11701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: November 21, 2015, 11:03:15 PM
Litecoin has bigger inflation than dogecoin, and even when next year it will halve it will still have higher inflation than doge.

I dont know, the price could move up but its very volatile.

How do you know when the next halving would come for Litecoin (or any other crypto)? How is this calculated? Still, it is possible to make profits from Litecoin due to the fact that it is volatile. This makes it pretty good for trading.  Smiley

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/

It makes good for trading, but a currency cannot be volatile if you want it to be used for mass commerce.

So from this POV, doge is much better. Now of course DOGE is a joke, with a silly name, i cannot see people using it en masse.

This is a great informative site about Litecoin's halving as well as Bitcoin's. Thanks for sharing it! And I agree with you, DOGE is better but it is mainly used for tipping due to its very cheap price.  Grin

I think amber is about the catch up the ico round price! 20K satoshi plus may be coming faster then we though.

Amber over 12k sat this is about to blow up.

I agree with you mate. I think that we should expect a higher price from Ambercoin in the next year, as more and more investors dive in (shareholders) and holding AMBER for long term. I'm still a little confused on what periods (each year) exactly shall dividends be paid?  Huh

This was said back in May, but with the decision to re-invest the profits back into the company it delayed the schedule for Q3.

Q1 dividends payout: 15-25 of April
Q2 dividends payout: 15-25 of July
Q3 dividends payout: 15-25 of October
Q4 dividends payout: 15-25 of January

Thanks for clarifying my doubts regarding the dividends payout. I guess I have been away from the happenings of Ambercoin for a while, and thus I would need to read the previous posts in this thread to stay updated. Grin
11703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Virtacoin Core CPU Usage on: November 21, 2015, 10:48:28 PM
Have anyone experienced high CPU usage when leaving the Virtacoin Core wallet open for a little while? I've noticed that it takes up 99% of my CPU usage when I look at the Task Manager.  Huh

Here is the screenshot:

Any idea on what this might be or how it could be solved. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.  Wink

As for btc vs ltc
Now you can't really have one without the other. As they say litecoin is silver to bitcoins gold.

Which one will be the copper then? : p

I think that if they call Bitcoin as Gold, and Litecoin as Silver then the copper would be Dogecoin in this case as it is much cheaper than Bitcoin and Litecoin itself. Do you think that Dogecoin might be looked as the "copper" of crypto?  Roll Eyes

Lol thanks guys! I drunk enough yesterday for another 40 years! Grin Grin

BTW more people noticed the Magi logo hide in this picture?

Let me guess...I think it is hidden on the wall clock, right? It is so difficult to distinguish the Magi logo in this picture. You need to look carefully to notice it. This is a pretty good picture, especially the logo part which is well hidden. Truly a work of art.  Roll Eyes

One thing I would like to see is the ability to gamble at a gambling site with Coin Magi as an acceptable form of payment. That would be really great as you could directly used your mined XMG instead of exchanging it to Bitcoin for gambling. Hope to see this happen real soon.  Smiley

P.S. Happy birthday 111magic!  Cheesy

Thanks amigo.
About the gambling: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=393147.6340
Magi has some nice votes there. Think would be good thing if more people send request to directbet for adding Magi there.
Activity is always good!

This is exciting news. I've placed my vote on the directbet thread and gave my support to Magi. Still, I would send a request to other gambling sites (like the one in my signature) to see if they would add Coin Magi to their list of acceptable crypto currencies. As soon as Magi becomes available to be used for gambling, I would use my mined XMG to test my luck.  Grin

We need the faces of this coin to do a Google Hangout sometime. Many of us are supporters so I think its time we have a round table discussion and get to know one another face to face and do some talking.  I haven't seen HyperFuture on twitter lately or here in the forum. It would be nice to  meet him sometime and have a chat with Justin Giefer as well.  We're going to be 2 years old in May!  Wow!

My twitter is @prodjkc if anyone wants to follow. I'll follow back.

