I really don't see the possibility of Bitcoin dying as it has now gained more ground and adoptability than before. But should it die, I believe Blockchain and it's decentralized concept would still survive. This is because the technology as it has evolved today is not just all about Bitcoin alone, and there is a possibility that more greater projects might hook up to it in future. Maybe the global information database might later be on the blockchain too.
I think the system won't die along with bitcoin so it will still be with us. For sure another system will rise and I think it will just apply the rules of decentralisation. I would argue that the cost of bitcoin is understated. In our "information time", everything moves and changes very quickly. We must understand that the blurring of borders between countries occurs not only in the information space, but also in the financial field. The bitcoin market is only the beginning .
The question is "is bitcoin overhyped". NOT is some sort of digital currency a viable thing one day. It would behoove you all to be grounded in reality.. not fantasy. "only the beginning" ? Yes, although you have given it to your nephew still create a back up for yourself so if ever it was accidentally lost you can recover it easily with your back up. Execute what you are thinking, everyone's agreeing with you. This idea is so great and just shows how loving and generous you are to your nephew. But looking at the big picture I don't think that it will be possible now because you just said that your nephew is just 4 yrs old. As you can see that BTC is the largest crypto among all in the market, I just really do not understand why people like to claim that BTC is about to die, do not easily fall for these kinds of topics and think that Bitcoin is dying, put some research on it, its just another person's opinion but again it is misleading. That's true don't always believe in some news that do have any legitimate proof about their saying. It's important that before we say anything we have a proof. Well technically if we're going to talk in terms of lifespan I know that bitcoin has still a lot in its tank left. Knowing the crypto world was the best thing I have ever done. Today I was given an amount of $20000 by my uncle to make an investment for him at the bank so that by the end of the year he can get some additional money added to his capital. I sat down and calculated and found out that, investing at the bank will give him just $2000 interest.
I then called him and explain to him about cryptocurrency and how secured it is with evidences and it price increment for last year. I understand they have not yet banned instead they have set up a committee to look into the regulation and its usage further in the future. We have to wait for clear guidelines from government and many are still doing at their own risk which is upto any individual. I would still wait for a detailed report from the committee and then we can have further more discussions on this topic.
