1001  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay your debt with monkeys! on: April 21, 2023, 10:31:17 AM
The real question here is why would the Chinese accept monkeys as payment? Are they going to eat them? Grin
Are they doing to sell them to the ordinary people as pets(or maybe put them into zooparks)? 4000 dollars per monkey seems like a lot to me.
I definitely wouldn't pay 4000USD for a monkey. Maybe the next step for the government of Sri Lanka would be to sell people to China and send them to work there as slaves. I'm joking, but the whole situation is absurd.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 21, 2023, 06:06:35 AM
Removing the sponsor's names from the shirts most likely won't change anything. I don't know anything about the rules of gambling advertising in the UK. Are the TV ads of betting companies banned in the UK? If the answer is no, then the amount of gamblers won't decrease, even if the football clubs remove the gambling logos from their shirts. I don't know why the football clubs decided to do such thing. If there's a serious problem with an increasing number of gambling addicts in the UK, the British government must step in and do something about it.

the decentralized nature of bitcoin can make it difficult for government and regulartory agencies to monitor and control its use. This can create challenges in areas such as tax collection, money laundering prevention, and consumer protection.

This topic has been discussed a million times. You don't add anything new to the discussion. Just read the old forum thread about this topic, rather than creating new threads.
It's obvious that Bitcoin isn't the most convenient currency for payments. Bitcoin is more like a financial asset, rather than a currency.
If you are too afraid of Bitcoin's price volatility, just don't use Bitcoin. Trying to change Bitcoin protocol, in order to make the price more stable would be step in the wrong direction. The price volatility of Bitcoin has nothing to do with "regulation, money laundering prevention and consumer protection". If there is such connection, can you prove that it exists? Grin
1004  Economy / Economics / Re: Why America Can Be The Biggest Economy In The World? on: April 20, 2023, 10:06:27 AM
1.Lots of natural resources in North America.
2.The educated and hard working labor force, which was migrating from Europe to the USA in 19th and 20th century.
3.The freedom of doing business in the last 200 years(which actually declined in the last 20 years).
4.The lack of wars in the North American continent(after the American civil war in 1861-865).
5.The two world wars helped in boosting the US economy and turning the USA into the global financial center.
6.China and India had big economies 300 years ago, but they were heavily exploited by the European colonial powers, which destroyed most of their wealth back then. After it's liberation from Britain, the USA wasn't exploited by any European colonial power.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 20, 2023, 06:29:21 AM
It's been awhile I try daily to make profit

Stake casino mostly mines

But it take back profit.. I have 2k balance.. is there method

To get 100 $ per day

1.Don't gamble with the intention of making money. Gambling is not a money making method.
2.You can't make consistent money out of gambling. Even the most experienced gamblers lose money.
3.There are casinos like Betfury, where you could earn tokens from gambling and the tokens earn you monthly dividend. Good luck trying to gather enough tokens to make 100USD per day. Grin I'm sure that you will have to spend a million dollars on Betfury, in order to gather enough tokens.
4.If you have the feeling that you are becoming addicted to gambling, you have to quit immediately, because you will lose all your money and get into debt. Don't ruin your life.
1006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: April 20, 2023, 05:57:49 AM
The Bitcoin price will drop below 30K because many traders, who bought BTC at 17K-22K USD will sell and cash out the profits. The demand for BTC isn't stable enough to form a FOMO phase and push the price way above 30K.
We shouldn't pray for the mercy of the Federal Reserve to lower the interest rates and help for pumping the Bitcoin price.
I keep repeating that the crypto winter isn't over and the lest price pump is NOT a bull run.
It's funny how people, who aren't experienced enough on crypto trading give financial advice to people, who are active crypto traders for years. Freaking out because the Bitcoin price dropped by 5%, 10% or 15% is total newbie sign. Grin Bitcoin is volatile and it will always be.
1007  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 19, 2023, 09:51:07 AM
I can't see how the USA will become crypto friendly in the near future. Both China and the USA will remain hostile towards all cryptocurrencies, because they will keep pushing their CBDC projects(as we all know, CBDC are NOT cryptocurrencies).
Banning crypto is the same as banning drugs, alcohol, prostitution and gambling. It doesn't work. It only gives more space and more business to the criminals and mobsters. Having a good regulatory frame is way better than a total crypto ban, but the politicians and the bankers simply don't care about the crypto industry. They want money in their pockets. This is the only thing they care about.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 19, 2023, 06:10:40 AM
Chelsea, again we're outclassed. Chelsea needed to win with at least two goals something they only managed twice in their last couple of games frank lampard instead of packing his team with firepower the caretaker boss pick an extra midfielder at the expense of an attacker duo Chelsea continues to threaten the home fans showing them an appreciation for their intensity of their t Madrid soon gained a foothold in the game this was another crushing defect in a season of many and one which has effectively ended their campaign it was not a night for Chelsea

You can't play with too many attackers against Real Madrid. They will punish every mistake in the middle and in defense(and they did).
Chelsea had enough goal opportunities to take the game into additional time(and maybe penalties), but they missed all of them.
Congrats to AC Milan for getting into the semi-finals after 2007. I was supporting Napoli, but the player from Georgia with a hard to pronounce name missed the penalty. Grin An Italian team will play to win the Champions League, after Juventus failed two times in 2015 and 2017.
I will support AC Milan against Inter.

