if i set my worker to multiport, and lock all coins except 2-3 of them, what will be happened when multipool switch to a coin that is locked in my profile? what coin my miner mine in that situation?

Lock just means the address is locked.  It has nothing to do with what the multiport mines.

The address is locked for what? not paying out ?

It's locked in case someone gets a hold of your password or steals your session, so they won't be able to change it without knowing your PIN.

This transaction has been stuck in my wallet for quite a long time now..  Any way to get it into the blockchain?

I just redownloaded the blockchain with a single connect= to the node in OP and I still appear to be on the wrong chain, about 85 blocks behind the block crawler.

This is getting kind of ridiculous...

After changing connect to addnode and restarting:
Code:

I'm getting a lot of disconnects from the EU server and not just when switching coins:

I'll look at this as soon as I can, but it might not be until tonight.  It would help if you could state what coin we're on when you're getting the disconnects so I can check the logfile for that pool.

What I'm wondering is, when it's implemented, will our current balances be auto exchanges even if the balance has been there for say a month or so?

Flound already answered this:
I have no plans to trade current balances and if I do it will be at a higher fee.

I have no problem with this, just wait until the balance is over 1, enable the autoconvert for the coin and cash out your balance manually. You will then never have to deal with it again. I can't wait...

Actually, I'm planning to reduce minimum withdrawal to 0 when the new withdrawal code is complete.  There will, however, be a withdrawal fee if the withdrawal is below a certain amount.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching][0%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: August 17, 2013, 03:22:49 PM
I'm curious, when flound enables the autoconvert to BTC function, could it cause issues with the value of the coins? Currently, when we sell our coins individually, we don't all sell at the same time and we do so with small amounts. We can usually sell all our coins at the best buy order price. If the pool tries to sell a large volume of coins then wouldn't that cause the value of the coin to drop precipitously, and wouldn't there be a chance that there wouldn't be sufficient (decent) buy orders?

For example if I were to sell 3 NVC right now on Cryptsy, there's a buy order for 3 NVC at 0.04710001 (BTC) so I could sell all my coins at the best price. Now if the pool were trying to sell 100 NVC, would it put in a sell offer at 0.0471001? If so, the first 3 NVC would sell immediately but what of the remaining 97 NVC? The sell order could sit there for a long time before all the coins are sold, or if the value of the coin drops, then they could just never sell. If we look at the current buy orders, the break down is as follows (I grouped the buy orders rounded to simplify):

Price - NVC
0.04x - 25
0.03x - 4
0.01x - 11
0.000045 - 100

So right now we could sell 25 NVC at 0.04x, 4 NVC at 0.03x, 11 NVC at 0.01x and the balance (60) at 0.000045. That would net us 1.2327 BTC or 0.012327 BTC/NVC not good at all.

I'm no expert in coin trading so maybe my assumptions are totally wrong. Also, if the autoconvert sells the coins quickly in very small batches then this could be a non issue.

The sell order(s) would be placed when a block is scored.  For NVC, we are getting approximately 10 NVC per block.  Say 50% of users had the convert to bitcoin option enabled.  So a sell order would be placed for 5 NVC.

As we found more NVC blocks, we would continue placing sell orders at the current bid.  This might drive the profitability down, but if it does we would just switch to another coin.

I'm targeting end of this month.

CAP has been disabled for a while.  The new client came out this morning, so I'll be compiling it shortly and I'll turn the CAP pool on after that.  I'll re-enable CAP on the MP once it has been stable for a few days.  If it forks again after that, I'll be leaning toward removing it permanently.

Is CAP re-enabled? Can we min it directly to test it out?

It's currently still down.  I will most likely re-enable the CAP pool tomorrow at or after 12PM EST when the old nodes are due to be disconnected from the network, assuming there are no major forks and I don't need to redownload the blockchain again.

You can't blame the religion.

Blame the Islamic extremists

spot on!

If you give the "moderate" muslims the choice between the Islamic extremists and atheist for example, you know they are going for the extremist right?

Better to be hardcore in what you believe, than to tolerate other moderates that are a little different in their believes.

The only reason extremists (of any religion, of any kind) exist is because in the end they have the support of the moderate co-believers.

After reading this comment. I am not able to stop myself from laughing. Cheesy Seriously you need to study some history about how these extremists came in to being. Consider it an advice. Don't engage yourself in discussion you don't know about. Smiley

I do know it's always trouble in the muslim world. On this random day, 50 people are dead in Egypt because of tensions. Coincidence?

