easy way: plug disk into working computer, recover data, and reinstall windows. if you want to fix the MBR in-place, it will be much trickier.
1082  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying Amazon.com Gift Cards @ 85% value on: July 04, 2014, 12:43:24 AM
How much you need? I can make this.
I was in contact with you but you stopped responding. We can still do the deal but it's either escrow or you go first.

Absolutely useless. Remember inputs.io? It had two factor authentication, gpg authentication and a bunch of other security features. but it still got "hacked".
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MedusaMiner ??? on: July 02, 2014, 12:01:23 AM
IT'S A VIRUS.

Quote from: grue
  • the miner requires admin rights, but no other miners requires that
  • it appears to be a compiled autoit script
  • the miner does not import opencl.dll, which all other miners do
  • if you go on his site, minersforwindows.com, you'll notice that every download has the same executable
  • archive metadata shows that the archive was modified and the proper executable was replaced
1086  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and Violence Completely Ignored by Moderator on General Discussion Board on: July 01, 2014, 10:44:12 PM
You have admitted that you don't care if a bitcoin forum is free from racial slurs like "shit skin", "nigger", or "kike". Obviously, you should be banned and have no idea how to keep a forum civilized and inviting. I honestly never thought this place would allow this disgusting behavior. Unfortunately, it appears it has been infiltrated by some nefarious group.

I wonder who could be behind this?
People is saying mean things and moderators won't do anything about it! That must mean that the forum has been infiltrated by them and all of this is orchestrated by a cabal of (jews|palestinians|arabs).
1087  Economy / Digital goods / Buying Amazon.com Gift Cards @ 85% value on: July 01, 2014, 10:29:53 PM
I'm buying up to $100 in Amazon.com gift cards, at 80% value (bitstamp rates). The amount I will actually buy from you may be less than $100, especially if you're not established here.

edit:
newbies, jr. members, and members need not apply unless they can prove the cards were obtained legitimately.

1090  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [EBOOK] How to make $3000-$5000 Montly Super Easy [AUTOBUY][UNSATURATED] on: July 01, 2014, 03:55:00 AM
Review

Quality of information: 4/5 - Very detailed guide, complete with instructions each day for 30 days. The method is logical and I can see it working. However, I can't comment on whether the guide will bring in $3000-$5000 as claimed because I don't have the time to test this method.

Opportunity Cost[1]: 3.5/5 - Doesn't require any investment other than time. However, expect 30min - 90 min of work each day.

Originality: 2/5 - It's affiliate marketing, what can I say?

Formatting/grammar: 3/5 - I don't have any issues understanding the guide, but the formatting is poor. The entire guide uses one font and is always bold, plus the line breaks are
weird, causing
sentences to look like this.

Other notes: The author offers a money back guarantee, so there shouldn't be any risk from buying this guide, provided you use an escrow.

[1]5/5 means no opportunity cost, 1/5 means enormous opportunity cost.

(disclosure: I have received the ebook free of charge from OP)

1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to use Shamir's Secret Sharing on: June 29, 2014, 09:21:48 PM
Don't bother using Shamir's Secret Sharing, just use multisig transactions. It's part of the bitcoin protocol so you don't need a tool to recombine the keys.

1096  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do I tag a bitcoin address using my bitcointalk profile? on: June 29, 2014, 03:42:27 AM
I suspect bitcointalk profiles are tagged through a crawler, because my address got tagged and I didn't do anything.

1098  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] BTC for $500 Ebay Gift Card on: June 28, 2014, 11:52:39 PM
even if ebay doesn't do refunds, the seller can still do a chargeback through the credit card company, so the risk is still there.
1099  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: localbitcoins.com redirects to google.com on: June 28, 2014, 11:09:11 PM

ok so it's not your DNS. what browser are you using, and have you tried running in safe mode (disable all extensions)?

Code:
nslookup localbitcoins.com
