Hi! Anybody noticed that the hashrate drops since the DAG epoch 136 was reached yesterday? My 6x RX 480s rig was mining at 166-167 MH/s (27,7-27,9-28 per card) and now 164-165 MH/s (27,4 MH/s). I'm doing dual mining with v9.6 Claymore miner and set -dcri 28, 27, 26, 25, 24 for test and ETH hashrate not changes. (Config: 1175/2080 at -100mV). Thanks for help!
Yes, we have all noticed for a while now and it will continue to decrease until AMD fixes it with a driver.

Dont worry ethpool is not hacked. Propably those big adresses are some mining services' or big mining farms. Some of them are claymore's devfee adresses. If you have a lot of money you can rent a lot of hashing power.
I have quite a few reasons to be worried. First of all, if those are mining farms, or cloud providers, they would not change wallet addresses so often, and they would have stable hash rate. And about Claymore's devfee, even if all network uses Claymores miner, on net hash of about 71 TH/s and 1% fee, it would be around 700 GH/s. And why this is occurring in just last few days, not before? And why all of them looks the same, with huge variance in hash rate over the time, and with wallet address as worker name? So, i would say that your conclusion is not quite right. Probably just someone buying a bunch of hashpower from nicehash or maybe a bunch of people got hacked and someone is funneling their hashpower.

I wouldnt put all your hash power into this. It is a relatively new coin and has a lot of issues.

Thats' BS, Vega will probably be around 750-800 USD.
I'm shooting at $400. if performance is lower than 1080 then $400 is the maximum it will cost. RX580 is $400 nowdays... RX580 MSRP is not $400 and if RXVega is over $700+ with lower than a regular 1080's performance it will be dead in the water.

It depends on GPU, settings, selected coin, it's price and net diff. For example, for SIA on stock 1070 ccminer shows 1400MH/s. In dual mode in v9.7 I get 650MH/s SIA (so 45% of pure SIA speed) with only 2% ETH lost (about 25.8MH/s instead of 26.4MH/s). DCR speed is not so good, agreed.
After seeing this comment I spent some time today testing my 1070's with different -dcri settings. I wasn't getting anywhere near that SC hash. About 30.6mh/s eth and 309mh/s sia with default -dcri 30. While testing on my main PC, I came to the conclusion that a -dcri 60 was about the best trade off for loss of ETH hash vs. gains of SC hash. I was now getting around 29.5mh/s eth and 660mh/s sia. I moved these new settings to the mining rig and the ETH hash just tanked. Checking around I noticed that the cards wanted to draw more power with this new -dcri setting. The 1070's in my rig are overclocked and the power was decreased. Originally when I set up the rig, I tested the miner with ETH only and found I could get away with 75% power on the cards with no change to hash. Increasing the -dcri seems to require more power. I tried pushing the power to 112% and the hash rates just flew. 29.6mh/s and 693mh/s respectively. Seems like quite a lot more power for that extra SIA hash. Just posting as it's something people might want to consider. TL;DR -dcri 30, 75% power = 30.6mh/s eth, 307mh/s sia -dcri 30, 112% power = 30.9mh/s eth, 309mh/s sia -dcri 60, 75% power = 24.5mh/s eth, 490mh/s sia -dcri 60, 112% power = 29.6mh/s eth, 693mh/s sia Did you try experimenting with core clocks while dual mining? I found 75dcri with a higher core clock for my 1070's gave me higher results for both ETH/SIA at the cost of even more power. In the end I just decided dual mining wasnt worth the added power, heat, and stress along with the 2% eth tax.

Seriously folks. This Claymore v9.7 DOES NOT DUAL MINE Ether+Decred anymore. I followed every instruction and every example found on this post and Internet. Every pool (tried 4 of them now) produces the same error but ONLY for Decred--Eth mines just fine.
Socket was closed remotely (by pool) DCR: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...
This is the command line in my start.bat: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us.ubiqpool.io:8008 -ewal 0x91AaaABDa75b55AFB3CE89f262A648886A445b92 -epsw x -eworker minr3 -dcoin dcr -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal bobsmith.3 -dpsw x -allpools 1
I've tried "stratum+tcp://" in front of the dcrr.suprvnova.cc:3252 but doesn't matter (default is stratum anyway). i've tried 3 different accounts on suprnova, multiple workers/names, and 4 different pool providers -- EVERY time I get the same error from claymore. I tried this on 3 different fully functioning miner rigs running same Claymore v9.7/Windows with same results.
Is anyone actually running DUAL MINING ETHER+DECRED successful right now with v9.7 ??
Never tried dcred, did you start with the basics from suprnovas site? Claymore command for merged ETH + DCR: ethdcrminer64.exe -epool eth.suprnova.cc:5000 -ewal suprnova.1 -epsw x -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal suprnova.1 -dpsw x -allpools 1

