1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to calculate the bottom of Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2019, 01:45:35 PM
if anyone could reliably calculate the bottom price of bitcoin, he would have been very rich
bitcoin price is formed in accordance to a demand/supply model and its price is what people are willing to pay for it at the moment
mining profitability will be adjusted when the price goes down , the miners with high electricity costs and expenses stop their miners
diffculty goes down , hence increasing profitability for the remaining miners  and its a self regulated area
to connect the bottom price to mining profitablity or to 51% attack cost is simply wrong
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice ** 50 LTC Wager Contest Running ** on: March 09, 2019, 11:16:30 AM
I don't think, that site was closed as intentionally exit scam. More likely lazyness, delaying, hoping/expecting instead real planning/actions and poor support killed site in same way, as same people killed Zoomdice year ago.
Players were already talking about that last few months. Support wasn't answering there for days, withdrawals delayed a lot too...
Let's hope for best Smiley

oh , were the same group of people behind zoomdice ?
explains a lot of things , haha
well to me it doesn't matter if they exit scammed or just could not give a damn to login to admin panel and  disable deposits and warn their users
the end result is same : people have money with them that they cannot get back , imagine you having half a bitcoin stuck there ?
lets hope for best but prepare for worst
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPlay.io — unlicensed, simplistic, struggling | casino rating: 2.5/5 stars on: March 09, 2019, 10:15:41 AM
this is more like anti-advertising rather than review Smiley
you cannot call a casino simplistic , unlicensed and struggling , award it 2.5/5 score and expect anyone to be willing to play there
is it your site?  https://www.bestbitcoinslots.com ? creating a topic for each casino reviewed and then posting links to the review site itself is a great idea ,
but not sure it will fly with the moderators here
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win one bitcoin on: March 08, 2019, 09:01:40 PM
Quote
The cost of one square is 0.005 Bitcoins.

In the website it says "0.002" which is the real one. Quite a cool concept tho , Its like one of my childhood memory where you pay for a ticket similar to this. Except you get a chick as a prize. Anyway, how does the draw works ? Should all the 0-999 slots be filled first before you draw your winner ?

All right On the site the correct description Wink

The first week the cost of the square is 0.002 BTC. The second week is 0.003 BTC. The third week is 0.004 BTC.

One Week ? I doubt that very much . It'll take a few months to sell all 1,000 cells . or even more time .

it will take forever to sell anything , simply because the price of a square is too much , the house edge is atrociously high and the number of squares is too much as well
if they tweaked the square price vs first prize or had several different ones with different price plans, so to say
they could have had some shot at success with proper marketing
thousand squares means they will have to get at least several hundreds different players willing to spend 8-20$
and that is is one player buys several squres and then wait ...wait ... wait ....
why do all that if he can just deposit 10$ and bet 1/1000 chance on a dice or a plinko provably fair game with instant result and 1% house edge?

1165  Economy / Gambling / Re: Innovative Gambling - Cosmobit.org - 110% Refund - Provably Fair on: March 08, 2019, 06:20:21 PM
I believed the OP planned was to promote scam or scam people of this forum because he created two thread the same day he register his acccount on here, he's never online ever since he opened the thread and this what I also find out the Cos**bit site. I will advice every body not to make any deposit.

who in his right mind would deposit anything here is beyond me
this game is supposed to be free to play , where you can earn some dust by spending time in game
pretty sure I saw it advertised some other forums and PTC as well
not sure if it is a scam or just a poorly designed faucet type game , it is not advisable to waste time on it

the best performing asset by far - gold ,silver and everything else are smoking nervously nearby
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice ** 50 LTC Wager Contest Running ** on: March 08, 2019, 01:05:16 PM
Long maintenance without official announcement from GoUp.bet team here, and there is no re-open day planned for the site.
I think that GoUp.bet platform got serious issues with its ownership, or something like this.
Ownership of the site changed or the team left.

Since the site is closed from 3 months(showing maintenance notice) we can conclude that they are doing some major upgrades or they don't have enough bankroll to fund the players.
Since they don't have any scam accusations, we cannot conclude that whether they just took any investor's money and ran away.
Op too is inactive here for a long,  so we should not expect the version 2 of the site and can leave this thread to die.

