The US dollar is pegged to oil

Okay I admit it's the other way around. Oil is pegged to the dollar, what difference does it make?

Better correct this statement too , if oil would have been pegged to the dollar there would have been no fluctuation in oil price.
Probably you have no idea what pegged means.

And as the previous link posted by somebody here pegging another commodity to a virtual currency which acts too as a commodity right now it's almost impossible.

OIL IS TRADED IN US DOLLARS. ONLY. THAT'S IT. JUST US DOLLARS, ONLY, NOTHING ELSE. DOES THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION YOU NUB FOR BRAINS?

OIL IS PEGGED TO THE US DOLLAR. ONLY, NOTHING ELSE, IT'S ONLY TRADED IN USD.

OKAY? Moron?

The US dollar is pegged to oil, I see no difference between URO and urea.

In fact I see the US dollar destabilizing and OPEC looking to back oil with China's yuan. If anything urea would have the same issues except that it's not an inflationary debt backed currency issued by a corrupt government privately held "federal reserve". In fact URO is held and backed by the blockchain and the hoard of miners supporting it, so it's even more likely to peg a unit of commodity to it.

You know you can trade paper contracts for any commodity, they're called future contracts. If you hold a valid future contract you can trade it for a set tonnage of commodity. What's the difference to URO? Nothing. As long as there's agreements between parties.

Bittrex takes their sweet time sometimes, but the transaction will go through eventually.

They have showed me the txid: 53651d932b51cd1bc4a09bf2a97846d0f57282079132386a8370f413a81668df
bit it doesn't show up anywhere else.

I had the same issue with bittrex before. It can take a few hours. I emailed them a support ticket and before they answered it the trans went through.

Sorry guys but thats the end of URO i think....
I can bring it to 00015 with 1 click of a button, not 0015 00015....
URO is dead.... Where where all scammed.

I lost about 7k on URO, down maybe 10BTC, so if anyone was hurt more then me i ask you to come forward...
I dont blame anyone just need to use my descresion more next time. It looked legit turns out now way in fuck is it.

I dont wanna hurt anyones feelings and cry out accumulation all you want, i have 4years experiance doing this look at my profile and this URO is the most eleberate scam yet...

If you truly believe it's a scam, why continue holding on to your coins?  Why not sell them before the price goes even lower?

Cause im so fucken pissed off i would rather go down with the ship...
Also i almost have 12k URO, so who wants to add to mine to make 12k so we can collect delevery on this URO at least make these assholes pay for that...
Us claiming delevery will be proof this is real or a scam.
Im sorry to burst your bubble but the entire thing is a big fucken joke, think about it are they really going to send me 12,000 tons of urea??
i have 12k URO....  Of fucken course they will not, thats $6MILLION in UREA..... at 500 a ton...... lol seriously wake the fuck up and watch this,
im going to try get my 12k delivered according to the protocle i proposition bet you now 5k USD they wont do it.

If you really think they will give up 12,000 tons of urea at 500$ a ton in exchange for 12,000 "URO" worth $1 each your stupider then you look...
maths here $12,000 USD != $6,000,000.00, ROI just collecting delivery and reselling on ALIBABA as china urea at $200 a ton would still see ROI of 200%..
.. its not going to happen.... EVER.. mark my words...

Just a lurker here asking an honest question  Tongue

Can someone refute vual's statements w/ credible info? I've been following this thread for a while now and all I see is hype vs fud flaming. Someone explain to me in economic terms how pegging URO to UREA would work. Everything vual has said here is logical/rational and I want to see someone refute this in the same manner.

I'm just a curious college student Smiley

check https://coinist.co/cryptocurrencies/uro for honest reviews

I was hoping for something little more credible.. Still doesn't explain who absorbs the loss when URO gets traded for urea.

There is no loss. There is however delayed ROI.

Would you please have a look to sell the wall
What will happen next

It would only take 30 BTC to double the price.

Price manipulated to stay at this price?

