1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who do you think is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 15, 2017, 11:17:08 PM
Why are people so facinated with this? What is the big deal? There is even an altcoin now that is dedicated to finding Satoshi.
So if we find Satoshi then what? How will it help and what's the next move? I guess to interview him? Ask him how his vision if blockchain is living up to the standards he imagined.
1122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for a newbie on: December 15, 2017, 11:14:10 PM
I use bitcoin all the time. I buy and sell Bitcoin for fiat on localbitcoins but I buy much more then I sell because I can use Bitcoin to pay for most things I need from local sites. I trade on different exchanges and like to collect POS coins and I do some light mining with a gaming PC. I mine overnight and when I'm not playing games. Bitcoin is freedom to me. I can spend it as I like without all these horrible unnecessary additional steps banks want you to take. With bitcoin I am in control.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: December 15, 2017, 09:28:12 PM
Most of the people are entering into the world of the gambling with the desire to make the profit. They want to double or triple their initial money they have invested into betting. Every bet represents an opportunity for them. With every fail and every lost bet, they are eager to retrieve lost money and that way they are becoming addicted. Greed is connected with the gambling and it is causing the addiction. Few of the gamblers are entering into casinos only to entertain themselves. Cause of the limitation of their bankroll and accepting their loss this other side can overpass this addiction and truly enjoy the games they play.

True point greed and desire. Most are very greedy and they play to win all or lose all but when desire then it other type someone is playing for fun sometimes or just for joy.
Mosly that type of gamblers make good money and they when they see that they can they become greedy and lose everything.

The nature of addiction is in the mind. So long as you place limits on yourself you will be fine. Then you get to see how others sometimes play and play and play until they lose. Even if the house has a slight advantage when you are dealing with those sort of Numbers eventually you will lose everything.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: December 15, 2017, 09:05:15 PM
Experience isn't really a thing if you are playing games that are highly luck dependent such as roulette , dice or slots game .
But it is imperative if you are playing a card game or sports especially because you'll be needing high analytical logic in order to speculate an accurate result of the games you'll be betting on .

I could not agree with you more on that mate that games that are based on pure luck, it is really hard to win and experience is really not required. However, to games like poker and sportsbetting, experience and skills are essential to have more chances of winning.
Well, even in life there is a factor called luck, for example when you are just walking down the road and you are minding your own business and you just came across money that is just laying there on the ground, and that's called luck and that brings you a chance. So if you have luck by your side, you could be a winner in your games but still you cannot determine how lucky you are, just when you are already there that you'll know if you are lucky or not.

Yes everything in life had a factor of luck and risk. Have you ever heard of the role playing game dungeons and dragons? It uses a system based on luck and everything you do is done through rolling dice and the better you are at something the more your chance to succeed and less to fail just like in real life. Even something like catching a ball has a certain amount of risk that you drop it even if you have caught it 10000x before. It's all maths and the rules of odds and random.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ☠☠☠ Will High Transaction Fees Be The Downfall Of Bitcoin? ☠☠☠ on: December 15, 2017, 11:52:52 AM
It's getting crazy with fees of like $10-$20 I mean I can go out to a restaurant for that. It's like giving away a really nice free meal Everytime you make a transaction. I could get a few of game with that or pay for Netflix or Hulu or something. When you think of it like that it is crazy. I bought shoes the theeday for 0.005btc and paid 0.001 fee that is 20% the I there thing I bought was 0.014 and was 0.0012 fee. That's crazy that's like 8% off a largish transaction. If you not making transactions of over $250 at least then you losing a lot of money.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ? on: December 15, 2017, 05:56:17 AM
I don't have firsthand experience in that matter but my friend who is a big gambler has that problem. He is addicted in gambling in which he have to go to casinos every week and there comes a point in time where he started selling his things just to have money for gambling but before it worsened he got back up in his feet and started realizing just by himself that he is not winning the amount needed to cover up all the losses he have incurred while he is gambling that luck is not on his side that is why he decided not to gamble anymore. I am glad that my friend has change for the better, I am not saying that gambling is bad but losing all your money for it is.
This is common among on those gamblers who did face such consequences because of too much addiction into gambling. People do usually make some realizations when they are already facing hardships on life but well this is common among human that they wont really stop a thing if they didnt face any hardships in their life. Good for your friend that he did able to recover because there are some people which comes to a point on doing suicide because of such debt.

