Wow that is a bug ! Smiley
I simply didn't test if auto option is available when you create new worker.
Thanks for description. I will amend it ASAP.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0coin aka "ZOMBIE Coin" back in Coinotron + new worker type: AUTO on: August 30, 2011, 04:29:42 PM
The Auto option does not show up, all I get are individual coins.

Can you elaborate on this? Where exactly it happens?
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0coin aka "ZOMBIE Coin" back in Coinotron + new worker type: AUTO on: August 30, 2011, 04:12:58 PM
There is small bug in pool. It doesn't harm any rewards or payouts but is confusing.
When rounds are superfast sometimes process which calculates unconfirmed rewards misses them.
So you don't see unconfirmed rewards for these fast rounds. But when block is confirmed, comes second process and calculates confirmed rewards. After that process payouts are being sent.

I'm trying to recreate this bug in delevopment env. and solve it.

And I will try to amend that f...ing bug Smiley

OK. You setup everything correctly.

When you wrote your messages your shares were submitted to these unfortunate rounds. But now blocks are confirmed and payouts are being sent. Please check it out on your profile.

Apologies for the invonvenience.

PS
I’m fighting with this bug  but it is very hard to pin point.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 30, 2011, 12:22:44 PM
Are you having issues with pay outs on i0coins?

I just checked to see how the pool runs at low difficulty and had confirmed payout "processed" I guess since it was confirmed then removed after it hit payout threshold.

The payout however isnt/didnt reach my wallet after nearly 100blocks now.

Payouts are being sent and received without issues. What is your login name at coinotron. Maybe you entered BTC address for payout?

I0Coins are again available.
Current profitability ratio vs BTC = 4 !!!
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoins in Coinotron + new worker type: AUTO on: August 30, 2011, 12:01:41 PM
Currently not. But I'm planning to introduce several versions od AUTO.
Now I'm collecting users ideas like yours. Smiley
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Ixcoin fork -> I0coin on: August 30, 2011, 08:12:54 AM
I have reactivated i0coins in coinotron.

Happy mining !

Brilliant!  I can easily see this being the future if it works well.  Only tricky part is actually exchanging the coins I suppose.

You are correct. For best results quick and automated exchange is essential.
But actually automated exchange is a pain. Currently it could be done only manually. I should have a separate account on exchange site and few times per day perform these actions:

1. Collect all new SC(AUTO) coins
2. Send to exchange website
3. Trade for BTC ( possibly wait for good price )
4. Send back BTC to my special BTC wallet
5. Run batch process to distribute BTC to proper users.

6. Answer all questions regarding not good enough exchange rate Smiley

Good news everyone.

Pool and website are up and running.

All critical data are successfully recovered.

Once again I apologize for all inconveniences.

1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 28, 2011, 02:08:25 AM
Sadly, you are right. If only this hosting company was closer to place where I live I would go there and wreak havoc on them.
But 200 km - my rage is not that strong Smiley

But seriously, there is new server, old wallets and bitcoin client about to finish downloading blocks.
In 1-2 hours pool will be up.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 27, 2011, 07:08:49 AM
Yes still down. And no new info from hosting company.
Fortunately wallets and db backup are safe Smiley

1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 26, 2011, 10:41:21 PM
Still waiting. Sad
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 26, 2011, 05:16:18 PM
Unfortunately RAID must be rebuild in offline mode. Process should end in 3 hours.

Please check out coinotron in 3 hours.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 26, 2011, 04:46:09 PM
Yes it worked until I've run statistics update. Then server slowed down.

They say that RAID is in rebuild mode and that may impact performance.
Actually it is killing performance.
One restart more.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 26, 2011, 04:24:34 PM
OK. Server is up and running !

Lets hope that his new disk will last for a while Smiley

Once again I apologize for the inconvenience.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [75 Gh/s, 0%, LP] COINOTRON, new worker: AUTO + SolidCoins on: August 26, 2011, 02:29:56 PM
I Apologize for outage.
There was disk failure in hosting company. They swap it for new one. But now they report issues with ip addresses.

I'm waiting for info from them.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [30 Gh/s, 0%, LP, BTC, NMC, IXC, I0C, SC] - COINOTRON - new worker type: AUTO on: August 26, 2011, 09:42:27 AM
You could do it by trading the ALT coins on your own, or a different bitparking account and then posting the coins to our coinotron account.

Yes that solution is obvious but has disadvantages. It generates a lot of manual work for pool operator (trading at bitparking, runnung batches, answering all questions relatated to exchange rates. )

Personally I would prefer some kind of automated exchange but since bitparking doesn't provide us with api it is actually not feasible.

Also since we are on the topic of auto switching mining between coins, how about submitting 1 share to each of the mining pools and then sharing in the bounty of all the pools. It could be thought of as a kind of merged mining without the actual need to merge the block chains.

ATM it will not work because client for each blockchain requires different proof of work. As far as I'm know merged mining addresses this issue by changing block acceptance algorithm.

Other simple options I thought would be great to add; could you include in the 'My Account' screen a count of how many coins have been mined in the last 24 hours. That will give us some ideas as to how our mining is actually doing.

I understand that you are taking about coins mined by actually logged in user.
OK. I added this idea to the list of new requirements. Smiley
