1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 02:37:29 PM
In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
Thinking of winning back a lost money in gambling is a way you would have more emotion that will let you to be losing more and more money until you will realize that it will not be possible.

Do not go beyond your gambling budget, bet little amount of money if you want to continue to gamble for a long time. Do not gamble to make money.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 09, 2023, 11:04:02 AM
When luck isn't on your side, consider an immediate pause to prevent further losses.
If you have won too, it is good to stop gambling because the day that has been going good could be ended in losses.

Don't push your luck beyond the maximum acceptable losing streak. Waiting too long often results in significant losses.
Yes this is the time to lose more. Some people will become very emotional and lose all their money in bank or on a wallet.

What I did that has been so helpful is the gambling budget that I set which is 5% or less of my weekly income. It has been helping and the reason I have been reiterating it on this forum.
1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangers of trading on: October 09, 2023, 10:08:41 AM
You have discussed some ways a trader should avoid losses in trading, but I am surprised that you did not mention the sentence that a trader should not use more than the amount of money that he is capable of losing to trade. If little amount of money is used, trading emotion can be overcome. You need to also mention the strategies of using low amount to trade and ways of having low risk trading experience. You did not mention anything like not to leverage. There is nothing like averaging mentioned.
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: My best SPORTSBETTING advices! ⚽️ on: October 08, 2023, 02:48:22 PM
Yeah, I played like that before also, but I found my self losing more then I did winning, so I changed method and the new method worked perfect for me.
I am not talking about very high odds like over 2x, I am talking about a club to win or over 2.5 goal bets and something like that which can have odds from 1.5 to 2 odds. I lose more when I was using 1.02 odd. But when I use high odd of 1.5 to 2, I gamble less and I gain more than before. But if talking of 5x and above odds, that can be resulting to continuous losses.
1165  Economy / Gambling / Re: My best SPORTSBETTING advices! ⚽️ on: October 08, 2023, 02:37:13 PM
settle down with low odds
But the odd should not be too low. Low olds can deceive a gambler to use high amount of money to gamble and lose more money in a single bet.

I prefer low amount of money with high odd.

3. Single bet or double is the way to go, sometimes a triple. But not more, it always at least one favorite team that won't win that day.
Yes but there are sometimes I lower the money and accumulate many matches.

5. Set up a budget, never play with money you can't afford. and when you go into gambling, always go into it with the mentality that the money is gone, then it won't hurt you if you lose and  when you lose, because we all are losing time to time, but we just need to win enough to cover the losses.
This is plus one because it is what that is most important in gambling. Going beyond gambling budget means irresponsible gambling. The gambling budget should be very low in percentage. Like me I have 5% or less of my income as gambling budget, not more than the amount that I can spend on beer every weekend.
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can change lives on: October 08, 2023, 08:18:23 AM
The most simple but effective way I use to navigate my way in the market is the DCA method I use, accormulate as much Bitcoin as possible because the bull run will definitely change the history of your finances if you position your self right and wait patiently for the bull run to come .
Nice to DCA to be able to buy at varying prices. Bitcoin price is going to increase after next year halving. We have been waiting for this good period to come and it is not more than 7 months when bitcoin halving will occur.

This is no news, Bitcoin has the capacity to turn even the poor but well-informed people to be wealthy. It's all about the risk the person takes at that time that it's at low prices. It's still not late though.
People that make money with bitcoin are not likely poor but may not be rich either. People that invested in bitcoin are the once that are making money from it but poor people have other things to use money to do which may not let them invest in bitcoin as the money is not enough.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 07, 2023, 10:42:19 PM
_ Not planing there trades: there is a popular saying that he who fail too plan, plan to fail.
Before entering a trade, an entry point and exit point must be spotted if you want to succeed.
What if a trader has an exit point but the price of the traded coin not gotten to, as the market went in another direction

_ Don't make emotional driven decisions: Emotions like fear and greed can cloud our sense of reasoning and leads to impulsive action, just stay calm and stick to your plan.
To overcome emotion, you have to trade with the amount of money that you can afford to lose.

_ Not managing risk properly: this protect your capital, by using stop loss other, It minimize potential losses.
This is what traders commonly refer to, but I as a trader with 1x or averaging technic, I prefer not to use stop lose. There are times that the market do reverse, but this may not favor people that are using high leverage, and in that regard, using stop loss can be good.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling prediction for non fungible tokens- 100% NFTs are a gamble on: October 07, 2023, 10:13:26 PM
NFTs are not gambling. It is just about investing in them and waiting for their price to increase. That is investment. Some NFTs will increase in price. But NFTs are valueless things that are created but humans associating value with it, I do not buy NFTs. If I want to invest, I will prefer to invest in coins like bitcoin and if I want to gamble I will go to casino or bookie to gamble. This thread is not about gambling at all.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accumulation at all time high on: October 07, 2023, 09:57:20 AM
They have accumulated 71555 btc in less than 6 weeks. Is this a sign of coming bull run now ?
Some people will be waiting, thinking the price of bitcoin may fall. Even if bitcoin fall to $20000, those kind of people may still be waiting for the price to fall to $15000. It is better to buy now becuase bitcoin is going all-time-high. And bitcoin halving is getting closer everyday. You know what bitcoin halving is and how people are sentimental and buying bitcoin after halving which later lead to skyrocketed price. I do not think this is bull run for now, the price of bitcoin may still fall or not. But with doubts like this, it is good to DCA.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 08:02:03 AM
Take it or leave it, some part of me still want to make free money from gambling, even when I don't gamble every day, and while I am a very cautious gambler.
Point of correction, no free money from gambling. Gamblers use money to gamble and that makes it not free as they also sacrifice their time for it. But gambling should ntit be taken as a way of making money.

