201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: November 29, 2019, 10:30:47 AM
I think Bitcoin will never be a global currency, because Bitcoin is a digital currency for investment means. But fore whether bitcoins are used for global currency or not. I don't think it will. Because Bitcoin's price soared.

That's what is happening now, Bitcoin has been part of investment scheme of people, almost everyone are holding it or cashing out but they don't do payment system which is the main goal for crypto, but it is fine as Bitcoin is like a precious gem 'gold' which is worth investing and holding, me too, if I do have spare money, I will just hold my Bitcoin and won't use it for now.

This kind of perception is one of the reasons why bitcoin is still in the bottleneck of massive adoption. And I think, we are all guilty of that. As much as possible, we want to hoard bitcoin for as long as we can. Because of the hope that someday it will be valuable, we don't want it to spend for unnecessary things.

why are we to blame if there are not enough retailers or traders that accept it?
I understand your point , the problem of not spending because of growth expectation is here, but its a double edged sword
we do not spend not only because we think it will be more valuable , but because you can't go to  a supermarket next door and pay with bitcoins
or go to a pub and buy a pint with bitcoin and the legal status of bitcoin is not clear in so many countries that is hard to expect to many medium and small enterpreneurs to accept it
202  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 0.3 BTC Wagering Contest 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: November 29, 2019, 09:17:43 AM

Yes, playing with 1.0102x payout is the simplest, and, probably, the most stupid strategy for participating in a wagering contest. I'm aware of that. If it's not for such a contest, I never play with low payouts, even with 1.1x. My favorite ones are 99x, 120x and higher. When playing with 1.0102x payout all the time, it's almost impossible to be in profit after 10,000 bets. Rather, it's almost guaranteed that you'll lose 1%-2% of the wagered amount. But in the end it depends on the prize you can potentially get. If the prize is several times higher than 2% of what you must wager for it, then 1.0102x is the best. But if the prize is around 1% or even less than that, which is pretty often the case, then combining strategies is definitely a better solution because your profit from the participation will most likely be negative otherwise.

It is not the most stupid strategy do not worry about what people say,,, I have used it myself for getting high wagers, and for sure it means I end up with losses a lot quicker BUT I can stretch my playing and wagers a lot. What is a good strategy anyway? Martingale? Everybody knows all strategies fail eventually.

My favorite also is setting:
1, 1% of bankroll
2, Bet on x 1.02
3, If win, multiply wager x 1.02
4, Repeat 2-3, 35 times

If did not lose, you now have double of 1%. Use this on lowest payout until bust. Repeat again.

with the multipliers like that you are paying the highest HE "fee" so to say
the weight of it is way higher the lower your multiplier is
its a legit wagering strategy though , one can easily get 100-200x his balance wagered
unfortunately , it is almost inevitable bust in the end , I prefer wagering  strategies where you can have a chance to win
for example 50% chance flat bets , if you pick a lucky side , you could get even or even profit
203  Economy / Gambling / Re: Supreem.IO Alpha 1.0// Multiplayer Unique Game on: November 29, 2019, 03:42:01 AM
just registered to try it out , waiting on the 30k sat to be credited to  start rolling
I guess no 30 k for me this time , oh well will leave to others to try it out
the site looks decently good , there are two games - coinflip and supreme ( which is something similar to a CSGO pvp roulette )
with the lack of good PVP sites this one has potential , but having seen almost all of them fail
I would wait a couple of months to see the progress
204  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 0.3 BTC Wagering Contest 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: November 26, 2019, 05:00:35 PM
as to the set dates of the wagering competition , if you haven't noticed four out of five competitions started on Wednesday and ended in three days on Saturday
so there is a schedule , it is just they do not happen every week
I don't think the results for the site depend on the schedule , you can see sites with daily contests struggle to get players so it is not about that
but I'm sure windice people are reading this thread and are definitely paying attention to what players want
205  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: November 26, 2019, 03:59:46 PM
~snip~

Currently I do not see any advantage to do KYC, the idea of this is decentralization and maintain anonymity, the tendency of governments and banks has always been to end anonymity for them to have control.

The only advantage of KYC that I see is for the ICO, IEO projects, which is taken as a protection measure to avoid scams that have fallen so much some investors, however there is the latent risk of using that data for other purposes or worse still sell them .
the benefits of KYC are aimed at developers of the exchanger, ICO, or IEO. however, before there was a sales system like that, KYC was not needed. besides KYC is only used to obey government regulations, but some projects do it to avoid scammers.
in general, KYC is used for such things, but many investors do not want to do that, so KYC can only be seen as beneficial from the developer's point of view.

not really , because the developers of the ICO ,IPo ,IEO and all that jazz have to comply with the regulations in order to launch
what use do they have of the KYC if they cannot enforce anything legally against a potential scammer
some projects require KYC to deter scammers , not to protect themselves , since scammers will do their thing KYC or not
but with AML and KYC they are losing many potential clients who do not like their documents to be sent to random companies ,while definitely saving money on paying out to "beginner" frauds

206  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ MultiCoinGames ⭐ Dice🎲Slots🎰Roulette💎 ⭐ Get 10 Free Credits Now 💎💣🎰 on: November 26, 2019, 11:22:20 AM
I decided to register and check the site, deposited 300 game credits (0.056 LTC) then went into the Dice game but could not find the start button for automatic betting, how does it work?

