1001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say Goodbye to Greece... on: July 22, 2015, 11:26:19 AM
Bye bye Greece.  Come back when you can even attempt to solve the crises you have; not passing the buck to the next country.

I dont think they are trying to pass the buck.  Yes they should have acted years ago to stop the low retirement age and high pensions.

But, the whole reason they were "bailed out" in the first place was bad PRIVATE bank loans.  Now the bailout effectively transferred the private bank debt to the public.  That is wrong.

At least now we can talk about bail outs and hair cuts, knowing that the banking sector is saved for another day, and that the risks are again in the hands if the taxpayer while the profit goes to the bank.

What a great world, that we live in. Roll Eyes
1002  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing! Is this the beginning of the end for bitcoins? on: July 22, 2015, 11:22:21 AM
Its been holding mid $200 for the last two months.

I dont think it`ll go down on significant price drops. Selling at anywhere near mid high 200ish is still decent, if you plan to buy back in if it ever drops to low $100ish.

What is more interesting to observe are the orderbook plays of one big entity on bitfinex. Every time the market moves in one direction he is trying to accelerate this effect by either using his buywalls to support a floor or taking out his buywalls and creating sellwalls to make bitcoin look that it could crash down to 150$ in a blink of an eye.
1003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 22, 2015, 11:14:17 AM
...
I cannot cast stones at the OP because I too have made overly optimistic predictions myself.  At this point I am just consoling myself with the great lessons I am getting in patience and perseverance.

What you need to learn is basic economics/mechanics of penny stock trading.  Your patience has lost you a shitload of money already Undecided

Your advice is where most people have lost money in crypto. I remember one girl who sold a million Megacoins back in the fall of 2013 for around a penny each. Two months later the market cap jumped to almost $50 million. Many of the coins in the top 50, or even top 100 will do well in the next 12 months or so. Many of them will outperform Bitcoin by a wide margin.

No, most people loose money in crypto by failing to laugh at coinpimps and cryptofluffers, such as OP and yourself.
"Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month," imagine that shit?
Even now you try to pump that failed shitcoin you got stuck with.  No frickn' scruples at all.  None Undecided

There would be much weeping and gnashing of teeth, had anyone been fool enough to take you seriously.

First of all, you keep hiding behind different accounts, so you have ZERO credibility. 2 posts by some smart-ass kid with a new account... What an Ultra-Maroon!!!

I've made a relative fortune in crypto using a long term approach, so speak for yourself. It's guys like you that hide behind the Internet to make up for your inadequacy. You are obviously a big loser, because your attitude is a dead givaway. I know that's it's difficult for peons like you, but at least keep your bad advice to yourself. You are costing the lemmings a lot of money.

Oh, and if you give a crap about your reputation, you would know that only less intelligent lowlifes use terms like "shitcoin".  Roll Eyes

But while we're on the subject, thanks for bringing up Megacoin.  Grin Grin Grin
I try not to harp on it too much, but it is my favorite coin. Been fairly consistently in the top 20 coins since it's inception. So again, your lack of intelligence is showing. It is a legacy coin, much like Litecoin, it has been around longer than 95% of all alt-coins. Coming upgrades, and a block halving this fall will keep us towards the top. Those smart enough to invest at these prices will get a bargain in the long run.

So run along and try to convince yourself you know what you're talking about...  Wink

If you want to keep showing up here looking like a fool, and getting spanked... Have fun!

That this guy is wasting his time on an official " shit"coin forum tells me more that it's either not that shitty or this person is getting paid to troll in a specific way.

The same way that people get a few bucks because of their signature campaigns, i would assume that this kind of trolling gets a really good extra payment per post, trying to influence the mood in the speculation section.

iCEBREAKER

I must be an Asshole Libertarian (because that's just kinda the way I am), but even lil ol moi thinks that security and health of the Bitcoin Ecosystem might require the occasional *tweak* now and then.  As in my idea posted a couple of weeks or so ago re minimum BTC amounts (sayBTC0.001) and/or minimum fees (say, BTC0.0003) to fight off the spammers...

I don't mind paying a bit more for my BTC payment to go through.  And, really, who needs micropayments?  (Oh...., was that an ominous silence I just heard in here?)

*   *   *

(Hear you re getting rich programming if I could do really advanced calculations)

And this thinking would drive all the markets that infact need the bitcoin ecosystem, either to offchain solutions or cryptocurrencies with a lower fee.

I am talking about the unbanked and poor economies.
1005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a double top? on: July 22, 2015, 10:55:13 AM
It looks and is a cup and handle

I agree  Cool

We really need this after almost 2 years. Time to send the bears to their caves!

Can't agree more. After 1 and a half year of bear market, everyone hopes for trend reversal but at the same time has pretty low expectations after the false rally in the summer of 2014 and the crushing free fall in the beginning of this year.

In my honest opinion, this might be the perfect brewing for a new storm. A lot of bulls will sell at what they think is the top, just to buy in lower, but the market will leave them behind. I expect the unexpected.
1006  Economy / Speculation / Re: nrd525 Market Tracker on: July 22, 2015, 10:47:23 AM

Is there a known LTC mixer site?

I did a bit of Googling and didn't find one.  There might have been LTC mixers a couple years ago.

once I searched for it too and neither found a thing.

