2041  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: February 01, 2016, 07:32:57 PM
I am not buying Bitcoins now. It seems that price will goes down and better to wait little bit.
Hope for price increase, time will tell.

I'm not planning to buy anytime soon but I don't think it will fall below $350, if it does then below $300 will be a possibility and if we are truly gonna go down that road then I think Bitcoin existence will be truly tested finally. It has been said Bitcoin has been killed many times, but I'm getting the feeling that this time it really seems to have a terminal disease, hope I'm wrong.
2042  Economy / Gambling / Re: Live betting on sports on: February 01, 2016, 06:14:12 AM
I definitely prefer pre event betting since I usually bet on games I'll be watching and I want to watch them at peace and not thinking about anything else. However I must admit that in some of these cases the thought of upping the bet or bet something different, like spread cross my mind multiple times but I never bother to actually go and place the bet. I can see how many could prefer the other way around, following a game and get "inspired" by it hehe.
2043  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: February 01, 2016, 06:05:19 AM
I believe it will not happen, I may still believe if the price dropped to $ 350 but it takes a long time to get to the price of $ 250

Yes it won't happen overnight but it's definitely a possibility the way things are going lately. I think Bitcoin is really at the ropes right now, it really needs a miracle or it won't survive in the upcoming years. People are realizing that there's really no use for Bitcoin. To put it better, there's no need for it and people just don't want or need to use it other than to experiment with or as a speculation commodity.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 01, 2016, 03:33:34 AM
My picks for the day, I'm 6-0 in my last predictions but I don't guarantee any profits hehe:

Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat - Miami Heat @ 2.1
Miami is playing well and Atlanta not so well having a lot of trouble in away games. This will be a close game of course but Miami has really nice odds so it's definitely worth the risk.

Golden State Warriors @ New York Knicks - 1st Half - Total Points Over 108.5pts @ 1.47
This is a different and unique pick from what I'm used but I think that the Warriors (and specially Curry and Thompson) will come out strong and get inspired by the MSG. I have faith the first half will have plenty of points but not sure on the second one since the game could be over already so for me this is the safest choice.

Well I got the most difficult one right, Miami beat Atlanta fair & square like I said but the first half from GSW @ NYK was as cold as the weather there hehe. 7-1 in my recent ones so I hope to extend my nice streak during the week.
2045  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: February 01, 2016, 03:25:28 AM
With so much negativity in the crypto atmosphere it might. Bit I'm just going to keep on accumulating no matter the price.

Yes I'm not planning on selling anytime soon of course because many of us know it's worthless, what are we here for then? However I did started to diversify my portfolio a little bit and got a little more interested in altcoins than I was before. There are a couple of great projects that need attention in case Bitcoin can't recover. I really feel its image has been tainted with so much negative exposure. Plus it's already a little obsolete even if it works fairly well. I'm really not sure where we will be in 5 years, right now I bet some kind of new technology gets in the way and Bitcoin becomes the first step in the revolution but nothing more than that...
2046  Economy / Speculation / Re: All alts going crazy, people are fed up!!!! on: February 01, 2016, 03:19:03 AM
I can agree about Etherum but Riple is banks coin premined and printed,Digibyte is small coin.Future is EmerCoin.Dogecoin  is always doge. Will be pumped dumped many times and will stay for long

Digibyte may be a small coin but it has it aims to be used by actual people, in gaming, online stores, tips, real life applications, it's trying to actually get people to use it and be much more user friendly than Bitcoin. I agree with Ripple, it is something I'm not interested in but I can see how it can be appealing in the corporate and banking world. Doge is just p&d as you said.

EmerCoin is a another great project indeed. I feel that Bitcoin couldn't make the jump to real world use, it is mostly all speculation and nerd stuff, even if it was in a small niche, it couldn't become the standard for anything. For example gambling, Bitcoin should be the best option for online gambling since users won't need to enter credit card or bank information, easy to withdraw, etc. But even if it has some great options it's just didn't catch on. There are many other examples and uses like this that could be cited.
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: February 01, 2016, 01:49:43 AM
Bitcoin is fading into oblivion if you ask me right now, I don't think it will be relevant in a couple more years the way things are going, its image is too tainted. Hopefully it can survive or find a way to create actual demand for its product. Replacing Western Union would be ideal, but it doesn't work no matter how much you people write in this thread. It isn't profitable, far from it, if it was close to being profitable Western Union would be out of business already.

There are plenty of projects that are taking the spotlight from Bitcoin right now. Ethereum, Maid, Ripple and others just promise the future and very exciting things while Bitcoin is already the past sadly, it just can't shake its tainted image and it never created actual demand.

Ripple has lost its charm long back and the craze it had before its launch doesn't exist today as far as I can see. Also, the other coins are fading and only the owners are trying to make the price increase. I don't think it's wise to invest in any altcoin till it remains stable for a year or more.

Still, those projects (I don't hold Ripple) have much more to offer than Bitcoin. I'm not saying it's dead, Bitcoin at the very least will be used as a gateway and it has proven its worth over the years, it may have flaws but it has been fully tested. Anyway, Ethereum and Maid have a lot of things going for them and they are about to release betas and upgrades of their respective platforms. Another great stable project is Digibyte which is basically Bitcoin done a whole lot better without the issues and annoyances, plus smart contracts.

