For tomorrow it looks like Red Bull will still be the better team and I am expecting them to get another win unless something major changes. Max is just way too good and he has been quite satisfying to watch and it shouldn't be really a shock for them to get another win.

Do you know the story "The Hen That Laid the Golden Eggs"? That's what Max is for me (until now) haha. I am only surprised by odds, if it is more than 2.5-3, in my opinion it is too much - but ok, good for me. Last years, when F1 was dominated by Mercedes, I think bets for Hamilton were much lower. But what is true, now there is more competitive situation, with Ferrari etc.

1002  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 20, 2022, 04:12:58 PM
I have placed again 3 bets for btc price, for two ranges <30<. I think (I hope…) it is unlikely btc price will go below  25k during the week. Let’s see… I have also placed my bet for Verstappen.
FUN token is for 30sats for longer period already, I strongly consider buying some more. Maybe in the beginning of June, after btc price results.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Github build vs downloading source on: May 20, 2022, 11:53:49 AM
You actually do not want to clone the code from Github and use it verbatim because if you build that, you will get a debug build.

In particular, it will include commits from a few hours ago that are not tested fully and can compromise the stability of Core and could even have regressions.

Checking out the tree to a known working version e.g.  23.0 is identical to downloading the corresponding source code from bitcoincore.org (and the Github Releases page), and is absolutely necessary to do if you want a stable Core.

That's why it is better to rely on TAGs provided by authors. Usually tag x = release x, that way you are (almost) sure that final product will be the same as released binary.
For example for the latest version you look for that state: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/tree/v23.0
The same zipped sources which you see under /releases/ have the same content you find using tags.
1004  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to change my email address. on: May 20, 2022, 06:16:29 AM
I require a Bitcoin signed message from either the address set in the profile or an address previously used to deposit from as proof of ownership. That is time consuming for me but it is the only way I can protect your accounts from phishing attacks.

Oh, you do it? Great, I truly appreciate it! (+merit) Right, it is time consuming, it must be done manually (I guess you do not do it often enough to invest into creation of any script or automatic process), but as you said - the only way to show you are somehow connected to the freebitco account.
It would be a good to add that advice for newcomers - do not deposit BTC directly from an exchange - always use your own address (even if it would cost you some sats extra).

Has anyone recently reached this mark? Kinda trying to improve my earnings from freebitcoin. Though lost bigger satoshi's yesterday in multipler.

I am stuck in 1/3 of desired amount. On the other hand, just like 2 weeks ago I many, many lottery tickets from my WOFs.
Anyway, I hope to win some sats with F1 GP this weekend. And deadline for May BTC price is coming, 4 more days, so I think we will discuss it on Sunday.
1006  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to change my email address. on: May 19, 2022, 07:49:24 AM
It's not enough to just claim that you have lost access to your old email address. That way anyone could request access to anyone's account on the gambling platform.
Do you have a way to prove you are the original owner of the freebitcoin account?
Do you think company should accept proofs like signing a message from the account(s) which was used for deposit and/or withdrawal?
If there was not deposit, it is really difficult to proof ownership.

That could be a good idea to sign a message from the original wallet that you have deposited or withdrew money to it.I had a problem not long ago that maybe someone hacked my password and was trying to reset it,I got a lot of email messages which I deleted until Freebitco.in changed the password for me automatically and since then I am OK now,I was using an old unsecure password but now I just saved this new one in my Linux box and I will be fine even without 2FA authentication.

This means that Freebitco.in has all the security requirements in place but they cannot do anything if you lose access to your email account, that is almost impossible to proof and the only way maybe could be that signing a message from a wallet you have used to deposit or withdrew money from the site.

Exactly. The problem is when user has many possibilities but just not use them. On the other hand I understand that they want to simplify user's life and do not enforce 2FA, changing password every month etc. At the end lost sats stay somewhere in their wallet...
But for sure you cannot say you had no chance to protect your account.

Ah, I completely forgot - they also ask for mobile phone number to restore 2FA. So yes, there are possibilities. Maybe indeed signing message from own address would be too much (but still an option).

