1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance may acquire the Coinmarketcap by 400 Million USD! on: April 01, 2020, 04:29:13 PM

I don't think it's a good move, why buy something when you can set up your own, there are scripts similar to Coinmarketcap and they can beat Coinmarketcap with their own games because they have a community that will follow anything they recommend, in fact, they can do better than all Coinmarketcap competitors, they are living in a word,
Quote
if you can beat it buy it.

Have asked myself over again, why would an exchange have interest in coinmarketcap if there is nothing mischievous involved. At a time CMC was a check on exchanges and coins now it will be in the hands the subject (Binance leading exchange). This is heading no where and will loss the value of CMC after sale drastically.

Losing value is always a rampant situation and not just CMC encountered that thing nowadays. Many coins went so disappointing to see, that's why we need to look close on each possible coins to recover so fast regardless on how it's marketcap will tend to behave randomly. We don't know yet what will happen to binance, don't celebrate too early.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: March 31, 2020, 11:57:01 PM
i think most of the gambling business that has survive today are online casinos, because workers may be permit to work at home
while having their connection via vpn , and the company stay afloat during this crisis, it is also safe because players are also at home
and they don't need physical contact, with other people like handling cards, or holding any material that has contact with other people
also money are online.

The survival capability of all online based virtual casino has been tested for several economic crisis eversince. This has brought up a strong foundation on all business that always took control of their end. Digital age is always having an advantage as to compare with physical type of gambling. Also with other purpose, it do have a positive outcome as long as we're able to adapt this kind of cryptocurrency.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 28, 2020, 11:47:55 PM
In short, is the martingale strategy in betting in such gambling games such as roulette and dice do really is effective strategy? For example, what if you are winning, and every time you win, you double your bets, and basically apply the martingale strategy, which is to double your bet when you lose.

Would that make a huge impact to your funds? I haven't tried it so far, but for me, I don't that is really effective as if we lose, we aren't really going to win right after, because there is still a possibility of losing once again.

This is always a reoccurring problem when you desired to bet over and over again, and there's no assurance for us to take that lucky shots. It will always remain so unpredictable and even you're doubling up your bets to take any potential wins, that will no guarantee 100% outcome. Better think for fair results instead of seeking serious actions towards gambling in order to win successfully.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk has been blocked in Russia because of Gambling advertisement on: March 26, 2020, 08:46:58 AM

strange that they block a crypto forum all because there were gambling ads. they could just bann the gambling sites since online gambling is illegal to them. a message could be banning cryptocurrency  Grin

Indeed. I think that the ads is not the reason why the blacklisted the forum.
In the end, they could just block the cryptocurrency ads not banning the whole forum.
Cryptocurrencies are what they do not want...

Banning the forum is not a good decision by them. I know there are many Russians here on the forum. They will not be liking this decision. I am sure you can still access the forum through VPN if you are in Russia. Anyone who is in Russia can tell us the exact situation.

This really affected a lot of users since gambling is in demand for several betting sites. Russian residents is the huge part of gambling industry whether it's physical or virtual type. Accessing through vpn can be inefficient at all, because the security of the country is very strict and they're aware that through this kind of portal called to be illegal access due to certain restrictions.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: March 24, 2020, 11:54:40 PM
I have seen users who use USDTs in times like this that volatility is very frequent so that they can invest with a stable currency.
The reason to set aside money for gambling is a good method.
I also think about how the Casinos are closed, gambling online will be a good option. However, we must play with caution due to the instability of the crypto price.
The reasons are varied for not using the volatile altcoins for gambling but stable coin idea is going to save the person from the price fluctuation. The unstable prices have a high level price fluctuation in USD but this volatility can increase the fiat equivalent at the end or vice versa. I can't see any difference using the stable crypto assets in crypto casino websites or fiat in normal gambling platforms except anonymity.

That always depends on the preference of each user whose able to sustain on the long span of time while enjoying gambling. What I see here is that using bitcoin for the purpose of virtual gambling, is the most in demand in terms of cryptocurrency adoption. Other alternative coins was only the least priority for everybody, so it's very important to determine on which betting games you are picking up.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 23, 2020, 12:55:02 AM
I am trying to enjoy my time at home with my family. We watch television about the spreads of the virus and the total number of people infected. Playing a game on the computer will be the way to kill the boredom, and sometimes we use money as the fun thing, and that money is for the winner. That helps us to make the game more excited. The money will make us play better to win the games and get the money.

I remember when I was a teenager, sometimes I bet with my friends about something, and I think many people already did that. That is gambling because of the money involved with what we did.