You will never be in trouble if you set proper limits and stick to them. You out x amount away a month or week to gamble and make sure it's additional money you don't mind losing. Never bet or gamble with money you need. Always use additional money that way you can win and enjoy it and if you lose it's ok you try again next week. If you use disopline you can gamble this way and never worry about addiction or financial problems. If someone can't be responsible and set limits then they probably shouldn't be gambling.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin glich on: December 15, 2017, 04:54:35 AM
I am thinking that they more than likely blocked the account because they discovered that glitch that you mentioned. Did they unblock your account afterwards at any point to where you could continue. I am pretty sure their terms and conditions say if there is any error they are not responsible regardless of the reasons.
I am quite sure that support might not unblock his account as they can clearly see he is only utilizing that glitch to win some bitcoin rather than playing with his own bitcoin. Also if OP have reported this glitch to support before trying to rob the casino than they might compensate him/her with some good reward which is not the case here.  Grin

Yes but he said his balance stayed the same so I think they blocked him as a preventive measure just in case. Strange glitch to have. Not good for the casino. Lol yes he should have reported it. They might have rewarded him. I'm sure they are aware if it though since it has happened to other people too.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: December 14, 2017, 04:01:52 PM
Omg. Can't believe how many people says no. Gosh there so many clueless people out there. Do you think in a digital world of social media and online gaming and streaming that we going to use physical money? We ok. Why don't we trade cattle while we at it. Technology is upgrading and so will the way we use money. In a world full of technology and computers you want to use physical money?

We already have been using digital money for a long time. Your bank account is digital. You don't withdraw $250000 in cash to buy a house you pay with a bank deposit which is digital. When you go online and buy games that is digital too.
1129  Economy / Gambling / Re: How many of these sites are legal? on: December 14, 2017, 03:56:50 PM
You deserve it need a license because it's crypto. What do you mean by legal? According to what laws? It depends where the server is hosted and where the domain is. This is why many people living in the USA register and use domains and web hosts outside of the USA so they don't have to worry about all the different laws as much. I think we should rather worry about casinos paying out then any laws broken because I can't see any law worse to break the  casino stealing from you. Not having the right licenses is one thing but a cheating casino is another. Let's focus on one problem at a time.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: December 14, 2017, 03:50:33 PM
The house always wins... Except when it doesn't.... Most of the time the house will win because people don't know when to stop and keep playing until they have nothing left to okay with. Some people who win big stop playing and those are the times the house doesn't win. It's all about the house edge also inow as house advantage.

If you want to make profits rather invest in a casino like Yolodice.
1131  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining pools - can you buy hashpower? on: December 11, 2017, 08:53:04 PM
Try miningrigrentals. You can choose from varies algorithms and decide on the duration to rent for as well as choose a miner with the hashrate you are looking for. It it usually not for long term rent but it works very well for short rents and I use it sometimes. You should try using it sometime and see if it is what you want.
1132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bets are being taken on which next major retailer will accept BTC by end of 2018 on: December 10, 2017, 02:11:54 PM
For any of these places to accept Bitcoin you will first need to get over this high transaction fee nonesense.

I have heard a lot of rumors that Amazon will be accepting Bitcoin in the future. Anyone else hear this? Any truth to it? what do you think?

Talk f Amazon accepting bitcoin has been going on for a long time. It is still not confirmed yet. Instead Amazon should rather have it's own coin. I think this will only happen when Bitcoin gees more stead and altcoins have become more established.

Good to see more places supporting altcoins. I'm good to see that. I like the motto you have "make a bet make a bit" very catchy. ^^

I clicked on "My Round" section and did not see my games in a few days ago. So when I play with auto bet mode, how can I find my game history? You should add more functions to your site, this is bad bustabit version.

