1121  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: August 27, 2017, 05:48:27 AM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!

Not just cents. The thing that makes a difference is how much you have or invest when you hold. Of course if you invest cents, you will gain cents. But if you try and invest thousands, you wil get thousands of profit as well. That is how investing works not just in bitcoins but in all things that people invest in. The thing is, you can also lose thousands. But any wise man will tell you that no risks no gold. But you have to choose the risks you take and weigh it all many times. Like if the profit you may get is higher than the risks or worthy of the risks you have to take.
1122  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: From where i should start. on: August 27, 2017, 05:29:13 AM
Hello all,
I am new here and want to know that from where i should start learning about this forum and bitcoin?
Thanks

H there pal! Welcome to the bitcointalk forum!!
If you want to learn there are many ways, and if not, there are many alibis.
But if you want to learn. I suggest you to go and read the rules first before anything else to avoid any misconducts and violations of rules in this forum. Always search first using the search box or google before asking questions just to make sure your inquiry/inquiries has not been asked or answered before. Lastly, be more eager to learn than to earn. Knowledge is more valuable than any currency in this world, because with it, you can be a better person and money will be the one that follows you. Educating people about crypto currencies is the main purpose of this forum anyways so better take advantage of the chance to learn and earning in the process.

Again, welcome to this forum op, hope you enjoy your stay.
Goodluck. Smiley
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Money on: August 27, 2017, 04:53:51 AM
Some people just participate in the bounties and wait for few years. they don't sell their bounty rewards for low fiat reward. Ironically those people become FIAT millionaires. Cheesy
Thx for bounties! Good jewelry.

Well, that's good for them. If they really have the latience to hold the coins they recieve. But the sad thing is that most of people that join these types of bounties are mostly impatient people that sell their earnings as soon as they recieve the coins. They don't even care about how great the coin's potential really is as long as they get their fiat or can convert it to a coin that they love. I think that is the difference between a successful bounty hunter and a loser.
1124  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: August 27, 2017, 04:43:11 AM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

Most people only see money and not potential. That is why they close their minds to uncommon things which lead to them having regrets. Good for them.

Well, it is possible that a lot are quitting jobs and prefer to focus on bitcoining. Because they see the potential of bitcoin. The thought of being rich without doing so much work or having a boss is a pretty good dream and can obviously get someone on a high and addicted to the thought. While i agree that this is possible, I do not think it is a smart thing to quit your job so you can focus on bitcoining. Bitcoin itself is not a sure thing. Anything can happen in the world of crypto. A better thing to do is choose both and have time management. So that if one fails, you still have the other. FYI! It is not forbidden nor illegal to choose both! Don't be stupid.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk Currency on: August 27, 2017, 04:34:55 AM
It is worth investing in Lisk?

Why not?? I actually think you should, i see a lot of potential in terms of usage and profit with this coin. A lot of people are investing and i think you should too. If i had sht to invest, I would've invested already. (Sucks to be me) but i suggest you wait a bit longer when the price drops so that you can buy it in a much more cheaper price so you can really gain some profit. Hope this helps. Goodluck op, cheers.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parents disagree with MMO – Make Money Online and Bitcoin ? on: August 27, 2017, 04:04:19 AM
My parent , especially my mom , she always tell me to stop doing bitcoin otherwise i will go to jail or doing bad things to social ! I don't get it ! Old generation seem very lack of experience in Bitcoin ! Why they keep telling us to stop when they even don't know how to check a simple email on ebay ! How to explain them guys ?

It is because parents just love their children too much, they may be wrong sometimes or express their love the wrong way, but in the end, the reason for everything they do is purely love for their sons and daughters. And maybe your mom saw too much news about people getting caught doing scams on the internet. That is why, she is warning you on what you are doing because she cares for you. But that is just because she doesn't understand what you are doing yet and earning money by just sitting and looking at a computer seems a bit too good to be true for her because maybe she hasn't encountered someone who did it in her younger years to this day. So i think you have to understand you mother and be patient in explaining everything to her. You are lucky to still have her by your side caring for you. Remember that your mom is more valuable than anything in this world so do not take what she does as a bad thing, instead appreciate it and be thankful that she is still there caring for you and explain what you do slowly that she can understand it perfectly.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash paper wallet? Where to get one on: August 27, 2017, 03:55:54 AM
Hi..Does anyone know of a paper wallet generator for Bitcoin cash?

