1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of Monero? on: December 07, 2020, 08:15:14 AM
I think it's only a form of advertisement, and as we know the crypto industry easily reacts to negative news and misinformation, and I don't believe this crap until it wasn't proven true, CipherTrace needs to prove it. in well-documented position and not just on a piece of paper. But if it's true I believe that Monero will find any solution regarding this issue but for now that it has no concrete evidence let's wait and see.
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Rallied by 91% In The Last Month on: December 07, 2020, 07:57:07 AM
XRP rallied by 91% in the last month, what could be the reason behind it? There is also news speculating that Ripple (XRP) will reach 10 to 20 dollars at the early stage of 2021. Would it come true? What are your thoughts on these guys?

Sharing this article: https://crypto.co/.../why-xrp-rallied-by-91-in-the-last.../

I'm an XRP user in most of my transactions because it's fast and one of the cheapest TX fees, But related to that price speculation, Honestly speaking I don't believe that crap! because that was too good to be true, XRP has a huge coin supply in circulation that's why it's not that easy to pump XRP price to that level without any appropriate reasons that's why it is not possible even in the near future.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of ETH2.0 Scammers on: December 06, 2020, 03:25:10 PM
I know i was bit late to report the situation but it better than never.

On December, 1st 2020 after Vitalik congratulation message on twitter for the launch of ETH2.0, a group of scammer seized the opportunity to scam ETH enthusiast out of their holding by providing a Ethereum foundation airdrop giveaway as showing in the below image which indicates that the message was not posted by Vitalik himself but I'm still surprised how the scammer manage to his account alive for years.

Newbies beware and understand that everything thats seem too good to be the true in crypto investment is a scam.

This is another Lapse from the Twitter side, Thanks Mate for this warning, It seems that Twitter is getting more vulnerable to this abuse, if you do not examine the account carefully at first look it has the badge so meaning it is a verified account twitter should focus on this problem, I hope that no one was fall with this scamming attempt.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **family survives 40 countries living only on Bitcoins** on: December 06, 2020, 03:13:15 PM
So this popped up in the news today :
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/05/bitcoin-price-buying-bitcoin-how-this-family-buys-sells-everything-in-cryptocurrency.html

This is a story of a family which survived 40 countries depending just on Bitcoins. They did that for 4 years and invested in Bitcoins in 2017 when the price was 900$. The family apparently does not pay in anything other than bitcoins , so they are travelling the world and asking the people and the government if the transaction can be made in Bitcoins. How cool is that ??

Quote
But they say there are two places on the planet where you can pay for literally everything using bitcoin: the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana and a small Italian village called Rovereto

!!!!!

Quote
In Ljubljana, they paid for things like car repairs and cinema tickets in the cryptocurrency, and in Rovereto, it is possible to buy a motorbike, pay your taxes, or get a haircut using bitcoin

He didn't even cut his hair until and unless he did find a person who did accept Bitcoins.

Quote
"I always said to people, 'I'm never going to cut my hair till I find a hairdresser that accepts bitcoin,'" said Taihuttu. "And then I walked into this hairdresser, and he was accepting bitcoin. I was like, 'Oh, no, I need to cut my hair!'"

For Didi, the fact that both a very small traditional village and the capital of a country had whole-heartedly embraced bitcoin was a sign to him that it was possible anywhere.

"In my opinion, any country, any city in the world, can have the same adoption of bitcoin as a store of value, or payment, or peer-to-peer cash," explained Taihuttu. "This is what keeps driving us to explore the world."

Okay I believe it's very cool ! What are your thoughts on this ? This family is not only exploring their way around the world but they are also educating people about Bitcoins.

Is that really possible? I mean 40 countries, meaning they cross the borders and using Bitcoin for their financial needs thats awesome. by the way, where it exactly happen in Europe maybe, I believe the people and governments of Europe are more advanced and open to new possibilities compared to the rest of the world.
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2020, 12:42:32 PM
Our country government don't accept bitcoin. If anyone use bitcoin and know it state police Caught him and give punishment. But i like bitcoin. How can i use it? And I want to explain that bitcoin is not bad for me. How can i successfully explain?