I'm not saying one of them will take Bitcoin place, I'm saying Bitcoin is losing terrain and new projects are coming in. Sadly Bitcoin image has been tainted let's be honest, Hearn had some truth behind his words, that's why it had so much impact. Bitcoin hasn't created any actual demand from the mainstream and its technology while completely unique and innovative is already old. Bitcoin was the first step but it's just losing steam unless it can generate more interest from common users or give solutions to actual problems, that's just the way it is.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Site Calculator on: January 31, 2016, 06:53:57 PM
I was looking for a site or service like this for a long time, but seems to be down right now. Do you guys know any alternative that I can check out? I'll keep an eye on this, hope it's a temporary issue.
2051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like bitcoin on: January 31, 2016, 06:51:31 PM
I used to think like you but recently I've became disappointed with the state of Bitcoin affairs and most than anything, its public image. I feel it's too tainted now and it's almost like a joke, I don't think it will stay relevant in the next 5-10 years, something better will be created and Bitcoin will be the first stone. I don't think it will lose too much value though, I think people will start to try other stuff, just check how much volume altcoins are getting in 2016 so far.
2052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: January 31, 2016, 06:48:50 PM
Well my signature campaign is as great as the casino it advertise really. I get around BTC0.05 per week and I'm only a Full Member. That's BTC0.2 a month...if you are Senior, Hero or Legendary you will have BTC1 in just a little more than a month...

Signatures campaigns are more likely the safest way to earn besides actually working for it (I already spend a lot of time in the forum so for me the income is a plus).
2053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 31, 2016, 06:46:06 PM
The main problem is that western union is very expensive and old fashioned.
Bitcoin is much cheaper and faster. It's innovation makes it the winner.
Yes Western Union becomes old method and it has many limitations like very high fees. Bitcoin are always better than Western Union because there are very less fees and it is also faster than Western Union. Bitcoin is modern currency and in very short period of time I think it already beats Western Union.

The vast majority of people can't even use Netflix properly and many here expect to adopt Bitcoin when they actually need fiat money to pay for bills and food. What they need is cash in a window, Western Union provides that and it's not that expensive (I think it's 5$ for $100-200 for example). Calculate that using Bitcoin and you will see how much money you lose providing the same service, setting up an office, exchange fiat twice, etc.

2055  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: January 31, 2016, 07:14:54 AM
yes, of course i believe in bitcoin, one day it will replace all the currencies in the world in my opinion

All of us believe in bitcoin that is why we are here.. hehe..  Smiley

I think it can't replace currency in this coming years, maybe years after our generation, probably..  Wink
I doubt we will have bitcoin in 20 years. Something similar in nature, yes, bitcoin not really. Bitcoin is too easy to manipulate and I mean not the price - but whole viewpoint of people on Bitcoin.
We have one stupid information about 'terrorists' using bitcoin and whole society is freaked out (it doesn't matter that terrorists are using dollars or euro, ridiculous amount of it, actually, everyday).

I sort of agree and understand what you are saying and it's actually one of the reasons I'm becoming more disappointed with Bitcoin. It just can't shake off that bad image,  it's tainted and people just laugh about it. There's also a lot of great projects that are taking the spotlight from Bitcoin. I think the price will eventually rise but I don't think it will be too relevant in 5 years, just a gateway for exchanging crypto coins, gambling and things like that. It just didn't manage to actually create demand other than for speculation.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 31, 2016, 07:10:24 AM
Here are my picks for tonight, I got all 3 of them yesterday, not bragging but you know hehe:

Golden State Warriors @ Philadelphia 76ers - Under 217.5pts @ 1.97
I like these odds in a match schedule that features too many complex results to predict. The idea is that while the Warriors will get 110-120, the Sixers will be hopeless in their offense against the great GSW defense and they won't be ablet to get near 100.

Detroit Pistons @ Toronto Raptors - Over 204.5pts @ 2
Here again I like the odds, Detroit didn't play very well last night against the Cavs and still made plenty of points. Toronto at home is a powerhouse, so I feel this is the nicest option for today's games with great odds @ 2.

San Antonio Spurs @ Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers @ 2.08
Match of the day here, I would go with the Cavs at home with very nice odds. San Antonio is having some problems after the Warriors beating, plus Duncan is out and he was the best player on their win in San Antonio (schooled Kevin Love all night). On the side, we have the Cavs looking for vengeance and improving game after game (Love & Irving had been great in the last couple of games).

LOL I got all of them again, what a streak! Luckily this time I did bet on them so I've made some money.

I didn't expect such an easy game for the Cavs, they really crushed the Spurs and it would be interesting how this regained confident affects its upcoming games. The warriors were just slacking but there wasn't any chance they would lose that game, even in OT.
2057  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: January 31, 2016, 07:04:13 AM
I think Bitcoin price will eventually rise but Im really starting to feel it's a dead end. New ideas and projects will eventually take over and Bitcoin has a very tainted image already that I feel it can't shake off. It will still be used as a gateway to buy other coins or gambling, etc but unless something drastic happens and changes the scenery I don't really think it will be very relevant in 5 years the way things are going.
2058  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Basketball Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: January 30, 2016, 10:08:18 PM

2059  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBTCCasino.com - Provably Fair - HTML5 Mobile games on: January 30, 2016, 09:56:21 PM
Yes I guess it won't be a priority but more of a personal wish. Another one would be having successful live poker/tournament rooms, I always thought that was another niche where there are not a lot of options, specially because there seems to be no users. As far as I know there's not a clear Bitcoin Pokerstars, I know a big one existed and got hacked or something a while back, I don't remember the name.