I think you can probably use the one for butcoin. Because Bitcoin cash came from bitcoin. People got free bitcoin cash on their wallets that had bitcoins so theoretically, they have almost the same codes. Because bitcoin cash is something that i see as a copy of bitcoin in a sense. Either way, the block chain of bitcoin and bitcoin cash can both know how much balance you have without any problems. But just use different addresses for both to be sure.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why compare BTC to USD? on: August 27, 2017, 03:45:41 AM
When people talk about Bitcoin price, they usually refer to its price expressed in dollars. I really don't understand why...

US Dollar is going down in price, US economy is collapsing. There are many other countries which has more Bitcoin users, like Russia, China, Japan, Philippines and the whole Eurozone. Even ICOs are forbidden in the USA. It's not a so Bitcoin-friendly country, its national currency is not so strong. So why price Bitcoin in $?

There could be many other more appropriate currencies like EUR, CNY or RUB...

You obviously don't know that much about how every country sees every currency. Because just fyi, some countries do use their fiat to put a price on bitcoin or other things. China is an example. But really depends on the person if he wants to refer to his own fiat for the price of btc.

But to answer your question., i think maybe it is because of the way dollars have shown its stability for the longest time. Plus it has great influence in terms of economic things. Plus it has already proven its superiority over other counties for a lot of years now. So even if a lot of fiat has become better than dollars, people prefer referring prices to dollar because it has been what they got used to. Generations of being used to something is pretty hard to change.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: August 27, 2017, 03:22:08 AM
What are some the more idiotic and stupid mistakes that you know you shouldn't have made but did anyway. Yes this includes other none gambling stuff like sending btc to the wrong address. I'm interested to find out the stupid things other people do.  Roll Eyes

Being a gambler ain't that smart either. But hey, who am I to say such a thing, gamblers just want to pass time and have fun or relieve stress. So ok back to topic., i really haven't made such stupid things in gambling because i never did gamble i just don't want to because i see it as nothing but a waste of time and energy. Also, in sending btc, no stupid things done. YET! Because i haven't tried sending bitcoins yet because i only have satoshis haha.
1130  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favourite country? on: August 27, 2017, 03:14:07 AM
Well, all the places(countries) in this world have their own beauty. I don't think anyone should think that any country is better or more superior than the other. People should change that kind of mindset. For i see that Every country has their own share of good and bad qualities. They all have rich cultures, different delicacies, traditions and historical things we should respect. I mean, it's true that I love my country more than anything else, and you should too. But my point is we are all equal. And so are these different countries that we're in.
1131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Homunculus? Ohh God.. on: August 26, 2017, 06:26:39 PM
Guys have you ever watched this stuff? Cheesy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YmLWnQGZhQ&t

I have just finished watching the video. And i gotta say, this is a pretty amazing experiment. Quite disturbing but still amazing. And it actually moved! It was alive! Would've been awesome if he hadn't killed it and focused the camera on it so we could see what he could. But as amazing as it is, i think we humans should not experiment on things like thses. I mean, not with evolution. Because it takes time and the way it takes time has a reason unknown to men. We must let nature do its job and not mess with it. I think there will be more problems than solutions if this experiments continue and actually make a living creature. And if it ever becomes venomous, destructive, or carrier of a new type of virus or decease unknown to man., we'll be doomed.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: August 26, 2017, 06:06:04 PM

Perhaps not exactly "trading", but it just might be one of the shortest time frame investments you'll ever make.  Wink

How about a portfolio competition?

Using today’s price to establish opening position cost basis, the following portfolio has a minimum target of $100,000 (if everything goes wrong) and a maximum (still conservative) target of $1,000,000. (Explaining the reasons why goes beyond the scope of this friendly competition.)

Litecoin (LTC) – 50%
BitShares (BTS) – 10%
STEEM (STEEM) – 10%
Syscoin (SYS) – 10%
Nxt (NXT) – 10%
PIVX (PIVX) – 5%
NEM (XEM) – 5%

We’ll see how it does. Wish me luck!

Full Disclosure: I currently hold many of these issues as “long term” investments (but not all at this exact time since I’m still looking for a better entry on one in particular), and could purchase or sell any, at any time, and/or trade short term as well, with the weighting for this “model” portfolio being somewhat different from my own, where, for example, I am currently overweight LTC, BTS and PIVX.

