I think this one may be one to use. It will adjust down to 9.5v at 36A. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Power-Supply-Adj-Volts-9-5-Up-To-15-VDC-36A-12-03-/371222321916? Have not had to use these PSU's since I got rid of the USB miners. But the undervolting of the S5 is why I bought one to try and may replace all my S3's with it.

Righto, thanks. I doubt anyone goes out of their way to trust my opinions, but I really like Bitmain gear (for disclosure, I own about 15 undervolted S1, run an S2 Kit and an S3) and I can't recommend the S5 until I trust a few things have been taken care of. It'd be really nice to have gotten ahold of one of those evaluation units, but then a thousand other people could say the same thing.

the big fear is will behave like Asic Miner"s tube or prisma.

I owned both of them and both   had current/heat runaway problems. very hard to keep stable.

Once I get the test module I can

A) undervolt it with 1 psu.

B) over volt it with another psu.

C) volt it perfectly with a high quality psu.

D) sent 11 volts to one board and 13 volts to the other board. using 2 different psu's

E)Set a low freq

F) set a high freq

G) add the higher quality silverstone fan for cooling

The s-1 and s-3's I have had were all good or very good. 1 dead ethernet and all else good out of 30-35 units.

I have read problems on the s-2 the s-4 the c-1 but I never had one of them to test

Thank you Sidehack and Philipma1957 as I respect both of your opinions. I did order one S5 from batch 2 to try and will be interested in your testing. I also would like to know what PSU you use to undervolt the miner.

Error 1002 Ray ID:

This is the message I get when I try to goto the pool's website. What is up with this?

I would say game over...

EDIT: Admin's miners, which was not much hash, went off the pool a couple of days ago. Now the pool is down. Nolimtz84 it looks like you wasted your time mining all those shares.

The PPLNS takes a long time to wind up here to penalize pool hoppers.  Stay with it, it'll catch up.  Took me a while to catch up too, but now I'm at full payout.

Woohoo!  The above was my first legendary post! Smiley

Sorry but if your having to ask these questions you have no business thinking about it.
Why would anyone say that  Huh

I would think anybody that was serious would have not been to lazy, to at first take a couple of hours and look at the forum for the answers to such questions...
(It also seems these forums are not "friendly" to 0% fee PPS pools)

My partner has been into Bitcoins for almost 2 years. Not a currently a member here as he is pretty forum-shy.

We were speaking last night about setting up a Bitcoin Pool with a 0% Fee. Has this already been done? He mostly mines altcoins now due to having a GPU Rig.

Our only problem is, Would people use it? Would YOU use it? What sort of Pool would be best? PPS/PPLNS?

We are both major fans of the Bitcoin Cryptocurrency and want to give something back to the community.

Overhash are you x123 on the mining pool?

They are off to a good start.... Why would anybody even mine here?

No our name is "Admin" on the pool, also we know the low hashrate ~15TH/s is a bit off putting but every pool has to start somewhere right?

Also we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you all have a good holiday/festive season!

Well you didn't stay mining long on your own pool.
1155  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4000 TH] CKPool (www.kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 24, 2014, 03:06:32 AM
if put as bitcoin adress
adress of coinbase
will be a problem or not

for payment? Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh
I use a Coinbase address to have my payments sent to. Also have a different address and labeled for each pool so I know which pool the payment came from when it shows up on the list.
1156  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin is collapsing! Sell your ASICs NOW while you still can! on: December 22, 2014, 10:55:29 AM
Although there has been a decline in BTC value, the future is not as predictable as you make it seem. I sold 3 BFL units in the last 3 days. Who buys BFL units? People looking to start get into mining. Everyday people read and learn and become captivated. Unfortunately, there are many out there who believed that a BTC should have been worth $1100USD all the time. This is not the case. Its dropped down and its sitting flat line. If it retains its current value, ASIC machine will retain value until new tech comes out.

The more I look into BTC the more I am seeing become useable. More people online now accepting BTC as payment. Hell if my boss decided to pay me 3btc per week for work, I'd take it. It needs to become readily available. Anything as new as BTC will still seem extremely foreign to non tech savvy people.

One day electronic currency will completely replace fiat currency. I'm not talking about tap and go with your mobile phones, I'm talking systems like we see in place here. If you could tap n go with your BTC for a meal during your lunch break, it would be great. As long as it remains a decentralized and can't be 'taxed' and 'regulated' by governments then this is something that will be around for a very long time.

I just stayed at a Hotel that I made reservations online thru Expedia and was able to pay for it using BTC. It was very fast and easy to use.

I am going to hang around and mine here from time to time and trust that we get paid.

Ya but no pay unless you find a block and so your pretty much solo mining?? But good luck to you.

Yeah we're over 2PH at the moment ... not sure for how long but anyway Smiley
Edit: OK it's quite variable - we'll see where it ends up ... it was 2PH for the past hour but it's now dropping again.

I was just going to ask you what was going on, we were 2.2 ph for awhile there. Antminer was even back for awhile.
Yeah I only woke up shortly before my post - he's rearranging his setup - it may be a little while yet until it's all sorted.

is lightsword dropping in and out?
Seems it was temporary.

Another pool that sells out your hash dropped my miners earlier so I bet the same thing happened to him and his miner most likely failed over back to this pool. Prices are dropping fast and I would think a lot of miners will be moving back to BTC mining pools soon.
