It is not possible for the Etheruem to replace the bitcoin at the moment. It is under attack all the time now. Actually this will help the network long term but it's getting a little tiresome, let's see how the next fork goes and if there are any upcoming news with Casper. The price doesn't seem to be dropping below $10 anytime soon even with no news and regular attacks. |

I'd like to see a healthier order book, though no doubt the whales will flock in after the fork and pump it up to 7k BTC to ignite fomo... It will go above 0.02 for sure, no doubt about it, how high nobody knows but it could touch 0.023-4. Forks are Ethereum trademark already and nothing to be afraid of, it shows they are hard working and try to improve this infant technology as much as possible. For everything else, we have Bitcoin, it may be slow and stubborn but it gets the job done. Ethereum mission is much more ambitious. The DAO hack was badly conceived and handled, I would've done the same thing really and the voting was in favor for it. |

The steem price started to fall when synero started to be hyped (some of the hyping was done on steemit and some people actually cashed out to buy synero).
Long term I think it needs a new wow aspect to it's economy otherwise it really is just a pepetual machine of write and cash out.
Exactly, that's all there is. We can all speculate about what they can do in the future but there's absolutely no future business plan (AFAIK). If Steem developers would say, we'll monetize the site and set a cap limit, well that makes more sense. People stopped buying Steem because there's no point in doing so, buying Steem is where the money comes (not from the blockchain like many idiots regurgitate in their posts). It comes from gullible people who don't understand how things work. Yes our whole civilization works basically the same way, however it's enforced in a way that you have to participate, no other way around unless you want to move to another country with other laws or space. The bottomline is no one really needs to buy Steem, you are better off donating your money directly to bloggers and whales. The system as it currently works is an absolutely pyramid scheme, no other way around it. They won't run with the money, they will just continue to cash out. I'm afraid that once it's close to being dead they will implement some of the changes stated above in a way to keep milking it for one more year. I won't even mention how the whole system came to be, shady mining, early birds/whales, witnesses, multiple accounts... |

I like the whole concept of Steem, but I can't see how price can ever hold up when you have people's steem power continually growing even when they are powering down on a weekly basis. It's like a perpetual money machine. How can that ever hold up over the long term??
The genius idea behind it is that there will be suckers that will keep buying Steem for unknown reasons (like speculation...yeah right, traders are idiots). That's basically its whole economic system. I like many others called it from the start but I can't believe serious guys with PhDs and fund managers have fallen for this, it's the simplest thing ever and I've seen users here debating it like it is quantum physics. You buy Steem, you are basically donating your money to bloggers or supporting whales powering down. That's all there is. You power it up, you still lose money, just 90% less. Just keep your 100%. The same could be said for almost any crypto. The top 10, top 20, etc... are all still pure speculation plays. Also why is the general vibe that Steem will stay with its current structure? Steem can change and based on CNX's coding history, I highly doubt it will stagnate and die from a development standpoint. If Steem sets a top cap then the situation can change but the whole system is based on infinite growth. There's absolutely no incentive to buy Steem as we all know, it will dilute forever. Do you buy something that you know it will dilute in value? Don't tell me company shares, most pay dividends and are deeply tied to their growth. |

All i remember hearing is shitloads of topics here on the mobile wallet. Someone was hell bent on posting that it had the most users or something. Whats to know ? It was my whole crypto investment. But before you go telling everyone they are an idiot remember it looked nothing like the usual scam. He wasn't anonymous, he registered as a limited company, he was one of first to use the company that was susposed do to do fair launches i.e. koinify. There was no reason to think it was a con....and it wasn't actually a con it was a guy promising something and not delivering anything like his promises. I think the idea is great, messaging and sending crypto. Thing is I think Daniel thought it was great too but as things developed he got the sniff of bigger bank money and took the core of Getgems i.e. Sending money with the blockchain and decided the getgems project was going no where. Do I know if he intentionally did this and had it in mind at the start, I'm not sure. He quite possibly did or it was something that came up in the journey. Either way he is an asshole who stole money from me and if there is ever any legal way to strangle this guy economically I will. I personally think paykey is bullshit anyway. The guy will get what's coming to him soon enough I'm sure. Well that's the issue here, startups don't always succeed, is actually the other way around, most are destined to fail. Most investors are aware of this but this is different, I didn't follow much of how it all unravel but from what I read there was no actual explanation or words from the "team". It seems like a controlled, quiet demolition and exit strategy. Especially the Paykey stuff. If GetGems would release how they expend the whole ICO investment and call it a day, I don't think anybody could complain, it just didn't work. But that's far from the current situation. |

It is cool, coin holders=share holders. But can we get money from bittrex? If i store my tokens there. As far as I learned from SNGLS Slack, net income will be instantly distributed periodically as ETH among Ethereum wallets that have SNGLS. There's no easy way to distribute to holders who have their tokens in the exchanges. Anyway, let's "hope"  that the team can make something like "The Blair Witch Project" or "Paranormal Activity" which made 4,000x in profit. They made $248M out of a budget of $60K and $193M out of $15K respectively. Super Size Me, also a low budget documentary, made a killing. That's too much wishful thinking but of course it can happen. Most movies aren't even profitable so it's no that easy. That's why I'm wondering is we as token holders would get royalties. Let's say Ethereum documentary is great and Netflix or Discovery Channel want to include it on its schedule, how that would be handled? |

that's retired for more than 10 years is crying. To think major roll players in the

He got an extremely good deal, I did not like his performance overall and I guess he is shooting too much 3 that slow down the team rhythm when he is not hitting them, interesting to watch how he perform with this sum of money for his deal. Interesting off-season with KD being one of the most interesting deals IMO. I think he fits with the team, he is not a star player and with the new salaries it's a fair deal for everyone involved. They could've paid him less I guess but Cleveland is in a good position right now because it secured all its stars before the new salary cap and now they are "cheap". I also feel JR is still young, 30 years old is not old in basketball by any means and he's not a very athletic type of player so he won't suffer that much. I think he's a poor 's man Ray Allen, without clutch shot and leadership of course. But he can be lethal from the 3pt line and become a scoring machine when others are not having a good game. The season is very long and Cleveland definitely needs him. The reason other teams don't offer him that much it is because he's a gamble and unpredictable. No team will commit to a guy who comes from being a champ and has dubious professional ethical behavior. He may bail on them. Cleveland took a gamble (a very cheap one) when he was in NY and it worked out perfectly, now it's time to reward him and keep him in check. |

I was and still am a big supporter of the ICONOMI concept however I am really disappointed with the team and the public relations aspect as well. At the same time this could be a good thing if disgruntled supporters dump when we "eventually" get released or this can totally flop if someone comes to plate and does it better. The concept is great but the execution is now starting to decline as they have the money and don't need to beg for it anymore. I wouldn't be so cocky if I were them because this is a free market and they are exposed and vulnerable to competition.
Please, projects take months and years to develop, you think Ethereum got listed after a week? Just look at Lisk and Waves, they still don't have nothing to show. I know Iconomi is a simpler project but still, what's the rush? what really changed in two weeks? Do you think people are crazy to pump it to $10? The ICO went for more than a month, enough time to get in for everyone. The only ones trying to get it listed are the ones in for a quick profit, and that's all fine and all, but don't disguise your intentions for something else. You want your ICNs now to dump them. I already see mine at Iconomi site just fine. |
