1081  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: September 09, 2016, 09:45:24 PM
A customer uses a certain payment method if he has an advantage from it.
In case of bitcoin that can be anonymity. But it needs not to be that necessarily.
Maybe some kind of bonus can be introduced when a payment with bitcoins is made.
A few extra rounds when you play at a casino, for example.
1082  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2016, 08:37:22 AM
In my opinion 2016 was good to us.
Price increased from 430$ to 620$ at the moment. When you put your money into a bank account you will never make that much profit.
And who knows how high we could be if dao and bitfinex did not happen.
The good thing is that 2016 is not finished yet, and I think the price trend goes up.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: September 08, 2016, 02:31:22 PM
Bitcoin is already pretty strong but it has the potential to become even bigger, better and stronger in the future. They will need to attract more people to go out and make use of Bitcoin.
If that is not going to happen then I think that Bitcoin is not going to be as big as people think.

That's right in future bitcoin  is only method and currency which gonna rule the future and the only currency which is going to adopt by American economy.
this payment gateway only gonna sent paypal away from this world.

Paypal will face tough competition from bitcoins in future but that doesn't mean that it will simply disappear, people who are satisfied with Paypal will continue to use it even bitcoin gains more popularity.
thats true, bitcoins are really big right now in my opinion and it is going to grow only in the future, paypal will have hard time

With every new user bitcoin turns stronger & stronger.
It could really happen that in a year or two, maybe paypal will adapt bitcoin in their system.
I hope That one day even payments will be possible by bitcoin and maybe even assured by the paypal system.
Technically I see no problems, it's just that paypal does not want (yet).
1084  Economy / Speculation / Re: SHOULD BUY BITCOIN RIGHT NOW OR WAITING FOR THE END OF THE YEAR 2106? on: September 08, 2016, 01:56:39 PM
If no unforeseen things happen, I suppose the price will increase slowly.
With unforeseen I mean something like a hacked exchange, that can not be predicted.
Of course bitcoin will have its ups and downs the rest of the year, but I think the trend goes up.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: September 08, 2016, 01:50:45 PM
Although I think that there are too many altcoins out there at the moment, I think that altcoins in general are necessary for bitcoin.
They are used for trading, for pumping and dumping, lots of people earn with those.
So they are used to increase popularity pf bitcoin as well because bitcoin is always the reference currency.

1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: September 07, 2016, 01:21:22 PM
Hell the really do it they really hate it because they either has less knowledge about it or have they herd some rumers about it from media or friends

Yeah probably that would be the case.  We tend to hate someone when we do not know everything about them.  When we are not familiar with things we lack of interest.  Those people might not have tried to atleast read or see the actual thing bitcoin can make.

If we are not aware about something then how can we hate that thing? People hate it because they have lost their money in it in the past by investing at the wrong place.

Yeah. They just hated bitcoin because they have bad experience in using bitcoin. They think bitcoin is just a waste of time for losing money. But they do not know that bitcoin is really a great help for every individual.

And media supported that view.
Only reports that wrote the negative sides were shown, like paid ransome or payments for illegal things.
So no wonder bitcoin got a doubtful image.
But I think that has changed a little in the meantime.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: September 07, 2016, 10:05:27 AM
My investment strategy is that i try to keep myself away from investments.
Really, I tried altcoins, gambling, lendig... somehow I seem not to be talented in that way.
I buy bitcoins and use them for payment if I can do that.
Everything else just costed me money till now.
If you will give up easy you will not succeed and you will not recover your loses, failing in the first is already expected for most of the investors but if you learn from your mistakes I am sure you will be stronger the second time around, it is just a matter of time and you need be patient and take it a step by step process.

True, every business like investment or trading and anything are risky, and if we want to earn money, than should courage himself, than you will take a step into your successful life and all our loses give us a lesson than we know what is right for us.

I think that there are different was to learn from mistakes. You can either try to find out what exactly went wrong during the investment process, or you can change the field of your efforts away from investments to something that seems to be more profitable to you. Cause in the end, that's why we do investments, to make some profit. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages.
1088  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: September 07, 2016, 08:45:11 AM
In poorer countries it may very well be possible to earn a living just by doing faucets or signature campaigns.
If you really need in Venezuela just 50$ a month, I think that can be done that way.
In industry countries it's harder to achieve a living with bitcoins.
There you must have certain skills othe people need to get a living paied with bitcoins.
Such as designing or programming.

