1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: August 10, 2023, 12:01:53 PM
I think actions like that, triggers KYC verification..... so the best way to prevent that, is to stay on the platform and to withdraw smaller amounts. Just keep playing small amounts constantly and withdraw small amounts occasionally.

If there is one thing that casinos hate most, it is players withdrawing large amounts of money .... no matter if it is after a huge win. They will spin that "KYC" nonsense... but it is just delay tactics to get you to stay longer and to gamble it back into their bankroll.  Roll Eyes
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 10, 2023, 11:12:28 AM
The people who lose everything are just greedy and trigger happy....

I had friends who knew nothing about Bitcoin and they rushed into the first thing that had "Bitcoin" in their pitch. Unfortunately some of these investments were Ponzi schemes that promised huge profits. They did not think twice.. or did any research, including asking me if it was the real deal... so they lost a large amount of money being greedy.

When you buy & Sell Bitcoin you have to be patient.... it is not a "Get rich quick scheme" or something that gives you a constant passive income. You simply buy low..... wait for a rise in the price ...and sell at a ATH.  Wink
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I see it, I feel it, I know it and it will live forever. on: August 09, 2023, 12:43:40 PM
I have been in the IT industry for many years and one thing I know is that nothing last forever. Just look at what are happening in the cellphone industry. (Every year new cellphones hit the market with improved features and before you know it, then the latest technology of the year before ..are outdated the year after that)

The Alt coin spinoff from Bitcoin are a typical example of how Crypto currencies are evolving. Bitcoin was once the only option and now we have 1000s of Alt coins in the Crypto currency market.  Roll Eyes
1024  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 09, 2023, 12:34:33 PM
Well, if you asking this in terms of the Bitcoin market.... then there are loads of potential profitable opportunities. This technology are still relatively new and people are still finding very innovative applications for Bitcoin in the market.

You can only look at the limitless opportunities in the decentralized payment options to see what can be done to improve it. Bitcoin can change a lot of industries, if it is allowed as legal tender, but governments are blocking it by defining it as a commodity.  Roll Eyes
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 12:26:58 PM
The definition of Peer pressure is a feeling that one must do the same things as other people of one's age and social group in order to be liked or respected by them.

So you are saying that most people are gambling, because they want to get acceptance from the people around them. If that was true, then people would have been doing despicable things in certain poverty stricken countries.

We always have the option to choose what we want to do in life, no matter what the circumstances.  Wink
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 09, 2023, 12:18:31 PM
You see the best example of this, when you look at the way that Slots are designed. It will allow you to constantly win small amounts in the form of free spins.

So your body (brain) release small amounts of endorphins that makes you feel good.. and you get addicted to those endorphins. This is where the addiction sets in... because you get addicted to those endorphins... not the actions of gambling it self.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 09, 2023, 12:06:16 PM
A lot of people do not see the same level of anonymity that "cash" gives to criminals ..than what Bitcoin gives to people. This is why there are a global shift to eliminate "cash" and to replace it with centralized digital technologies.

The governments of the world hate any technology that can reduce their control.... they need to know everything about people's finances. They need to know everything about your finances, because it pays their salaries with the taxes you have to pay to them.  Roll Eyes
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: August 08, 2023, 05:54:28 AM
I think it is totally irresponsible to promote performance enhancing drugs. I have seen what this does to young people and it is devastating for the people who use this. I love school rugby and some children use performance enhancing drugs at a very young age to boost them to be better than other kids. (Everyone wants to play for the A-team)

Now the problem with this is the fact that these "drug" kids are much stronger and bigger than the other kids in their own age class. There has been instances where other "normal" kids got serious neck injuries, after being tackled by the "steroid" kids.

These steroids also increase aggression and it only takes something small to trigger a massive outburst and fights on and off the field. So, if they do this professionally in an Olympic Games, then kids will accept it as the norm.  Angry
1029  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: August 08, 2023, 05:45:24 AM
Well, I just want to say... Happy 6th birthday to Stake.com and thank you to all the people that are working behind the scenes to keep it going. I have been with Stake.com from the start, so I am amazed by the incredible growth that it has seen over 6 years.  Grin

Also thank you for the early Monthly bonus, because I really needed the boost. I hope you have several more birthdays in the future and I hope you will grow even faster in the years to come.  Wink
1030  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Linux vs MacOS/Windows on: August 08, 2023, 05:40:08 AM
I have created a seed phrase for Electrum on "Tails" (Linux) and then imported those word phrases into Electrum for Windows before, but I have not done this for a Mac. I presume that the word phrases are not unique to any specific operating system, so you can import it into any Electrum wallet, no matter what OS you are using.