Yeah sure, the whales are all manipulating the price and buying Uro. No way it is just people dumping to salvage whatever they can from their investments.

It's more likely the pools are auto selling.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin - PoW reward for solar energy | the GREEN KING of Crypto on: August 07, 2014, 07:17:01 AM
How about building a multi pool like Blackcoin's after PoS transition?

It will help both miners and stake holder.

The miners mine most profitable coin and exchange it for SLR. It will place continuous buy order and support price level.

It also utilize current scrypt ASIC machine which is owned by current solar miner.

It defeats the purpose of SLR. The way people should get it is through feed in grants. But you know people, someone will probably go right ahead and build a multipool anyway.

Did anyone manage to build a QT URO interface for Linux? I don't see any docs for that.

Code:
cd Uro/src/leveldb
make clean
rm Makefile
wget https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/raw/master/src/leveldb/Makefile
chmod 775 * -R
make
make libmemenv.a
cd ..
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=1

Well, that gave me only the Urod daemon, no QT GUI  Embarrassed

Well poo. I was going to try that on one of my laptops.

Please read. This can be really great for CGB.

"NXT Decentralized Exchange Launches With BTC and LTC.

The CoinAssets, as they are called, can be traded on the NXT asset exchange with other users, without the need to trust those users, and can be traded out for actual coins at any time.

The developers stressed to me that they are looking at other communities and stated that they are willing to help nearly any coin that wants to utilize the technology.

I was given a list of coins that could support the asset exchange almost immediately, they include:  BTC*, LTC*, DRK*, DOGE, CGB .... "

http://cointelegraph.com/news/112175/nxt-decentralized-exchange-launches-with-btc-and-ltc

Agreed.  It seems to me at this point in history, that as a community, we should be honest with ourselves about the future of CGB.   The fundamentals are there but the price continues to fall.  Why?  My theory is because we have low trade volume.  The Crypto-trade thing is great for us but I fear that it's not enough to have a huge difference to our marketcap.  Crypto-Trade is a great exchange but they have a low trade volume so I don't see it making a huge difference to us.  Most coins on that site are dying a slow death and they all trade for BTC which its self is a huge centralized dinosaur at this point in time IMO.  Conventional exchanges are sooo 2013.  They are not safe and they break down all the time.  Don't get me wrong the CGB/USD is invaluable but like I say it's not enough to save us at this point in time.   Lets not kid ourselves.  All cryptocurrencies are experimental and it is difficult to achieve the right balance.  Most are failing and at this point I think we could go either way.  I think we are learning from experience that a high market cap is not compatible with low trade volume.   Recognizing that CGB is a currency to "store" wealth,  I also think we should do everything we can to encourage trading.  Most coins fail because they are not spread thin enough.  If 100 people each have 10,000 coins, where are you going with that?    Nobody is going to pay up to get one coin.  The successful CGB is 1 million people each with one coin.  The previous poster who mentioned the Multigateway decentralized trading built into the NXT platform is absolutely correct.  Decentralized trading from the client is where this is all heading.   The market is declaring that NXT or some variation on that is the future, like it or not, and CGB needs to be a part of that sooner rather than later so that we can boost trading volume.  My 2 CGB's worth.

I think in order for CGB to thrive it needs to be marketed for what it's developed for. It's supposed to be a store of value, a tool to smooth out the fluctuations of bitcoin and create a "safe haven" for your digital investment. If you want to see CGB succeed, begin marketing it to coinbase for example as a store for their digital assets. This coin needs huge volume from large investors because that's who it's targeted too.

What is wrong with wallet and block explorer? Transfer to my wallet is still pending after more than 2 hours without any confirmation. Block explore also shows last block found was 39808 long time ago. Can someone help me?

The network hashrate has been erratic today so block generation is experiencing some timing inconsistencies. However a new block is expected to be generated any minute now.

We are testing a more responsive difficulty re-targeting algorithm (DigiShield) and will be implementing this soon to curb future incidents like this.

Oh that's cool!