Thats very unfortunate that your own government thinking is backward, I believe cryptocurrency is the future so why they dont just support it. By the way, you didn't mention your country of origin if your country is sophisticated then it will be more dangerous for you to get caught if you are continued using Bitcoin, But if you are from Southeast Asia many member states that have a friendlier approach to the crypto industry Singapore, The Philippines I think Thailand and Indonesia are good too so hold on and believe that someday they will be no more restriction of using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
1066  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another malicious browser extension is advertised on Google search on: December 05, 2020, 12:22:38 PM
In crypto, phishing attempts are around us every day and Google has very bad reputation on the way they sell their advertisements and search engine for projects. They don't do investigation or do it very bad and no matter how they do that, at the ends they allow many scam projects, phishing sites appear on the top of Google search results.

The latest attack on Metamask with malicious phishing web browser is one of that. This one can cause serious losses for crypto investors especially in the days people are still being crazy with DeFi tokens. Metamask is one of most common gates to join DeFi space.

When I am writing this topic, Google still has not shut it down. You can check and see that malicious extension at the top of search result at the Ad area.

The official site of MetaMask is: https://metamask.io/

UPDATE: 12/03/2020
The MetaMask phisher continues to buy sponsored ads on MetaMask search results. The company urges users to “use direct links, and if you need to use search, watch out for sponsored links!”

Sponsored ads for the fraudulent maskmeha[.]io seem to have been displaced by meramaks[.]io

Within the past 24 hours, CipherTrace has noticed an uptick of alerts and comments within the online cryptocurrency community of users’ funds being stolen via a Chrome browser extension phishing attack posing as cryptocurrency wallet and browser extension MetaMask. The fraudulent browser extension is directing information to maskmeha[.]io, which then subsequently redirects to https[:]//installmetamask[.]com.

Is Google check the content of its advertisers? If yes then why this kind of problem still persists? All users much take extra precaution when visiting google, Because they don't check its advertisers if it's legit or scam that's why I never use google for a long time already, Because of these problems it's all about money and greed and they don't care its users, for the best interest use Brave instead it's safer compared to Google.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 05, 2020, 11:52:36 AM
On December 1, the Libra Association announced a change in its name. The campaign now has the name " Diem». https://twitter.com/DiemAssociation/status/1333790806314926089 Also when going to the address https://libra.org, redirects to a new address https://www.diem.com The campaign logo remains the same.
https://www.diem.com/en-us/updates/diem-association/

I understand this was done so that the negative that preceded the launch of Libra was not transferred to the project that is being launched in January. How do you explain the reason for this rebranding?

IMHO, I believe it was a strategy to make it more presentable and if possible to disconnect it from the previous bad publicity about the project. But I think the more interesting question why Diem? and what does it mean? and what does Diem stand for? By the way, I'm not in a hurry mode and January 2021 is on the doorstep so I think it's better to wait for that launch date to know more about Diem.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk on: December 04, 2020, 02:06:59 PM
Thats cool and advantageous to the high ranking Bitcointalk users they can now teleport their rank in the Altcoinstalk forum. By the way in the case of bounty campaigns I think the limit was still applied on both forums BTT and ATT like what Bounty Detective was doing that they allocate an equal slot for both forums. so that means if you are already joined in BitcoinTalk let's say in a Signature campaign you cant join in AltcoinsTalk Campaign using the same teleported account so it's an equal opportunity since both forums are after the development of cryptocurrencies as a whole.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin "global asset" prediction from Black Rock on: December 04, 2020, 01:30:58 PM
I believe the next wave of the bull run is about to erupt as CEO of the biggest asset management firm BlackRock Larry Fink said bitcoin can evolve into global asset. There are more big guys from Wall street getting involved in bitcoin too. We won't possibly see any serious corrective retracement anymore.

https://www.coindesk.com/blackrock-ceo-bitcoin-global-asset

I believe that's true and it wasn't an speculation anymore, Because many institutional investor are already joining the cryptocurrency bandwagon, it means that there are new capital was entering into the market that's why as we see the market trend today it has a huge difference compared to the 2017-2018 market trend respectively.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Data safety on Centralized exchanges on: December 03, 2020, 03:10:34 PM
You still think that your data is save on Centralized exchanges? Think again, today australian crypto exchange accidentally expose users information, over 270,000 customers data is exposed, what kinda mistake is this anyways?

https://ia.acs.org.au/article/2020/australian-crypto-exchange-exposes-emails.html