Ps : Do not use "Tails" without a Persistent volume, because you will lose it. It comes with a default Electrum wallet installed, but it is mostly outdated.  Tongue
1031  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: can we send bitcoin to ip addresses? on: August 08, 2023, 05:33:05 AM
Why do you willingly want to dox yourself, by bitcoins being send to an IP Address that are linked to you? The whole idea behind pseudo anonymity is for you not to reveal your personal information.

You also open yourself up to a "Man-in-the-middle" attack, where a hacker can intercept the transaction with a spoofed or duplicate address and then you lose those coins.  Roll Eyes
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost my life savings trading Bitcoin Don't be like me. on: August 08, 2023, 05:27:54 AM
I have been where you were MANY times, with projects that I took on and then it failed. I had to start right from the bottom with several mistakes and it just made me stronger.

I learnt from my mistakes and I just worked harder to try the next project. Bitcoin is one of my biggest success stories and I am very happy that I stuck with it, until I made 800% profit. I sold expensive vacuum cleaners and participated in failed Ponzi schemes, so I know what you are going through..... just pick yourself up, work even harder... do more research and the success will come.  Wink
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 07, 2023, 06:01:18 AM
You need to look closely into the "jump start" phase of most of these NO KYC casinos that are entering the gambling scene. They will enter the market with big promises of "NO KYC" requirements, but as soon as they reach their target for users, they forget those promises and they start asking for KYC verification.

They know it will eventually happen, when they grow big enough to attract the attention of the regulators, but they still use that tactic. Just go back to all the "BIG" Crypto currency casinos that started out with "NO KYC" requirements and see where they are now. (Freebitco.in being one of them)  Roll Eyes
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 07, 2023, 05:51:54 AM
I am one of those gamblers that are doing it for fun, because I believe only a very small percentage of people EVER profit from gambling. Yes, there are some professional Poker players and people betting professionally on Sports, that might be making some good money... but most of the other people lose lots of money.

I started out dreaming of the huge Jackpot or the max wins that I might be getting and quickly realized that say 1% of people get that opportunity... the rest of the people are funding those wins.  Roll Eyes
1035  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why don't land-based casinos have an online version? on: August 07, 2023, 05:43:18 AM
I know some "brick n mortar" or land-based casinos like you called it, created online casinos during the Covid period. There was quite a few of them that popped up during that time and some of them even implemented Crypto currency deposits.

The operating cost of "brick n mortar" casinos are much higher than online casinos and people got a taste of the convenience of online gambling, so the demand shifted to a virtual experience and not physical casinos.  Tongue
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most worth watching Bitcoin movies on: August 07, 2023, 05:36:00 AM
You should actually change the Subject of your thread to "The most worth watching Bitcoin documentary" ...because you mostly listed documentaries in your thread.  Grin

My favorite is ... "Bitcoin: The End of Money As We Know It" - because it came at a perfect time, when Bitcoin were stagnating. The movies mostly concentrate on the negative side of the Bitcoin use case, where it is associated with money laundering / hackers and crime.  Roll Eyes
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be rich sheeple or free people, what's your choice? on: August 07, 2023, 05:29:53 AM
I think there are no "real" choice here..... How can you accept the 1000x price increase and then the government can raid it and you are stuck with zero coins.  Roll Eyes

The real value of Bitcoin is in the financial freedom that it offers you.... not the 1000x price increase that you get from mass adoption. It will be nice to have both, but governments will do anything in their power to prevent that.  Angry

1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 06, 2023, 12:49:20 PM
In my country .. "gambling" are the cow that are milked for "bribes" / "kickbacks" and corruption. The casinos have to pay to get operating licenses from the government and these government officials are milking them to award it.  Roll Eyes

They also dictate what companies gets the tenders for the projects that are funded by these casinos and it is usually friends and families of these officials.  Roll Eyes
1040  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: August 06, 2023, 12:44:47 PM
Is it just me ... or are the "errors" on claiming the bonus drops getting worse? Normally I can claim the drops after about 10 tries.... but in this last "Eddie" stream.... I kept on claiming and it went on until it says "Bonus unavailable"  Roll Eyes

Also... How do we know that the amount of "claims" are correctly entered by Steve? Eddie might roll say 4500 claims and Steve might only configure say 2000 claims. (Now I am not saying he is doing this, I am saying "how" can this be verified?)
