The Brooklyn Nets haven't started well into the league this year, either. To be honest Memphis is a good team, Ja Morant and Bane's performance was pretty good. I think it's one of the best playing teams of the year. But the Brooklyn Nets also have a pretty good roster. Despite this, I think it's a bit sad that they are losing the match, actually Irving and Durant are playing very well, but these performances are not enough to win the match  Both stars are really performing but the chemistries around still not reflecting for the entire squad, Even Kyrie and KD will score a lot if the defense and the support for other role players to help ain't their Nets will continue to lose games. Now with regards to the Pelicans, I said that they are the "dark horse" of the league right now and that is the team to watch out in my opinion. Will they reach the playoffs? Yes, they will. How high they can get in the playoffs? I think they can go as high as Conference Semi-Finals only. They are too young, and their roster is too inexperienced when it comes to the playoffs, and we know how experience affects the performance of the team during the playoffs. They are a promising team yes but to win the title is too exaggerated at least for me but I will be surprised if they might take it all and be the WCF champions.
They'll be very tough to beat this season, they have a good defense and they have great players that could penetrate inside. Zion, Ingram, and Jonas V., these guys are hard to stop, plus they also have some shooters and great defenders, so it's not gonna be easy. Let us not forget that the best team last season which was the Suns were having a hard time beating a zion less Pelicans, now that they are complete, things will be different. 4/15 shooting for Westbrook. He is considered one of the players that will help Lebron get W's, but this is how he is playing. So unreliable if you will ask me. Forget about making shots or his shooting percentage. He's suppose to play smart as a point guard but look at how he didn't run the clock in the final seconds of the game while they are leading by 1 point. 24 seconds shot clock but he took a jumper with 18 seconds left. There was nobody positioned to take an offensive rebound. It's not only a bad shooting night for him. It's also bad decision making. Noticing that worse mistake while both your stars are trying to do everything to secure the win, I mean, both LeBron and Davis are really trying to win this game in front of Lakers fans, but that shot coming from Westbrook, is something that he should think twice, better to give the ball to LeBron and allow him to decide instead of taking that shot without anyone inside to fight for the offensive rebound. |

Hawks are looking like my dark horse candidate to shock people this year, they are actually looking pretty decent, they have good players in all right places and could shock the world by having 50+ wins and going deep in playoffs this year if they are lucky.
Actually, Atlanta Hawks already made a noise when they were able to enter the playoffs last 2020-21 after 3 seasons of not making it always the playoffs. To add to that, they even reached the Conference Finals that year but just lose to the Milwaukee Bucks. Although the following year, they experienced a first-round exit, it shows that Atlanta Hawks is an improved team now. I think that Damion Lee was the secret hero of the Suns - Mavericks game despite having only 11 points. Because he played a big role in the win by his contributions to his team in the last moments. He scored important points and his defending Luka Doncic in the last seconds was also important.
He was huge in that game but defensively he cannot stop Luka, let's not overreact though, it's just only one game, he had some big contributions but we are looking for some consistency here, I just like how his teammates trusted him, he should be happy to with his new team now. Dallas up by 21 points I guess, they gave up that big win, typical Dallas, still hasn't change. It was a good debut for Lee, he was given decent minutes to play and he really contributed well on his offense, rotation wise Suns brings everyone on the floor so for Lee having that exposure and the trust from both coaches and his teammates will add confidence to this former warrior bench player. If he can earn that kind of trust, we might see more coming from him, talent wise, he really got something to show up. What a game between Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons and it's really good to see these rookies putting up huge numbers in their NBA debut.
Banchero puts up 27 pts. played some good defense. But Bogdanovic and the 2 rookies Ivey(19pts) and Duren (14pts & 11reb) and the whole Pistons squad are just too much for them.
I wanna see the Pistons in the playoffs picture again. Orlando Magic started strong but Detroit Pistons came back stronger. I avoided betting for Detroit whom I thought of earlier as the New York Knicks. Maybe it was a good call then but I think Detroit lost the spreads here. Anyways, I am starting this new season with a 0-2 start. Could've been 0-3 if I included Miami Heat. A good start for the new twin towers in the NBA although not that great. I lost my -10.5 because I thought it was going to become a blowout. KAT and Edwards seemed a bit lost while it was Gobert and D'Angelo running the offense. Another disaster was when the Denver Nuggets got clobbered by the supposed rebuilding team Utah Jazz. Utah Jazz seems to have a decent line-up with no superstar. I was shocked with the outcome of that game, Jazz vs Denver. Thinking that Denver was rallying in the last quarter as Jokic and Murray are both doing the damage, taking over in trying to close the game. but it was the three-point shots that really gives the Jazz that win, no known stars for now but the type of chemistries that they are showing seems that the rebuilding can still let them to move to the next round, too early to say but if they will keep doing that same type of game then the chance is good for this new form squad. |

As usual, it's still Curry who leads the team, tonight he made 33 points, and it looks effortless on his part. The ball movement of the Warriors is very much remarkable, it's the same Warriors that are good at dominating their opponent, and even if Lebron is their opponent, it doesn't matter, they are always there to dominate whoever they are playing with. Wiseman already played, that would give them better defense as this guy can make defense and can also produce offense, so this season, expect a more improve Warriors team. Great to see James Wiseman back and healthy. I expect the Warriors to win. I think the Lakers didn't perform badly at all, especially since this is their first game this season. It's just that GSW has the better overall line-up. This Lakers line-up can probably enter the playoffs but is far from championship level. The game between the Celtics and 76ers was another exciting one. I'm happy James Harden is feeling good and he seems back to his old game. Embiid should limit his 3 points attempts. I believe they will improve more in their next games. Kudos to the Celtics, great win and a great start for Brogdon and their interim coach Joe Mazulla. This team is still tough to beat even without Oduka. It seems that they are very confident with their new coach, of course Oduka will surely be missed by Joe Mazulla is handling the pressure so that is good sign and for sure the management is happy that they have elevated his to interim coach and perhaps a full coach when he continue to bring that W. For Harden, yeah, it seems that he still has some bounce and that killer crossover is still present. He just need to shoot the ball better. So it's really going to be a very exciting new season with so many team upgrade their roster. Just bring the win and continue to play with the system. Boston's management will be happy with this kind of performance. The two young stars really played well carrying the team. They are against with a heavyweight squad but they managed to protect the home court. I like how both JT's make a statement with that huge performance in this opening game. No doubt that Harden still has that crossover and he's now getting the rhythm back, looking to attack and shot the ball something that is really classic with him. |