That was a very unfortunate incident but we can't do anything about it. Because in the very beginning after we sign up and start using any exchange platform we must consider the possible risk that we might encounter along the way. like in the case of a hacking incident our funds and identity might be exposed like what happened in that so-called Australian crypto exchange, we have no choice but to accept it and hope that those data will not be used in any illegal activities. Because in the first place we are not forced to use that exchange and do the KYC in that matter it is our personal decision so let's face it.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scams vs DeFi scams on: December 02, 2020, 01:51:44 PM
why are DeFi platforms more easier to hack? Or are developers the real culprits hacking their platforms themselves? DeFi failure will forever be a stain in crypto history
[/quote]

I think you have a point, and it might have been an inside job. By the way, I have no issues with the Defi projects as long as they are transparent and legitimate. for example, like DIAdata the team is known to the public and they are not hiding, with that move, the trust was restored and the project received huge support from investors. But till today the Defi space was packed with projects that have an anonymous team, which is likely become an exit scam. so be careful and always observe due diligence when dealing with such kinds of projects.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lykke/XRP airdrop information on: December 02, 2020, 01:18:04 PM
Important Information

For all XRP investors or holders who planned to hold XRP and get Spark (FLR) tokens in return on 12/12/2020 please kindly move your XRP to other platforms from Lykke to other that officially support the airdrop, LYKKE wallet/platform won't support the airdrop, this is a official information from LYKKE team, thanks

Thanks for this important information mate, But it is better if you include the link about the official announcement from the LYKKE Wallet team so that we can get some reference for that announcement, By the way, many exchanges are already showing support for that said event and Binance is one of them thats why it's better to move our XRP now out from those wallets that dont support the fork and temporarily deposit it to appropriate exchange/wallet that supported the said fork.
1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hitting ATH right now? on: December 01, 2020, 01:47:37 PM
I've just seen it hit $19841 on coindesk before dropping a little.

https://fv2-2.failiem.lv/thumb_show.php?i=3w9kwysxj&view

https://www.coindesk.com/price/bitcoin

Yes, it is, I'm using Binance at the moment and there ATH record was already broken, But I believe each exchange has its own ATH record, so I think the most interesting part is when the Bitcoin price is breached the $20K price level, And I believe that it will happen within the 1st week of December 2020! so we better watch out.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty rewards on: November 30, 2020, 10:24:59 AM
Since bounty hunters are being blamed for the projects price drop,
Why not ask the projects owner to pay the bounty reward in BTC or whatever the investors used to invest in their project?
They've promised their hunters a reward that has a total of $ value on their token/coin but they couldn't deliver it.
Wouldn't this kind of payment would solve both the investors and hunters problem?
The project price wouldn't dump after the reward has been given to the hunters and the hunters would get what has been promised to them.
I think the BM's could try and convince their clients for this kind of payment if they give it a try.

It's a good idea to allocate and pay the bounty participants in all kinds of liquid cryptocurrencies instead of the project native token.
But most of the project team/owners are refused to do it, due to unknown reasons. Instead, they prepared to pay with their own project token, And after it was listed the price will dump and started to blame the bounty participant it is very common in most bounties. Thats why in order to avoid this blame game it's better to pay the bounty participants in liquid cryptocurrencies.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is etherflyer legit on: November 30, 2020, 09:49:57 AM
was wondering if this website was legit

also i have some atri coins but there not listed in my MEW wallet why is this has been 4 hours since the transaction they show up on the etheruem explorer but not in the wallet any suggestions?

I'm also using Etherflyer a couple of times, And I think it's a legit Dex because I never encountered any problem when I start using it. my deposit and withdrawals are all done. But the problem of Etherflyer is the "withdrawal fees" because it is higher compared to the most DEx and CEx crypto exchanges, I think that's only the issue about Etherflyer and it was not involved in any scams and other fraudulent acts.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) is again in the news. Will it break its ATH before the Year Ends on: November 29, 2020, 02:44:14 PM
Ripple Rank # 3 crypto currency on coin market cap has risen more than 129% during the past 15 days which is very impressive performance by all standards. The primary  reason of the surge in price its new Project named "Flare Network" . All XRP holders will receive an equal amount of Flare tokens after 12th December, 2020. What remains to be seen is that current Bullish season and news of Flare Network token can boost the price of XRP to new highs.