Wow, that's a pretty hard challenge you have for yourself now mate! Haha
Pretty hard but not impossible. You just have to be lucky and skilled enough to be able to hold and sell for the right times. You are very brave. Succeed or fail., you have my respect. I wish you all the luck in the world. And hope that you reach your goal.

Please do update this post on every progress you make.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite altcoins for this year? on: August 26, 2017, 05:57:46 PM
Your favorite altcoins to hold for 2017 and why?

Well, my choices of altcoins to hold this year are bitcoin cash, etherium, and monero. Because i can see just so much potentail when i look at all these alternative coins. And i personally think that they can really become very valuable coins in the future. I even consider holding them for about two years or more because i rust in them and i am confident that they will really give me a lot of profit in the years to come.
1134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: August 26, 2017, 05:52:48 PM
As you can see in the subject, what is your opinion on a recreational use of drugs? So far I've noticed that guys that do drugs like mdma, ecstasy, cocaine, weed(if you consider it a drug, I don't tho) are lowlifes that are in the setting of "Let's get wasted, party and then do some more drugs" and nothing else but they always look at themselves as something higher than the others.

What is your opinion on that and is it the same at your place?

Also...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7rXlbHtcqM

Heck, I don't even care who you are, where you are from, your color or  whatsoever. If you abuse drugs, you are nothing but trash here in this world. A piece of sht. Because we all know what high people do when they get of the high and cant get more to continue the high. I know everyone should be given a chance to change. But some are just way too far and are just impossible. That is why i hate drug abusers. Because, no matter what life throws at you, you should be smart enough to know that drug abuse doesn't solve anything. Instead, it gives you more problems. Having said all these, if my son got addicted to drugs, i would be the first one to put him in jail. Id rather have him in prison than cause trouble to other people or influence other kids to do drugs as well. He'd be better of as a man in prison than a man in a coffin. Because we all know sooner or later drug abusers will either go to prison or cemetery.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: August 26, 2017, 05:42:26 PM
Just want know how much the gamblers who use analysis when play gambling and what kinds of gambling game? And do you think it is needed or not making analysis on gambling game or it is depend on lucky. Thanks for share your opinions and experience.

Undeniably, a lot of people who really love the thought of gambling has been doing this since the dawn of gambling. Specially those who have been gambling for many years. But this skill is only useable for gamblings that are placed in limited types of sports and things like car racing, horse racing, basketball games, volleyball, billiards, boxing(and any other fighting sports), soccer, etc. almost everything that has match making. Even on famous online games on the internet(dota 2 is an example). A gambler needs both luck and great analysis on certain levels when it comes to gambling. Because if a gambler lacks of one or both., he'll probably be a loser in gambling.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the NSA caught Satoshi Nakamoto on: August 26, 2017, 05:32:42 PM
I am not sure this is an authentic way of finding someone or not but I found this interesting.

"By taking Satoshi’s texts and finding the 50 most common words, the NSA was able to break down his text into 5,000-word chunks and analyse each to find the frequency of those 50 words."

* How the NSA caught Satoshi Nakamoto.

I am very sceptical about this kind of research/investigation. What's your take on this? Do you think we can find out real Satoshi with such method?

This is so undeniably false that it is actually being hilarious. Lol.
Damn dude! I can't even count how many people have claimed that they have found a way to find satoshi and that they actually have found him! Haha. That way of finding someone is really unreliable. I mean, we all know how famous satoshi is, for sure a lot would be copying him in every way possible! Some would even leave possible clues leading to them just to make it seem like they are satoshi. hahahha. But ok, lets just say no one wants to copy him or be him., dont you think out of billions of people here on earth no one would have same patterns in typing or expressing thoughts? That is just impossible. But okay, let's say satoshi expresses himself like an alien. Don't you think he'd try to blend in with other people to erase any leads that people may find to know who he really is or where he's at??

