Well one thing is certain. Price volatility promotes discussion. That's always a good thing when the cause is just.

Can we bring the coin to another exchanges? If it get to Cryptsy I think more people will know about it and be interested in to buy. And now since there is no more mining, the price must skyrocket - that last week was an example about how a small amount of BTC can drive the price UP, the problem is that more people need to know about the coin and more exchanges need to accept it. Once more people buy it, the price will go UP and eventually companies that produce solar energy will be more interested to claim their coins. What do you guys think?

Last I heard cryptsy was having some problems, freezing withdrawals and whatnot.

Leroy Fodor must be McLovin' it now that he's a busy beaver processing all them withdraw requests prior to November 1, 2015. HAHAHA

I lve this thread, funny stuff, thanks Gleb! Smiley

I've fallen for a few scams, but not this one. And this has to be one of the most entertaining scams to date.

Now that we know the wallet and network are enhanced, I hope that those involved with the coin’s development are focusing on a very easy-to-use system for claimants. Realistically I hope that the end process is one where the claimant is able to sign up & start getting solar coins for their verified PV Systems within 15 minutes of when they begin the process itself (all in the wallet of course)…. Anything more is just too long and people will quit during setup a lot, guaranteed.

At this point I see a long haul for the low price (.03 & under) as we will need to see claimant milestones, like 10k, 100k, 1mil claimants, ect before we really see people start to pay attention, & we will need still millions more before a true barter/trade system is ubiquitous around the world for SLR like it is for BTC.

Most importantly we need more claimants & more people running the wallet since this will increase the number of people deeply invested in the network and ideologies behind it. Surely that will only lead to good things for network strength and permeation!

(hope all is well with everyone, Love the enthusiasm so far as SLR is kicking a** & taking names if you ask me so lets keep this train moving along.. no room for short-minded thinking when you have a 50+ year road in your sights)

One of the projects the foundation is working on is an automated claims process. At the moment it's still a manual process though the claims feature in the wallet was a positive step in the right direction, thank you Steve! Smiley

Has there been any concern with the now one flagged virus in virustotal ?

Jiangmin   Trojan/StartPage.wqo

this one is supposed to change your browser homepage. Does anyone no where it is in the code and to get rid of it?

I'd suggest running an app called "Junkware Removal Tool".

How to find out btca is not active here.

Is this an unfinished tutorial?
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: October 18, 2015, 04:10:24 AM
Arch was one of the first altcoins I bought. It was cheap and seemed to have a decent concept behind it. I hold what I bought mostly out of silly attachment to my first purchase but have to say Ihope they release some news soon.

I'd like to point out, however that I may have found the problem with Moby. I went over to the Moby.io website again this morning and noticed something I didn't see last time. If you scroll down to the "Design" section you'll find the following statement:

Quote

Design

Inspired by the hump of a great white whale, and just like a whale, it symbolizes what should be our primordial relationship with nature, simple, fearless but with utter respect. Built with light weight composites with high density insulation as resistant as 1 inch steel.

Unfortunately I didn't notice this previously, but the answer has been there all along. There is no such animal as a "great white whale", the term is used to refer to albino whales in general, but no specific species goes by that moniker. Thus it is entirely reasonable to deduce that since the design of Moby is based on something that doesn't exist,  Moby doesn't exist either.

I guess this teaches me to read more carefully next time!

(Okay, this is kind of tongue in cheek but I still think there's a problem when the first line of description on the moby site points to an animal that doesn't exist as the inspiration...It shows a certain lack of a review process which does not bode well for the overall project IMO)

Still, I ain't selling, just thought this was interesting.

Reference to a Beluga whale. Kinda looks like a Moby, but don't take my word for it.

Could somebody stop that bullshit from this imposter ? Its going for weeks now...

Best thing to do is use the ignore button. It's impossible to reason with morons, or stop a thunderstorm. Though I tend to like the moron explanation.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official] Developments & Discussions on: October 16, 2015, 07:58:06 AM

Sorry everyone, about the frequent reposting of every slur the twins can think of.

We could play whackamole with them but I suspect that is some of their gratification. Quite what their motive is I do not know although I can guess it has something to do with another coin.

The bottom line and something they can't seem to come to grips with, is that no one is being asked to fund CannabisCoin or its associated projects. If you are concerned about what we are trying to achieve and/or how we are going about it then by all means move to another coin. We'll still be with the project if and when you return.

James and Joshua are what they are and apparently facts and reality hold little interest for them.

We'll sweep the board from time to time but please, don't waste your time arguing with them. You know what they say about people dragging you down to their level and then beating you with experience Wink They seem to have taken their inspiration from the monkey-wrenching manual and they can fabricate slurs far faster than you can reference the facts.

We'll just let results argue for us.

Have a great day everyone and remember, share a smile with someone new today Cheesy

My ignore button is mightier than their fabrications.

Hi,

For those interested in paper wallet sweeps. Do people get different amounts on the "cryptoid blockchain explorer" vs. their online hot wallet after the creation of a offline paper wallet and then funding it from their online hot wallet?
I funded 0.01 SLR from the hot wallet to a newly created paper wallet and that was tagged on the "cryptoid blockchain explorer" successfully (pretty much immediately). I verified the timing and amount and it cross checked to my hot wallets transaction history.

However when I search for my original hot wallets recorded address (not the newly created paper one), it showed that a major difference occured at that transaction moment. It deducted 489.69 SLR instead of the expected 0.01 SLR.

I have since swept back the original 0.01 SLR to the hot wallet successfully (i have verified that balance is correct). However the "Cryptoid blockchain explorer" seems not to register this. Maybe it takes more than 500 confirmations? So far that transaction is showing 475 confirmations. Or maybe this is irrelevant.

Thanks,
-lfloorwalker

If you could, give is the transaction ID.
That's https://chainz.cryptoid.info/slr/tx.dws?1084931.htm
Currently at 493 confirmations.

Thanks,
-lfloorwalker

If I'm reading this right, it looks like that's the chunk of coin that .01 SLR came from, the rest was swept back into your wallet under an internal address.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/slr/block.dws?850087.htm

The amounts in your wallet aren't different I'm assuming?

"..the rest was swept back into your wallet under an internal address"

In a previous reply Steve mentioned that this is how PoST "address amounts splitting into smaller chunks" works. Looks like that.

I found out that it is an anonymity feature called a "change address" built into the Bitcoin and Altcoin code. Cryptoid FAQs mentions that "Guesstimated wallets" are usually lower in real value than actual wallets because of these change addresses.
More info here. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

That sounds right. I've always seen this behavior in crypto currency so I just figured it was normal.

My wallet seemed to have forked again.
I've uninstalled, removed all files except wallet and am reloading blockchain.
Is there something I am doing wrong and this keeps happening?
Just finished reinstalling the wallet and I have 0 connections. Is this due to the new protocol added to 2.0.8 which ignores spamming nodes?

I believe it is, but given time it should begin to grab connections.
Hmm... i guess i have a 24 hour wait then unless there is a way around this

Guess we have to wait for Steve to chime in. I looked through the console help options but I didn't find anything useful (that I could see anyway) that can resolve this quickly.

Is there anyway to stake my whole wallet.  Seems it is only using about 18% of my coins for staking.

Your whole wallet is staking unless you allocate some coins for not staking.

I've used 15 GB this month and I have 2 wallets running. That's 2.5 Gb per day and I have to account for web browsing and voice over IP also. I don't know, it's working well here in the states.

I found another way to workaround the synchronization error. Choose Logoff in the file menu, and log back in. It should synch up and start staking properly.
