Clicking it every hour will disrupt your thinking process. You won't be able to concentrate on anything half decent. Fine if you are unemployed but then why are you unemployed in the first place...

Nothing is for free.
If one of market has 10% discount on milk, but you must go 10 times farer than comparing to your nearest shop, you still pay with your time and energy. Fact, maybe you have nothing better to do, but then you should calculate your extra earn - if you saved $1 but it costed you 1h, it means your wage is 1$/h. Maybe there are ways to earn more, ask yourself.

I do not know if we may say that free rolls are addictive - you must judge it yourself if you have problem with that, if you regret missed rolls. I hope you do not...

Current bitcoin free roll base reward is 5 satoshis

So if we have 100,000 RP and we use it all of them for BTC bonus at the rate of 1000 RP for 1000% Bonus then
1000% will give us 100 satoshis per roll

100 x 14 times per day = 1400 sats per day
So for consuming 100,000 RP it will take 100 days

1400 x 100 = 140000 sats which is 0.0014 BTC
Which means we will get just 0.0004 BTC extra if we go this way and will have to wait 100 days which is like 3.3 months

Obviously everyone has their own preferences but I will go the easy way and choose to get 0.001 BTC instead  Tongue Tongue

Unfortunately there are lot of "IFs".
- price must stay the same
- you must do some wagering/betting to keep it at 5sat
- 14 times every day for 100 days... huh no weekends ;-)

But of course maybe you will hit a few times more than base 5 sat if you have luck.
1163  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Installing my own Electrum server on: April 07, 2022, 01:33:47 PM
But currently ElectrumX is most popular version.
Imho ElectrumX is the most popular for "public" use. For local use it may be a bit of overkill. But actually that's only a feeling, I don't know that for sure.

I can understand why you think it's overkill for personal usage. But i'm not fan of lighter alternative Electrum Personal Server[1] since you need to enter each master public key (xpub, ypub or zpub) or address manually. electrs[2] might be best option for personal usage, but i never tried it.

I am now on electrs (with WSL/Debian), all is fine! DB synchronization took some time, for sure not 15 minutes - I cannot tell how much, because I left computer running and just checked a few hours later. There was no progress, no indication that sync is finished... I was only able to see what is the last processed block using Prometheus.
DB takes now around 35Gb.

But! finally you become independent and using rpc browser (like https://www.npmjs.com/package/btc-rpc-explorer) you may check any address you want.
EPS requires you to predefine list of addresses you want to browse/monitor (you must set static addresses or x/z/pub).

And, finally, I was able to connect Trezor Suite to electrs - I was not able to do the same with EPS.

In addition to this I am more or less dependent on the RP's these days. The target is to reach 100,000 and withdraw. So thats where my lottery goes really.

Do you buy WOFs for RPs or do you just collect them?
In the worst case, after WOF, you may get lottery ticket or GT; RP would mean no trade was done and sat would give instant trade - but I guess you prefer to have 100k RP, just to convert them all at the same moment.

BTC price goes down, so base rewards go up... now we have again 38sat/RP per roll.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 07, 2022, 08:11:21 AM
This was just wow actually, and if you see the high points of the game, they mostly belonged to Villareal too. Hitting the post, missing the goal not by much, and just look at the way the chances were created. I knew they were better than expected against Juventus but I thought this was more down to Juventus playing so terrible,,, but this is proof that Villareal deserve to be in the quarterfinals.

I still think Bayern will win big though.

Yes, it is more than probable. They just need "good old Lewandowski". Games like yesterday's does not help him in his travel to Madrid...
But we cannot say it was just a bad day, he was very well stopped/blocked by Villareal players.
1166  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Model One wallet and thoughts on: April 07, 2022, 07:55:09 AM
Simple, easy to use. Could be used as a U2F device, which is always a +
Check which coins you would like to use (https://trezor.io/coins/) because maybe lack of support for some of them you will find disappointing. For example - for Monero you must buy the other model, T.
But for simple usage One is more than enough. By default generated seed has 24 words (in T there is 12 words, you must use special tool from Trezor to create seed with 24 words), works flawlessly with Electrum, Metamask etc.
There are only two buttons (ok/cancel), so you must use 'on screen' pin input, not on device - device displays only the grid/numbers positions, but you enter pin using computer, which then unlocks wallet.

I am from Belgium and I don't think they will win any time soon a big trophee (Euro cup or world cup); they always seem to fall short against the big countries. They have a couple of the best players in the world (De Bruyne, Hazard, Courtouis, Lukaku, ...) but talent is not enough. With this generation, the upcoming world cup is one of the last chances to win it.

I really want them to win something big, I remember their fantastic race in 2018, if they would have win with France I am sure they would get the Cup.
Last year I had a feeling the team was in worst shape, at least Lukaku seemed to be tired.
You are right that it could be the last chance for that generation of Red Devils, but I will keep my fingers crossed.
1169  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pls More clarification on WIF private key format and A CHECKSUM is needed. on: April 06, 2022, 01:30:07 PM
It detects if you've written it down correctly. If you make a mistake in your 32 bytes private key, the checksum will be invalid which will make the WIF invalid. If you write the checksum incorrectly, the WIF will be invalid. In both cases, it's because there's mismatch between the SHA256(SHA256(private_key)) and the checksum.

Checksum in the form as it is used in WIF is enough for everyday life, but one should be aware of fact that it does not say definitively that provided WIF is correct or incorrect, as it is possible to have invalid (not the one expected) WIF and correct checksum. That's because we do not use the full checksum, but only the part, which increases number of collisions.
Base on that fact (rare checksum collisions) I wrote my WifSolverCuda.
Anyway, as I said, for everyday usage it is enough. If someone would write down his WIF and made a mistake / misspelled one more more characters, but kept checksum and receive a new WIF which is accepted by programs, I would suggest playing a lottery Wink

And one more remark - apart of checksum, we may say that we may have mistake in middle/end part of WIF for compressed key if (after decoding) checksum byte is invalid, as we know it should be always 01.

