1161  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: December 18, 2014, 11:47:35 AM
I fail to understand with multi-sig wallets how a pool operator can be so careless.

Clueless is right. Once is bad enough, but to have it happen again is just plain ridiculous, it makes no sense at all. It wouldn't surprise me if the pool operator had something to do with it - he's certainly got a history of scamming his miners.

That's about as stupid a statement as a person could make....

Sorry to read about the theft. I will be moving my miners back soon.
1163  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 16, 2014, 01:53:21 PM
Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, with the Christmas season and high workload we have been rather burnt out (things are still happening in the background).

A small update, we have shifted the pool to https://pool.overhash.com as we have launched our crypto exchange at https://overhash.com.

All settings are exactly the same and the stratum is still at the same address!

Our electrician (ex electrician now) screwed up the 3 phase install so we are in the process of getting it fixed, as when we plug our miners in it keeps tripping the breaker. So hopefully that will be up soon as the downtime and server costs are really killing us at the moment.

Thanks for the support so far guys, and we look forward to progressing into the new year soon!

How much hashing do you plan on bringing to the pool when you get your electrical problems solved?
1164  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 2 to Dec 16th diff thread. ( +0.15%) to (+0.92%) on: December 16, 2014, 10:53:19 AM
145 blocks to go we are at (-1.22%)

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

there is a chance that diff adjustment happens on  Dec 17th At 1 am east coast time.    that would be close to 15 days time.

today is a good day to be a miner!

I am surprised its not down even more with the large amount of miners (like myself) selling hash which is mining the new alt coin and not BTC.

The last couple of days and the last few difficulty changes  has helped me think I did good buying my last 2 used S3's  at a good price. (as long as BTC does not tank)
1165  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 15, 2014, 04:44:23 PM
I also set my password as p=.013 so if the buying rate drops below .013 per TH/s my miners will move to my PPS pool as I can get that much on PPS.

That is a pretty cool feature...

Kind of what I thought also. Will wait and see how it works out. I believe then if the rate ever comes back up to my threshold the miners will move back to WestHash by themself.
1166  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: How can pools like Nicehash/bitcoinaffiliatenetwork pay more than mining rate? on: December 15, 2014, 01:25:57 AM
my invest in the 3 Ant S1 was in total 160,00 €.
the PSU is a Server PSU with 930 Watt at about 30,00 €
If that keep going, i will return my Invest (what i never thought of!)

For me it can stay forever, i will use the NH for paying elec. and the rest solo mining  Grin until i solve my first
block (goal).

Edit: it is 01:43 (@night) in ger. i wait for the first payout (5H) and then sleep.

I had my last payout about 2 1/2 hours ago so next payout should be in another 3 1/2 hours.
1167  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: How can pools like Nicehash/bitcoinaffiliatenetwork pay more than mining rate? on: December 15, 2014, 12:22:18 AM
Grin Grin Grin
put my 3 Ant's (Undervoltet) on now.
Quick Calculation:

400 GH/s (545 Watt's) per 24H = 13,08 KWW/h  / 0,29€ per KW/h => 3,7932 € to pay Elec.
400 GH/s => 0,0576 (24H) BTC => 16,3584 €

16,36€ - 3,80€ = 12,56 € WIN per Day

If that last for 24H I couldn't belive it.

How long will that goes?Huh hope a few day's.

Its gone even higher now. This could last a few more days!
1168  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: How can pools like Nicehash/bitcoinaffiliatenetwork pay more than mining rate? on: December 14, 2014, 09:21:46 PM
Well Well, my miner runs at 0,393€ per Hour Profit and i have to pay 0,29€ per KW/h.
The First Time that my miner generate a real Profit of 0.10€ per Hour.

Thank's Aurel57 for the message!

I mine at the nicehash side, it is "beside" germany in the netherland.

No Problem  o_solo_miner get it while you can as it will not last.

EDIT: price is still climbing.
1169  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: How can pools like Nicehash/bitcoinaffiliatenetwork pay more than mining rate? on: December 14, 2014, 07:53:56 PM
These pools you mention are giving you the illusion that you are getting overpaid - that's all it is, an illusion. No pool can pay more than they mine, the same as no business can run at a loss. Any pool that claims to pay more than they earn should be avoided completely, especially one that has a proven shady background. Don't fall for it.