The involvement of money towards gambling always made it a very interesting way about betting. Without the presence of it doesn't makes any sense at all, because people usually seeks a luck opportunity from gambling just to gain lucky profit as well. However, some folks wanted to say and change every mindset that it was only for fun but in reality it's really a money making mindset.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 20, 2020, 11:04:40 PM
Now that almost all sporting events all over the world are cancelled, those wanting bet of sports events are left with having to find alternatives. What are the majority doing?

Are some giving up and trying to become reformed gamblers?

Are some gambling on casinos instead?

What are alternatives most sports betting users are now switching to?

I guess most of them are gambling on online casinos. They are just playing dice, slots or other games that they find interesting. Though yeah, its actually a prime time for them to reform their gambling habits and if they are addicted, stop for good.
I guess there are simulated sports games out there that they can place bets on. They are probably playing over there  Roll Eyes.

Sports gambling will be difficult since the activities linked with it was halted. The online results of each game is very important in order to gather data as well. This is very important for sports gambling, but due to corona virus pandemic we should comply those certain precautionary measures.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 18, 2020, 10:58:35 PM
Im sure that many answers here are different from others. Most of the gamblers have tendency to be addicted cause we can compared it to cigarette once a taste of sensation was achieved you cant get out easily especially it involves money. Everything related to it surely can be sort of problem and conflict to one's attitude. I can consider myself lucky that Im not so into it but I admit Ive lost many times than the times I won on gambling. The key here is control, and if that one gone on your system then you can hardly stop the addiction.

We all have each differences which can't be controlled easily, and every answers doesn't mean we're going to force then to abide with our own ideas. Stopping addiction can't be done in short timeline, because that really needs to be done seriously. Many factors involved needs to be corrected first before every circumstances will be settled down. So, in order to prevent any sorts of addiction we must be educate ourselves financially and avoid gambling in an extreme frequency.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 18, 2020, 02:27:37 AM
I this hardest situation that we're facing right this times, we shouldn't take for granted all those possibilities that were going to encounter randomly. Regardless of life status whether you're rich or poor, crisis will affect everybody's daily task and activities. How much more when you're a gambler who usually do socializing with people at local places where there's gambling around us.
Refraining from this habit is the best that I can do for now, and many options will be done like using the internet as a form of another digital pleasures.
Online virtual gambling will always be recommended in order to control ourselves towards real life gambling.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO and Betting on: March 16, 2020, 11:28:37 PM
I am sure you guys are aware that most of the tournaments are now being played Online. Many of the noted teams like NaVi, Cloud9 and Tier2 teams play bad Online as compared to their actual LAN performance. Do you think this will cause any ups-downs in the actual result of the matches? Also, I wonder how will Astralis play Online as I am not sure if i have seen any of their match being played Online before in 2019-20.
Well, playing in online tournament and playing in LAN or practice game are really different thing, the pressure is really different, I am once played on LOL tournament on our barangay and it is really different feeling when playing LAN in playing in the tournament because there are so many people that are watching you, but if you played so many times in online tournament there will be no nervous anymore on you. You will just need to be comfortable while playing because nervous will change the way you play.

Playing online tournament is really good for everyone, some online games are already included in e-sports game because in online games, we are not only playing, we are using our skills and minds that will strengthen the way we think.

When you participated in LOL tournaments, was there a noticeable difference in technical issues ( Internet speed, ping) when playing live on stage and when playing on LAN?

Pretty sure that's the most concerns of all online players particular on different parts of the asian countries. E-sports wouldn't be a problem when there's no sudden fluctuations of internet speed, but that's a worst situations with respect to latency issues. What's very alarming and unfair is that players couldn't get much real time when they're living at the country with unstable internet connectivity.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 12, 2020, 11:03:28 AM
For me I prefer both gambling physically and gambling online using crypto because at my first time in gambling I use to play on physical gambling in which I am just playing and gambling through casinos and underground casinos but right now I prefer also the online gambling because here has less hassle in which I can just play or gambling through my mobile phones or online casino and etc.

Gambling on virtual betting games will always be an advantage ways in dealing pressures, and I believed you won't get addicted compared with physical one. Online betting can be done with small capitals and you won't be forced same with physical gambling games. The comfort it provides to us will always be a fun thing as well as potential lucky winnings.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the terms you decide on which casino to play? on: March 11, 2020, 06:41:18 PM
Hi guys!

As we all know there are over 1000 online casinos to choose from. It's not an easy task. Or is it?

What do take into account picking the right one to play in?

Just the great games and rewards? Or do you go deeper and check the license, reputation, reviews, etc?
And even if these are all OK, what makes you decide this specific one?

