1161  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet stealing my funds on: April 10, 2023, 06:49:35 AM
I got issue with cloudbet i deposited 1.6 weth instead of 1.6 eth and been month they not refunding me
Now eth and weth same address as erc20 am a coder all they need access private key of ny wallet eth and refund me been 3 weeks not willing to do that

Here proof of my money in their wallet
https://etherscan.io/token/0xc02aaa39b223fe8d0a0e5c4f27ead9083c756cc2?a=0x74174f37d9b56783eff35dcf86e844dffd2e0073

Since they control private keys of eth its so easy to refund and almost month no will to refund me i did raise this to Curaçao eGaming ("CEG") and did file complaint

If anyone here knows anyone in cloudbet director or anyone in power please let me know this is day light robbery
Also am diamond vvip holder for 4 years with them they should address me way better instead of them doing nothing .

Unbelievable i wake up today 10/4/2023 i see 1.6 eth credited to my cloudbet !!!!

Now thats a resolution as honest man i like this even it took month ! Late better then never !!

I appreciate all the comments and feedbacks from people here am sure this topic here made things faster for resolution as iv let them know about it to my vip manager !

I will move on with this incident and continue playing with then like it never happened the fact they show the refund gesture means alot !

Yeah you can continue to play at cloudbet but remember to deposit the right amount in the right chain. I can understand your frustration when you deposited 1.6weth instead of eth and had to wait for a whole month to get that money back. If this issue was resolved earlier, you could have bet with this amount and perhaps double it by now (As you are experience VVIP holder at cloud bet).

Good that everything's settled peacefully, and you can change the subject to (Resolved: Cloudbet stealing my funds) and lock this thread.
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🛑 Sherbet.com - #1 Social Casino - 75 No-Dep FREE Spins - $500 Deposit Bonus 🤑 on: April 09, 2023, 11:29:39 PM
Indeed to get the free spins, it is not required to deposit but in order to wager the winning from the free spins, deposit is required.
Are you talking about Sherbet.com no-deposit free spins? You can complete the wagering requirement by playing with the free spin winnings, they aren't asking for deposits in that case. But you have to make a deposit of $20 at least in order to make the free spin winnings withdrawable. The deposit can be made after completing the 45× wager.

But still this promotion cannot be considered as a 'no deposit bonus'.

There is no way that you can withdraw your money made from free spin by first depositing the money at sherbet, so we should not call it a "No Deposit Bonus". If you do not want to withdraw your winnings, you may not deposit but if you have won and need to withdraw, the deposit is required.

I think the term No Deposit is cleverly used by Sherbet in order to attract more gamblers as people get excited that they can get bonuses without depositing. I am sure there must be many new signups seeing this promo of the No Deposit bonus.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving only 1 year away on: April 09, 2023, 11:09:30 PM
Honestly I am not too hopeful with the halving this time. I think bitcoin does repeat it's patterns but it doesn't repeat patterns in the very obvious way because you will see a lot of influx of capital if people think after halving market always jumps up. I think there will be a big all time low that might come after the halving and the only market might start to go up. I think bitcoin obviously never repeate itself completely.

This is interesting as you are suggesting that this time is different, and bitcoin may not behave the way it has behaved after the halving in all those previous years.
Well your point is right in the sense that there is no hard and fast rule that bitcoin should enter into a bull season after the halving and make an all time high. Bitcoin has been doing this in previous halving and it may or may not do it this time.

However, when we see the economic indicators plus the financial market conditions and how the fiat currency is devalued, the world banking sector is collapsing and the dollar printing machine will again be on, I think we might see the biggest bull season that has ever been before.
1164  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ask about The Best Wallets for Bitcoin ? on: April 09, 2023, 10:52:08 PM
Which Bitcoin wallet is the best?
A good bitcoin wallet should first choose a wallet from a trusted and reputable provider that can provide a better level of security. I have used Electrum so far it is safe, what matters is how carefully we keep the correct seed phrase.

If you do not have a lot of funds, the electrum wallet will be the safest and the best bitcoin wallet. Also if you want to store large amount of bitcoin you may go for the hardware wallets. Some people have very little money and still they opt for hardware wallets. Anyways it is their choice.