IMHO, I think it's possible, and maybe that Flare airdrop information has brought a lot of attention to induce the XRP demand.
But on the other side, we should consider that we are also in the middle of the "Bullish Market" trend. In which are most of the top-ranking altcoins are gaining price momentum. so I think that was also one of the reasons why the XRP price is rising at this level.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price pump influence bitcoin price Negatively ? on: November 28, 2020, 10:12:54 AM
I have the impression that every-time bitcoin starts climbing steadily, the XRP pumps like crazy 100%+ within 24h, causing doubt in the entire market!
Are altcoins like stellar and xrp harming the bitcoin price by their manipulated pumps ?

I dont think so! Bitcoin dominance in the Market Cap is more than half, thats why it is not possible for any "Altcoin pumps" to harm the price of Bitcoin.
But it most likely happens, that if the Bitcoin price will go down, it has a huge effect on the price of most altcoins in the market. Because I believe that altcoins value is partially tied up with Bitcoin price and market movement.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any holiday airdrop? on: November 27, 2020, 09:24:30 AM
Is there any airdrop before this year ends?

Good way to giveaway some coins to make the everyone happy! lol

Holiday Airdrop? thats cool. But let's accept the reality it's not easy to give free money nowadays because we are in the middle of a pandemic.
By the way, there are some platforms that always promoting some Airdrop and Bounties but you should put in mind that there is no guarantee in that said method and consider it as a gamble because you will invest your time and effort to complete those task.

Another option is joining some giveaways like the CoinMarketCap Bitcoin price prediction contest who knows you will be lucky enough to win that $2K worth of BTC if you exactly guess what time and day Bitcoin will hit the $20K price level.

1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: have you Invested DEFI liquidity pools ?? on: November 27, 2020, 09:06:22 AM
As my hobby , nowadays im studying about new defi projects. So i found several NEW defi projects and all of them are used defi liquidity pools to
provide various financial services in real world . I think thats fine , And then i studied about their team members and future plans and their whitepaper and their telegram group activity etc...

1) And One of the prject have mensioned that we can get an instant loan by tokanizing and collateralizing our assets ... Is that TRUE?

2)And my 2nd question --> How much in percentage do you trust about the projects having good telegram group activity and the team ?

3)And have you get an Instant loan before by tokenizing your asset ?

4)and my last question --> Have you invested before defi projects like this ----> https://thetoken.network/   [This is only a one project , other projects are also same like this as i mensioned before]

I prepared to answer all the questions simultaneously. YES! I was already invested in Defi liquidity pools (Yield Farming) but it's very unfortunate that my first investment is not growing because the liquidity pools of that project are not doing well.

Out of frustration, I was pulling out my investment in 2 pools (ETH and USDT) with that project pools.
And put it to other Defi projects, and luckily in the second time, it's working and gaining some profit.

But honestly, speaking I'm not yet tried to get a loan and set my asset as collateral but maybe I will try it also. if time will come.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price Hit $0.9, suddenly goes down in second on: November 26, 2020, 08:32:31 AM
It's my first time to Buy XRP last October 31 at a price of
0.22$. I just tried out of curiosity since there is only few kind of coins in my local wallet (BTC, ETH, BCH and XRP). I notice that in just few days the price grow without any idea that there is going to have fork on December 12.
XRP Fork news

With that in mind, I decided to hold the coin up to now and suddenly (Luckily) the price pump. Im not actually a fan of altcoins, so when I saw the price have already matured, I instantly convert my XRP. Without knowing, I saw a news why there is a sudden crash on the price. Coinbase goes down and in seconds, the price went down.

I really get a good amount of profit. Do you also get the chance to convert?

It's good for you Mate! you are lucky that you bought it for $0.22 cents per XRP. It was already tripled in terms of value and the profit is already good too. But today the XRP price was dipped and moving around $0.56- $0.59 cents per XRP. if the true reason was the "Coinbase goes down? I was confused what was the connection? I have also some XRP in my portfolio and I won't sell it until it did not reach $1 per XRP price level. I'm using XRP in most of my transaction that's why it's a big deal to me, I'm only hoping that the Market will not lose its steam to drive the cryptocurrency prices further.