Isn't this a clear businesses opportunity?
1007  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: July 22, 2015, 10:45:27 AM
I bet the mining industry will try to pump the price as good as they can. They will have trouble selling miners when the ROI halves.

I don't think the mining industry has any significant impact to the price.
Human greed will kick in including the fear of missing out.
Almost like a self fulfilling prophecy. Exciting times are ahead of us.
1008  Economy / Speculation / Re: GOLD to 200-400 (prediction) on: July 22, 2015, 10:41:48 AM
Welcome to GOLD (XAUUSD) forecast topic Wink
I will follow and update this forecast in course of time.

Current price 1163

Target 200-400

Forecast
Mid term: -----no-----

Long term: Short at 1163, STOP 1345, Target 200-400

Just compare the current media coverage regarding gold and the similarities to the coverage in 1987. The headline was the same, bur it was the bottom of the downtrend and gold multiplied its value 3 times in the following 12 years.

Armstrong released a good article about it just a few days ago.
1009  Economy / Speculation / Re: PnF TA on: July 22, 2015, 10:36:33 AM
I just thought of realised something - if BTC counterrallies to Gold, Gold will fall faster & harder!

BTC will go up even faster than it would too.

How can we relaise this in a TA matter ?
Money from Gold will flow into BTC

Thanks for the fast reply Smiley

What I meant is, is there some sort of Charts we can look at when what you says happens, or we will just witness a rally ?
You can watch a BTCGLD chart like the one in Vaultoro (maybe Bitgold has one too, haven't checked).

What you wanna see is 2 things:
1) Who has the upper hand?
2) The upper hand is rallying relatively to USD too?

But at the same time there is huge negative media coverage currently for gold.(bitcoin coverage is pretty friendly or at least neutral) What history showed us is that this might be a good time to buy some gold.

On the other hand, it is just a stupid stone.
1010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 22, 2015, 10:28:41 AM
Every day is one day closer to the halving. One day closer to the next ATH. I've started banking my trading profits in BTC instead of dollars. We'll never see $220 again.

I expect the halvingday and finally the ETF(we're waiting long enough, seriously..) will ignite a new rally. The cuurent prices of 220-300 are just the old 5-12$ price area.
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: July 22, 2015, 10:25:38 AM
Bitcoin will be worth between $10k-$50k.

This is the level that i also predict. I expect a price of 20-25k$. It might look insane now, but with a growing network and more and more usecases, the price has to go up. At the same time i think bitcoin is currently extremely undervalued.

1014  Economy / Services / Re: OPEN SPOTS [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: July 14, 2015, 10:27:36 PM
Hey Marco,

I don't want to nag because of a few cents, but i didn't get a full payment for my calculated 43 posts. Is this because of a rough estimation for spam ? Or was the payout lowered because of the rising btc price ?

Greetings and thank you for your time,
Wex Smiley

1016  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: July 13, 2015, 08:53:01 PM
Or people have made their sidebet on Monero when it still was cheap  Grin

hm? It's not cheap any more?

Now, yes.

When BTC hits $1Million, probably not.

I think it's been stated elsewhere that a good way of valuing XMR is as a percentage of BTC. Subsequent XMR rallies should take it to: .01, .1 and beyond. Maybe we can get an idea of what the endgame looks like by comparing amount of money in off-shore/tax haven accts vs taxed accounts?

XMR is not going anywhere with just one exchange, which even went full KYC.

Wouldn't it make more sense in your position to work for 2 hours instead of doing all this "research" just to make 1-2$ per trade ?

edit: Or sell your signature space. I mean, honestly...

When I said 'research', I not only meant learning about trading/speculation/etc. but also learning the ins and outs of how the crypto-currency world works, everything from developing to scam-spotting to individual altcoins and their specific communities.  That's knowledge you can't put a price tag on...!

1018  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hate myself -_- on: July 13, 2015, 06:27:24 PM

so $4 isn't much and yes I'm just a student , I asked for an advice here so I would know what to do if it was more money that's all and for god sake I'm still learning don't be harsh on me  Sad .

Edit: as a student I live with 3 other students in a rented room ,and  I can manage to live on $4 for two days with two meals every day ,so yeah.

As a fellow broke-ass student, I'll share the two most important pieces of information I've learned so far:

Quote
1. Don't take anyone's word as truth - form your own conclusion after lots of research (you seem to understand this already Wink). By blinding following someone's advice, you could unknowingly be giving them all your money.

2. Only trade/buy/sell what you can afford to lose

I also put $50 into BTC when I had the money.  Shortly afterwards, I was injured and couldn't work, so I had to take it back out and convert into fiat (luckily I made $1 off the investment instead of losing anything). I did keep $5 of that $51 in BTC, bought some altcoin, did research, mined what I could, did more research, traded, did more research, and lost a lot because I didn't do enough research.  But now that $5 is $15 (was $20 at LTC peak)!

Either I lose it all and cope with the loss of $5 - or I play my cards right and continue to profit!!!

By the way - to answer your question, I would hold (unless you really need the money for school).  When it comes to this market, history tends to  repeat itself, in terms of highs and lows...

Wouldn't it make more sense in your position to work for 2 hours instead of doing all this "research" just to make 1-2$ per trade ?

edit: Or sell your signature space. I mean, honestly...
