1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: September 16, 2016, 06:56:22 PM

Not worth taking the time to explain to us your insane valuation? You expect 1 billion dollar daily trade volume by the end of next year. Seems pretty confident. What makes you so confident? All you have is an app, like getgems. But with less features than getgems. They had a larger community and more features and look where they are now. And yes, we all know that centralized exchanges are doomed to fail. That's why we have bitsquare, wavesplatform and syscoin - which is still 50% vapor, but they aren't making crazy statements like 1 billion dollar daily trade volume by next christmas. I'd like to see what information validates your assumption of 1000× growth in a year.

They are not promising anything, that's the goal and considering how the the app works and how straight forward the whole system seems to be I don't think it's unrealistic at all.

You think 8k sats for 1 LKK is overvalued and you name unusable vaporware like bitsquare, waves and syscoin as legit projects? Those are the ones that are way overvalued if you ask me. And by the way, the price doesn't change if you invest more like in Waves where investors got screwed when it was overfunded.

30M are for sale at that price and that's it, they are not looking to hoard as much BTC as possible and investors be damned. Another huge plus in my opinion, very clear and honest approach.

Oh I would never say those projects are confirmed legit - but they have market values far below Lykke and they seem to have a similar product and ambition. The Lykke literature anticipates a valuation beyond the marketcap of Bitcoin within 400 days and I just find that unrealistic. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I really like the popular new focus on blockchain assets and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. I really enjoy the Colu interface for creating custom assets on colored coins, and I hope this project will be as capable of doing all that and more soon.

Hmm I don't think 1 billion trade volume translate into LKK marketcap and valuation, but on the services and products they provide on the marketplace and exchange. It already works flawlessly and it's very user friendly so I would definitely think of moving there from Poloniex, at least part of my daily trading holdings.

Sorry if I misunderstood you but you can't really compare it to Waves or similar unproven projects. Lykke is a full fledged company already funded that have a working product and regulations in place. It may not pan out of course, you can invest or not.

I would definitely agree with you if the set price was above Waves or Lisk from the get go (actually it may even be acceptable if you ask me) but saying 8k sats is completely inflated and overvalued...really?

1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshare ICO Statistics & Lottery Draw Announced! on: September 14, 2016, 06:09:13 PM
To be honest, this is a mess an not very good publicity. I really don't understand how following both Twitter and Facebook, retweeting all news, newsletter signup plus the spanish translation in this forum that got +1000 views got me the outstanding sum of 34 antshares. This is far from what was advertised to say the least.

I participated on the ICO and I'm honestly thinking of getting a refund, google sheets with very dubious calculations and security, no clear instructions on how to update them (and it's not our job afterall).... shows a complete lack of professionalism and attention to detail. That's really all I need to know.

I would like to hear some explanations from the team.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 14, 2016, 05:38:26 PM
Everything has a risk, ETH was above $20 and sailing when the DAO hack happened so we don't know for sure. But the price will definitely be above 0.02 very soon if nothing odd happens, that's my opinion. Bitcoin was also dormant most of the year until the halvening was very close and it pumped for that reason alone (I thought it wasn't even gonna pump for a moment).

I bought in at 0.017-18 so I'm safe for now, already made some profit, I don't really expect the price to be below $11 or 0.018 anytime soon, ETH survived the DAO and ETC disasters and now it will be exposed to many newcomers.

Remember, the crowd in crypto renews just like in every other market. Many people hasn't even heard about Bitcoin yet or dismissed for years, now they are taking it more seriously considering all the economic turmoil.

Others were too young to invest or even get into crypto, now they are older and looking for options.

It's sad to see that people still think they can double their money gambling at this day and age. I mean, of course it's possible but it's not sustainable by any means.

Gambling should be treated as any other kind of entertainment, like paying to watch a movie or buying an app. Consider your money gone the minute you decide to gamble it and be happy and content if you get some of it back.

Now that poloniex has confirmed it wont add stratis, i think it will go sub 3k

HA!

Nice account you got there btw.

That would be awesome. I'll load up at sub 3k like you can't even imagine. But people are not that stupid, and Poloniex didn't confirm anything. It's actually quite understandable, Stratis work has already begun but it is in its infancy. That's how investment works. Up and to this day there's nothing to assume that Chris and Nicolas won't deliver on time, they are following the roadmap to a T.

Now compare the current price, progress, communication and development to Waves and you will understand how undervalued this project really is.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: September 12, 2016, 05:13:24 PM
From the time I wrote my last posts ETH pumped a little bit, it even touched $12 and now sits a little below it. To me it looks like a clear accumulation phase, if ETH didn't break after the DAO and ETC it won't go lower than this with Devcon 2 news and development progress coming out.

I've bought some at the dips at 178 and low 180 so I think I'm good, I'm not going all in of course but if I see the price did below those levels I'll definitely buy some more.

The volume is quite low in the exchanges at the moment. So if it is the accumulation phase, it will take some time.

Well it's second in volume on Poloniex alone, not sure what's the volume on Gemini, Coinbase, etc, remember you can get ETH with fiat. I agree the volume on Polo is not really impressive so far but it's picking up. I don't think devcon2 is priced in, any news will make it pass 200k in my opinion but I could be wrong.

I still think ETH reached its bottom for the year and it's 10-11 dollars. Fanboys are stubborn, they won't sell below that or 150k. Even after ETC and DAO debacles.