I don't know what happened actually and what maintenance they are doing. But site isn't offline from 3 months. It is showing under maintenance maybe from 10-15 days ago. Withdrawals were manual and taking long time to proceed by admin there. But before they went for maintenance I heared that they have paid out all users and mod said site will back fully again after maintenance. Don't know now where they are and what they doing, and when GoUp.bet will be back!

i had balances in bitcoin and litecoin. i am down 26 litecoins and some bitcoin from betting but was hoping i could play with or get my remaining balances to play on other sites. the amount was not small. so i am hoping they still have the funds

if you tried to contact the admin and he/they hasn't responded
I suggest you open a scam accusation topic here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0/
no matter how much you had on your balance , it is your money and you should have been paid in full before the site is closed
this is the main problem with the new betting sites, no matter how good they seem from the beginning, there is always a risk of them pulling an exit scam
1168  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐻 WinniePool | 🥇Unique HASHRATE GAMBLING Pool for Solo Miners | BTC on: March 08, 2019, 12:14:30 PM
I still think the "idea" is amazing, don't get me wrong there are a ton of things to detail out and there are a ton of things that needs to be talked with the users and the company itself but the idea behind this is amazing. There could be some new additions or removals from the features, there could be better design and marketing and so forth and basically it could be planned out a lot better and hire a bunch of people to do both marketing for this and improve it at the same time but in the end this is an idea that could get a whole lot of attention.

It is just not executed properly just yet but if the owners really go for it and continue existing for a long time I can see this place get bigger and bigger overtime, this is not the type of idea that will be super known in a day, this is the type of idea that will be amazing in 3-4 years time.

this idea is neither amazing, nor new
I don't understand what ideas to be talked with the company or users here, its a straight up mining pool with a chance to hit jackpot if you find a block
which is highly unlikely , especially given the size of this pool
the number of enthusiasts willing to , literally , donate their hashing power won't be big , hence decreasing the already low chances to hit anything

I'm not into gambling just drop by to show my support on this Casino playing site if this is a gambling site that I am proud to promote it is Bitvest there are so many complaints about other gambling sites but Bitvest is the fairest and trusted of them all.
It is amazing to get avatar of Bitvest in the topic.
The static avatar, I meant.
Recently, theymos disable Animated avatars, so who want to wear animated ones after that will not be able to do it effectively.

it is not that amazing to get Bitvest's avatar in  a Bitvest's topic  Cheesy
Bitvest runs a signature campaign both for Bitvest and its sister site 777 , so there are alot of people wearing it and posting
I think you are wrong ,my avatar is animated allright
and you should change yours to the one from this topic:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088858
unless I'm missing something and the new rules are being enforced by Theymos
1170  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitdouble.io |social gambling game |Prov fair | 0.005 mBit faucet | New PVP game on: March 08, 2019, 10:56:06 AM
It is a good site with good games but its amount of commission for retirement is almost high

did you mean withdrawal fees?
yes, it is slightly higher than usual and also withdrawals can take some time
think they are manual still , haven't had an opportunity  to withdraw anything lately
other than that- great site, fun chat , excellent promotions

That a heck of luck for sure, or maybe it came from the rain inside the chatroom maybe another winning gamblers provide some rain,

Yeah, there is countless of ways of getting it, a rain, a trivia, Discord giveaway,  Telegram... but whatever, the important is the guy got more than 2 BTC from 100 satoshis. I would try to do it myself later, maybe not 2 BTC, but I'm happy with 0.1 BTC Cheesy

https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAFDhazV_wVKQ9BMNKA

Do we only have to join the channel to be eligible to win or there are some other requirements involved that need to be fulfilled in order to win?

