1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs allowed for US Citizens/Residents??? on: October 05, 2017, 02:55:47 AM
Is there a list/website/blog of current or upcoming ICOs which highlights whether US citizens/residents are actually allowed to participate/invest. It's frustrating doing all the work and research, and finding some ICOs that actually seem exciting, only to learn in the 11th hour that the ICO is closed out to all US investors/buyers for regulatory purposes (btw, I'm not comfortable giving false information to the sponsors). Is it worthwhile to just wait and try to buy in the after-market at some reasonable price? I must not be alone with this annoyance, right? Your thoughts, suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Smiley

That sucks op. I really feel bad for you. But as bad as it is, I really don’t think you’d be finding any ICO that allows participation from people in your country. At least not any time soon. If you try to put yourself into theirs shoes, you would understand. The best thing you could do is not search too much about a coin if you haven’t confirmed yet if it is available in your country. So you can avoid wasting time and energy. Goodluck op. Hope you find an ico that would accept you someday.
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH is probably DYING on: October 05, 2017, 02:45:59 AM
From the very first rime i saw BITCOINCASH, i already had a prediction on what will happen to it. Because if you look at the reactions of most of the people in the cryoto world who got a hold of it, they sold their bitcoincash possessions as soon as possible. Only a few held on to their coins. It was clearly overrated. Have already told a friend about this but didn’t listen. Now he is seeing the way i do so he is now thinking of selling his BCH at hand and plan to keep a bit just in case. Which is what i did.
1003  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ETH address honeypot? on: October 05, 2017, 02:41:38 AM
i found the private key to this ETH address:

0xB7605ddc0327406A7aC225B9dE87865E22aC5927

first i thought: fuck, 31k tokens worth about 30k $.

then i had a closer look @ https://etherscan.io/address/0xb7605ddc0327406a7ac225b9de87865e22ac5927

a lot of failed transaction. a lot off attempts to transfer the MinereumToken away.

so i think somebody is using this a an honeypot. people find the private key and sent ETH to the address to be able to transfer the ERC tokens. but as soon as there is enough ETH to be able to transfer MinereumTokens the ETH is drained.

Wow man, is this for real? Damn! I did not expect something like this. Pretty great idea of the maker. Genius! haha. Would really like to see the reaction on the faces of those greedy mother fckrs when they found out they wasted sht for nothing. Lol. Serves them right. Haha.

Great job on realizing and sharing that story here though. Really made my day.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Endorsed Cryptocurrency on: October 05, 2017, 02:35:17 AM
Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??

My take on this would be positive. Because i have seen a lot of fans of famous people do various stupid things just to be like their idols. And even if some of them are not that obsessed, seeing their idol talk about a certain coin. Curiosity will kick in and will probably crawl bit by bit into their heads at night. Which then may lead into them doing their own way of research about a certain coin to find out what the fuss is all about. Then probably jump in, then spread the word and so on.
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH & LTC? on: October 05, 2017, 02:25:41 AM
hi!
i am using BTC from almost 2 years  and now i want to invest in other cryptocurrencies i just want to know is it profitable to invest in ETH and LTC because these are the fastest growing currencies after BTC,just need your suggestion about it.

That isn’t a bad idea at all. Because looking at the movements of both coins on the charts both in the past till today, i think it did a good job. So i say go and invest. Both coins are pretty good for long term investments if you ask me.
This just me though. Im not a credible source of info. So if you want to be sure.do your own research and get your hands dirty.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signatum on: October 05, 2017, 02:08:25 AM
Nope I don’t think so. That is why i voted no. Because, as everyone can see, the poject is actually really promising and has really great potential to succeed. Comparing it to some other coins today, there are quite a few that are more deserving to be called a scam.

This has happened a lot already in the past already, where promising coins get called scams by people who don’t actually know much about what they are talking about or are jealous and/or maybe just too afraid to take the risk.
It is normal. But i wont say you should believe me. Do a lil research on your own.
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Bans All Initial Coin Offerings on: October 05, 2017, 02:00:25 AM
South Korea’s Financial Services Commission has announced that all initial coin offerings will be banned in the country. and said
"All kinds of initial coin offerings (ICO) will be banned as trading of virtual currencies needs to be tightly controlled and monitored."

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/south-korea-bans-initial-coin-offerings/

What do you think? Is this ban only temporary and after implementing regulation it they will change their decision or they will do what China did?

