Look at all the desperate people who shorted eth try and get you to sell. Hahaha.
How do you short ETH or any other cryptocurrency? Even without short selling, it's possible. You close your position waiting to buy back in. It's safer than a true market short, but you're still risking losing future gains if you don't buy back in soon enough.

I see, my question 'decentral vs distributed' was sidestepped/ignored. All i needed to know.
May I ask you two questions? What is your intent?

You use fiat currency don't you?
I prefer not to. So you're saying it's more like a shady fiat currency than a transparent coin? Will you have central bankers too? Don't like it, don't use it. The human consensus mechanism will do its thing. Interesting response, that's for sure. So you're saying "we'll pump it and shove it down your throat", right? "human consensus mechanism", lol, what a flying BS From you, yes. Lots of "flying BS". Reality isn't for everyone. Sorry for making my due dilligence and not blindly buying. I hope you can forgive me. I thought we already covered that. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Free market dictates.

Hello, i am new to this. I have a question for someone who considers themselves a pro about eth.
I was looking into ETH and thinking about investing but i can not find a reward-shedule. How can i know for sure what the inflation would be? Is there a table somewhere?
There isnt. Inflation will be cut down dramatically around 2016/17 with the "Casper" milestone and PoS. How much on the other hand is still not decided. So ETH is a token that makes its rules as it goes along? We are expected to buy into arbitrary future numbers? Will they later also arbitrary change those numbers? I mean, i heard Vitalik talk about 'elastic supply'. Is this it? They just spam out as many tokens as they see fit? No good roadmap on supply? You use fiat currency don't you?

The price action to .25 back to .17 overnight is volatile as hell. Looks like a base forming at .20. Man I think when bitcoin halves we will be in the .5 range. My seatbelt is buckled but I think I'm getting wiplash!!!!!
Don't worry - that is because of the same person manipulating the market constantly on Bittrex trying to increase his stash of Solarcoins. Once we get to Poloniex and maybe other exchanges the price will be more stable. It's easy for him now, but soon he will no longer be able to cause panic... By the way as I was writing this post, the price dropped to 0.00029 and then almost instantly went to 0.000315 - his game is simple and this person behavior has not changed even slightly. We will get there - just don't be afraid by a couple of waves in the sea That was me, I bought back a few coin to try to put the price back up since I had an emergency and had to cash out the majority of my SLR. Some idiot had their Pitbull off leash and attacked my dog. I chose to save her and it cost $2,300 in vet bills so far. Good to see the price stayed stable and my dog is all stitched up and actually wagging her tail and eating now so it was worth it! Thank god I stuck with SolarCoin and it stayed stable all this time and rose when I needed it most! Happy to hear your pup is well. You should file a complaint against the owner and probably file a small claims suit.

I bought more from miners at various prices (.02 - .10) but once they got on AllCrypt (open at .1 then at .005 for forever) I just got more so i could buy down my loss. I'm not going anywhere at this point. Just going to get some icy-hot for my neck At least you didn't sell some at 300 satoshi. That's something I'll never do again.

i can view them when i open wallet.dat with a hex editor.
I precise that my wallet.dat was working with version 1.5 of solarcoinwallet, so my wallet.dat is not encrypted like the newest version
You didn't encrypt that one? Fortunate, you may have a chance of recovery. I wish I could help you, I just don't know enough about the technical aspects.

Hello everyone,
i need your help.
My solarcoin wallet is corrupted.
I try to extract the keys.
Can anyone tell me how i can convert a hex public key from my wallet.dat to a solarcoin address, in order to find the positive amount adress.
Thanks
What's the wallet reporting? Thanks corather the reporting is that wallet.dat is corrupted, and can't be recovered That usually means the database is corrupted. You should make a backup of your wallet.dat (hopefully you have a few copies backed up already), then delete everything except the wallet.dat!!! in the Solarcoin application data folder, on windows 7/8 hit the windows jewel and type %appdata%solarcoin. On Windows 10 it may be the same, I don't have much experience with it, and apple machines I can't help. The wallet is probably fine, but it can't parse properly because of the older database. my wallet became corrupted after, i shut down my computer with the on/off button, while solarcoin application was runing. The computer wasn't responding, so i shut down it . My problem is not a problem of database or folder or parsing. My wallet.dat is really corrupted, and i make no backup or copy of it. Oh that's not good. If you don't have at least your private key, you may not be able to recover them.

Going to find resistance at 20 I think, but that's still quite an achievement.

Im going to dare to say if it hits 1 Dollar we are probably going higher. Lets see how it goes I have a spare pair of trousers ready for that day just incase!! Ahahaha I loled By the way, since I am watching the price go "high as f*ck" every day I'm starting to think about, what will happen if/when we reach the top 10 in coinmarketcap? Can we blow off the competition there and remain stable? Are people finally going to accept, that Solarcoin is not another "shitcoin" and realize the potential behind this project? I'm starting to believe that we may be the new wealthy elite here gentleman, don't you think? We will have to see. The Bitcoin and Solar whales will be battling each other. People are looking for real life examples for the implementations of the coins which is why the DAO was able to raise 150 million dollars. If SLR does get to the top 10 that will be good exposure for sure. That's one of the beautifully elegant things about Solarcoin. It doesn't need to raise money. In fact it does the opposite, builds value through collected data and acceptance.

Has anyone loaded the solarcoin wallet on Raspberry PI?
The only ARM wallet right now is Luke's Bitseed node. Give it time though.