There's tension everywhere.

Christian extremists have burned the homes of homosexuals.

Hell, even Buddhist extremists have lynched Muslims and committed hate crimes.

I say we ban all religion and turn everyone into atheists Cheesy. At least there will be no more religion-motivated crimes.

Hitler was atheist, Mussolini was atheist, Staline was atheist, Mao was atheist, Kim Jong-il was atheist.
Do you want other examples?

If you remove religion,  people would use economy, ethnic group, geography,  or whatever.

Why is there such hostility between Chinese and Japanese? religion?

Hitler was catholic.

Ahmed himself has been making racist and offensive comments against some twat named Badri. When the shoe is on the other foot he comes runing here crying like a little girl.

Go RS - go!!

Yeah, Islam the religion of peace, as long as you aren't,

Jewish, Asian, European, African, Female, Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, Homosexual, Bi-Sexual, Handicapped, Educated Female, think for yourself.....

1073  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: August 16, 2013, 05:56:54 PM
I have a question. I've been reading through this thread and have seen everybody pissing on MtGox with fury over the situation. At the same time it seems people have multiple withdrawal requests for thousands of dollars.

Mt.Gox is a way to buy bitcoins.

As far as I know there have been no problems buying or transferring bitcoins. The only problem is withdrawing USD, which is obviously tied to the old existing banking system.

Now, I'm not saying Mt.Gox should not have offered withdrawal by wire service, but it seems to me if they didn't this problem wouldn't exist. In other words the people making all these USD withdrawal requests apparently were not truly interested in owning bitcoins, but in something different. So now that the system has jammed up everyone is in a temper. It seems to me Mt.Gox isn't the only entity responsible for the resulting situation of multitudes of people withdrawing thousands of USD, or am I missing something?

You're missing quite a bit.

OK I dont unerstand, will there be another fix or what?

I'd imagine the devs are waiting to see what happens when the old clients get disconnected at 12 noon EST tomorrow.

If there are still forks after that, fixes will be needed.  Until then, people will need to be constantly checking to make sure they're on the right chain.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps v1.4.1 Released Mandatory Update ASAP By 8/17/2013 12:00 EST on: August 16, 2013, 05:00:50 PM
I have the strangest feeling that ISP's and GOVT's are beginning to block "bitcoin-like" packet data and ports.

This can't be just a software issue, because this software ran perfectly up until just recently. This is not the only coin having issues. Unless there is some new exploit being used, that has not been detected or addressed yet.

Also note, even TOR and torrents have had similar issues with this recently. ISP's purposely killing TOR  and torrent traffic, or anything they "consider to be bandwidth-limiting to other customers".

Which includes trimming data-packets, closing connections, and purposely corrupting data that they find to be "a burden to network traffic".

The problem is... the programs are not compensating for the failures of TCP data, which they easily fake as being successfully delivered. UDP data evades this, as it requires non-standard correction and delivery methods that they can not fake. (Eg, if they alter it, and can't fake a successful delivery, like they can with TCP, they just get flooded with more UDP sends.)

P.S. I eventually got on a tall chain, still with only 1 connection... height 76332... Hope that is the right one. (Stopping at block 60000 and backing-up, so I don't have to keep redownloading over and over and over and over... shit that I shouldn't have to keep redownloading. This thing should be working bckc to the point of the branch, "hard coded block", and rebuilding itself from that point up... every time there is a new height-fork detected.)

I have to keep disconnecting, due to the connection stopping talking to me, not sending the next block... Thus, increasing the chance that the next connection does NOT connect to a tall chain again. Just happened now... caught it in time... new height 76859... this time... with 4 connections.

P.P.S. This is just frustration speaking... I still commend your great work and ongoing efforts, to everyone participating.

Well I'm sure that some VPS providers are probably blocking bitcoin-like data with the rash of people buying cheap VPS's and running the CPU to 100% 24x7 to mine things like XPM.

When people start filing complaints with the US SEC and the Japan Financial Services Agency, that will happen.

Yes, first you throw them sticks between the legs and then you close it because they hobble.  Tongue

Wait so Mt. Gox's customers did this to them?

Oh and flound, if I were you I'd focus on implementing the auto exchange to bitcoin feature like middlecoin is based around, more profits for everyone!  Smiley

The frontend has been up.. what error are you getting?
