10981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AppleBytes - the cryptocurrency for the arts! on: March 01, 2016, 07:16:24 PM

ArtByte still has a very large and growing community of artists and art lovers on social media. To best see what is going on with us, follow ArtByte Twitter

We have always believed that the user community is the key that will determine longterm success. Because of this, we don't often post on BitcoinTalk. It is the artist and art lovers who matter to us, not the currency speculators.

We are currently working on many programs, but they are focused on continuing to make the user experience easier and more simple for non-techno geeks. Current projects include:

 - A rewrite of the main site ArtByte.me, clearly communicating how ArtByte serves as a token of appreciation given to artists, which they can exchange for cash, gift cards etc. Here are some recent projects:
 - Our site, ArtByte Store was recoded to provide a faster/easier way for ordinary users to get ArtBytes
 - We reworked our music site ArtByte Music Store to make it easier for musicians to list their music.
 - We reworked the faucet to handle a larger load as we were hitting highs of 1000 users a day on the site.
 - We upgraded the pool server to handle it's higher load.
 - Implementing our AML/KYC compliance program as required in the USA.

As you can see our focus is on the user experience, not developing some new algorithm, etc. that will excite the BitcoinTalk community, but make no difference to our users. If you recall, we combined features of Dash, Peercoin and Litecoin when we coded ArtByte. Our base code is fast and stable from the beginning.

Those are promising news for AppleByte. However, I am still facing issues with the wallet regarding my pending ABY balance. I have tried everything from resyncing the wallet, rescanning and even deleting blockchain data files to start sync all over. Even after many attempts, I have not managed to find a solution to this problem. Any help, please?  Sad
10982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 01, 2016, 06:51:38 PM
Does anyone believe that EXP could make it to .01?  this year?

I believe it could happen this year as things have been moving forward for Expanse a lot these days. ETH has been on the rise, as well as EXP, so there is no doubt that something big will happen real soon. Buy cheap EXP while you still can.  Grin
10983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 01, 2016, 06:48:36 PM

Ah, that's my fault, hoosen who manages the bank has been offline for a while, I'll try to catch up with it at the weekend.

Thanks for your help. I would be ideal to have more than one person managing the MUE bank, but it is just a suggestion. It would make things better and faster.

P.S. I was wondering if a MUE Bank asset could be made within the BitShares platform (just like Banxshares) and it could pay interest earnings to their shareholders (if you know what I mean) each 4 weeks. I don't know if this could be done autonomously (the interest earned) into the platform, but if so, then it would be very convenient.  Smiley
10984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a way to store data onto the Blockchain on: March 01, 2016, 06:44:47 PM
SIA

I saw this one but it is still in its beta release. I am hoping for a more stable version since it has a few bugs.

Datacoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325735.0) and Strojcoin (+ its siblings) all tried or actively doing that, so you can try to get some more details from the devs (if they are still reachable).

These ones look interesting. I was looking more forward into Storjcoin which has more interesting features. Will be awaiting its release. If there are other methods to accomplish this as well, please feel free to share them here.  Smiley

muebank now change?
are i can withdraw mine?
i have  a few there (muebank)  Grin Grin

Me too. I was wondering why at this point I haven't earned any interest yet. It has been 4 weeks already, but when I check the deposit address at the block explorer, the balance is still the same when I first made the deposit. Anyways, MUE is doing some good progress. I hope to see its market cap increase real soon.  Grin
10986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Domain Names? on: March 01, 2016, 05:51:37 PM
There is an ethereum name registry

Great! How exactly is it done or where could I find more information about it? Sorry for asking, but I am not too friendly on how to set up these things, especially by commands. Any guide that would tell me more about this? Perhaps I could register a name with .eth domain.  Smiley
10987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIDEN | 1st to use sCrypt-OG (GPU Optimized) [v0.10.2.2 Released 7/10/15] on: March 01, 2016, 05:46:30 PM
Was interested in this coin, but nothing from Dev is months.

It appears so. Looks like the dev is more interested into other projects like Expanse and Franko, and forgot this great coin. Oh well, it could not be bad to hold some AIDEN after all. Perhaps it would get the attention it deserves in the future.  Roll Eyes
10988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Domain Names? on: March 01, 2016, 04:18:16 PM
I was wondering if there could exist the possibility of having your own domain (TLD) based on the decentralized Ethereum platform. Similar to NXT, where I could establish an alias (NXT aliases) and set it up as a domain name ending in .nxt

As for Ethereum, I think it could be ending in .eth where it could be really interesting once it becomes a reality (if it didn't already).

What do you think?
10989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Looking for a way to store data onto the Blockchain on: March 01, 2016, 12:00:49 PM
I know that this could be achieved with Maidsafe, but the SAFE Network hasn't gone to mainnet (or released yet) and it would make me have to wait some time for it to happen. Unless there is a way which I am not aware of, then it would be fantastic.