So far I can still used it without facing any problems. So sometimes I wonder about other Electrum users who complain because they say their account was hacked. But for me, it's proven and tested.
Actually, even if the wallet has a good security factor, there is still no guarantee that it cannot be hacked. if the user does not take appropriate security measures, such as keeping the seed phrase, password secret, not installing suspicious software, and avoiding actions that may invite security risks. If this is not fulfilled, no matter how good the wallet is, there will definitely be more people who will complain.

The Secuity of the wallet lies in our own hand. In case of Electrum wallet, we should download and install the wallet from the official site. Before installing we should verify the GPG signatures so we know that file we downloaded has been signed by the real owner. This is useful because if the official electrum site is compromised and the hacker replaced his version of electrum on the page, you will get a signature mismatch error. Although this process is a bit complicated, but it is worth spending the time on it and save yourself from any trouble.
1165  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet hacked, all funds stolen on: April 09, 2023, 10:34:24 PM
It all makes more sense now why a hardware wallet is far safer to all these software wallets.
Hardware wallets are safe because the keys are stored offline, any software wallet that the keys are generated offline and the wallet software kept in an airgapped device that would never be connected to the internet is as safe as a hardware wallet. Protecting your backup is also very important, and it does not matter the wallet that is used, if your recovery phrase is stolen, your money would be stolen.
Next time, don't dump all your savings in a single wallet
Using a multisig wallet or more than one wallet is good and safer, but you have more backups to protect.

No matter whether you have a hardware wallet or software wallet, you need to protect it, and keep the seed phrases safe and at a secure place. Even if you got a hardware wallet and someone in your home has access to the seed phrase and the wallet itself, anything can happen.

and if I may ask, does your wife have any idea about your PSW or seed phrase?
Hey, do not open a pandorax box here Cheesy Cheesy.

I don't think it is a pandora box but a reality. How many times it is our near and dear ones who took away our money and we blame the software company developing the wallet to be not up to the standards?
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: April 09, 2023, 11:32:18 AM
   -  Active support from their support is more okay for me than from different social media platforms. Because it seems more dangerous in my opinion.
yes, I agree with you. active and responsive support is more convenient for gamblers. instead, they had to go to social media to contact a casino representative to solve our problem. it is very uncomfortable.
let social media be the marketing ground for recruiting new members. and support on the platform requires experienced people to make the service feasible and enjoyable. especially for online casinos, all problems are handled quickly and will be the best service.
Because of this mixed up that is why many casinos are now closing their other communication channels and concentrating on online support alone, we have some casinos like even in this forum who have locked their ANN thread and instructed players who have any issues to contact their support for help going forward,  while that could be bad for their marketing and development its also bad for their reputation since many will lose interest in them and wanting to play on only casinos that have an active representative here on the forum because it boosts players confident to know that they can easily reach out to a representative here even though the ticket is raised with the support.

But then as a player, the only channel of communication should be through support, because their part of the security team and they can give you an accurate and on-time results if your case is not serious, but through representatives or promoters, the same issues may take longer for it to get resolve.

Which casino has closed their ANN thread here on bitcointalk except for owl.games? I do not know what the reason for their decision may be but generally speaking, all the casinos which have their Ann thread here are active and none of them seems to leave this forum.

Why would they leave this forum when they are getting good business from here? a good casino should have a presence on all social media platforms, on all gambling related forums, and also be active on their support on their website. Leaving any marketing space unattended will mean less business and fewer players for that gambling site.
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: Past Experiences with histakes.io ? on: April 08, 2023, 11:56:23 PM
Hi, does anyone have any past experience with histakes.io?

To tell you truth, i heard this casino name for the very first time and therefore I never played at this site.

I usually play only at those casinos which have a presence on bitcointalk. The reason for this is there are too many casinos out there these days and we never know which ones are good and which one are scams. Even sites like trust pilot may not give you true feedback and some feedbacks are even paid ones.

Those gambling sites who have their ANN here, it's easy to know about those sites and how good they are by reading the comments on those ANN threads.
1168  Economy / Gambling / Re: Limited in every bookmaker on: April 08, 2023, 11:39:03 PM
Unfortunately, I dont have idea where to make a betting account,
I was limited at almost every crypto or online bookmaker.

