That was a good shortie-but-sweetie (only 5 minutes) interview with Michael Saylor, and he continues to be quite a good spokesperson on the bitcoin investment thesis [...]

Looks like '2x per year' idea is now mainstream... I noticed they both of them described the long term trend of BTC as 100% per year...

I can live with a BTC/USD gain of 100% per year:

Year        BTC/USD
-------------------
2020   $     17,000

<...>
2031   $ 34,816,000
2032   $ 69,632,000
2033   $139,264,000
<--- My prediction of 1 cup of coffee = 1 sat comes true!

If bitcoin get to $ 139 millions I can’t see them coffe priced less than 200 USD.
Having both bitcoin and fiat working at the same time is an accident in history. It cannot go on for long either one of the two must break soon.

Maybe he drinks that expensive sh!t with golden snowflakes. Smiley

Attempt ad 2nd bottom on the 4hr. Not out of the woods yet and it can sure still go to $15,xxx the next few weeks, but it’s an encouraging signal  Cool

please pic or it didn't happen.  Grin

maybe we have reached a new well balanced accumulation zone?

take a look at the chart and imagine if this is just the beginning like it was in the past.

Thread seems pretty dead for beating on a new ATH no?

Or you all to busy crossing your fingers and rubbing your hands together?

Yeah. You. Are. Right. Smiley

The reason is that the last few years felt a bit depressing when looking at the price. And now, 20K just doesn't feel enough anymore.

Maybe at 250K some of us will get some 'inner spark' so we can combust and burst in flames from the excitement, that the whole world is giving a flying buzz about the price. But that will not happen until all sorts of media sources start buzzing some sort of nihilist attitude towards Bitcoin, and every time the price goes up against their propaganda and eventually they capitulate in saying every week that the price will crash. Smiley

Imagine telling the media every week that trump won fairly after a new recount for that week, and they would just give up after a while to try to convince the majority that anything over 50% it is actually less just because they can't accept it. Smiley

Depressing?
Bitcoin hasn’t been “low” since like $1k..

Pffftt..

edit(0)*:  I think its more about vanity the price gives, then an actual specific disappointing, mediocre and common weak ass ATH. Smiley

It is about:  a inflation / deflation of the time passed < > price risen < > news hype < > praise of confidence

For some of us now, the price kinda doesn't rly matter anymore. It is just a matter of hubris. A d!~k measuring contest of who can twist the flaming knife better in their enemies wound. Tongue  Roll Eyes

edit(1)*:  Considering " B I T C O I N " has the numerology of " 2 9 2 3 6 9 5 " ... meaning it is getting down to : 6 .... Smiley  ... 6 is about f%^cking, love, exchange, harmony... But mostly f^cking having a good time.  Cheesy

Exactly!!!!!!  What is 6, anyhow?  Seems to be an upsidedown 9 as far as I can determine based on my superficially looking into the matter.

No! It cannot be upside down. Smiley

But if you think of 666 ! God bless Satan. 6 + 6 + 6 is 18 . And 18 is 1+8 that is 9. <3 ...So you might have some truth. But the BTC from the beginning is the number 2. And 2 its about money. So the sound frequency that it starts when the whole word is pronounced its money related.

But more on 6 you can search numerology quacks on the webs about it for more depth into the matter. But my view on 6 is that is a 'friendly' number and its kinda wacky. Because in my view, if there is a girl with the numerology of number 6, then she is very likely that she will be friendly with everyone and she will f^ck many boys in her life. Smiley

... Goldbugs, ...

They sold their stash and learned the intricate process of "how to physically own bitcoin on your computer." Smiley

Sure, the smarter ones got into bitcoin.. but there are a good number of goldbugs still fighting bitcoin and also consultants who are not afraid to tell their clients about gold but fail/refuse to introduce their clients to bitcoin.. and the relatively flat performance of gold, in spite of the recent gold exuberance, was the context of my post that you cited to describe that ongoing phenomenon.. and relatively slow migration of the gold bugs over to bitcoin, and of course, there are layers, too.. and some gold bugs that are going to take longer before they come over to bitcoin.

By the way, I see that last week's candle was a pretty BIG ass green wick.  It opened $15,975 and it closed $18,435 (nearly $2,500 between open and close - so a pretty hot candle)... so, yesterday's little $1,000 dip and then mostly recover brought the closing BTC price down a wee bit (maybe $200-ish, perhaps).. but surely, we are still going into the 8th weekly green candle with a bit of a high number that is not impossible to sustain as green, but surely this eighth's week green candle is going to be interesting to watch... the next 7 days continue to be critical.tm

Trust me! ... Cheesy Cheesy ... I'm a programmer. And BTCiT-coin is worse then any competitive video game. YOU JUST CAN"T WIN ! With that in mind, I don't think these "pumps" are just pumps. The fact that the dips have a short duration, means more then it should. Tongue

Edit(0)*: I should do some research into who coined the term "bite" or "byte" so I can make an astral chart to get some clarity into all this nonsense!  Roll Eyes

When the price starting taking a down turn when I woke this morning I was expecting a retrace quite a long way down to perhaps around 15k or so.
This just goes to show the strength of the bulls this time as we are bought back up to almost where we started before the dump.
Let’s see this rally shift into the next gear this coming week.
Shaping up for a fantastic Christmas. Helps to make me smile through what has otherwise been a pretty lousy 2020.
Cheers to my fellow holders.

You have such potential for support group empowerment in beliefs. Cheesy Cheesy  ... You feel like a strong pillar of the cult. (ofc... bitcoin cult that is that I'm talking about) Cheesy Cheesy

What will be the top of this run-up ? Going straight to 20k ?

That's what my gut is telling me; place a sell order at $20k and let the universe do its thing.

I took some profit - feels toppy(I could be totally wrong tough). Guess it's okay to reward yourself a little after hodling and buying the corona dip and allocating 100% of your savings into bitcoin/crypto.

Who are you kidding, man? Smiley ... it doesn't feel "toppy" ... !!! Its just beginning... if I'm saying "toppy" before I reach 250k before Easter, then I'm fake news! Cheesy Cheesy

https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/bitcoin-miners-iran-have-new-buyer-central-bank

"New regulations ask miners to sell their crypto to the central bank."

When (not if) the global central bank arms race to stock up on Bitcoin reserves begins in earnest then 100k will be dirt cheap coins.

But doesn't this mean that they will buy from exchange with the money they get from Central Banks? And probably will ask more money then the spot price for this "favor".
Or they will just hoard it and not sell it at all?...
Or just make it disappear. Basically there is no rule against miners just moving their equipment in smaller apartment-house or off-electricity-grid smaller farms. And government won't know who is mining them and where they come, or where they are being sold.... Duhhh?? Smiley

*Edit: Any scenario, will make the price pump! So... I guess... its bullish news! Smiley
