10421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price drop on: February 14, 2018, 09:57:16 PM
What might be the reason for the bitcoin price dropping from $ 20,000 to the present price? What do you think about?

There was a big speculations that when bitcoin future contract (CME and CBoE) coming into the picture, the price could go higher than $20K. However, its not the cases, because the price suddenly plunges to $6K. And those that bought bitcoin at the top price decided to sell because they think that bitcoin will continue to go down, they all got burned in the process. And then there's the FUD and governments regulating/banning bitcoin and cryptos.

Federer has asked for a wildcard to participate in the Rotterdam tournament next week!
if he reaches the semifinal he will return to the first place in the atp ranking and he will be the "oldest" n.1 in history!

Is Roger Federer really gunning for the number 1 spot here? Or he must take care of his health first?

But I will be happy if he will reclaim that number 1 spot. Nadal already did, so I guess Roger should have his turns at the spot this year. If he marches to the quarter-finals, the possible opponent will be compatriot Stan Wawrinka. This will be another classic.

As for the Davis Cup, USA will have the upper hand against Belgium here. I will also go with Spain, Croatia and France.

I think that for Federer it is too big a chance that it can not be wasted. he only has to win 3 matches (of which the first 2 easy) to return first and only Wawrinka seems a difficult obstacle.

Probably is. Stan is the only obstacle between him and the #1. And yes, I have to agree that it will be a welcome news to see him back at the top of the tennis world.

I think he is trying something a little different then last year and join a few more tournaments. Last year we saw him pick the tournaments spread out to give his body enough time to recover for the Grand Slams but maybe he feels that his body is much better this year. I think it would be great to see him return to the number #1 spot because he does deserve it and make even more history by becoming the oldest number #1.

Yes, last year we witnessed him taking sabbatical and just enter few tournaments. Maybe this time his body is well adopted to the grind and feeling very good at the moment specially coming from a win. Yes. everyone wanted to see him reclaim the top spot even for a brief moment.
10424  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies entitled to Twitter and Facebook campaigns in A bounty? on: February 11, 2018, 09:10:18 PM
Am abit confused and i want to be very clear so i would not be barred from this promising platform. Can Newbies participate in the Twitter and Facebook Campaigns in a bounty. Because i felt its only Signature Campaigns that Newbies cant participate.

I have a facebook and twitter account but its for personal used so I don't bother to joined. However, in the bounty sections, if I'm not mistaken, newbies are allowed to joined as long as you have the minimum amount of followers that the campaign managers have laid down.

For bitcoin campaign though, it different. Campaign managers are very strict and I speculate that they won't allow newbies to join even in a twitter or facebook campaign.
10425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: More traders.... Good or not? on: February 11, 2018, 08:40:48 PM
I’ve been wanting and taking my time to enter the trade game. But before I do, just wanting to know the prod and cons of having a lot of new traders coming in.

Trading is much more safer and easy to learn. I’ve been preparing myself for months now and wanted to start my journey here in bitcointalk. But like me? New Traders are comming in fast. Will it be a good sign to our world of crypocurrency? Or will it affect the competition inside?

For me it will bring good to the market. More traders means more money to make. But if you think that trading is easy to learn, think again. the initially journey will be a test to see how tough you are in this industry. I'm sure you heard a lot of members here complaining that even after 1 year in trading, thy are still at lost. So just be careful if you decided to enter, and only invest what you can afford to lose.
10426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC right now on: February 11, 2018, 08:20:17 PM
What is your take on BTC as of right now? Are you buying, selling or waiting?
If you are waiting, which price are you waiting for?

I am waiting for BTC to break 9,5k or to go through 7,5k. If it goes through 7,5k I'll wait to see where it ends. Above 9,5k I am in.

Right now you all can see the bitcoin right now it's in the weak trend with the downtrend in action is still going on and I cannot see any kind of strength signals or any kind of reason to buy the bitcoin in this down trending script. But yes i am expecting it to see it touch the 15k price level soon so that it confirms the strength in the bitcoin in fact after getting a ban in many major countries like India, Nepal, China, Singapore etc. I am just waiting for the right entry signal and right candle pattern to appear over there in the charts.

Please get your facts straight India and Singapore hasn't ban bitcoin yet.

