1025  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need help with open bazaar. Unable to connect with server. on: April 08, 2016, 06:08:20 AM
I wouldn't think I'd need much technical expertise but when I load the program all I get is unable to connect to server.  I've tried uninstalling multiple times.  The tutorial is no help at all because this first step isn't even addressed.
on wich os are you triying to install it?  when you enter your username and password into the server config, you have to modify one file too  in openbazzar folder who is located (in linux) under usr/share    , this folder is named: ob.cfg file (in the OpenBazaar-Server folder) ,
Scroll down until you find these lines:
#USERNAME = username
#PASSWORD = password
Remove the # in front of USERNAME and PASSWORD
Change the username and password to whatever you want, for ... and you should be done with your server fully working ..  relaunch your openbazzar setup , enter the same credentials you've put in your ob.cfg fine ... and GO !   Cheers!  Grin

1030  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Does Wallet with offline transaction signing Exist for Android? on: April 06, 2016, 08:22:37 AM
My wife use coinomi for android and that work also good but don't think they have the safety of electrum.

By myself I don't own Android Phone but IPhone so far I know Electrum and Coinomi are not available so I could not try it.
you also have ' bitcoin wallet ' and mycelium  on android... both works really well..

1034  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Need help in transferring my BTC wallet to another wallet... on: April 05, 2016, 12:52:50 PM

Blockchain wallet is a no-no from me
I think you should recommend OP another web wallet that works instead of Blockchain Grin
What exactly is wrong with blockchain.info wallet? I never heard about any problems with this wallet, while I heard that people are being banned from Xapo or Coinbase before.
Apart from the fact that this is still web service and can be closed at any time, stop working for some reason etc. I don't see any more flaws than others web wallets have.

And since we can run Bitcoin Core in prune mode I think this option should be considered - but AFAIK you have to download whole blockchain for the first time, wallet will synchronize and then old data will be deleted.
I've had bad experience with them, that's all
My wallet got hacked and the hacker stole all of my fund from there, just for clarification my pc is clean from malware or something similar to that, and I always access my blockchain wallet from my bookmarks, so no way I can be a phishing victim here even with 2FA enabled they still managed to gain access to my 2nd wallet
I'm just learning from my experience here Tongue
That's why I recommend people to use Desktop wallet to ensure their safety and if they still want to use online wallet then don't use Blockchain wallet Smiley
I never had any trouble with Xapo, though I don't know about anyone else on this forum the only downside is that their support is nonexistent Tongue

i completly agree.. xapo is OK , and yes there's some lag on their support..  ( i have to wait a looong time to get verified, even i had sent requested docs... but now all is fine , and their debit card system work like a charm. in other hand , i repeat, excepted xapo , i really dont support online wallets. Cool
1035  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Does Wallet with offline transaction signing Exist for Android? on: April 05, 2016, 12:46:28 PM

electrum is now ported on android too..  Wink

Yeah didnt have the time yet to test it, sounds promising though.

it as few little bugs, & it still need some improvements , but as ThomasV work hard on it , and as he had always maintened his software in a GREAT way, i'm sure it should be work fine in few days in all android versions. Wink

i personaly already use it without any issue. Thanx ThomasV   Cheesy keep on your good work !

1037  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Need help in transferring my BTC wallet to another wallet... on: April 05, 2016, 05:37:15 AM
In my opinion you don't want to download the blockchain, so you can use blockchain.info as Web wallet.
If you want more security then you can use Brainwallet in offline mode.
Always use a paper wallet as backup.
he dont have to download the blochain with electrum wallet too... Cool
1038  Economy / Services / Re: 0.005 BTC for the person who finds this person on: April 04, 2016, 07:23:59 PM

1039  Bitcoin / Press / Re: April 1, 2016 Overstock Invests $4 Million in Barbados Bitcoin Startup on: April 04, 2016, 07:13:21 PM
Appreciate the attempt, but the format is:

POST FORMAT: YYYY-MM-DD SITE - HEADLINE

From the sticky thread at the top of the section. Just pointing it out.

Thanks...
dude ... the format is correct. sorry if you cant understand it , as it is an international format..
& i'm really happy you apreciate my efforts Wink

kind regards.

Feel free to disregard the format specified in the forum, it only makes you look like a fool.

The format for the NEWS SECTION is NOT international, its YEAR-MONTH-DAY - HEADLINE. International format is day-month-year, which this forum doesn't use.

Enjoy.

waw.. i'm impressed..  there's so many real reasons to cry in this world actualy .. , sorry to see this hurt you so much..
but for sure i cant change your mind , i cant make miracle..  have a nice day.  (i hope you could gona sleep anyway ..  Wink)