Rather than extract and process it manually from million of books, you could scrape or use API on website which list most popular sentence. Few random example,
1. Quotes, https://www.goodreads.com/quotes
2. Idioms, https://www.theidioms.com/list/
3. Phrase, https://www.phrases.com/top100.php

Yesterday I have found that project: https://github.com/dwyl/quotes and I launched search on their quotes.json, but no result. Maybe indeed it is an idea for future (just after your post I found https://github.com/JamesFT/Database-Quotes-JSON/blob/master/quotes.json) but as I said - each quote should be launched in several ways and maybe used as a "root" for other quote (phrase + number? phrase + special characters?).
I am not sure if I want to go that direction, especially that number of potential hits is unknown (maybe there is no single brain wallet founded address anymore?). Of course it is possible that sha256 of random text produces key to existing address, but I exclude possibility of such a luck.
1009  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core wallet.dat file containing 3.5 BTC + Password Hint on: May 18, 2022, 12:25:29 PM

Well i managed to download it few days ago and loaded it in bitcoin core and it seems normal wallet.dat file. the address with balance is, 1NUW3z5z6cNs8Ltd2cN2BnxP92dySdcuG8

Usually you do not need to load a file into Bitcoin Core, it is enough to open in any text editor and look for the phrase name

I tried to search the address and it lead me to this site: https://allprivatekeys.com/wallet/3.53BTC

Exactly what I wrote 2 weeks ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5397331.msg60052093#msg60052093

The market exists, but after initial excitement I am not sure if people are not tired of lack of success and if their business is still running. For sure they were able to earn some money (+ other's like satoshidisk which is/was used for hosting).
1010  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Deleting Electrum wallet on: May 18, 2022, 10:38:12 AM
HI, I use my Electrum wallet app on my Windows PC. I recently deleted an Electrum wallet file (not the app itself). I expected to find the wallet file in the Recycle bin but it wasn't in there. (Normally all Windows files which get deleted go to the Recycle Bin.) Does anyone know why the wallet file didn't go into the Recycle bin? Where did the deleted file go, if not in the Recycle Bin?

Main question - did you delete it outside of the program or did you use Electrum File->Delete?
Electrum deletes file instantly (no Recycle Bin), your only option would be to use 3rd party Recovery services (application or give hdd to service).
First at all, shut down computer and unplug disk.

Heyyy, 5000 RPs on my email Wheel of Fortune. I'm now more than halfway to claiming the RP conversion, $15 for something I do to kill 5 seconds of time daily on my commute over the past few months.

Great result, congratulations!
Indeed we should roll as much WOFs as it is possible. We haven't seen base prize 50 for a long time.

150,000 tickets only gives you 0.1% of winning. That's one win in 1,000 weeks, and as we all know, probability doesn't have memory.

Nor mercy Wink I think what is more disappointing is not the fact that you do not win, but the fact that someone else wins with just a few tickets.

FUN costs now 30 sats, after I locked bigger amount for longer, I still did not decide if I want to buy some tokens at that price- I miss some for minimum amount (500) for locking. I think I prefer to spend free sats on F1 betting.
1012  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 18, 2022, 07:08:02 AM
Wow, you are right. And another one, 22BTC with 6 referrals. Insane results.
I wonder if they know about each other and if they have any kind of deal, like a % of weekly share back etc.
In fact it could a whale who plays on 2 accounts, real one (child) and extra one (parent) where he plays just for the commissions from referral account.
A lot of those accounts on top 10 stats are really old so most of that 22 BTC was when BTC was around $200.

Ah, ok. I did not realize it is "all time top 10", as usually/in the rest of the page/ each ranking is time limited (per week, or per Lambo period).
Especially that graphs at the bottom of stats page clearly indicates the values are for the last 10 days.
Does it mean Jackpot winners and Overall winners also shows stats from the beginning?
1013  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Brainwallets re-checked on: May 17, 2022, 06:57:13 PM
My gut feeling is that people use as passwords/seeds words of cultural or historical origin such as those found in newspapers, magazines, and other print media.

Probably you are right, but I have a feeling that each of phrase should be modified - internally (remove dots, change to lower/uppercase etc) or externally (add suffix and/or prefix). It complicates things a lot, because if you know that someone used phrase "To be, or not to be", you may play, change text, append year of birth of his seventh son etc.
But if you extract millions of phrases to process (from quotes from books or movies to slogans from commercials)... too much work in my opinion.

But, guys, who of you have used address bc1qc0kwr8clxgj63dp77sr4ql9zhexq2a6aw85ltw from the phase "bitcointalk" ?
It's me.   Wink

;-) Fine. I have missed your post, interesting idea!

That is always one of the main problems. Sometimes, by good promoting the site, you will be able to find a lot of referrals, but keeping them active is always the hard part. In fact you only need one whale as referral and you can earn a lot of money. Look at the nr 7 in the stats section for the top 10 affiliates. He only has 3 referrals but yet already won over 16 BTC thanks to them!

Wow, you are right. And another one, 22BTC with 6 referrals. Insane results.

For today in 12 PM European time there is a 5x more reward points per roll which is a really good opportunity for people who love to gamble as they get not 1 but 5 reward points for just 500 Satoshi wagered and this is a great opportunity to increase the reward points, beside that we get those "worthless" lottery tickets and we can even get Golden tickets if we wager long enough.Personally I am trying with 55.000 Satoshi and with a multiplier like x17-x23 in wagered amount should net some nice RP together with a couple of Golden Tickets.