Unfortunately, the run that we have its not sustainable and the whole crypto is going down but with small percentage, unlike what we have seen in the last couple of weeks. I don't know if we can break the $9.5 barrier, looks like its really a rough road getting there. After gaining, now we see that a lot has been selling again. I think this will be the norm unless some big news that will come to shake the market to our favor.
10427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Limit of Bitcoin on: February 11, 2018, 07:49:51 PM
I think about Bitcoin, and this is just my meaning.
As you know Bitcoin is limit. Total of Bitcoin is 21 million, we have dug nearly 16.8 million Bitcoin. Neither founder can not create more Bitcoin. Is this  the reason for raising Bitcoin price high and it's also cause for Bitcoin price reduction when we have nearly reached 21 million.

I'm sorry but you all got it wrong, once we reach the 21 million the price will even go higher. Why? Because bitcoin is limited and getting close to 21 million mined will make it very scarce, and with the huge demand, the price will literally grow exponentially. Also you need to take note that bitcoin has its halving, meaning that blocks is going to be cut in half. So there's a possibility that the price could also increase as well.

10428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 11, 2018, 07:28:55 PM
LBJ James and Thomas are not doing very well on the court at the same time!

The manager's tactics are relatively one-sided, and he can make Thomas a substitute!

A few days before the deal, if the Cleveland cavaliers' management doesn't change.

Cleveland will be a tough season!
This is the very reason why they traded Isiah.
I think he actually asked to be traded because he didn't fit in the chemistry of the team or Lebron, being lebron, asked them to get rid of him due to being injuried and then coming off of that did not produce or the cause. So essentially he was useless to them in trying to win.
They went something like 8 losses in a row at home with him the in the line as it is.
So he gets the boot off first. Cheesy
The Cavaliers have the chance to test their new players as they face the Boston Celtics tonight and though i am a Cavaliers fan, I don't think that there is even the slightest hope of victory for Lebron James and his team.

Wouldn't be great if they upset the Celtics with their newcomers? hahahaha. That will be epic.

But seriously though, I also don't think that they will have a slight chance because it will take their new players to adjust with the new system / rotation. At least 3-5 games will be a good gauge as to how they will get to play with Lebron and the rest of team. Let see how it goes for Cavalier, I think they will make the playoffs though but I don't expect them to win the conference championship.

I think he just wants to test the water here. I don't think he's aiming for the #1 spot here, but trying to see how he's body is recovering and responding from the grueling tournament he just won.

So its gonna be a win-win for him. If he reaches semifinals then he is #1 again, (yay), if not then he will go back to the drawing board and probably will take longer rest again and just choose which tournaments will give him high rewards.
10430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep calm and HODL on: February 11, 2018, 05:31:21 PM
That is a good advice.I always follow this rules.Because bitcoin price always increases and decreases as a result I buy a good amount of bitcoin, kepp calm, hold btc and earn a huge amount of profits. So you should also follow the method:Keep calm and hold.

Nothing really beat the golden rule: HODL. You don't need to do anything in times of crisis. That's why its not really advisable to check that often the price movement because you will be tempted to sell if you see the price going down. You will feel worried seeing the money in your wallet going down. If going to be tough, but if you have learn to control your emotions then I'm sure that you will be reward handsomely at the end for hodling on your bitcoins.
10431  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is like a cup of sand on: February 10, 2018, 08:08:28 PM
So I have a cup of sand.
Inside it are 25 million grains of sand.
I won't add any more to it, therefore the supply is limited.
You can buy one grain for $10k
I expect the price will rise to $250k by the end of the year.

There are other cups of sand out there but mine is the original.

It's better then gold I tell you.

Good analogy mate. But I don't think that the price can hit $250K at the end of the end. That's too much money to flow to the market and its not doable, not this year. We can get to that price but it will take many years and as I have said, billions to be pour from either the gold investors or coming from the Wall Street guys. Let's just put in a realistic target, let say around $40K-$60K will be a good guesstimate.
10432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 10, 2018, 07:36:25 PM

The Lakers were indeed picking up their performance and then suddenly they traded most of their players to the Cavaliers in a move that shows that they really didn't have any ambitions in the first place.

Nance Jr and Clarkson are good backup off the bench so I will agree to you.

Since rookie days, Jordan Clarkson has tremendously shows that his performance really blooms every game. He is the best 6th man for me during his rookie days and can be a candidate for this season. The Lakers bench is showing good backup to their starters so I don't know why they destroy their young lineups.

I agree, Jordan Clarkson has been playing tremendously good in the past seasons that I was caught off-guard why the hell the LA management traded both of them? He could really turn LA around with Lonzo as their main point guard. Sadly though they change their tune and traded the him. Well the trade has dosed their ambition for this season already. Maybe they are again rebuilding, but it will take years again before we can see LA at the top.