This is being talked about a lot already. And is somehow intriguing if you ask me, because this may be just an attemp to get dumping dominos.

But if this is true, i do not think that tgere really is much that we should be worrying about. I love buying low priced coins so..

Now, regarding the duration of the ban, I don’t think its gonna end anytime soon. Because if you read what you posted, they clearly stated that they want to have clear vision of all the transactions. Meaning, they want regulation. So unless they figure out how, I think the ban will stay as it is.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: October 05, 2017, 01:51:23 AM
Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?

I suggest you read every white paper of every coin you have your eyes on. And do a little bit of reaearch about the developing team of every coin you may like. So you have a really great insight of wht these coins are and their potential. It is better to know for yourself than to know because of others. No one can give you the most honest answers than yourself alone.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Mining CryptoCurrency on Porn Tube Sites be the Way of the Future? on: October 01, 2017, 08:36:26 AM
Although a lot of old hags would hate this idea, i think this would really work. Considering how big the porn industry is today, i really can't see why any project connected to adult contents fail. Maybe some can fail, but it would then be obviously the fault of the developers themselves.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How should we regulate ICO's? Let's discuss. on: October 01, 2017, 06:27:42 AM
In light of the recent ICO bans in China and S Korea I think it's time that we discuss how we should regulate ICO's.

I have a lot of ideas, a lot, but I'm not going to post them all yet. We'll just start off with a few.

My 2 primary ideas are:

OCR - Office of Cryptocurrency Regulations. There would be one in each country and they would coordinate via a secured forum and there would be one internationally or Int OCR and they would moderate that forum to prevent collusion and corruption. No OCR staff would be allowed to buy into ICO's that were in their jurisdiction all communication between them must be through the secured forum. Large countries with provinces or states could have an OCR for each state or province and so there would be a hierarchy for purposes of appeal the international one being at the top.

ICO insurance - There are two parts to this. The first part is ICO failure and the second part is all the dangers that the insurance agency will require including manmade and natural disasters and probably centralization risk. The ICO failure would be determined either on a case by case basis or it will be a set rate determined by the OCR. An ICO failure is the rate of ICO sales reached compared to your funding goal and the OCR would approve the funding goal so that you can't set BS funding goals to be 100% you don't fail. So if the OCR sets the failure rate at 40% of your funding goal and you only get 38% you have failed and have to give back all the investors money but you could file an appeal. The Insurance would cover all the operating expenses that led up to the ICO sale and the premium would increase should you file an appeal but OCR would control the maximum amount allowable that the premium could be increased.

The OCR has a set of guidelines and requirements that they will use to judge your ICO submission for approval and would be openly published on the OCR website and printable. You will either be accepted as "in consideration of approval" and if after 2 weeks if no other OCR from another couintry objects or has strong concerns an official approval and "good luck ladies and gentleman" letter is written to you by the OCR or your ICO submission will be declined and what needs to be corrected will be pointed out. If the ridiculous factor is just so high then OCR does not need to take the time to read submission thoroughly. At the end of the month the OCR will issue letters to all candidates that are in consideration of approval and will make a list for all other country OCR's to see what is being considered for approval for feedback or any objections.
------

I'm kind of new to Cryptocurrency but I can see there needs to be a gatekeeper that stops the ridiculousness. If we go about this some other way like only investment firms are allowed to invest in ICO's that takes away the decentralization part of investing and centralizes large pools of money in a small number of places that are vulnerable to attack  the way Mt Gox happened.

There are rules in place for crowdfunding, there should be rules in place for ICO's, the OCR would exist to protect the small investors without removing the decentralized method of obtaining funding for creating a new cryptocurrency.

What are your ideas? I have a lot more but I think it's time we diuscuss this.
If you have any regulations ideas post them and we'll vote on them as a community and the second post will be reserved to summarize what we do agree on.

If you like my idea of OCR's and ICO insurance let me know and I'll go more into how that should all work.

You have some great ideas there pal! And I strongly agree with your points. But as good as it sounds, I don't think it will be happening any time soon. Because ALMOST(not all) everyone inside the crypto world are greedy people. And most of them would probably hate your idea. Specially if they are making this a living. We can only just wish this happens for the better pf the crypto world.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: create a new currency on: October 01, 2017, 05:53:24 AM
Hello all ..
As a beginner we like to know some information about how to create a new currency.. how to register, protect and activate it.