I don't care for any legitimacy of a gambling site that I played, because I don't have huge funds involved with them. What I only looked for was the features that they had actually. Maybe if I am getting huge funds on it, I should get some tight information from them. Reputation is very important as an assurance for your money invested on trusted gambling sites.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 10, 2020, 10:31:32 PM
In several threads in the gambling section, I noticed "Newbie" accounts that try to slander the name of the gambling website in any possible way.
Some often sounds very trustworthy - they certainly have experience.
Do you also think that competitors pays for slandering?

I think it's their ways of promoting newly established gambling sites, that why having trustworthy thoughts had been circulating all over the forum. That might sounded strange when we don't have interest on some of those gambling sites. However, if someone slanders here I guess it's beyond our control because everyone can pay enough money just to make their gambling site popular.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 09, 2020, 10:40:41 PM
maybe one of the main reason why this thread has been made is because to know the effect of the go with 19 to the gambling world which is the purpose is to be careful and everytime we are playing or gambling because there are different ways on how to spread covered 19 just like for example if you are dumpling are playing in a casino then probably you are having a physical contact with other person who is playing with you or gambling with you and there's a negative effect of it to the gambling world because if this happens the casino will be the one who will prevent this kind of situation.
The purpose if this thread how physical gambling site will help in the spread of COVID19 not covered 19 and how online crypto gambling site will be the best alternative for gamblers because the information provided by the centers of disease control and prevention stated that the virus can be through respiratory moistures produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes and have skin contact with an infected person.

Better switch on virtual gambling instead of doing physical activities on with betting on gambling. We should avoid those places that are prone with contact on other person presence. It must be a serious matter involved with the possibilities to acquire this kind of disease as well.
1135  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: UPDATED : List of Potential Tradable Bounty Campaign . on: March 07, 2020, 11:27:37 PM

1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum very volatile on: March 07, 2020, 11:03:51 PM
ETH has shown over a long time that it is quite volatile, ETH can be invested for trading as well as for the long term because ETH can grow very much in a short time.

Shorter time isn't guaranteed that it would bring us a sustainable profit because bear market still influenced many traders, particular with the holders. Volatile market on cryptocurrency is a default behavior, and this present for so many years since the existence of bitcoin. In handling our asset, we must see to it that the rules of supply and demand will be followed.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Coronavirus never happened on: March 07, 2020, 10:36:50 PM
In my own opinion, it didn't made any effect hence, if it does then it should be going up, why? if these investors, business man, or other people in business sees that the stock market is crashing just like in news, they will find a way to make their money safe, and one best thing that I can see, is to put some into crypto, it maybe volatile but if you put it in safe coins like btc or even usdt then there should be no problem.

Diverting on crypto is the last resort for every investors, because they have the mindset that crypto won't be affected by economic crisis in connection with virus epidemic. Fiat economy can't handle pressures like specially when huge part of the world's business supply has been affected with the recent problems. If we never encounter that problem, I think both crypto and fiat circulation will still grow progressively.
1138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: March 07, 2020, 02:30:33 PM
Is there any chance that decentralized exchange will stand up..?
This is the simple answer:
decentralized is a little difficult to use, while centralized is easy to use. I think this is the only reason for which there is not much volume.
You know how important the user interface is

It will only be a difficult thing for decentralized exchange if you don't have enough knowledge over the system it has. User interface can be familiarize as long as you're willing to learn without any hassle. That's why you have to see to it that your asset is listed on any of those sites, because if there's no other  exchange catering this type of services.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you tried explaining provable fairness to old-school gamblers? on: March 06, 2020, 11:49:02 PM
It's easy to tell other gamblers but the hardest part is to convince them. They might not trust this kind of technology easily because they think and look first of its legitimacy. And we know that scam is everywhere on the internet. They also think that they will be playing with a robot that is being manipulated. So they still stick to choose to play with other real gamblers in front of them

That's disappointing to hear words like beinf manipulated using bots, and it made me lose trust over these gambling stablishments. Online gambling usually is prone of this kind of unfair system, and personally I am preferring real world gambler who played fairly in physical betting.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Super useful telegram channel !!! on: March 06, 2020, 11:14:45 PM
When I have account in telegram there are many trading signal channel. I remember one time I followed their signals and didn't notice I was just left behind didn't able to sell early the coins to make profit. From that time I have never joined this kind of channel, as much as I could I'll do on my own analysis when it comes to trading coins.

Relying on different channels might ruin your perspective towards a good and trusted project of crypto. If you're not dependent only on telegram channels updates, you won't miss those chances if you're having a regular monitoring using only blockfolio privately. On that strategy, you'll eventually see updates once you check your mobile device daily.