Hey give the guy a chance you know. Rome wasn't built in a day and bustabit is well established you can't compare the two.
It's a good start but I think they need some special promotions for people who shoe interest in this thread. It will hopefully get the thread more active and bumping.
1134  Economy / Gambling / Re: How many of these sites are legal? on: December 10, 2017, 11:46:25 AM
Well firstly you must ask yourself what makes a casino legal? You do not need a license for crypto currency casinos since bitcoin is not recognized as an official currency therefore there no laws about it. Some call this a loophole. It is not a loophole it is simply the law and how it works. Just as well for crypto casino owners since licenses are very expensive. Also there is high anonymous activity on crypto casinos and so they don't have to worry about underage gamblers nor can they get into trouble for having underage gamblers because they not supposed to he gambling and you take an agreement before you okay that says you are if legal age for your duristriction.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple way to earn Bitcoins through Gambling and Casino games. on: December 10, 2017, 05:45:12 AM
I think if you earn whatever you feel is enough, depending on what you started with that you should think about stopping or slightly top up for spending money then stop and keep the rest. It's a good idea to invest your winnings as well, no matter if it's with a casino investing in their bankroll or through trading crypto it's always a good idea to keep some aside. Though winning alot can take some time so you must decide if you want to risk ruining it all or not in an attempt to get more. Now that bitcoin is soaring big wins will be worth a pretty penny. Or rather a chunk of gold. Wink
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You want to be a millionaire? if you own 0.01 btc you already are on: December 09, 2017, 11:41:19 AM
If bitcoin goes up to 100 million how will fees work? $3000 to send $2000 ?? If you not rich by then how are you going to pay for the transactions? I think we need to start slowly lowering the minig fees because I think the way it works is the average miner fee is dependent on the average fee paid by us, so the miners don't control the fees at all. So really it should be like 5000 Satoshi to may a small transaction but because people keep insisting on these high fees the miners just ignore or only get back to your transaction if no there no more transactions of better value. If everyone lowered their fees it would be much cheaper because the average would drop. Paying for miner fees is kind of like a currency in itself. The currency is the miner fee you pay. Right now that miner fee is worth a lot. So it's basically an auction and the highest bidders have their transactions handled first.
1137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: December 09, 2017, 11:34:12 AM
Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

People need to start spending Bitcoin like it was meant to be. Saving it is ok but exchanging it to fiat too often is not the point. The point is we should be spendibg bitcoin directly on things.

I don't think holding your bitcoins is greedy. I think selling them off too quickly is greedy. Though sometimes you can be too patient but that is more with altcoins then with bitcoin.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC removed from steam for high fees on: December 09, 2017, 11:29:12 AM

btc is becoming pain for small transaction
Exactly, thats why i used alt.

BTC is more like asset, rather then a currency to be used daily.
aint nobody want to pay coffe worth 5 usd and pay the fee with higher price
Quote
ETH is the best currency as transaction is done quickly
almost true but im not 100% agree, i mean this several days transaction eth have almost 18k pending transactiion daily.

Haven't head about Steam removing BTC as a payment method but it was expected with such high fees. As you've said, ain't nobody going to pay for something of low value when the fees cost more than the product. BTC is becoming more like an asset, it's unprofitable to use it daily.

Yes steam is removing btc as payment and you really can't blame them. People are not using btc properly. I got into Bitcoin because I thought it was cool and fun and so easy to be able to pay online like this. I use Bitcoin to buy things often. The problem is too many people see it as an asset rather then s currency. I see it as both.

I also agree with the other guy. Using eth and tokens is the way to go for smaller transactions. Places that accept bitcoin should start accepting other coins or tokens too.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoin can be the "money" in your daily life? on: December 09, 2017, 11:10:43 AM
I spend Bitcoin on most other things excluding food and things like that. All my technology stuff and some clothes and shoes I can buy with btc. I buy games with btc too I use to use steam but now I buy steam gift vouchers with btc instead.

Soon more and more places will accept Bitcoin. It will be nice to walk into a shop and use Bitcoin for the first time or to spend it on perishables. Right now we can only buy from online shops. I bought some shoes I am waiting for it to be delivered and I also ordered a ledger nano s and paid with bitcoins. Smiley
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: December 09, 2017, 02:37:41 AM
I have never met anyone who has been against bitcoin. I don't know how you can be against a currency. Most people are interested in it but they won't actually go further then that. They will talk about it with you and be interested and ask questions but won't really buy any. There are some that do. Some of the more clever and bald ones will get involved with Bitcoin. Most people are afraid of things. Most people are afraid to invest in anything never mind Bitcoin. It's how the previous generation grew up and that is also why you see mostly younger people enjoying bitcoin.