Hello, Battareus!
Yes, just click low / high, then it will run automatically.
You are welcome!

this is a terrible decision , autobet that starts automatically , never seen it and hope to never see it again
you should have a start / stop button , this is not only confusing and a bad interface choice
it could lead to players not be able to stop the bets when they want to , having to resort to some weird clicking or what? closing page?
regarding the red trust , the casino should have a good reputation from start and as far as I remember OP tried to bump his topic using alt shills
I'd be cautious playing at such a casino , but this is just my IMHO
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 safety concerns? on: November 26, 2019, 09:00:27 AM
don't know about 6 safety concerns , but the ones I'm concerned about are hackers and scammers
I'm not an easy target for something fishy , I can sniff when they plan to deprive me of my well earned coins from a mile Smiley
but nevertheless you never say never and some attempts I experienced were very creative , people fall for it easily
hackers take the matters out of your hands an if you are targeted by a pro , you are in trouble
the good news , most of the hackers are not interested in the targets like me , they shoot for bigger fish
but it is unsettling to send money to exchanges with all of the news of lost funds and whatnot
every time you want to sell or by it is like fueling paranoia , checking if the money is still there in the account, haha
208  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: November 26, 2019, 08:21:51 AM
can agree on banks , do not use them , do not take loans!
this is the modern time slavery , the banking percentage we pay is the reason we can't afford good things Smiley
I mean as a society in general ,not as an individual , the rest is questionable
marriages are overrated nowadays, it is true , more and more couples do not stamp their passports, so to say and prefer to live together without registering
this is more of a trust issue , if you trust your partner you can live without marriage and no divorce lawyers will help you if things go sour , sadly
as for work and the rest , you don't have a job - you do not have a home , as simple as that
and being homeless but saving on taxes is not my idea of what life should be

You want to fix the bug on your site or not? Looks like you dont care about it... told you to PM me your email so we can discuss it but you are ignoring it... Your choice if you want fix it or not but if some users will know about it you will have a big problem
Dude relax , it's a sunday , probably they don't have too many people working now . And they had a lot of people submitting support tickets , including me , so it can take them some time to go through all of them.

Obviously the guy is in desperate need of some cash...

He sounds more than desperate. He has already started threatening @OP. What kind of language is that? I also went ahead and checked his post almost all of them are related to this website.

read the topic , mate
he is more than happy with the bug bounty and OP even exceeded his expectations in terms of the payment
and looks like it was a critical bug indeed and if others , not so honest discovered it , the site could have had major problems
betroar , probably , didn't expect such a flood of the freebie lovers ,haha
but 100k for free that comes with a relatively low wagering requirements is a good deal , for 0.2 btc they had a very good marketing promotion
and it looks like the money well spent , haven't yet tried to play but will surely do so soon
shall post my impressions of the site later , but so far it looks like a site to check out if you haven't already

I could be repeating myself , but this is how the anonymity working - you hide your username and it is not displayed wagering contest or not
you will find the same on every single gambling site , look at Stakes races aka wagering contest
there are barely 3-4 people in the top ten open each time , sometimes one or two
but I understand your doubts , the site is new and people tend to think , hey they are just paying money to themselves in these contests
you can't really check if its a real person or not , but I am sure there is no foul play going on , it would not be worth it in the long run
That sound like the best type of advice I have ever seen regarding the hidden names. If they want to stay hidden that means they should not be in the competition neither, they could try to participate but they will not win anything at all. Only the people with no hidden names should participate, that way we would at least get who wins what and at the same time hidden players will stay hidden if they want it so much.

However, after months of discussing the same thing, it is obvious that people hate to see these "hidden" names all the time but the website doesn't care about what you think, you know why? Because you and me talk here yet the "hidden" ones go play and make them money so they of course care about the people who make them money instead of people who talk for free.