If you have losing account on bk88, betnomi, roobet or even some normal online bookmaker, reply me here or in inbox.

I have an offer you can't refuse

May we know the reason why you were put on a limited status in every gambling casino ?

Sometimes getting banned on a gambling site is normal but if you experience this on all sites, this is not normal. This means you are doing something which violates the terms and condition of the casino.

You need to identify your mistake first other even if you buy gambling sites accounts, they will get limited too, if you repeat the same mistake.
1169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 08, 2023, 11:20:52 PM
Before one set out to gamble, truly there is a need to settle the risk aspect of it and even though we gamble with the hope of making winning, we must also expect losses all g the line, because that is the nature of gambling you win some, you Lose some that is the way it goes.
Unfortunately, not all gamblers think about this, friends, because they start gambling with hope and think that gambling can make large amounts of money easily and quickly, but they don't think about the risk of losing and losing money with a larger percentage than winning.
People with this kind of thinking will usually only get defeat after defeat because they cannot accept the losses that they get so they want to chase victory.
But thank you, friend, because with your delivery this has indirectly given understanding to those who gamble just to take advantage.

If gamblers do not take into account the risk associated with each game, I am afraid that they will never be able to make money in gambling. The gambling houses know exactly that and they make full use of this situation when a gambler invests more in any bet. Even a bet with odds of 1.01 favors the gambling house because even if the gambler wins this easy bet, he or she will get the minimum amount of profit.
1170  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: April 08, 2023, 05:08:20 AM
There is no doubt there are a lot of bad losers out there, many gamblers actually believe they can beat the casinos at their own games and when they do not accomplish their goal they think they have been scammed, however as soon as you read their complains about the casino you can easily realize that they have a completely mistaken idea of what gambling is about, and as such it does not matter how much they complain and how loud they try to be as no one will listen to them.
That's true. People with anger issues tend to follow that pattern when they face losses in gambling, some do it purposely while others simply can't get control over their anger and are compelled to yell it out at someone so they do it on the casino instead of blaming themselves for their losses, we see a lot of examples for that even in the forum.

Such people need help, literally. Those who know that they are mistaken and blame the casinos for their losses with no anger issues are useless people and deserve to be ignored, while others with anger issues need help to recover from this.

This just means that you need to be a disciplined gambler in order to be successful in gambling.

People are usually looking for a good gambling site where they can join, deposit and earn a good income, They forget that there is no way where you can play and win unless and until you have your own set of rules. You need to do emotionless gambling and there should be no element of greediness.

Yeah, you need to find a trusted gambling site and there are so many of them, the winning in gambling will usually depend upon your money management skills.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: Spammers and Burst Posters only on: April 07, 2023, 11:34:29 PM
Lately I have noticed lots of complaints regarding burst posting and spammers, IDK what do you guys think about a burst poster or a spammer, but I have an average of 8-12 hours a day staying in the forum and with a 15-30 minutes post gap I should say I can make at least 15-20 posts a day depending on my mood. Though for sure there will be people here saying depending on a topic or "you don't care about the topic as long as you can post" thingy.

Why do you consider everyone a spammer who posts a certain large number of posts each day ? There can be people who may post 10 or 12 (maybe more) posts per day and yet all of those posts are constructive ones. There can be a person who post only 3 or 4 posts a day with 1 hour gap and yet his posts may be useless and spam.

In order to identify the spammers, Look for the Quality of posts first over the quantity of posts. Yeah, I agree that burst posting will affect the quality of posting as you won't be spending much time writing / reviewing your posts.

(Edit. If someone happens to give merits to this thread, I'll be using it to help our local section Pilipinas to generate merit cycle. As it happens that our local section is active but the merit cycle isn't, besides that, we also don't have merit source due to various complications. Thanks in advance)

I don't think it is the right way and it indirectly suggests that you are asking for merits but telling where you may spend them. If people like your post, they will merit it and you can spend them wherever you like. Smiley
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: April 07, 2023, 11:07:42 PM
So let's hope that we will see FED cutting interest rates in June. Good luck to everyone BTC Wink

The Interest rates can't go up forever and the US government has already hinted that it will stop the increase in interest rates in the near future. As soon as it is done, the money will start to flow in assets other than the dollars and people will buy bitcoin as keeping money in dollars may not be profitable.