Seems like we can agree that the AMD VEGA is overpriced and consumes too much power in comparison to how much hashpower it produces.
Sticking to the 5xx series or waiting for the mining cards seems to be the best choice as of now.
No, Just what is currently out on the market. The Vega Frontier Edition. For its current price it doesn't seem like a good choice. We'll have to wait for RX Vega in a couple of weeks to see how it pans out.

when flashing RX 570, if we have to copy 1500 to 1625, 1750, 2000... do we have to do that on 1 and 2? Meaning.. should we copy 1:1500 to 1:1625, 1:1750, 1:2000 AND 2:1500 to 2:1625, 2:1750, 2:2000 anyone? Copy both, no harm. Thanks.. I have this card https://anorak.tech/t/msi-rx-570-gaming-x-4gb-elpida/10336/2I got 21 MHS on stock.. Overclocking took it to 24.5... I tried to mod bios (tried both 1625 and 1750)... It made no improvement... Still 24.5 after overclock.. Wonder if I am doing something wrong? What is your memory OC? Maybe this card requires 1500 straps. 1150/2000.. I just tried 1500 straps and it bumped the MHS to 27.5.. Can I do any better? Or is that the best to expect on a 570? How do we know which strap to use? Just trial and error? Dont want to brick cards though.. Thank you !! That is probably as good as its going to get with the current DAG decline. I would check to see if you have a lot of Memory Errors with HWinfo64 program though.

You said you are using wattman. Did you make sure to disable crossfire? I would suggest DDU your GPU drivers and just manually installing them under device manager then use MSI afterburner to OC.

Help pls !! I have 6 RX 570 gpus connected to the PC and they all are enabled and seemed to be working fine (Windows 10).. I want to save the bios of the 5th GPU, modify and flash it with ATI Flash.. When I open ATI flash, it only lists the first 3 GPUs.. No way to scroll down to the 5th.. How do i scroll down and save the bios of the 5th and flash it back? I do not want to unplug the other 5 from Mobo and do it.. It will screw up the already configured and working ones.. You should always BIOS flash cards in the primary 16x slot directly connected to the mobo, and should always be done individually before you try connect all the GPU's. never had to do this, I flash my cards in any slot even connected to risers no problem after reboot Never said you had to. Just a precaution to avoid bricking your card with a bad flash.

Vega is ... hot. In stock it takes about 400-450W in dual, 300-350W in ETH-only mode at about 33MH/s. And it's throttling like hell. It's very good in dual mining mode, but it's too hot.
This confirms what MSI executive said that "Vega takes lot of power". Hopefully AIB partners will come up with better cooling solutions. Did you get your hands on a sample vega to test ? Not the FE of course. I don't think better cooling is going to help because of how much power is needed to push these cards. Lets just hope RX Vega is better than Frontier, and of course he didnt get an RX Vega to test lol.

Help pls !! When I try to mine in Windows 10 with 1 RX 470 and 2 RX 570, I get 24 MHS per card after bios mod.. HDMI/monitor is connected to mother board hdmi.. But afterburber will not let me make any change.. Everything is disabled.. If i switch my hdmi connection to one of the cards, Afterburner works and I am able to overclock all cards.. But I only get 27-28 MHS on the card that has HDMI connected.. Remaining 2 cards get 4 MHS .. Any suggestions? I used dvi-d to vga (with 68 ohm resistors) dummy plug on other 2 cards.. But it wouldnt help at all.. Still 4 MHS.. I also tried using Sapphire trixx but it is not applying overclock settings.. And unable to monitor temperature as well.. Very badly need afterburner or some way to overclock and monitor temperature on claymore... Make sure you have crossfire disabled

The DAG epoch issue: it seems AMD fixed it for Vega in drivers and now they are working on Polaris. New drivers will be available soon, may be in two weeks or so.
Thanks for the update. I wonder how many people are going to be kicking themselves for toss their AMD cards because of DAG issues.