I understand your point , but look at it from a whale's perspective - you would not want your name to be displayed for many reasons
constant friend requests and begging personal messages I'm getting whenever I do not hide my name is one
there are so many people who think that they can get money be inundating others and the only way for them to be able to do that is to check high rollers or the leaderboards , so they know who to target
another reason if you do not want to show  your online presence , for example you told your wife/friends/boss you went to lover/drink/work and you are gambling instead
so if they see your name pop up , it kinda blows your cover  Grin
and the only reason to not introduce anonymity is to satisfy someone's curiosity or prove something to unbelievers?
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone else remember this? on: November 25, 2019, 10:39:38 AM
Fresh graduate can’t land a job in corporate world, because the guy on the top don’t want to step down, the capitalist want to pass their position to their heirs, and their next heirs and next heirs, fresh graduate have no choice and they pull through it, they become basement dwellers, they play video games, they mine bitcoins, they make savage videos, they do everything else except go to work for corporate scumbags, a decade later, many corporates begin to crumble one by one, General Electric used to be the iconic Corp that top students line up to compete for the few top position, now it is delisted from the DJIA index and the scumbags inside the Corp are fighting among themselves for their self-interests, it gave me a unknown pleasure to know that more and more used-to-be the blue chip, the best Corp in the united state the land of freedom, began to crumble one by one, they blame the useless millennials for messing up the entire scheme, I know deep inside me, I want them to failed so badly, can I finally have a good laugh? I hope so!

wow , wasn't aware that General Electric got delisted , they have been there seemingly forever
just googled it , happened last year too  o_0
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/19/business/dealbook/general-electric-dow-jones.html
blaming millennials is the easy way , blame the system that has run its course , now its time for a change and it is coming
don't know for good or for worse , but the things are being changed and I won't be surprised to see more and more dinosaurs like GE fall

Once again just 3 people who have their names open in the top 10, whats the point of having this marketing I will never know, maybe they are not even real people, as long as I don't see 5+ people on each of them I feel like this is marketing for no purposes at all.

Still, wagering numbers are increasing and people are gambling more here but is it really just because of the contest? Is it really growing just because of the race here? I doubt people are working that hard and collectively coming here just to gamble for the 1000 daily race that is not really even 1000 for the winner? I think this website just grew organically and people do gamble and some do care about the race but usually because of all these "hidden" stuff not that many really want to gamble here just because of the race.

I could be repeating myself , but this is how the anonymity working - you hide your username and it is not displayed wagering contest or not

low moments I will regret forever is selling my coins cheap  in  2012 Cry
not talking about pizza-style 10.000 btc , but it is painful every time I remember it , heh life goes on though and bitcoin did amazingly well through the years
despite ups and downs it is the most performing asset , beating gold and many other popular stores of value
my hope that in several years we look back at today's prices and say something like : wow I actually could gave bought it for 5.000$ "  Cheesy
and of course we all would love to see it hit 6 digits figures one day , hope is there despite all the price ups and downs
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more dump before halving? on: November 25, 2019, 04:29:20 AM
one more dump? it seems like we are going to have plenty
no idea what caused this 20% + drop in price , Binance is claiming the news of the police raid did that , which is funny
but looking at the trading charts it is not going to stop , it could as well start falling below 6k and even in the 5500 area
after a glorious rally to 10k all we see is bears running wild , seemingly the buyers are unaware of the coming halving or are waiting for it to drop further to buy
in any scenario , even if it drops to 6k or lower ,  don't panic and wait - we have been here before numerous times
unfortunately , the end of the year " to the moon " hopes were shattered once again
215  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 0.3 BTC Wagering Contest 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: November 25, 2019, 03:00:22 AM
I am pretty sure there will be whales coming in at the last second but yoloer seems like gone for the past few rounds. He played in the first few rounds but then he probably decided that it doesn't worth it and took off, otherwise he was actually finishing at the top but then he started to get competition and that destroys all the "play bare minimum to be top and get paid" method when you have people trying to gamble more than you and get to top.

It is of course very difficult to calculate the real average house edge when you calculate the reward as well.

Not everyone gets the same reward and not everyone gambles the same level on each contest but there is really one truth about this contest and that is the fact that it drops the house edge and that is very cool.

this contest was pretty anticlimatic - no real fight for the top spot and Rodolman took it easily with just 3.9 btc wagered
can't see his stats , but pretty sure this was a profitable run , unless he played very risky
but this guy is not new Smiley saw him in the last contests top spots usually
anyways , was fun for me I managed to place high in the table with a relatively small bankroll , total around 300k satoshi
and managed a decent profit + the prize money , very happy about it  Cheesy

It is probably due to the weekends as the last day of the contest where most whales were spending their time out of gambling place.
Perhaps most whales where spending their time and money for other activities in real life so they did not come at windice for the contest.
Wagering almost 4btc and won 0.1 on the contest is obviously profitable if he did manage it correctly.
By the way congrats for you as you managed to win plus the winning prize on the contest.

on weekends the betting volumes are higher usually , so I don't think it is because of the timing
if I want to participate , I would find time in three days to do so
I was extremely busy during the contest , but still managed to leave my autobet running only to check it from time to time
so if there is a will , there is a way , the problem is not in the lack of time but in the lack of money  Cheesy
the previous contests saw at least 4-5 bettors  duking it out for the tops spot , this time there was only one contender and he took the prize home
216  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cypto-Forum.net - Get Paid Cryptos for Post! on: November 25, 2019, 02:03:43 AM
Is there anyone who get paid? I am interested to participate.

