The same goes with mining, it is not profitable anymore for you to mine coins at home, it must be done with ASIC and in a large scale to be profitable over time.
Why has it to be done in large scale to be profitable? It doesn't make any difference if you run a "small" 100GH/s at 100W machine or a "big" farm with 100 TH/s at 100 KW. (Numbers pulled out of my ass, no Idea what the current specs are) Well there is one difference: While a small miner can run their equipment at a loss and just for the fun of it, the big miner will be forced to shut down when the cost of mining one BTC becomes higher than the price he can sell it for. You maybe can stand a few dollars of loss due to power cost each month, but when it's 1000nds each month there is no choice, you'll have to shut down. |

The hashrate should spread more. Slush, 50BTC, Eligius, EclipseMC, Bitminter are all good and responsible pools
Or use a real decentralized solution like P2Pool. Even if 100% would mine there, the network would be perfectly decentralized. Really, it saddens me, that despite claiming different, most miners seem to not care about the Network and can't even live with a bit of variance. |

I believe they asked to get answer whether the soldiers can sacrifice what they love most (as they are expected to do) Could also be the other way around. Are they willing to extinct an entire race (or maybe nation?) to protect their loved ones (homeland?). To the question: Logical answer: Save the dogs. A entire race is more important in the big picture than a few individuals of an already overpopulated species. Emotional answer: Save you family. And seriously, what human being would not take this choice? There must be something seriously wrong with you to sacrifice your relatives. |

Would that keep him from walking off the edge? When he stepped over the side he would still fall to the ground, perhaps saying, "Oops. My Bad!" Weather or not a person believes something does not change what the truth really is.

Mir fällt auf, daß der "frei laufende" Kurs die letzten 30 Tage eigentlich immer abwärts gerichtet ist, aber durch einzelne Pumps immer wieder nach oben geschossen wird. Man könnte auch schlussfolgern, das der Schwarm (die Masse der kleinen Spekulierer) eher verkauft, während die Wahle (Großanleger) eher in Kauflaune ist. Jetzt ist die Frage was den Markt treibt? Ich denke es sind eher die Großen die die Richtung vorgeben und der Schwarm schwimmt hinterher.  |

No that is not correct. Some miners could make the reward 100 BTC and it would be rejected by the nodes of every non-miner who doesn't switch. A 100 BTC block right now is INVALID. It doesn't how many people are mining them. Hashpower can't change the rules. 51% has no relevence. 1% of miners could mine 100 BTC blocks but they would be INVALID on existing nodes as would 99% of miners mining them. Is that also true of SPV nodes? I doubt there will be many, if at all, full nodes running that are not connected to mining operations in 10/20/50 years time. Most people will have online wallets, all that needs to happen is that the wallet provider upgrades, the users don't get a choice. As long as they are in control of they private keys and a single provider uses the Original their choice remains. They could just take all their BTC to the other provider and abandon the new Chain, even if their provider doesn't support the old Bitcoin for transactions anymore. |

The users wouldn't have to switch. They would have their transactions confirmed (most of the time) by the 51%, because they have more hash power. Miner rewards are simply an extra transaction included by miners in each mined block. Currently everyone agrees to use the same formula for calculating them (current 25 BTC per block). I could decide to mine for myself, and pay myself 100 BTC per block instead, but noone else would accept my blocks, so there wouldn't be much point. But if over half of the network decide to accept those blocks, those blocks get built into the blockchain, and the new reward structure works. No, Bitcoin doesn't work that way. Miners aren't all powerful and dictate my Node which Blocks to accept and not to accept. My (and every Node) works by a protocol that says that the current reward is 25BTC per block. If you would credit yourself more, my Node (and every Node acting by the same Protocol) would simply reject it as invalid and not relay it to other Nodes. Even if you had 99% of the hashing power. |

Ultimately, the people who control things like miner rewards are ... the miners.
If 51% of the hashing power decides to change the rewards, the other 49% has the choice of either going along with it, or forking to their own chain, and having two competing Bitcoins, with theirs being less powerful. 51% means the owners of the 2-4 largest pools.
There will be too many people who have invested too much money in mining equipment, and who have no philosophical attachment to a deflationary currency, to simply accept seeing their income vanish. At the moment, there are still probably too many people with ideological reasons to oppose this for it to work, they would simply switch to different pools. In 10/20/50 years time, that will no longer be the case.
They will find some way to rationalise the decision as being in everyone's best interests, but ultimately turkeys won't vote for Christmas.

Naja, so wie ich das im Blick habe sind es wirklich nur noch sehr wenige bei denen noch etwas offen ist.
Das ändert für die natürlich nichts für die Leute denen der Refund noch fehlt, fände es aber sehr seltsam wenn er die Mehrheit zurückzahlt und bei ein paar wenigen (soz. Peanuts) nicht zahlt und deshalb noch Konsequenzen hat.
Von dem her würde ich sagen, gebt ihm noch ein bisschen Zeit, es sei den er Kommuniziert gleich, dass es warum auch immer keinen Refund gibt.
Allerdings will ich hier auch keine Stellung beziehen, von dem her rücke ich die Daten Raus, sobald mir jemand eine Mail / PN weiterleitet in der den Refund beantragt hat (so das Candoo diesen auch leisten kann) und darauf bestht, dass ich sie rausgebe.
Allerdings sollen die ja mittlerweile eh schon öffentlich sein. Kann mir mal bitte einer zeigen wo?

1. Passen die Komponenten die ich mir ausgesucht habe zusammen oder muss ich auf was anderes noch achten ?
2. Treibt das minen die Grafikkarte so hoch das man sie total hören würde und an einen erholsamen schlaf nicht zu denken ist ? ^^
3. Würde es überhaupt gehen das ich den Computer neben dem Zocken minen lasse oder ist er dann bis aufs Maximum ausgelastet ?
(Mein Bruder spielt nur resourcenarme Spiele wie z.b. LOL oder Counterstrike Source)
4. Was würdet Ihr sagen lohnt sich bei der ausstattung mehr zu minen BTC oder LTC ?
5. Sollte der PC abstürzen oder Neugestartet werden sind dann alle meine Vortschritte im minen verloren und ich muss nochmal neu anfangen

Bei minen und direkt verkaufen ist dein Verlust bei LTC derzeit aber geringer. 5. So funktioniert Mining nicht. Entweder du findest einen schare, oder nicht. Es gibt keinen % Fortschritt. |

Auch abgesehen davon, das es Dinge gibt die man nicht öffentlich zeigen will, wie den Kneipenbesuch um 11, ist die Möglichkeit ohne direkte Verbindung zu mir Zahlungen abwickeln zu können eine Funktion ohne die IMO eine freie Gesellschaft nicht funktionieren kann.
Bisher hat Bargeld diese Funktion gegeben, bei der Entwicklung unseres Kaufverhaltens ist eine Digitale Variante IMO unbedingt notwendig.
Es gibt auch andere gute Gründe warum jemand nicht will, das eine Zahlung auf der Kreditkartenrechnung auftaucht, Beispiel ist z.B. die Tochter der religiösen Familie die einen Schwangerschaftstest braucht.
Das wäre absolut legal, aber muss trotzdem anonym bleiben.
