As usual, it's still Curry who leads the team, tonight he made 33 points, and it looks effortless on his part.

The ball movement of the Warriors is very much remarkable, it's the same Warriors that are good at dominating their opponent, and even if Lebron is their opponent, it doesn't matter, they are always there to dominate whoever they are playing with. Wiseman already played, that would give them better defense as this guy can make defense and can also produce offense, so this season, expect a more improve Warriors team.

Great to see James Wiseman back and healthy. I expect the Warriors to win. I think the Lakers didn't perform badly at all, especially since this is their first game this season. It's just that GSW has the better overall line-up. This Lakers line-up can probably enter the playoffs but is far from championship level.

The game between the Celtics and 76ers was another exciting one. I'm happy James Harden is feeling good and he seems back to his old game. Embiid should limit his 3 points attempts. I believe they will improve more in their next games. Kudos to the Celtics, great win and a great start for Brogdon and their interim coach Joe Mazulla. This team is still tough to beat even without Oduka.

It seems that they are very confident with their new coach, of course Oduka will surely be missed by Joe Mazulla is handling the pressure so that is good sign and for sure the management is happy that they have elevated his to interim coach and perhaps a full coach when he continue to bring that W.

For Harden, yeah, it seems that he still has some bounce and that killer crossover is still present. He just need to shoot the ball better. So it's really going to be a very exciting new season with so many team upgrade their roster.

Just bring the win and continue to play with the system. Boston's management will be happy with this kind of performance.

The two young stars really played well carrying the team. They are against with a heavyweight squad but they managed to protect the home court. I like how both JT's make a statement with that huge performance in this opening game. No doubt that Harden still has that crossover and he's now getting the rhythm back, looking to attack and shot the ball something that is really classic with him.

Yeah, maybe Westbrook is not taking the game seriously and is very lethargic or it's that he is really not on his prime. We've seen this performance as well last year and we thought that this is just pre season game and we should give them the benefit of the doubt. However, as it turns out, that first sign that something is not right with the Lakers trickle over the regular season game and them missing the playoff and having one of their worst season since Lebron join LA.

Moving forward, it will be great to see a healthy AD, as he can provide good numbers from time to time.

Anyway, this is just their first game and I'm sure they will learn a lot from here and will continue to improve their way of playing. They really need to fix their defense and the way they move the ball seems not to be the best way in the league with their new teammates, it is really expected to see them not get along at first but they will gonna find their way throughout the season and let's just hope to see them stay healthy, especially for Lebron James and AD cause they are expected to easily get to the NBA playoffs this season.

I am not sure, but I think Harden is leaner this time compared to last season. That might contribute to him getting back his old game. He should be able to contribute better as the season progresses. It is just the first game of the season.

I am sure they will be happy to trade him IF they can find a team that is willing to take up the humongous contract that Westbrook has. Unfortunately, no team wanted to have Westbrook right now. So, they just have to wait until his contract expires. It is the last season of Westbrook, and he will be UFA next season. He still has recent contributions to the Lakers, 19-3-11 is still good. Maybe not be proportionate to his contract but still a good contribution considering he is not the first or second option in the team.

Very well said, at the moment, Poole is more valuable than Draymond Green because he can produce points for the team, and the fact that he is still young, that means he will continue to develop his talent until he becomes a legit superstar. People were saying that Poole looks like the young Steph Curry, so if he will live to that expectation, what we are seeing on Poole is that he will become a hall of famer someday.

Its undeniable that Poole has a bright future since looking at what he can produce to Warriors is really promising points and for sure he is superstar caliber but for discussing to be a hall of famer? Maybe he need to get MVP first or surpass many records before that to happen.

But also Green is huge lose for Warriors if he officially let him go so most provably they might struggle on defensive and on screening which is important to let their shooters create their shoots. Maybe we can see a different Warriors if Green is out on the rooster.

Poole is included in the next generation roster of the Warriors and he is one of the few current players that will continue to bring name and hype to the franchise that is why the Warriors didn't took their time to decide about Poole's extension, just like what they did to Wiggins.