this is a good question apparently with no positive answers so far , I wish OP was online more often and took care of the complaints
if you are interested in earning for posting , a couple of messages above another project was mentioned , it is solid but the pay there is nothing spectacular
I know some would love to post for like  , 5 cents for a post , but it is not worth your time doing this for money
only if you are really interested in the subject then why not - an interesting discussion + get paid , what could be better
I glanced through the forum Xenforo script , quality engine and at least 500$ invested into license and design so I'm sure the owner is not trying to scam you with the payments
it is very early to say but there are not so many quality topics , hopefully it will change with time
and yeah , sort the payments out because your reputation is worth more than money at the early stages especially
217  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-13] Bitcoin Getting Favored by Retirees in Australia Despite Volatility on: November 25, 2019, 12:32:50 AM
The title is quite misleading. It gives readers the feeling that senior people in this country are investing in cryptos but here is a quote directly from the survey that kills everything then.

Quote
about 2.5 percent of retirees in Australia intend to get some crypto in the next half-a-year.
[/b]

All this for only 2.5%... and they intend, not they did.

That said, I know someone there, he's 68 years old and someone very active on the internet. He never wanted to believe in Bitcoin potential, since about 2017 he collects free bitcoins from faucets and other earnings websites Cheesy

as usual another clickbait article , they don't even bother now and get any fact that is remotely looking like connected to bitcoin and present it as a statement
getting favoured and 2.5% of retirees is contradictory at best , I'd say they consider bitcoin as something they will not try
and this is not about 2.5% investing or actively trading or holding , this is PLANNING to , subtract 50% from this figure and you will see that only 1% of retirees in Australia will be buying coins
so much for "getting favored"  Grin
can't say about Australia , but where I live no people I know that are > 60 years old are planning to invest in bitcoin or even consider such a foolishness
and I spoke to quite a few , it is safe to say that 3/4 of them haven't heard about it and the remaining 25% heard about it but do not consider it as something worth talking about at all , sadly
they are very cautious about their money and investments and not willing to take risks as much as the younger people
218  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ Scamming Senior Citizens With Bitcoin Retirement Plan on: November 24, 2019, 10:45:21 PM
what a bastard , preying on someone who are not too familiar with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies
anything named "Satoshi Nakamoto" would discourage me from sending coins instantly
to me a fund named that cannot be something serious , since Satoshi has disappeared and none knows where or what is he
imagine trusting your money to a fund that could do the same one day ( no offense to real Satoshi - he is a genius )
astounded by the figures he managed to steal , almost 700 bitcoins with 0.1 btc this means 7.000 people fell victim
219  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cypto-Forum.net - Get Paid Cryptos for Post! on: November 24, 2019, 10:12:38 PM

Yesterday I got a message on twitter from you saying winnings will be sent in the next 24 hours . 24 hours have passed since then and nothing , I'll update my post if I'll receive it , but for now the deadlines stated by you have been long passed.

this is not something I would like to hear from a new site , even if its a paid-to-post forum
you have to take into account that it is brand new and payments expected to have some snags as well as other usual growing pains
I'd give them some time , if they don't - open a scam accusation topic in the appropriate section so others know
I doubt they created a forum to just scam all the posters ,  probably simply a delay and you will get your coins
out of curiosity , how much did you manage to earn with them ?
wonder if it is even worth your time to try and make money this way
220  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cypto Gambling Forum - Get Paid Cryptos for Post! on: November 24, 2019, 06:25:18 AM
I don't know if you are the owner. But pay for posting will just encourage spam. You won't get real user or gamblers. When you will stop pay everyone will leave your forum. I have seen couple of forum done it before and eventually shutdown. On the other hand seems you are just inviting gamblers since this ANN thread on gambling section, but do you think real gamblers have enough time to make post for few cents? I don't think so. Why you don't choose advertise your forum some other way like social media campaign or banner ad and so on. It will drive real user on your site. Pay per post means you are inviting some spam robot. You can't expect good return from them.

it depends on how good their moderators are , if they are doing their job properly there will be same amount of spam as everywhere else
pay for posting is a good way to encourage people to actually post something, most of the forums are dead because users cba to post
usually , there are several devoted individuals that are spending time and discussing things ,the rest are not participating out of laziness or fear to look incompetent
for a forum to thrive it has to obtain a core of knowledgeable and interesting to read posters , if there are no enthusiasts from the start
you have to pay to lure them , there is not much difference if you buy posts or you buy articles rewritten by some freelancer for a site , it is almost the same  - you need content
and the content creators got to be incentivized this way or another