Some people are trying to hide behind the cotton, stating that they are gambling for the fun of it, I will like to ask them this question if I can get them to answer.
Just know that people are different. Like me I am gambling for fun. If you do not spend more than your gambling budget and which is not more than 5% of your weekly income, is that not fun enough?

Will you still participate if money is not involved? Many people will easily quit if all casinos are to be turned into no-money games, isn't it?

Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.
Agreed, but the money makes it different from other games, it makes it fun. If I am using just $0.5 for every bet, is that not fun enough? Although there are times I use martingale but still not beyond my gambling budget.

For addiction and people that gamble in a way they can not control their emotion, that is not fun. Using high amount of money to gamble caused that.
1171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 07, 2023, 07:10:13 AM
I don't know why this is sounding funny to me when I am supposed to sympathize with you for losing your money  Grin

But on a serious note, how will you not expect to lose money when you refused to get yourself a mentor? We are actually in a digital world where we can use our smart phone or pc to learn by watching tutorial videos and reading some related books on trading but you still need a physical teacher to put you through in some aspects. I ever try it before but everything went left and no one told me to look for a mentor before I attached myself to one. It wouldn't have taken you this long if you have been under a tutor from the beginning and even you lost would have been a little.
How is it funny to you? Or if something bad happens to someone seem to be funny to you? You need to read what you post again.

Trading is more than having a mentor, it is about you having discipline and not trading with high amount of money. If you think you can have a mentor and you never lose, you are deceiving yourself because it is not possible. Newbie traders will experience some losses and have more experience in trading and he will naturally develop strategies to avoid losses.
1172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 06, 2023, 07:43:15 PM
Learning how to trade will take some weeks. But learning how to use trading to make profit can take months or a year or more, although learning the strategies can not take more than weeks but learning how to control emotions can take months.

I learn trading myself and it took me some days, but I lost money to trading very well. I learn more and more and now better than before and it takes me more than a year.

One thing I know about trading is to never use the amount of money that you can not afford to lose to trade.
1173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of trading BTC pair? on: October 06, 2023, 11:16:54 AM
Altcoins are more volatile and that is why people will use lower amount of money to trade them which can make the fee low. But if you have enough bitcoin, you can trade bitcoin which its market is more predictable than some altcoins.

Know that some good traders are losing because they are trading shit coins, but you can also trade the altcoins and make money if you get it rightly.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provable fairness should be mandated by law! ONLY gamble in provably fair casino on: October 06, 2023, 10:02:45 AM
Most big online casinos that have dice, slots, roulette and other games based on randomness simply have a "certificate" that basically says results will be ransom Trust Us™.
I think you mean random not ransom as casinos games are using RNG to generate each outcome of a game.

Well, are we supposed to pretend that they don't KNOW provable fairness exists by now? Honestly between the last 10 years all companies capable making custom e-gambling games have become rich. But yet we don't see big casinos caring enough to implement trustless technology.
I have been gambling on many casinos, especially the ones on this forum and I like their results. Most of them are using third party games which is not provided directly by the casinos.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to introduce Bitcoin education in schools by 2024 on: October 06, 2023, 09:22:18 AM
I would love for children to be taught about economics or the decentralized economy, but a class on Bitcoin for children would be a little complicated.
If learning about bitcoin is complicated, then learning generally is complicated.  As for me, there is nothing heard or complex or complicated about learning about bitcoin. The students will be taught the elementary part of bitcoin which is not going to be hard at all.

It may be suitable for those at the university level with more technical details for students in colleges of computer and information technology, or for the teaching to be separate classes depending on the school age.
We hope that the teaching experience will be better than the adoption experience and will be far from suggestions like Chivo Wallet.
It is the elementary part that pupils can understand that would be taught according to their level in a way the pupils can understand. It is a good idea by El Salvadoran government.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my plan. on: October 05, 2023, 11:10:34 AM
Cold storage is better or use Electrum multisig wallet if you have two devices.

You can DCA bitcoin now when the price is low. You will see profit by 2024/2025. But if you see the price decreasing, do not sell for you not to sell at loss and for you not to regret that you sell because the price of bitcoin is going to increase and get the ATH.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 04, 2023, 09:17:30 PM
I think that by trading on my own I am just overtrading...I am looking for options to get trading ideas/trading signals etc to analyze those ideas and select only the best ones.
What options does one have to view trading ideas/signals from other professional traders?
Trading on your own is the best but you can try signals and see how they only care about their pockets. That would be when you will realized that there is nothing better than to have the knowledge and experience about how to trade on your own. But it is important for you not to use more than the amount of money that you can not afford to lose to trade.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pillow Fight League on: October 04, 2023, 06:50:42 PM
I believed it is a regional game. Pillow fight and slap fight, I will not even light to watch it because it would not be interested and it will be too brutal.
This is not the same as slap flight which is very brutal and I can not consider that as a sport but something else. You can go to YouTube to watch some of the videos about pillow fight and see how easy it seems.

Here are examples: https://youtu.be/xBbBOgQnp9M?si=coU_n_vJlgLw9N9g
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pillow Fight League on: October 04, 2023, 06:31:06 PM
I have not heard of pillow fight league before until today as I read this topic, I looked at some videos about it and I can see two people fighting in somewhere similar to boxing or wrestling stage with pillows. It is fun and if people can use it to gamble on bookies, I think it is good.
1180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 04, 2023, 06:21:18 PM
If they do have 80% accuracy, then anyone who uses them would become wealthy in a short time.
If you use signals to trade, you will call them scam after they give you signals and you noticed that you are losing like in gambling. Avoid them and learn how to trade. Use low amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade.

Do you use any crypto signals?
What I know crypto signal providers have used to earn money from victims in a way the victims given signals lost money at last. Can I pay signal providers when I know they only care about their pockets and not my profit? I can not.