1) Normies (or lazy people who don't want to do research and want to follow trend)
2) Bots
3) Bitcoin uneducated people

Why do you think that the "Bitcoin uneducated people" are different from the normies? There are many ignorant people, who are lazy and they simply don't want to start learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. You can call them however you want- normies, uneducated, lazy, sheep, etc. I don't divide them into different categories. They look all the same to me.
I don't think that the crypto influencers will go away. Most of the people have the mentality of sheep. They want to follow a leader. They don't want to be their own leaders and put their shit together. The world will always be full of stupid and lazy people, that's why the crypto influencers/crypto scammers will never fade away.
1010  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀🎲⭐️LeeBet.io | $100.000 Grand Opening Event | Innovative i-Gaming Platform on: April 18, 2023, 10:52:48 AM
OP is calling this an I-gaming platform, but as far as I can see, this platform offers regular casino/gambling games(dice, crash, coinflip).
What is it then? Is it an I-gaming platform or a gambling platform? We have to clarify this, because there's a big difference between gaming and gambling? Grin
Anyway, the giveaways/bonuses at the launch of this platform seem to be just way too generous. Almost too good to be true. Grin
What's the point of joining a Telegram bot and answering a bunch of question in order to receive a prize?
OP should post here the questions, which the participants must answer, in order to get a reward.
Good luck with this project, OP(I'm assuming that OP, who started this forum thread is the owner of this project, but I might be wrong).
1011  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe Not Possible For Governments To Get Off Fiat?? on: April 18, 2023, 06:44:25 AM
Fiat money means two things: fractional reserve banking and money printing.
Fractional reserve banking is the main reason why the global economy kept growing with high rates in the last several decades.
Moving to a currency with a limited supply would mean the end of money printing, which means that the economies won't be running on steroids anymore and the artificial economic growth will become a thing from the past. That's why no politician or banker wants to dump fiat money.
Your example with Canada isn't good, because Canada is totally economically dependent from the USA, when it comes to exporting goods.
Other countries(like China, Russia and India) are way less dependent from the USA and they could easily dump the US dollar.

As jobs change, workers will need to develop new skills to remain competitive in the workforce.

AI could also develop new skills, which means that the workers have to develop more new skills, but AI will eventually always beat them at learning and developing new skills. This seems like an absurd downward spiral, where the people cannot compete against the machines.
The only solution would be to put enough control over AI, so that the people could preserve their jobs. Or maybe AI is a step ahead to a future with universal basic income, where AI robots will do all the work, while the people could just live their lives without having to work and consuming the goods they get from AI robots for free(or by spending their universal basic income). I know it sounds ridiculous, but who knows what will happen in the future.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 17, 2023, 05:53:29 AM
Hi there guys,

Since I've seen what happened to Coinplay, my question was: Why we should play with minor gambling platform, and not use only gambling platform like Stake, CloudBet, fortunejack ecc. which ensure us good games, 100%

of safety in terms of withdrawal and provably fair (about games)? This question is also for the owners of gambling platform, maybe they can help to reply it.

Nobody is saying that we SHOULD play on minor gambling platforms. You could play on any platform you want. Just be careful and don't deposit big amounts of crypto on any platform(it doesn't matter if it's big or small). Just gamble for fun and spend money that you can afford to lose.
I don't know about any small online casinos, that can offer something more than the big ones. Sometimes the players just fall in love with a small casino and the casino grows and becomes a big casino. Sometimes you have to give a chance to a small business owner, who is legit and willing to develop and grow his business, while staying honest to his customers.

As a result of targeted marketing, a significant amount of these losses have been
borne by unsophisticated investors, including many minority investors seeking rapid
investment growth without the knowledge or information to assess the risks
associated with such investments

I can't see how did you come up with the conclusion that Bitcoin/crypto is considered racist by the SEC.
Actually SEC is racist, by dividing the investors into "minority" and "majority". The investors are investors, their race and ethnicity doesn't matter. Of course, many people from the minorities aren't financially educated, but we can say the same thing about many white people as well. Many crypto companies have conducted misleading marketing in the past. I agree that the SEC must punish all shady crypto companies, that are scamming their customers. There's nothing wrong with that SEC statement.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: April 16, 2023, 10:05:44 AM
Capitalism wants consumers. More consumers, who keep consuming more and more. Consumers, who get in debt in order to buy stuff they don't need. More consumption means more profits for the banks and corporations. More loans and more debt for the consumers means more profits for the lenders. This is the matrix we live in. Is it necessarily bad? Maybe. It has pros and cons. The pedestalization of making money and greed is one of the flaws of capitalism, if you ask me. The economy cannot keep growing forever. There are limitations to the economic growth.