My first payment from WestHash today for 5 hours of mining was almost double what I would have gotten from 24 Hours of PPS payouts. No illusion as the payment hit my wallet. People right now are paying a high amount for the hash rate to mine a new coin. Hope this last a while longer but will slow down soon I am sure.

Yeah, people are paying out the wazoo to mine GAW's new XPY.  Those of you who have rigs for rent are making a killing right now Smiley.  Supposedly the PoW mining stage will be completed on 12/19, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Yes its crazy right now...

Paying to Miners   0.0620 BTC/TH/Day
Hashing speed   690518.8646 TH/s
Bitcoin mining profit   0.0126 BTC/TH/Day
WestHash mining profit above Bitcoin mining   392.2421 %

I am thinking this is why you see some pools with such low hash rates and missing miners right now...

Just received my first payment for 5 hours of mining.  Shocked very nice!
1172  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 04:19:06 PM
Update: I see my miners in the list, thanks for the tip Aurel. So far so good. Fingers crossed that I am not chasing butterflies here.....

P.S: A way to differentiate your miners would be to use different receive addresses for each, depending on what wallet you are using you may already have several available. I have been doing this on P2pools that I have tried.

I also set my password as p=.013 so if the buying rate drops below .013 per TH/s my miners will move to my PPS pool as I can get that much on PPS.

NiceHash has very large FAQ section. You can name your miners and still mine under same BTC address. Read this: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs1

I some how looked past it, but got it now. thank you
1174  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 03:23:31 PM
I suspect that is what people buying hashpower are doing, at least those who do it for any length of time. I have tried this but always end up chasing butterflies it seems. I can understand a looky-loo just wanting to try mining overpaying for a short period of time.  I pointed an S1 and an S3 there. I think I did it right. I signed up and pointed them to the stratum address for SHA-256 using my wallet address as user name, like a P2pool. IS this correct? Did I miss something? How do I monitor what is happening? Do I just wait for a payout in 6 hours??

I went to the miners list on the upper right hand side. then scrolled down to my payment address which is easy to find just looking around your hash rate. Once you click on your payment address it will show you your miners. now i am trying to figure out how to number my miners as i have 6 S3's pointed here.
1175  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 02:31:13 PM
So it seems. I read through the Nicehash website and it appears you can use any miner, although there seems to be issues with people using junkers with outlandish error rates screwing things up. My Spidey sense says that something that is too good to be true usually isn't, but if they are paying 4 times a day I don't see much risk in pointing one over there. The site is currently quoting .0886 BTC/THs/Day. The Coinwars projection is .0226. My main reservation to trying this at the moment is that Slush is having a boomer of a day (FINALLY) and I am running @ about .03/Ths/Day currently and I don't want to pull off of that tit right now. Maybe if things cool off I will give it a try. I do understand the business model (Sell to sucker and buy from me and keep a cut), all you have to do is check Ebay and see the (insert derogatory term for zero math skill person here)'s paying $5-$10/day to rent S3's. The issue there is disgruntled buyers and full on scammers though.

I use to mine on Slush a few years ago. I am not sure who is renting these miners at such a high rate on NiceHash but I will take the good pay while it last as I am sure it will not be for long.

Edit: Am wondering if they are using the hash to mine another SHA256 coin other than BTC that maybe be hot at the moment. I really don't follow any other coins so I am not sure.
1176  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 02:08:34 PM
Is there a limit to how small of a contribution someone can make? Meaning, can I point one of my S1s there to test out these fantastical figures?  Huh

I would think it would not matter what size miner you use.
1177  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 02:06:00 PM
It shows I have made in two hours what would have taken me 16 hours on PPS?
1178  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best pool for a 1Th/s miner on: December 14, 2014, 01:03:49 PM
Yes my nicehash/westhash miners are really kicking out coin atm +1

I have to agree!
1179  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BTC +500%] Try NiceHash.com pool, buyers of SHA256 hash power are paying good on: December 14, 2014, 12:55:32 PM
I have friends that have been telling me to try NiceHash so I just moved my miners over to WestHash and I like what it shows so far.

I mean I would run extension cords or something to get them going ASAP. He is just losing money as the difficulty will probably never be this low again.

same here... plug them in at home or anywhere to help the pool. We already had a pool talking about shutting down and it has 14 PH/s! so it makes a person wonder why anybody thinks they can start a pool up and show a profit UNLESS they want to mine there themself.... and so far this is not the case here.
