Right, but autoconvert to BTC is coming soon, so you'll be able to mark a checkbox next to the coins you want to autoconvert and you won't have to deal with them.

How will the exchange rate(s) be set?  The price of any given trading pair (xxC/BTC) can vary from one exchange to another (even BTC/USD varies from exchange to exchange!).  And how often will it be updated? Will there be a fee for the service?

I think it's a GREAT idea, just wondering about the mechanics.

There won't be an exchange rate, per se.  The coins will be sent to an exhchange and sold at the best offer price.  Once the sale is completed, the BTC (minus fees) will be credited to your account.  There will be a detailed transaction history so you can see what exchange rate(s) you get.

Can't seem to get past block 75457.

Right, but doesn't autoconvert NVC to BTC still require a minimum of 1 NVC?

Why would it?

The minimum withdraw is there to keep the pool from getting killed by transaction fees.  Convert to BTC will be done in batches so this won't apply.

Getting lots of these in my debug.log:
Code:

BTW what do you guys think of Orbitcoin?  The devs are asking me to add it.

Here's what I think.

If you add 25 new crypto currencies to the mulitport, then we'll have something like 0.5 coins of 25 crypto currencies.

The minimum withdrawal is usually 1 coin

So if you don't have a huge hash rate, you might find yourself with 25 shit coins that you can't withdraw,
and you watch their value depreciate so that the next day, you would have been better off just mining litecoins.

In other words, a line has to be drawn.

Right, but autoconvert to BTC is coming soon, so you'll be able to mark a checkbox next to the coins you want to autoconvert and you won't have to deal with them.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][Multi-Coin][Stratum] multipool.in - Always Mine the most profitable coin on: August 15, 2013, 06:17:48 PM
Why is CAP down? Its has 10x more profit then BTC at the moment!

It doesn't, we're on the wrong chain.  I'm waiting for a client update before I re-enable it.  The only reason the daemon is up is so people can withdraw if they want to.

ok thanks, i hope make a lot of money soon!  Grin

Me too!

Flound was busy last night.  FTC, MNC, LKY, and CAP are all disabled on the MP and CMC is gone entirely.

CMC will be back once I figure out the problem with block submission in stratum.

CAP has been disabled for a while.  The new client came out this morning, so I'll be compiling it shortly and I'll turn the CAP pool on after that.  I'll re-enable CAP on the MP once it has been stable for a few days.  If it forks again after that, I'll be leaning toward removing it permanently.

I disabled FTC, MNC and LKY last night because those were the last of the coin daemons I needed to move, then I realized I had to recompile them on the new server because the version of libboost was different..  And of course I violated my policy of not doing things before going to sleep on a derpy day to begin with so I forgot to re-enable them.  We didn't miss anything, though.  We nearly missed a mincoin spike this morning, but middlecoin was nice enough to stay on WDC, so we caught it when I re-enabled MNC on the multiport.

Flound, I see that the estimated block time on all currencies are 0 minutes, was this because of the DOS attack?

It's because I rewrote part of the site to exclusively use a cached variable, and didn't update that part..  It's fixed now.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching][0%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: August 15, 2013, 03:49:28 AM
So there was an attack on the pool?

Seems like an attempted DoS on the frontend.

Seems like there was some kind of attack, still investigating.. Pools went down because I ran the wrong script (derpy day for me).

Pools are up now, even though the frontend is down.

1094  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox/Bitstamp sustained spread reaches all time high at 12.48% on August 12th on: August 14, 2013, 10:36:51 PM
Who is still buying at this spread at Mt. Gox? Are there a handful of people who CAN withdraw there and they are arbitraging this?
No, the people buying on Mt. Gox are those who have USD stuck there. It's still possible to get Bitcoins out of Mt. Gox (maybe; there have been reports of trouble).  So people with USD stuck on Mt. Gox are buying Bitcoins at a 15% loss just to get out.

Right.  What I don't get is who would possibly sell their BTC unless they were getting their wires prioritized?  If it were a truly free market, the price would have skyrocketed months ago.

Other than those somehow getting their wires prioritized, the only people who would sell BTC at Gox are those who are speculating that Gox will eventually start sending out fiat again (or have insider information about when that will happen).
1095  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt GOX starting to die? on: August 14, 2013, 10:34:21 PM

First of all, I refuse to argue with someone who is so grossly incompetent.  Second, please refer to links.

 Roll Eyes

- Coinbase doesn't use Gox
- Bips doesn't use Gox
- Bitpay doesn't use Gox

That's exactly what I've written.

They all no longer use Gox, but they do not produce obvious volume on their new places of activity. => quod erat demonstrandum  Smiley

Coinbase, Bips and Bitpay simply have no appreciable volume. All what they have are loud-mouthed press releases which make clear how important they are.  Cheesy

If they use Gox, they either have exclusive contracts for getting their fiat out, or they have deep investor pockets and are trying to cash in on the spread.

What are the other possible explanations for these services continuing to use Gox?

CMC can be considered up for testing on port 3338, however DGC profitability just went over 5 and will be there for a few hours, I'm not going to pull the multiport off that to test CMC.  I can try with the multiport again for a few minutes in the morning.  For now, if you want to point your miners at it, go ahead, but keep in mind that blocks may not be submitted properly and you might not get paid anything.
Dude, why'd ya enable CMC for MP if it hasn't even started listing all the many blocks I found today  Huh

It feels strange loosing round shares when no blocks have been acknowledged as found.

I didn't, I only switched it to CMC for a minute to test.  I had made some changes in stratum and didn't want to have to wait the ~3.5 hours it was estimating to find a block.

Anyway, it's still not working.  I've looked at the source code and the submitblock code is practically identical to CGB, so I'm not sure why the block submission is failing.  I'm getting an exception on block submit and I've reached out to the devs for help..  Hopefully they'll be able to, but it doesn't appear as though anyone has gotten CMC working with stratum as of yet.

Right now any hashpower directed at CMC is wasted, so I've turned off the pool for now.

Here's the exception I'm getting on submitblock, maybe the devs can help.

So has anyone figured out the magic code to get stratum working with this coin?

Just went live with a bit of a cleaner look..  Hope you guys like it.

Also, detailed payout history is now available.

Hello Flound,

It's very  nice pool. It's great job. But I have some suggestion about UI changes.

1. Home page not very well formatted. List of stratum addresses is below news column.
2. I would like old view in "Account" menu item. Because when I cash out i see to witch address I do.

Thanks in advance,

TDS