Although sometimes you lose in gambling but there are times you will fall on a winning stake. And as a gambler this is the most intense and thrilling part of the game. So guys tell us your excitement during this phase of your gambling experience..,

Well I have 3 days winning streak in a traditional based casinos. It was really thrilling because I'm almost out of my capital but during the last bet, I made a good streak and I was so happy going home. Next day, when back again, have another streak. I didn't even bother to take a shower because I really felt lucky during those times. lol. Yeah, exciting and fun going in because at the back of your mind you think you are invincible but sadly in didn't last because on the 4th day I lost everything.  Grin

How is one supposed to cash out? Cannot make legally cash out...  Undecided help

Sometimes I really wonder if crypto really make people lost their reading comprehension. They can't even grasp everything  that they have read in the internet. There's no ban in Europe, where did you read that non-sense? Give us the link please. And if it really ban in Germany, then I"m not surprise because they, together with France are really pushing it, even proposing to the G20 summit. But if you are trolling, I'm sorry but members here are already used to it and wouldn't just believed anything specially coming from a newbie like you.
10435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling or buying? It's your very own decision! on: February 10, 2018, 02:18:27 PM
I suggest you to know the market's tendency first!

Of course you should study and do your homework and see it goes. Although there's a lot of irrational buyers last December who got burned during the crash, sold and lost money. But I guess, there's nothing to worry if you are a long term holder. The market is very volatile to begin with, if you are not patience to wait for it to recover then I guess you should stay away. This is not a quick rich scheme so you should be very careful in investing because everyday the price changes and it depends on you if you see the market not going in your favor. Are you going to hold or sell?
10436  Economy / Economics / Re: bank on australian allow customers to purchase cryptocurrencies on: February 10, 2018, 01:34:33 PM
news from this country is not very influential, China is still a legit news to make bitcoin bubble. during the Chinese New Year to finished bitcoin doesn't being a bubble

Well Australia news might not bring huge impact but still we should considering this as a very welcoming. Although there's no surprise here because they have already embrace bitcoin and crypto, this is a strong message to those nations who are banning cryptos. We should really forgot China news though, I'm not expecting any positive news that will come from them, if anything we should expect is FUD and skepticism because they really hate bitcoin and crypto that they decided to ban ICO and close their local exchanges.

Another lessons here. (not again). Everyone should be really cautious in putting almost all their funds on a trading platform because hackers are really targeting them because of the money. Though I don' think that this will greatly impact the market because its not one of the big exchanges and what was lost is not bitcoin, it's still painful to hear people losses big amount of money because of those hackers who is nothing different from criminals now.
10438  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is recovering? on: February 10, 2018, 12:40:59 PM
As reflected on bitcoin's graph today, it is clearly noticeable that bitcoin is pushing up its market capitalization and price. Not only bitcoin is recovering but alternate cryptocurrencies too. How i wish i have invested in bitcoin when its market price goes down.

It's safe to say that Bitcoin is trying to recover. But, we are still not out of the woods unless the $10k resistance has been pierced with good volume.

We are having a hard time piercing the $9K barrier as of the moment, I'm expecting by this time it should have been broken unfortunately, its not the case. It looks like its another psychological barrier, I don't know why investors are still skeptics, we have recovered already, we just need another push. If tomorrow the $9K is not broken, then I think its gonna be a tug of war once again, the bears is still at it again. I hope though that we can make the final push to $9 and with huge volume as you have said to be really safe and out of the woods.
10439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cup with handle on: February 10, 2018, 09:10:15 AM
I don't think that we should sell when it hit $10K levels in the next coming days. Why would you do that? Stock market crash doesn't necessarily means that traditional investors will go to crypto. They will rather wait it out. I'm not sure though if this is bitcoin. But one thing I'm aware of, bitcoin is already regaining and I have to agree with you that it can hit $10K in the next coming days or weeks.
10440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Banks Now Allowing People to Buy Bitcoin on: February 09, 2018, 11:53:07 PM
As the title said,
Some of the important Banks in Australia is allowing their customer to purchase cryptocurrency using their Bank account. Because of this, bitcoin can now be easily purchased in Australia.
Reference Link: https://usethebitcoin.com/australian-bank-allow-customers-purchase-cryptocurrencies/

I think this will be the start, hopefully, other banks around the world will follow so we will have a convenient way to buy and selling cryptocurrency to fiat.

It didn't surprised me at all because Australia is the second country (July 2017) to legalized crypto after Japan. So it really make sense to them to be very lax, including banks and taxes. As for other banks, following their footsteps, I have doubt because we all know that bankers see crypto's as a threat. What we wanted to see more is nations following the footstep of Japan and Australia in embracing bitcoin.
