1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: September 25, 2016, 01:02:37 AM
I thought about investing in Lisk but passed, got like 1300 via bounties and dumped inmediately, it was more than half btc! I'm also watching, the price seems to have found its bottom at 40k, the problem is that there's not much to show for and I don't really think their team and devs are on par with Ethereum. However, I'm sure it will pump eventually, at the very least x2, x3 from here...

I got some Antshares for the exact same reasons you mentioned. I think it does have some long term potential too since anything attached to China could be huge for obvious reasons. This and their team and connections is what sold me. Don't really know much else.

What do you think about Iconomi, I personally feel they should take a look at Lykke if they really want to make some good investments for their upcoming funds  Wink
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: September 24, 2016, 10:44:02 PM
Can you tell me where we can register to their slack ?!

It's not really open for the wider public yet. I got an invite. But they opened a telegram-slack and as far as I know they think about doing an open channel in slack.

(...)

We are working on our communications platform.

We've started Lykke telegram chat. Everyone is invited to participate. https://t.co/TmjMYnQD7T

Good insights, honestly the lack of attention and interest on this ICO is incredible compared to Iconomi and even Antshares lately (not to mention Lisk, Waves, etc before).

I'm also a recent FCT guy and bought my share at 200k and below before it pumped for good. To me it's still the most undervalued real working project in crypto. I still think XRP will have a market, especially a forex one, they have their license. I don't buy into the whole banks will buy it up until $10 each but there's a reason for it to exist. I think you can say the same thing about XRP and Ripple and Bitcoin and Blockchain. Ripple is much more suitable for a lot of stuff than the blockchain, it really is and it's an amazing technology, you should read more about it. The problem is that it clashes directly with the philosophy behind most cryptocurrencies. This makes XRP some sort of hedge in my crypto portfolio.

I already checked some videos from Lykke but I'll check more. Like I said, having a working product already (and it works flawlessly may I add) is something not to take lightly.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: September 24, 2016, 07:36:07 PM

And in a german article it was stated that XRP would be more like a Spam-protection which shouldn't even be necessary in a closed system like Ripple. I don't have deep knowledge about it, but I've read some discussions and that many XRP-Investors are very disappointed.

And after learning more about Lykke I'm glad to see that this won't be like Ripple and that the value of LKK is deeply connected to the value of the company since it's about shares.

Actually Ripple CEO has recently remarked the importance of XRP in Ripple and I'm sure it will be implemented by most institutions since it saves a lot of money for them and it's deeply tied to how it's supposed to work. Now being a digital asset it will have value, market makers will do they thing (they are already doing that, Ripple has increased in price a lot in recent weeks).

Also, a tiny amount of XRP is burnt after each transaction so it's deflationary. I think unless Ripple completely abandons the idea of XRP (they are the major holders so it's naive to think that) they price will continue to rise on adoption news and deals just as any other project.

I agree that Lykke offers similar benefits but with the addition of making LKK coins. Either way, if you think about it, 10k LKK coins would be 100 shares in a company that it's on its beginnings. Without proper earnings yet it's hard to give a valuation on what would be the proper value for a single share, we know there are more than 100m shares basically and more than 1 LKK billion coins.

Lykke already has a working project and it's cheap enough to invest in my opinion, it's much less risky than other ICOs. However, I don't see x4-5 ICO prices any time soon since there's zero buzz about it and one can say the current price is fair if you put it all together without doing any predictions on potential. Many thinking this is just another ICO with some russian guys in a garage playing crypto with nothing to show for may think it's overvalued, 1000-2000k sats would be more adequate and I could agree with that if this was the case.

But I think we can all agree Lykke is already way ahead...
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO OPEN on: September 23, 2016, 05:50:48 PM
I wouldn't be surprised to see ICN trading for .01btc within the first few days of trading on legit exchanges. (non IOU)

That is a huge call, what do you think will drive the price that high, everything we are banking on now is just the potential.
After investing lots of my savings, I only wish ICONOMI become success but I request everyone not to dump your tokens soon after ICO.Hold them till next year to reap the benefits

I don't know when people will learn, alot of your savings in a project. Please let us remember that this Crypto boom is going to burst I don't know when but it is a natural order , don't invest what you can't afford to lose

The boom has barely begun

Agree, either it completely fails and blockchain/decentralized projects never materialize or this "bubble" just begun. Most just focus on the price per unit, they think Ethereum or even Bitcoin are expensive at $13 and $600 per "asset" they don't usually understand marketcap and mainstream adoption. 10 billion and 1 billion for these alone are a complete joke, it's not even close to the value of a small company let alone a market that can disrupt the whole world as we know it, from health, financial to logistics, commerce, online business, you name it. We are talking about trillions of dollars if only one of those sectors gets really serious adoption...so just do the math.

Of course it's risky, there's the chance this will never pan out as I said, or blockchains get hacked or are proven to be insecure (this never stopped other platforms though...). However one can clearly see people are beginning to understand that we don't really need many institutions controlling our money and work. Similar to what happened to music, movies, taxis and apartments with Spotify, Netflix, Uber and Airbnb. This will take it much further.

Do we really need huge companies behind basically person to person services? We have the infrastructure now to not need that kind of centralization of power and wealth that are basically providing the platform, not the actual content, work and money on it.

They are the leeches, not us.

1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 22, 2016, 05:55:13 PM
If you followed my posts this must be the most perfect trading move I've made in my life haha, I sounded like a pro calling all moves. I did however expected ETH to pass $15 at least, even reaching $20, it didn't happen so I got out at the very top (that's a new one).

