I think we should just apply understanding to this king of scenario like the increasing fee on transactions because we all know that the bitcoin is in demand and the network can't sustain it so it needs a lot of miners and the miners also feels the difficult situation which is half block reward (Bitcoin Halving Effect) and the increased mining difficulty so they also needs to make profit and that is thru fees on transactions.
So as per your quote then it will become on one stage that Bitcoin wont be worthy to use for transaction as the transaction fees will eat the bitcoins price. Then bitcoin will be expensive to use it due to high transaction fees. |

The fantastic bitcoin performance is not really a gamble anymore, it has shown that all the people that just hold keep making gains. But holding bitcoins is being classified as investment hence it is not facing the difficulty of unpredictable nature of markets. Unpredictable is a challenge only for traders not for investors, that must be the reason for performances, you have mentioned. Even holding helps to get rid of the challenges of price fluctuations, it will not be a preferable strategy for many traders as most traders are not preferring passive trading. Active trading for a highly fluctuating market finds extra edge when we learn strategies to tackle unpredictable market movements. That is why when you are doing active trading or day trading then you should know the movement and you have to place your buy and sell order in advance itself so that if your price comes you should not miss it without being active on market. Sounds good to me if I save before that year come. Used to use Xapo but they decided to charge sending fees. Now I use Coinbase for microtransactions and for moving BTC in between exchanges. Although the bulk of the BTC is in a paper wallet generated through https://coinb.in/. If I need to use the BTC in the paper wallet, I just use https://coinb.in/ again to broadcast transactions. It's like myetherwallet. So still you are interested in fiat currency type of security for that you are using paper wallet but instead of this you can use electrum desktop wallet which is light weighted and easy to use, you just have to remember passphrase and where ever you want you can install the wallet and use it. In Web wallet address you dont have control on them as if they want any time they can ban you account or anyone can hack or scam you, if you are using coinbase for gambling then it is not recommended as they are banning the account if found using gambling or other illegal activities without informing the account holders. |