And as far as reality is concerned, I bet Green is not a part of their picture in like 2 years from now. What I didn't understand is that why aren't they trying to find Green's replacement because they already knew his situation in the years to come.

Kemba Walker is waived by the Detroit Pistons today?
This is really shocking because the used to be playing like a star in his early career as an NBA player but injuries got him good. It seems like the league really wanted to spend on healthy players nowadays instead to gamble on unstable players that might gonna cost them millions of dollars in mistake if they are not careful. Do you guys think that despite his size, he can still be a role player for some teams in the league?

It is understandable. Availability is the best ability as they always say. It is hard to bet on someone who gets easily injured and will not be able to play. Even if you have the best skills if you cannot play games, then it is a waste of money and roster slots. Just take AD or Zion, they can be the best but most of the time they are sitting on the bench because of injury.
Kemba Walker can still be a role player in some teams, I think. But he should not be expecting large contract. Maybe a year in veterans' contract is good. It is still better than not having anything at all.

As far as I know, the Pistons will get 9.2 million dollars (Walker's salary) and he is also going to be free to join any team. But I have also heard that no team is showing interest in this player right now. And I think it obviously comes down to the reason that @yazher showed. He started his career well, but injuries prevented him from performing at his top level and sustaining the same level of success.

Honestly, I haven't heard of any team interested in him so far. For me, it will be interesting to see how long he remains as a free agent. In addition, I have not heard anything from Charlotte either, but that could be an option for him as well, probably the best window open for him.

They only won one game but it was during the preseason with the Warriors too but I think it's different this time since it's the regular season. Too early to say such stuff, there are many ways for improvement and looks like their main players contribution aren't that bad too. They really need that ball rotation just like what the Warriors did on the game, the ball movements are impressive, they are still an exciting team to watch even with that recent discord between Green and Poole.

Lakers have too many point guards. Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Kendrick Nunn, Patrick Beverley and Austin Reaves, that's five or one of every three players in Los Angeles Lakers are point guards. They are also not great at playmaking. Lebron James will come out as the only player with great play making abilities. Kendrick Nunn is a good player but he will be sharing his playing time with the other point guards and shooting guards. Personally, I am not too confident to tell that this team will easily get into the playoffs.

Pretty good for the first game, as you can see GSW is still the best team in the league. This year, they showed how great a candidate they are to become the champion. But I think the Lakers' game was not bad at all, they allowed us to watch a good game

Honestly, I watched this video a couple of times, and I get the impression that Smart flopped unnaturally far. So I guess Smart just overacted at that moment, besides he threw up his hands at the end, expecting some kind of reaction from the ref. Whatever it was, I agree that Harden's move was good, and it would have looked even more impressive if he had scored that shot.

Let's see. It's just the first game and they are up against the Warriors who are the defending champions. I always want to assess one newly created roster after 10-20 games playing against different teams.

That is where the conflict is.
They are looking for a better offer. They may really want to trade him but no teams can offer too much in exchange for him. The risk is too high and the trend created by the fans against Westbrook has effects on managements who are seeking star players.
What you said is also what Reggie Miller said. His skills and performance are still intact, especially at the time when the Lakers have no one to run to, there's just so much happening around that made him look bad.
And to add, he played 78 freaking games last season.

Excited about opening night! My Chicago Bulls versus the Miami heat should be pretty entertaining. I’m still just so pissed off about the whole Alonzo Ball situation. I just don’t understand why he didn’t get surgery sooner. I guess it can take some time to let things play out, but man missing him is just such a massive blow to the team.

Not saying they have a chance even with him in the lineup,  but I want everyone healthy so we can see how good the bulls truly are.

Unfortunately, the 76ers haven't won the game earlier, the Celtics is undeniable overwhelming. You can really see that even without Ime Udoka, they can still control the game and possibly the outcome because of the experience they obtained in the recent season. One thing for the Celtics though, they still lack a bit of consistency because they are still giving the 76ers to bounce back. Anyway, this is just a start and we will know some improvement or failure along the road.