Why not just let the guy be, he doesn't want to be found, sheesh. I don't understand why people can't respect other people's love for privacy. Gawd! These type of people should go and get a life and start doing thing more that are more productive than this. Lol
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Florincoin. The monster you haven't heard of. Time to buy. on: August 26, 2017, 05:14:44 PM
Wow! I gotta say, this thing is pretty awesome! I see great potential here! How can i get a hold of this coin?? Are there any online wallets available to store the coins on? I would really want to have as much as i can of this coin. I can see it soaring to the sky sooner or later. I will be holding long term when i get some. That's for sure.
1138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: August 26, 2017, 05:08:46 PM
"Suddenly, Bitcoin to Be Officially Legal in India"
posted Jule 20, 2017
https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

Bitcoin exchanges in India have been able to operate but they have been self-regulating using strict Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering measures https://veratad.com/solutions/identity-verification/ in place. These areas will now fall under government regulation.

Funny side note--a member of the parliament in India likened Bitcoin to a Ponzi scheme as recently as March of this year. Pretty wild.
"In a letter to the Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank of India, Somaiya explained that Bitcoin is a pyramid Ponzi-type scheme. However, Somaiya was criticized for his inability to understand the structural and fundamental difference between a Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin."

Wow. That really is good news plus that somaiya person lol. Hahahahaha
But really, it is nice to have anoter country legalize bitcoins in their place because it means more countries accepting bitcoins, means people using bitcoins. And if more people use bitcoins, then more will be willing to buy and this will really increase demand and we all know what happen when it does.. yes! That's right pal! More increase in the market's price! That would be great for all the people out there who are sticking with bitcoins.
1139  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinizy Bitcoin Debit VCC Stay Away - Money Vanished - Waiting on Refund on: August 26, 2017, 04:44:21 PM
Transferred my BTC to Coinizy wallet not the best option since fees were ridic - charge 5% of the deposit amount and use the unfavorable Kraken USD/BTC rate, plus charge .50, & monthly management fee of $1.00 USD to create a virtual card.

Deposited: 0.76831069 BTC got in return in my coinizy wallet a shocking $860USD.

Loaded the Coinizy vcc card for 850.50 and had the merchant try the card multiple times - DECLINED every single time.
Contacted Westcrest Holding Limited the issuing card service bank that can only be contacted via email since their customer support numbers involve only automated machines. After about 2 weeks Westcrest responded admitting that they declined all the transactions.
How useless, what's the purpose of having a nonworking vcc card with your money virtually held and frozen with no ability to extract.

Contacted Coinizy, support has been very difficult as well, a response has taken weeks (no live support, email does not take 24hrs for a response as stated on the site). After several emails on my part, the owner finally responded and decided that he would give back my bitcoins and will provide a full refund including all fees as requested. I provided coinizy with my wallet addy for my refund - it's been a couple of days, still haven't heard back. Upon checking my coinizy account again noticed the $850.50 USD from the VCC was transferred over to the owner, my wallet balance has been emptied out. My balance in my coinizy wallet is ZERO and my VCC card was emptied out with a load of ZERO. Huh

I don't know if anyone has had a similar experience with coinizy? But from my experience I do not recommend and don't really trust, support takes forever, seems shady - scam alert potential. And worst of all my money/BTC disappeared, still waiting for my refund!

Wow, that's kind of a big problem you have there op. Although i feel you, I don't wanna go and choose sides when I don't know what really happened it would've been nice if you waited a little longer before saying such things that can destroy a business's reputation. But I understand your situation. No one would ever want to lose their money that they worked hard for. I wish one of the coinizy people would see this and response here so we can hear their side and know if they are doing anything to attend to your concern or not. Because losing hard earned money is pretty devasting to the victim who worked hard to earn it.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: August 26, 2017, 04:36:05 PM
For me, Bitcoin has many advantages, one advantage is it gives to the individual money to sustain the basic needs, It also reduce the increasing number of unemployed in some countries, The people who work in bitcoin develops the ability to reason out, enhanced the English proficiency, that's the some advantage of bitcoin.

While i agree with you, i have an addition, bitcoins are also good for storage purposes when things go crappy with fiat. Also, it can reach the whole world and it doesn't require a degree to be able to get a hold of it. Because anyone who are willing to learn and are hard working, they can have bitcoins. And let's not forget that it increases in value with time. Now that's more than enough advantages right there. But wait, there's more! The most important things you can get using bitcoins. it releases you from the syatem. Yes, it does. It gives you anonymity to an extent for it doesn't require much information in transactions. No one can say how much you have or how rich you are unless you want them to know. It gets those eyes of the banks and governments off your shoulders! It is the future! It is what we need to become more free than ever.! This is bitcoin. Expect more.