Anyway, I'm trying to buy some ETH for the long term but I'm not really sure where the price is headed now. What do you guys consider a fair price or entry point without getting greedy? Please don't say $5-7 bucks or sub 0.01, it that happens I'm all in (hopefully some civil lawsuits news from the DAO hack...)
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: September 21, 2016, 06:35:03 PM
I wanted to ask what happens if not all the coins are sold during the ICO?

I think they will all be sold out by the end since there were no early bonuses and I'm sure many will just wait until the final week to get in but I would like to know what happens if 5-10m LKK coins remain unsold.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 21, 2016, 05:29:08 PM
Well that was a good run for me, got out at 238 because there was a lot of resistance at 240 and had to take profits there and not be greedy, devcon was almost over and I'm so glad I did. Maybe there are still some big news coming (like chinese exchanges) but I'm not taking that risk.

I don't think it will dump a lot but it may go to low 200s eventually.

1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshare ICO Statistics & Lottery Draw Announced! on: September 20, 2016, 11:03:20 PM
arg, why did i scroll the last 5 pages today ? :/

im leaving this thread as well, nothing here but bounty this bounty that  :/

ill come back after mainnet see if anything ACTUALLY happening ;p

The problem is that the bounty counting system was completely chaotic, many of us had to correct and verify our bounties plenty of times. Many others are still trying to get theirs counted. I'm an ICO investor and I'm intend to support Antshares long term so I'm not trying to dump or just here whining for 100 antshares.

However, the team needs to reorganize the system and take it seriously (and kick out A LOT of spammers too, in all bounty categories) in order to protect the real promoters and investors. Spammers will dump their ans the minute they get them.

There's nothing else to talk about, they are working on the platform so there are not a lot of news...
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshare ICO Statistics & Lottery Draw Announced! on: September 20, 2016, 08:20:33 PM
I filled the survey and now my bounty amount seems to be alright, you can all easily check them at your ICO address account query.

However I still don't see my translation bounty. I already sent this in my original email with all other information. What should I do?

You could resend the email or send a pm here, but I don't see the line 'translation bounty' on the personal ICO page or spreadsheet.
Perhaps it is done separately and they will contact you later on. It has your username in the OP for Spanish translation so I guess it will be fine.

Yes already sent a PM back then but this bounty system proved to be very chaotic to manage from both sides (I don't want to sound harsh but take a look at how Iconomi handled it). So not sure how it will all work out.

I trust the dev team although the way this was set up didn't look very good, they must be very busy and loaded with stuff on all fronts.

Just found this browsing the Pluton ICO page. Can a non-newbie member quote me in order to show the imgs ?

Does this remind you of something ? Anyone ?

@ICONOMI : Is it normal you guys used the exact same graph, WITH the exact same amounts as Plutus ..?

The graphs images are basically infographics templates and they are not actually the same, you'll see them at every project manager laptop. The numbers are the same though and it could raise some questions but as far as I understand those are very common percentages, maybe we could find some of examples.

Hi guys,

I have had 3k STRAT in my wallet and it says "staking" for the past 2 weeks and have not had anything. It has said "Estimated time to earn reward 3 days" since a Sept 4

Do I need to modify my wallet to allow staking to happen even though the interface currently says staking?

No, 3000STRAT will give you not enough staked coins. It is all about luck

Something is wrong and he should definitely get some rewards, like at least 3 or 4 Strats during that period.

Zero exposure, pegged ICO, already overvalued = raising 300k usd in a few days ?
i smell self bought ico scam.

Overvalued at 8k...go buy some more Waves.

And please do some research first before throwing scam accusations.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 17, 2016, 06:50:53 PM
I've been saying the pump was coming since it was around 180 and you still have time since devcon 2 news hasn't started but of course the risk is higher now (either way, anything below $13 dollars considering what's coming is cheap, you'll see it touching $14 in no time in my opinion).

I do agree with you that the price is already priced in, however that doesn't count the hype that will start building, every day there will be big news about Ethereum, and that's all you need in crypto. You have to understand that for many of us who are in the game a lot of them won't be that impressive, but other traders and newcomers are naive and will buy into the pump and start FOMOing, saying things like how Ethereum has so much better tech than BTC and it's way undervalued.

The same happened with Monero, I for one don't believe for a second Monero (or Dash for that matter) has a place or a market but people do, so they buy it, now the bubble is over and there's a lot of bagholders, rinse and repeat.

Profits will go to ETH (and ETC if you prefer that better). I can also see Factom pumping if they release M2 but that's been in the works forever so there's no ETA...
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 17, 2016, 06:21:31 AM
Told you so  Grin  Cool

What do you think would be a good selling point after this upward movement?  Grin

I think it can go as high as $20-30 or BTC equivalent, the devcon 2 hype will be huge, VB pitching Casper and white paper on scaling, okcoin exchange, raiden network and many more stuff.

If you are not that optimistic then to me $15 is a given and if you want to take profits there I won't blame you  Wink
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: September 16, 2016, 07:17:27 PM
Iman Shumpert gets a Dui and I was reading and they may trade him. He
is pretty solid on defense and would be a big loss.

I'm not sure if the Cavs would trade Iman. JR is in talks with some teams so losing both could be huge hit since there are not easy to replace (Andersen and Dunleavy won't cut it I'm afraid haha).

On the other hand, Shumpert was atrocious in the finals, even on defense...so maybe there's a chance they will trade him after all...