1090  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you convince people to use Bitcoin? on: September 07, 2016, 07:18:59 AM
If somebody has no interest in technical stuff I think it makes no sense to try to convince him to use bitcoins.
I think shop owners have the best position of all to convince people who might be interested into using bitcoins.
They could advertise to people who use their shop with a little bonus if they pay with bitcoins.
Maybe a little present or a few % off the regular price.
1091  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: September 07, 2016, 07:13:34 AM
I have bought me my coins with localbitcoins and coinimal.
Coinimal (now bitpanda) was the first time I tried to buy bitcoins.
I chose that site because I could buy a small amount with fiat and without much veryfication. Don't know if they still handle it that way.
Till now I did not regret that I bought bitcoins.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stickers for cars on: September 05, 2016, 08:35:29 AM
I prefer to wear some cool Bitcoin shirts.
In big cities when you're walking through shopping malls and crowded places you will definitely attract some attention.
The people might start to talk with you but they will definitely have a short focussed look on what's on your shirt.
Best is to have shirts printed on the front and back side.

Not that long ago a younger guy, probably 16 years old, recognized my BTC shirt, came over to me and said: BTC is awesome dude!Buying all my games with it now.
No kidding!

So shirts, stickers for cars or , emblems, bracelets etc. can help to get some attraction.

This shop for instance has some really cool stuff.

Ever thought about a bitcoin tattoo?
Ther are not many of them out there yet.
But there is a guy who has a Bitcoin Qr code tattooed on his arm.
I am wondering if that thing is really working...
1093  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my signature campaign earnings ? on: August 31, 2016, 06:59:51 PM
I use my earnings for online stuff.
VPN or one-click-hoster accounts can all be bought with bitcoins and for those my earnings with the campaign are enough.
I once tried to do a little bit of trading on exchange sites, but i'm not smart enough to predict the market yet.
If I would not buy these things with my earnings, I would safe my bitcoins.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges , a "Free" alternative to mixers ? on: August 31, 2016, 05:49:24 AM
An exchange can always have financial problems you do not know of.
Or even being hacked, just at the moment where you deposit your money there.
And they charge fees for every transaction and withdrawl.
A bitmixer just sends the coins around, at least as far as I know.
I see a much lower risk in using a bitmixer than in using an exchange.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Soon $100 on: August 30, 2016, 04:34:50 PM
Monero was pumped the last few days, and soon it will fall again, like all the other coins before.
And like all the other coins before, it will not recover from that event, because in peoples mind it will have the branding of an already used coin.
One pump, one dump. For every coin.
So no. No monero will ever be worth 100$ because the pump phase will not last that long.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoin ATMs worth using? on: August 30, 2016, 07:50:58 AM
That actually could be the problem with atms: Nobody uses them.
If more people would get their coins from atms, they would most likely have lower rates.
To all those here who have used an atm already, what was the lowest fee you had to pay?
1097  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Solve captcha for bitcoins on: August 28, 2016, 01:45:05 PM
But be sure that you really earn something.
Sometimes the payrates are so low, the costs for the electric power is largere than the money you get for the job.
If you have any other option to make money, don't solve captchas.
It's just not worth the time.
1098  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 28, 2016, 01:42:37 PM
But a stable price would have advantages as well.
Especially when you want to have it as a payment option in shops.
With a stable price you can calculate and you do not have to worry that the coin price could fall and you lose money that way.
If bitcoin would be implemented in more shops, the popularity would rise too.
1099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where is going transaction charge ??? on: August 24, 2016, 08:52:34 PM
I am wondering another thing:
The fee goes to the miner who first adds it to a new block.
So is that baisically the miner who finds a new block?
And is that then what I read as first confirmation?

Exactly the miner who mine the first block after your transaction was made!

So you can see in the blockchain.info the number of blocks and when they were mined (like 10 min ago, 16 min ago)

If your fees were enough(not too low) then it should be included in the next block and that is counted as the first confirmation, and then every block after it is +1 confirmation.

That would bring me to another question:
How does a miner know that a transaction was made?
I mean where are they stored before they are recorded as a part of the blockchain?