What I am now really missing are RPs from referrals. As they say:
Quote
(10 RP/free roll, 5 RP/referral free roll, 5 RP/multiply roll)
huge base of referrals really pays back at promotions like that.
Unfortunately I have almost nothing from referrals, almost all of them stopped playing.

I think situations like LUNA crash etc. makes very difficult to invite a new people to the game.

I have added the results of tests agains 3... and bc1... addresses. As expected, not so many results - 35 phrases, 36 addresses ("secret" was used for both addresses).
But, guys, who of you have used address bc1qc0kwr8clxgj63dp77sr4ql9zhexq2a6aw85ltw from the phase "bitcointalk" ?
1017  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Brainwallets re-checked on: May 16, 2022, 07:34:55 AM
Hello

Inspired by recent discussions about brainwallets (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5396293.0) and (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5396801.msg60015668) I decided to repeat the famous excercise of retrieving 18k brainwallets. It was an interesting experience to build a GPU program for that purpose.
I have used list of used addresses for 8th of May (http://alladdresses.loyce.club/all_Bitcoin_addresses_ever_used_sorted.txt.gz) and database of 15462473182 passphrases "all_in_one_p" (https://weakpass.com/all-in-one). I was also considering using extended list of phrases (the one which contains unprintable/special characters) but finally I decided that maybe I will do it later. Because of number of target addresses and memory limitations I had to launch program several times, using each time 30mln addresses for a bloom filter - larger database would make the whole process 3 times longer and I did not expect very different results.
For now, results are only for legacy addresses, today or tomorrow I will launch the same search but for p2sh and bech32 addresses. I am not sure if we may expect any significant number of results.
Results so far: 18995 addresses. I did not check each of them, but from what I observed, many of them were emptied in 2016.
Address 12AKRNHpFhDSBDD9rSn74VAzZSL3774PxQ from phrase "1" is still alive Wink and probably used by bots.
I have uploaded the results there: https://github.com/PawelGorny/BrainwalletsPhrases
If you see strange/suspicious phrase in "legacy_words.txt", try to find it in the file "legacy_results.txt", to see if it was not a address or privkey incorrectly extracted. Unfortunately, for some compresses addresses I have lost the phrase (I had a bug during saving to file, around 20% of compressed addresses has no phrase) - but WIF is there.

The lottery thing, when I see people with 50 tickets won and I having more than 20.000 tickets not winning is not something that makes you feel good but we all know that the number of people with less tickets is bigger than those with a big number of tickets so in theory they have higher chances to win,it just doesn't feel good when you see it.I never won anything from these and I think these are the most worthless prices when you get them in the WoF spins because I have disabled them in favor of RP-s during the rolls.

Yes, yes. Last week I was again executing my free WOFs every day and (unfortunately) it gave me quite big number of lottery tickets. No luck, anyway. But someone made it, came into top 10 with just 50 tickets, which is just a 1, single, base win.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Polish League - Ekstraklasa Prediction & Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 15, 2022, 06:53:30 PM
after the new polish champion was determined yesterday, the 3 relegated teams with górnik łęczna, termalica and the 'white star' wisła kraków have been determined today.
today's away defeat of wisła at radomiak (2-4 after a 2-0 lead Shocked) leaves the club after 26 the highest football league in poland Undecided

Difficult time for the legendary club... But it was already too late, as even with the victory whey would have less points than Slask.
I wonder in Gornik Leczna will fight again for the Ekstraklasa or if they stay in the lower league for longer.
1020  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LoyceV's small Linux commands for handling big data on: May 15, 2022, 05:31:03 PM
Mysql is also good, they give https://www.mysql.com/products/workbench/
I will not force you to install MS SQLServer or any monster from Oracle.
Let's say you decide to use postgresql. Then you receive a very nice client - pgAdmin https://www.pgadmin.org/  Using tool like that will be very helpful for you.

Then you may for example: create table (tx id, address, balanceChange),
txid could be our primary key (unique), you should also create index on recipient, as you will launch search using that field.
load data:
 https://sunitc.dev/2021/07/17/load-csv-data-into-a-database-table-mysql-postgres-etc/
(create index after you load data, otherwise loading will take ages)

Then you may very easily check balance change (delta) for each recipient:
Code:
select address, sum(balance) from tableName group by address
It should give you list of addresses with their balance changes.

Just try to list all the possible use cases, think what do you need, how you want to use it - to build a correct data model. It may be the most difficult task - just not to duplicate data, etc
https://www.guru99.com/relational-data-model-dbms.html
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_normalization

But if you start, sky is the limit Wink it will be much easier than playing with text files.