I'm also on Google+  Jeremiah Nichol

thanks all

This sounds like a great idea. Getting to know each other would strengthen our relations towards Hyper crypto currency and thus make it a better coin for the future. I'm mostly available in Skype during weekdays (typically in the morning in GMT -4 timezone). Google Hangouts would be better, but first I would upgrade my camera for better image resolution. Hope to see more development from Hyper as well in the next days.  Wink

Any hint on when we would be seeing the new CasinoCoin wallet release? Sorry for asking, I'm just excited to start using the new one as it has been a long time since the last version was released. By the way, where could I find a CasinoCoin paper wallet generator? Thanks in advance.  Smiley
11711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: November 21, 2015, 07:19:05 PM
Litecoin and Bitcoin are very alike, although their features vary greatly from their mining algorithm and network hashrate. While Bitcoin is the pioneer of the block chain technology and the king of crypto (or the mother of crypto currencies), it is not bad to have a variety of alt coins to choose from (like Litecoin) as this makes it easier to profit by taking advantage of other coins mining hashrate and price for trading and getting Bitcoin's faster than directly mining BTC. With Litecoin, I could get 1 Bitcoin faster, than directly mining BTC because Litecoin has lower difficulty and network hashrate. Just my opinion. Please correct me if I'm wrong.  Wink
11712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitShares 2.0 on: November 21, 2015, 07:17:29 PM
It has been a while since discussion of Bitshares has been kept quiet. I wonder why, now that this crypto provides an innovative technology, even before Ethereum came to the Frontier release. I like the idea of BitAssets which are pegged to the value of fiat for commodities such as Gold, but I can see that there hasn't been much interest in Bitshares at all. I was waiting for something promising on the new Bitshares 2.0 like better TPS to outmatch Visa, but I guess this was far to become accomplished. Even still, BTS price has gone a lot cheaper than before with no indication of price increase in the next days. Perhaps 2016 would be the year of Bitshares or not?  Smiley

I understand that we poloniex ignored?
What are your suggestions?
Someone in the know?

It takes some time to get added to an exchange. This can be sped up hopefully with more and more people submitting requests to have it added.

Maybe HYPERfuture would be willing to offer them a bounty to have it added faster.

If anyone hasn't done so already please submit a coin add request to Poloniex so that we can show the coin has support from the community.

You have full support from me. I will follow and help the Hyper community with everything I can to see it succeed. I have plenty of techie friends that came interested into crypto currencies, and thus I would recommend them to vote for Hyper to be added into Poloniex exchange. Looking forward to see Hyper go to the moon real soon!  Wink

11715  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: November 21, 2015, 07:02:10 PM
It all depends on your choosing, whenever you like the flexibility of having control of your own money, or to have the ability to earn interest from your savings account, I would like to state that each has their advantages and disadvantages. So until Bitcoin becomes a mainstream currency, it is best to use both a bank account and a Bitcoin wallet. Just my opinion.  Smiley
11716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: November 21, 2015, 07:01:04 PM
Paycoin is just another scam coin for Garza to steal the people's money (as XPY'S slogan is "The People's Money") All failed attempts to make a $20 crypto currency has made many investors (including me) lose a ton of money, because it was all hype. I'm so glad I'm out of this scheme and never coming back unless there would be a total remake of the coin with better innovation. Until now, I will stick to Peercoin which is better.  Smiley

Abiky received 25% penalty for double posting in same threads.

Thanks for the payment. I'm sorry I've made these mistakes when posting. I will try to be more careful next time. Once again, payment was great!  Smiley
11718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: November 21, 2015, 06:47:27 PM
Will Ethereum be able to implement Proof of Stake on Ethers? I think it would be a great idea to stake Ethers (like a bank account which earns you interest) as this would make it more energy efficient than mining them with a GPU. Still there is a lot to be developed on, and maybe in the next 2 to 3 years we would be able to see Ethereum's true potential. This is an excting journey for Ethereum.  Cheesy

Amber has no reason not to reach 20K + sat 1 week from now.

1-No sell pressure ( since shareholders doesnt sell on the market)
2-Price is at 50% of what the company sell their share right now.

This thing is going to fly

I totally agree with you. Price right now has been going up since the last few days, making it go to $0.03 and over today. This is actually pretty good news for Ambercoin as more investors will dive in and this would increase shareholders as well. Just my opinion.  Wink
11720  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2015, 05:20:01 PM
2016 will be the most exciting year for BTC, since 2013.

-We will have the blocksize debate finally resolved.
    -Halving in summer
-Federal reserve pretending to raise rates
-More 0% interest rates in Europe
    -More capital controls for fiat.[/li][/list]

All ways pointing towards bitcoin, so we shall see.

Yes we should see. I don't spect that the price will increase.

But that people will talk more about Bitcoin.

Perhaps when the next halving comes, Bitcoin's price would increase substantially, thus making it an interesting commodity for investors to dive in and reap the rewards. That is just my opinion. I could be wrong, though.  Roll Eyes