Iverson made it to the NBA finals with a mediocre Philly team, that was a huge accomplishment. Plus he was one of the greatest fighters along with Kobe, those guys played with broken fingers, swollen knees, ailing backs, you name it.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 11, 2016, 08:34:37 PM
Those bailing out now have no idea that this actually is the NEXT Bitcoin with more use than trading on an exchange and some use with merchant products, this is world-wide corporate business applications, that Bitcoin has FAILED in entering.

What Satoshi is to Bitcoin,  Trew/Dorier is to Stratis/NBitcoin

1$?? you think too small , more like goodbye moon! Bitcoin going out of our galaxy Smiley

Look Stratis has huge potential but there's no need for that kind of hype, the project is still in its early days of development. Now with that being said, if NBitcoin is succesfully developed it will become a huge asset for the Bitcoin blockchain and that can only bring value to the Stratis project and developers.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 11, 2016, 06:35:25 PM
After watching the youtube interview the project goal is:

NBitcoin (C# Bitcoin Node (blockchain)) -> Forked to Stratis Full Node (C#, stratis blockchain)

Impressive development and approach to business platform applications, incorporating both technologies, and giving bitcoin's blockchain more incorporation into the business world computing Smiley

They truly are filling in the gap of the missing link between bitcoin tech and corporate business applications!

Furthermore, granted Microsoft isn't behind the project atm , is because chris said it's not a priority at this point with Azure, but they will seek microsoft's backing when the project is ready for it.

Furthermore, microsoft has actually developed open source .net framework for application development, this is huge for bitcoin/stratis!

Queston is, why after this interview, such a dump? Did ppl not understand what they discussed?

Just speculators selling the news and taking profits, the price will fluctuate like all coins that are traded daily. People investing long term don't need to bother with this. I personally checked the interview and it was very clear, Chris did a very good job answering some very incisive questions (props to cryptomarket "oracles" too Smiley. Anything below 10-20k for me it's a very cheap and fair price for your investment. Every investment has a risk, so don't expect the price to be at 40-50-100k now, the project needs a lot of development and marketing to get there but they have a good plan and they are working on it.

Plus, comparing this to the Waves interview (which was cringeworthy to say the least) is clear that Chris and Nicolas are very passionate, honest and hard working people. Everyone wants a lambo now but Ethereum is currently valued below $12, ICO investors took a big risk for months and even years, that's how it works, Ethereum is now an established product/service but it wasn't back then, all work was ahead of them.

Plus, Stratis ICO investors can sell theirs right now if they don't believe in the project and will get a 7x profit...so I would say everything's going according to plan. Keep up the good work!

An Epic Class — Each year sees a new class inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and by nature, some classes are more star-studded than others. But the class of 2016, inducted last night in Springfield, was as big as it gets. As our own Scott Howard-Cooper writes, last night’s induction ceremony was some kind of party.
Here are some of three NBA Hall of Famers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-IiiFvfdVo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHt5pCHgsdk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x67RQKknl-g

Shaquille O'neal, Allen Iverson and Yao Ming really deserve to be in Hall of Fame, even though Iverson and Yao has no rings. Yao has the shorter carreer of those 3 because of injury but he is really a dominant in his stint.

Shaq and Iverson being inducted is no surprise, Iverson didn't get a title but he was very close with a mediocre Philly team against much better ones like Lakers, Spurs, etc. Yao Ming career was a little dissapointing in the sense that his potential was huge, he lacked a little personality in my opinion being a chinese player among NBA superstars but he still held its own and it was a major force in the league when healthy. I remember him putting some monster numbers, stats line like +30 pts, +15 rebs, +4-5 blks were very common. You don't have centers like him or let alone Shaq anymore, the closest thing was Howard at his prime.

On the other hand the game has changed an evolved to a more perimeter focused one so it makes sense. But I would love to see young Yao or Shaq play against the Warriors, Cavs and other teams and see if they could impact today's game dynamics the way they did back then.

btw, isn't the translation bounty too little compared to other bounties? Usually translation bounty is greater than tweet bounty, but seems wierd here.
no, it's not. i had seen many people using "magic tools" (yea, you right, it's google translate) for translating ICONOMI thread, i think that's why translation bounty is little compared another bounties.

So because there's one "scam" job that uses google translate (anyone can do that) you punish all the rest? A proper translation takes around 30-60 minutes depending on the content. I know because I usually do some and I even applied for Iconomi but the translation was already done (and very well).

Your argument is completely invalid and pretty stupid actually. You don't seem to respect other people's work.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: September 09, 2016, 03:22:16 AM

let see how gsw will manage to go back to the finals as we see that san antonio also acquired pau gasol replacing tim duncan place so there a big fight that will happen from the west. good luck

And in very year, we all know that Western Conference team is really a close game match in terms of standings. There have been many tied standings in the West compare to the East.

And sometimes the rank 8th of the West is rank 4th in the East when you put that team in the East. Smiley

Having Pau Gasol in San Antonio is not really be a big impact in that team, remember that he's become a part of chicago bulls and see what happen,

I think Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks will face in the Western Conference Finals..

I think the Clippers are bound to make an NBA finals appearance and this may be the year. I don't care about the Warriors and Durant, I can almost guarantee that either Curry or Durant will be out for the season (two very fragile players) and then the team will just implode, no depth whatsoever.

Gasol is a non factor for the Spurs but it's an improvement over David West and the loss of Duncan so he'll be alright along Aldridge (who will have to step up and that could be very important factor for the Spurs).
