Anyone else getting a low hash rate?  I'm using 3 hp server psus on 120v, 800w each.  All of my chips show 0, but my average hashrate is just over 3tb.

seems 2 mins of run time is hardly enough time to check hash rate.... also Bitmain said to make sure you power up the boards first then the controller.
202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: September 27, 2015, 09:55:51 AM

i 100% agree.. the s7 is too large for a home miner.. you have to get special outlets if you already dont have 30 amp or 220 outlets. takes 2 high end or one large expensive power supply.
you would be lucky if you break even on cost before the block halfs.. if you dont you might not ever.. its not like the price of btc will double overnight..

bitmain should have made smaller home miners, maybe one of the s7 hash boards. i would have replaced my s3s with one of those.

A normal 20amp 110v circuit will work fine to power one miner. You only need a 220v if you use a 220v PSU most are just using a couple 110v PSU's or a larger 110v PSU.

This is Bitcoin forums you need to be asking that questions in the alt coin froums
Since the activities on those forums are quite low and this is not my primary intention to mine Litecoins, that's why I preferred asking here Wink

I understand, but that is not how the forums work as per the rules. That is why a mod moved it.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there ... ??? on: September 24, 2015, 04:35:06 PM
Is there any profitable script miners for mining Litecoins ? I mean, just like Bitmain's Antminer S5, S7 are the most profitable miners right now in the bitcoin industry, likewise is there any such script miners out there having profitable hash-rates?

What's the latest order date to have shipped so far?

Was thinking about opening a new thread where we can copy the post and add our order/pay date to, so we can maybe get a idea where they are on shipping dates?

Also wondering if the lower hash rate they have showing up is another reason that the batch 1 sells were stopped until they get a handle on it.

Makes me wonder if they had multiple batches on making miners since some did not get this.

Agreed.  Either way... I'm happy to get new gear.  I certainly have not received such an email.  I placed my order on September 9th.  They may have it worked out [Back to 4.86 TH/s] by the time they get to fulfilling my order.

My order/pay date (8th) is 1 day ahead of yours dmwardjr and I also have not received this notice. I also went back and see that Bitmain didn't do what they have done in the past when reporting the expected hash rate and use the +/- 10% or a 4.66 miner would still be within the range of the miners the email says they have left. with so far only 1 person reporting this email I wonder if it authentic or not?

that why i post here for asking the truth .. not because i am newbie make me not authntic.

Not you but I question if the email you received is really from Bitmain.

can you easily redirect internatioonal UPS package to a local UPS store? thanks

i don't want to sit around afraid to leave the house. One time I took a brief shower and UPS truck missed me-had to go to the warehouse to get it on the same day

I redirect mine to the local UPS Store and that way I just stop by on my way home and can sign for it and not miss it. The UPS store told me last time they were not happy about the fact that they get nothing for doing this. They use to charge $5 for the service but UPS will not allow them to charge it anymore.

Just got an update on my shipping that was to be dilivered on Wednesday.  Here is the update:

09/22/2015   8:22 A.M.   A valid ID # (tax, personal, deferment) required for clearance is missing. We're working to obtain this information.
09/22/2015   8:21 A.M.   The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.

I hope this is not going to be a delay.

Give them a call and make sure to provide them any information they are missing ASAP.
Happened to me twice with KNC Jupiters and Spondoolies systems.
Caused a few days in delay and ended up costing me a few bitcoins in profit Sad

Thank you so much!!!  They are in KY and said that all they needed was my tax id or ssn.  I gave it to them and they said that they would release it.  Whew!  Thanks Again!!

I am just curious why UPS would need your SSN or tax id #. In the past they never asked for that information for my S3 to C1 shipments. My S7s are coming on the 24th, so far no hold up.

Same here, all my miners from Bitmain came UPS thru the KY hub and never had a person ask anything like that either?

That is good news. I just thought in the past when others had problems like this the clearing agency was in China but I must have been mistaken. Did you have them shipped UPS or FedEx?

I can confirm that they ship orders according to who got their payment confirmed first.
I ordered on first day, payment confirmed 06.09. I guess I got screwed by this, lesson learned.

I ordered on Sept 8th so it will be interesting in seeing how much longer mine ships after yours.

That does not sound good. I would say it's delayed and sounds like it has not left China yet?

Well I am now marked shipped.  Yes thats right.  SO THEY MAY stop sales for a bit.

My still shows unshipped but I ordered well after you and timed it with the bump in BTC price. So with the coupon I paid @7.32 shipped and can wait a few more days with no problem.

I noticed the S7 miner is now showing "SOLD OUT" on Bitmain. Wondering if that means they are getting them ready to ship and if after that if there will be a price change? That way with a few days or a week in-between shipping batch one and any price change it will keep us in batch one from complaining?

Today is the 20th  anyone with a shipping notice?

Nothing here yet
216  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (or so we thought) on: September 17, 2015, 09:18:12 PM
Yes.

Should probably stop bumping this scam in case anyone else gets shafted  Wink

But I think your right on both as I see the pool loss 2 active users and pool hash rate is .55 PH/s so I guess it may very well be him renting.
217  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (or so we thought) on: September 17, 2015, 06:04:26 PM
Not me, been there and tried that before ....just stating facts

S0br/gil's rentals just ran out with no blocks found - back down to 0.15Ph again..... Wink

You sure the pool just didn't have a problem when you looked as it's showing 3PH/s and 46 active users and 175 miners
218  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (or so we thought) on: September 17, 2015, 08:46:32 AM

2.8 now.. but lobogil has most of the hash, he might as well be solo mining..

That's s0br mining with rentals on his own. I don't think anyone is daft enough to mine here now - too many have been scammed/unpaid.

Hate to say but it show 40+ miners mining and doubt they are all s0br... not sure why anybody else would be mining there at all?? pool is at 3.1PH/s

Feel free to join in then - good luck getting paid......

I bought two s7's using money on a credit card (converted to BTC) but it has low APR and I get points for using it.. coupled with free electricity I should be alright.  The only reason I can see taking out an actual "loan" for gear would be starting a large farm and needing capital.. but youd have to start off pretty big

I could borrow 7500 for 6 months 0 interest. I could order 4 s-7's

Interest is only part of it...we dont know what the difficulty is going to do or if the rigs will ROI. Me and you Phil being retired have less at risk but someone hoping to make enough to pay off that CC have a lot at risk.  But a interest free loan is always good when you got the money to pay off the loan when your ready.

I disagree if taking a loan out for large farm is right it should be the same for a small miner as well....