We at MegaPari got used to a format of a lottery - we ask players to fulfill certain requirements and collect their IDs in order to pick winners for rewards.
First they were some bonus offerings, now we are also giving away "physical prizes" - a luxurious vacation or even a Lamborghini crossover. (details in our ANN thread, btw).
But here what concerns me - I think we need to move to a more engaging way of communicating with the audience while  running such campaigns.

Would you guys mind sharing you vision on the following:
-Do you personally take part in lotteries by online casinos?
-Do you track the progress and results of such campaigns?
-If so, are there any changes you would offer to make lotteries more exciting?

1.Stop collecting IDs of the lottery participants. Grin Perhaps this is the main way to get more people joining your lottery.
2.Personally I don't care about luxurious vacations or Lamborghinis. I would join a lottery, if the prize is just money(cryptocurrencies).
3.Ask the participants to share your lottery on social media, in exchange for more lottery tickets for free. This way you will get free advertising, more web traffic and more people joining the lottery. The viral effect is really important in online marketing nowadays.
I'm not sure whether or not some social media platforms would allow such promotions. Sad

There are so many strange things going on with the US dollar right now, I believe that the US dollar will be backed by Bitcoin someday (the Us dollar being backed by faith is not enough); it may not happen now, but it will happen in a few years.. sounds ridiculous right?

US dollar backed by BTC? Not going to happen. The US dollar isn't backed by faith. It's backed by the US army and the CIA. It's backed by the fear of the USA(the so called "deep state"). There's no need to back the US dollar by any financial asset, because this way the FED money printing machine won't be limited by anyone and anything.
Anyway, 13 years ago this guy made the right prediction that Bitcoin is going to be widely adopted by the gamblers. It's funny that he asked for donations. I guess that begging for BTC donations wasn't banned on Bitcointalk back in 2010. Grin
1018  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: April 14, 2023, 10:12:33 AM
Hi there

I have been playing some time now on justbit.io. Won some money, and my account stands approx 8 mbtc. I asked to withdraw 5 mbtc and today they asked me for KYC procedure (ID and other stuff). By their site states explicitly that they do not ask for KYC if crypto was used to deposit. Update: They confiscated today all my winnings without any other notice, nor waiting for me to send them the documents.

"Confiscate" is the wrong term here. Only the government can confiscate something. This casino simply stole your money. Angry
I don't get it. Why would a casino ask for KYC and then seize all the money without waiting for the user to upload documents?
Somebody is hiding the truth here. OP, did you do something wrong on the casino? Did you somehow break the Terms of Service of that particular casino? If the sincere answer is no, congratulations, you got scammed.
1019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Progression in price on: April 14, 2023, 06:07:13 AM
Adam Back said and i qoute him: in Q1 2023 bitcoin price increased from 31 dec 2022 - 31 mar 2023 by ~70% (~$16.6k->$28k). interesting to note if that rate continues bitcoin would be:  jun $48k,  sep $82k, dec $140k. or for $100k by 31st dec, price growth would need to fall from 70% to 53% for Q2,3,4.

I agreed with the price progression but it may not hit those percentage, what determinant factor do we hold on? that the big cities like U.S, China and Nigeria kicking against it can freely allow surviving of the price to hits such imaginable price of $100k by DEC. Least am expecting by DEC is probably 70k bull.

There are no such things as "progression" and "regression" when it comes to a market price. The price is determined by the supply and demand.
The price can go up and down, because the demand can go up and down. Just because there is a certain price pattern, that doesn't mean that this price pattern will continue in the future. I don't expect a 70K-100K Bitcoin price by December. I expect the crypto winter to continue until the spring of 2025. There might be a big bull run several months after the 2024 halving, but nothing is guaranteed.
1020  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Being Russia and Russian now on: April 13, 2023, 10:46:01 AM
The western sanctions will have a slow and graduate impact over the Russian economy. The negative impact will probably be higher in the upcoming years. Russia still has currency reserves, so the budget deficit can be covered. I wonder what will happen, after Russia consumes all the currency reserves and the budget deficit increases? Where will the Russian government find money to cover the budget deficit? Increasing taxes? Seeking a foreign loan from China, India or Saudi Arabia? Cutting government costs(which is close to impossible right now)?
Anyway, the life of the "average Ivan" in Russia won't change that much in 2023.