If storing data onto the blockchain (like files or documents, etc) is already possible, can you please let me know which coin or what method could be used to achieve this?
10990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to learn everything about Ethereum? on: March 01, 2016, 11:59:15 AM
you can join their forum and ask anything you want to know
https://forum.ethereum.org/

Thanks for your reply, but I just wanted to find a way without all the hassle of making an account. I could definitely get some answers there, but I was looking more into a guide or book on which I could take with me anywhere and educate myself about Ethereum.  Smiley
10991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where to learn everything about Ethereum? on: March 01, 2016, 11:50:43 AM
Any good sites, books or any other sources of information that I could use in order to learn more about the Ethereum platform? Since I found out that the same is a very powerful one for making dapps, I have become more interested into learn more about it, especially on how to make your own applications from within the decentralized platform. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Smiley
10992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Kiklo's Bootstrap.dat for Proof of Stake Coins [Under Construction] on: February 27, 2016, 10:32:12 PM
This is a very clever idea for faster syncing of most PoS coins. I have always been looking for something like this and now I can go here each time to speed up the process of some coins that I am holding. The ones I like the most are Tekcoin and Diamond.  Smiley
10993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: February 27, 2016, 10:28:02 PM
I noticed the tekcoin Bootstrap on the OP was from 12/05/2014 .

Anyone that needs it can get a Current Tekcoin Bootstrap.dat (dated 2016-2-27) from my new bootstrap service at
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1378653.msg14024451#msg14024451

It is stored in a Rar format so it is less than half the size of a zip file.  Smiley
This Bootstrap service is basically free, we would appreciate it if the people running the OPs would place a link to us , that frees them from the tedious work of keeping a bootstrap updated where they can focus their time on more important matters, and in exchange we will update their Bootstrap on a monthly basis.

 Cool

Nice. This is really a great idea for faster sync of the TEK wallet. (and other PoS coins too) I love it since it provides an up to date list of most popular PoS coins blockchain data. I will bookmark this thread to check it regularly for updates.  Cheesy
10994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: February 27, 2016, 10:21:52 PM
Some still have hopes for this crap? Amazing. It was, and remains, transparently obvious from the get go this was a trainwreck since it brought absolutely nothing to the table and pretended to extract from crypto the benefits of a free ad campaign. Just how long it has to be until everyone realizes this unavoidable evidence? Geez!

I get the point, but who knows? Maybe something good will come up to this coin in the future and then I would have benefited from holding them all that time. Many things could happen, so I think it is not bad to hold some coins every once in a while.  Roll Eyes

I will keep some into a paper wallet for future use.  Smiley
10995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: RPi Zero BTC Node? on: February 27, 2016, 10:18:10 PM

Pine64 is released but sold out. 64+ and 64+ 2GB are unreleased and on pre order as you can see on their website.

(Talked about how bad stocks of Pine64 are... But Zero's are also virtually nonexistent at this point)

Thanks for the update. Hopefully, I would be able to pre order a couple of Pine 64+ (2GB) to setup a couple of nodes and support the Bitcoin network. I think I might give Bitcoin Classic a go. Bigger block size (2MB) would be better, so I would definitely go this route.  Smiley
10996  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Configuring miners for testnet Bitcoins? on: February 27, 2016, 10:15:31 PM
Same as solo mining on the regular network - you have to set up your bitcoin daemon correctly on the testnet network instead. Read the section on solo mining in the cgminer readme, though you need mining hardware to mine with, not just the controlling software.

Great! Thanks for your advice. I thought about this at first, but I really wasn't sure about it. I have all the mining equipment I need to begin testing with testnet coins. Just in case, I will make more research about it to learn more of the process.  Cheesy
10997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BanxShares as good as GAW Paycoin? on: February 27, 2016, 10:08:40 PM

What is happening is BanxShares are being moved to the BitShares platform.
Hopefully that will mean, assuming there are buyers, they could be traded for multiple pairs.

I've never used BitShares, so I don't know how it works, but Banx.io are managing the conversion.

Great! Thanks for the information. So I guess everything will be done automatically, right? If so, then it will be really sweet to see what big changes this will cause to Banx. I hope for a better system on the BitShares platform.  Grin
10998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: February 27, 2016, 10:06:36 PM
I really hope for some real innovation for this coin, as its features look very promising but development has been kept real quiet. There hasn't been any recent news on their official site. I hope that I am wrong and that this coin could keep up in the long run.  Smiley

Any recent news on how can we withdraw/exchange our Banx to BTS?
The migration to the Bitshares platform is underway.
Leave your BanxShares in Banx.io and the Banx team will advise regarding the move over to BitShares.

Banx.io is no longer closing, but make sure you withdraw all coins, except BanxShares from Banx.io before the 29th of Feb.

http://banxforum.com/index.php?threads/update-re-banx-io-closure-sale.291/#post-394

I found this rather confusing since how would the conversion from Banx to BTS will exactly occur? I mean is it done automatically or do I have to sell my Banx for BTS?  Huh