yes , it says the prize ( 250$) wil be split between 100 random users who joined the channel
so its going to be 2.5$ prizes for 100 random people chosen randomly on a ... random basis
there are just over 300 participants with 2 more days to go , so 1:3 chances to win just for joining a channel I think is a good deal
hope the entries will be checked for multiaccounts too  Wink
p.s. Stake is down on my end

has any risk loving soul deposited , bet on sports and tried to withdraw?
not a huge fan of the new sportsbooks , it can suddenly ask you for KYC on your 0.01 btc withdrawal or disappear altogether  Roll Eyes
maybe offer some bonuses or run  promotions so people could try your site and leave feedback ?
1174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Never use Coinbase wallet's private key back up feature on: March 05, 2019, 05:31:22 PM
well I hope this is common knowledge to never back up your private keys anywhere that can be accessed by other people
it being your pc and notepad file or a cloud storage, doesn't matter
you are just asking to get your money stolen , but Coinbase should not have offered such a service first place
never used their services , especially since they do not like their wallets to be used to transfer funds to gambling sites
but this gives me even more reasons not to start to
1175  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-26] Tom Lee: Bitcoin Will End 2019 On A High Note on: March 05, 2019, 05:02:50 PM
Tom Lee is at it again , this time with not such an agressive prediction
but this makes him boring , he is repeating himelf and it is not very entertaining to read
he is right about bitcoin not needing ETF to do well this year
but I strongly disagree that economic recession will lead to more interest in crypto and increase in price
quite the opposite, martets shrinking will lead to drop in price

What the heck from 101 sats to 2.6BTC .
Wish I could be as lucky as that player,
Maybe I would try that game next time I get my reward from the campaign,
Last week I lost all of my reward in mines .

He did not even expect that he would win such big amount. He was trying to hunt for the Hilo challenge with a 0.05 prizepool but big luck and obviously he was so brave to bet until the last card. I do believe he should have won nice amount few cards before the last card but he continued his bet. Probably other players have stopped up to 10 cards before the last card.
Nice win Dress, you deserves it.

exactly , his 4-5 last bets were the ones where he already got to 0.05 or so from 100 satoshis
most of the players would have collected and me as well (after going low on that Ace, for sure )
he had metal cojones to bet further and was rewarded for it !
2.600.000x on Hilo is the highest multiplier I have seen

1177  Economy / Gambling / Re: Innovative Gambling - Cosmobit.org - 110% Refund - Provably Fair on: March 04, 2019, 04:33:18 PM
Decided to check out the website and was greeted with an infinite loading screen which is why my first impressions are pretty bad.

Also, the website design seems way too simple and boring which is why I don't have any sort of interest in playing here.

it loads ok for me , not fast but loads fine
the game looks too simplistic and without any FAQ or explanation of what to do
it is hard to understand , it says no deposit and next to it it says 110% refund o_0
refund of what if you do not deposit?
maybe someone who is playing this game can explain what is the purpose of it ,I didn't even have any desire to register to try it out, frankly
1178  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔴🔴🔴Casino✅WinRate.eu✅Licensed cryptocasino🔴🔴🔴 on: March 04, 2019, 09:08:04 AM

some sick win on Hilo game
congratulations  , Dress for making 2.6+ bitcoins from 101 satoshi
this is what you get for hitting a 2.600.000x multiplier :

his last three plays deserve a monument Smiley
1180  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win one bitcoin on: March 03, 2019, 07:59:06 PM
Yep, since the site is new, for a while, until you get a good name, I also suggest you to use an escrow.

I like the fact that the block hash is used for selecting the winner. And also I find interesting the idea with the commercials, although I don't know what can be shown on such a small size. (Edit: I've seen now 2 bought squares, cool!)
What I don't like is that from every 2BTC you collect, you give out 1BTC as prize. I would have understood 20%, maybe 25% too... but half of the money is a bit much imho. And this is at 0.002BTC from the site, not the 0.005BTC from the ANN...

they advertise it as 0.002 for the first week only , each subsequent week the price of a square increases by 0.001 btc
till it reaches 0.005 , so I expect them to net around 2.5 bitcoins if they sell all of the squares
anywhere between 2 and 5 ,actually , but the HE of this game is ridiculous : 50%+ house edge its a rip off even for a lottery
10% affiliate comission is enough for people to promote the game , but I doubt you will be able to sell more than 10-20 squares for such a big price
after all its 80$ per square we are talking about and there is no explanation of how do we get the money back if you don't manage to sell the squares etc.
my opinion , the games like this one require huge marketing and a better concept to become popular otherwise they are stillborn