  • Trezor users who have never signed up to any newsletter claim to have received the phishing emails as well.

They could have a big problems if GDPR office will audit them. In EU penalty fees sometimes could be insane.

Belgium beside playing better which they are doing now from a lot of time,if they do not win an important trophy as a team ranked this high in the FIFA rankings then the good show is only to entertain the fans.If they don't win a trophy then all this generation of good players will soon be forgotten, winning an important trophy like the World Cup can be a huge achievement which for me these guys deserve and I am not a Belgium fan at all.

I agree, they definitively need a big victory. Last Championships were disappointing for them. But on the other hand they lost with champions - last year it was Italy, in 2018 it was France.

Fact: did you know that because in Belgium you have 2 national languages (French and Dutch, in small part of country there is also German), not to prefer one over other, players communicate in English?

Actually, Belgium are #2 on FIFA Ranking since last week. But I agree, KDB is amazing, for me it's the best midfielder in the world.

oh! Brazil, just a 6 points more! I have missed that.
I hope they will be back on top (if they just start playing serious games, not like the one against Burkina Faso last week)
1173  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Prefix Difficulty Calculator c# assistance please! Base code included in post. on: April 06, 2022, 08:23:13 AM

If, however, you would search for "tt", the difficulty drops by 75% because you're now searching for 4 different prefixes:
Code:
./vanitygen 1tt
Difficulty: 78508
./vanitygen -i 1tt
Difficulty: 19627
./vanitygen 1tt 1TT 1tT 1Tt
Next match difficulty: 19627 (4 prefixes)

Perfectly explained.

In other words, if you have case sensitive difficulty X, case insensitive difficulty will be X/(2^(number of [a-z] characters)).
1t 1T - 2^1 = 2 possibilities
1tT 1TT 1tt 1tT = 2^2 = 4 possibilities
1TTT 1TTt 1TtT 1Ttt 1tTT 1tTt 1ttT 1ttt = 2^3 = 8 possibilities etc.

Champions League Betting - Who's Going to the Semis?

The quarter-finals of the 2021-22 Champions League season are here! It's your last chance to wager on these matches:

Benfica vs Liverpool
Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid
Chelsea vs Real Madrid
Villarreal vs Bayern Munich

Oh, Champions League comes to the phase which causes lot of tensions in many houses - fights for tv remote and attempts to hide for 2 hours. Wonderful time.

I have used to be Atletico fan, so I hoped they defeat City, but as goal was scored by Kevin, I am fine. That guy is awesome, no wonder Belgium is now FIFA team #1.
Today we have 2 another games. Would it be a good day for Lewandowski?
1175  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Prefix Difficulty Calculator c# assistance please! Base code included in post. on: April 05, 2022, 07:15:08 PM
Wait, maybe I am missing something. If you want to have the same results as in VanitySearch why do not you reuse their algorithm?
For example
Code:
 it->difficulty = pow(2, 5*(prefix.length()-4));
for bech32 or
Code:
 it->difficulty = pow(256, prefix.length() - 1);
For p2sh

You will find that calculations in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JeanLucPons/VanitySearch/master/Vanity.cpp

Then there are minor updates if you search for several etc, but base values are like above.
1176  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BitCrack - A tool for brute-forcing private keys on: April 05, 2022, 03:09:49 PM
Hello everybody. The question arose.
How to determine between the two public keys which is bigger? In addition to the subtraction function.
Example.
123456789 private key is not known to us.
His public key.
025004d7d9c2a3b2d675ada618d9ceda55d1f6a9fdf263e24daa8cbea586af2b2b

And accordingly his rival.
12345678a private key is not known to us
His public key.
02fde2347f83e21198fc48b918f5657c188ffcdd8611b39b987230addb91d05d80

Thanks for the answer.

02fde.... > 02500, so 02fde bigger

If you have 2 points, in 2 dimensions, (1,3) and (3,1), which one would be „bigger”?
I am afraid you have wrong understanding what point is, and it comes from lack of knowledge.

I want to report that during the captcha phase in the freespin interface, sometimes there is the google recaptcha, sometimes another one I don't knwo the name.

When there is the google recapthca, a red message says "to site owner, invalid site key", the captcha is not functional. One or two refresh of the page usually loads the other non-google captcha that works.

I confirm the issue. It is very rare, but it happens. For me, single refresh usually solves the problem.

And one more extra remark - uBlock Origin sometimes complains (maybe it is just a my configuration) about 'aws tracking' url - the most probably 'tracking' word is not very liked by the plugin.

Hi,
It is very simple script, what do you need exactly? Description how it works?

Let's define 2 groups:
G1 = characters "234567890ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQ"
G2 = characters "RSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvxyz"

Ignore the first character.
Check second character: if it belongs to G1, set value as 23; it it belongs to G2, set value as 1354, if it is "1" set value as 256

Check each character, from 3rd to the end, and:
if character is "1", and there were only "1"s from the 3rd position, multiply value * 256. It there was already other character than "1", multiply value by *58
if character belongs to group G1, multiply value by * 23 (and remember that there was other value than "1", so multiplier for "1" is changed)
if character belongs to group G2, multiply value by * 58 (and remember that there was other value than "1", so multiplier for "1" is changed)

or you have results and want to find formula to produce them?
Please, explain what is your problem

It would be useful if you post (for example one the first page) the list of already processed files / dictionaries / sources (and maybe size of dic/nb of files)
It is easier to check in one place than read the whole topic and look for filenames.