Thank you so much

Wow, pretty big thought for a beginner. But anyways, the only advice I can give you is to read instead. A lot. Rather than relying on other people's words. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that asking questions is a bad thing. Its just that, questions should be asked only when you can't find the answers by yourself. Not as am excuse to keep yourself from hard work and feed your laziness.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DDF (Digital Developers Fund) paying net profits? on: October 01, 2017, 04:07:39 AM
acording to this...:

"What Token Holder Get

Token holders profit from the value increase in digital assets through a proof-of-membership in the fund. In addition, they participate in the distribution of fund net profits as quarterly dividend. Token holders receive their dividend through a smart contract as Ether payment. The first net profit will be distributed September 30th, 2017."

holders of this token will receive some payment today 09/30/17. Does anyone have received this payment? i didn't

Wow! This is pretty cool and a very good news! Only if this happens to be true though. But I gotta aay, this really is also an awesome strategy to attract lots of investors. Because everyone loves freebies. Too bad I couldn't get a hold of this token due to fund issues. :/
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOWHEAD HEALTH Project SCAMMED Bounty Hunters! on: October 01, 2017, 03:47:57 AM
Bloodyhell! Im sick of seeing these scam reports! Damn these scammers! These kind of people who do nothing but sweet talk everyone when they need people and then just show their true colors when they already got what they need. I really wish karma crawls its way into these lazy scammers.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POS]New Logo Community Voting on: October 01, 2017, 02:46:28 AM
All designs are pretty amazing. Congratulations to all the designers who participated. But there is one logo that really stood out for me. And it is logo #34.i really love the uniqueness of its design. The way the design had turned out is really beautiful. Nothing can really express this coin any better than entry number 34.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detect a scam ICO? on: October 01, 2017, 02:29:07 AM
How to detect a scam ICO?

By not being stupid. Lol.
Seriously though, there are aot of ways if you really wanna be sure. And i think you probably know if not all, then most of them. So next time, don’t ask questions that google can answer man. Do a bit research about your question first before asking here. Relying on others and being lazy won’t get you anywhere.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of new tokens, which are the best? on: October 01, 2017, 02:17:41 AM
With all these new tokens being released what are some if your picks for the best ones?

Actually op, i have a pretty good number of coins in mind. But I think I’ll just mention a few that really caught my attention. which are nimfa, utrust, cryptogene and guts. I chose this coins because i see great potential in them. Brought to you by my gut feeling. Lolol. Which by the way, has never failed me. Nit even once.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coin so far on: September 30, 2017, 09:58:53 PM
Just want to open it up and ask people what there favourite cryptos are so far,

Personally I have been surprised by Bankera, I bought into the pre ICO and every week they have been paying the ETH

commissions into my wallet, also looking forward to Electroneum and BQX......

Well, its always bitcoin for me in terms of heart and everything else. But in terms of profit alone, Ive got a lot of altcoins as my favorites to be honest. Although i got a lot of coins at hand, I’ve got 3 new coins that i like. Which are utrust, cryptogene, and nimfa. That i can really say have great potential. Also the signature i am carrying is pretty interesting. So i think I will be adding guts.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RECOIN - The latest SCAM Altcoin Warning!!! Please Read!!! on: September 30, 2017, 09:44:46 PM
It doesn't sound much different than most altcoins to be honest but thank you for your assessment, if it is as obvious as you say I'm sure many others will notice it too.

I totally agree with you. Any man or woman being scammed by this if op’s accusations are true more than deserve being scammed. Because any investor should learn to stop being lazy and do more research about the coin they are thinking to make an investment on before diving in. Rather than just throwing money into the pocket of these scammers.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] GET-Protocol - V2, Signature, Slack, Twitter, Referral on: September 29, 2017, 03:09:33 PM
Are the personal texts and signatures still the same from the last campaign or we have to update it? Thanks
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever recieve payment by mistake? on: September 21, 2017, 04:36:30 PM
There are a lot of ppl who has sent money to the wrong address. But I curios, is there somebody who received payments by mistake? How much if yes?

Nope, haven't heard of any. But damn! I would love to recieve some free cash! Hahhaha i mean who wouldn't want to? Lol. But i think it is pretty impossible to happen. Because not a lot of wallet are present today. And each are made to stand out from others. So I really don't think it can possibly happen. Well, unless if the sender makes a mistake in cooy pasting addresses, then that would be possible to happen.