Log out your account in forum, turn off computer in a few months and come back in 2024. I bet my life if you won't see Bitcoin has any price higher than $30,000. I believe it will have very higher price than $30,000 in 2024, any month in 2024.

With this vision, why do I have to care about when Bitcoin will pump, soon or late. I don't care about FED decision on interest rates in 2023 and 2024, it's their job and Bitcoin has its job too. I have my job too, working and holding my bitcoin.

Yes, bitcoin will have a bull season after the next halving, so if you are able to hold bitcoin by the end of 2024 or early 2025, you are likely to see all time high prices of bitcoin. However, one thing i should note that it is not that bitcoin has to pump after halving, the economic indicators will also favor bitcoin which includes lower interest rates, US printing more money, devaluation of dollars and lot of other factors.
1173  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🛑 Sherbet.com - #1 Social Casino - 75 No-Dep FREE Spins - $500 Deposit Bonus 🤑 on: April 05, 2023, 04:41:21 PM

Well, everything that says "Free" in a casino is not how the word or the concept of the word encompasses it, rather they will mean "free but with conditions" and these conditions greatly limit the majority of players when they say free they interpret it as a gift that the casino gives them and that it is also withdrawable, that is what the casinos do not understand, and by using those words they make many people upset and start the problems, just like with the bonuses, because I Personally, I have a very different concept of "bonus" from what is applied in casinos, which doesn't add up to me, but now at least I know how it is, those things I think are the ones that start conflicts.

I would say that nothing is "Free" in a casino. Even if the casino gives you bonuses or free money to play, they won't let you withdraw it without demanding a tough wagering requirement which 99% of the people will fail to fulfill. Sometimes the casino gives you free money on your deposit and we think that this is for us but infact, the casino uses it as a tool to get more deposits from the gamblers and the casino owners know that 90% of the gamblers will lose everything while wagering.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy bought more bitcoin on: April 05, 2023, 03:50:36 PM
this news impact price of bitcoin ? if yes, then may be they transfer coins from other wallet to pump bitcoin significantly and dump on high price (just a random thought but, before this tweet came out the price also risen up maybe they bought in real)

many times they tweet about new purchase of bitcoins.

it's nice they are DCA ing and now the average price of buying is ~$29000,  they started accumulating in 2020 (https://buybitcoinworldwide.com/microstrategy-statistics/) and they also bought in bull run when bitcoin was very expensive. and not average price is very cheap.
that's the power of DCA,

I do not believe that MicroStrategy buys bitcoin to manipulate the market or to become a whale who can pump or dump a coin.
The main purpose of MicroStrategy is to keep on buying Bitcoin BTC on every dip and accumulate it for the long term. They have a vision on how Bitcoin will become a mainstream currency and how much it can gain in price as the adoption of Bitcoin BTC will increase worldwide.

Another thing is that MicroStrategy is the only institute that buys bitcoin at all prices, and they never get panic even if the bitcoin price is lower than their buying price.
1175  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Predictor bot on: April 05, 2023, 02:06:04 PM
Hello everyone! It was launched new crypto bot in telegram. It monitors round-the-clock BTC wallets of whales / people with insider information. When majority of them buy / sell BTC at the same time, bot notices users. These pumps / collapses are short and usually the price after 20-30 minutes returns, but main feature here is that these pumps / collapses are guaranteed, so to earn here, you should trade with leverages 10x-20x. This project in the beginning was only for developers. But after some time we decided to share this project with others and created telegram bot. You can read more in the bot itself.
So, the bot: https://t.me/predictor_project_bot

I don't believe in these prediction bots as none of the bot and humans can predict the pump and dump of bitcoin or any other altcoin. Also when the boy will see an unusual buying or selling of any coin, the pump and dump are already done and the bot just notifies you of what happened in the recent past.

I know there can be many wrong intentions associated with the bot.  Are you selling this bot for a price?
Even if it is free, I would caution everyone not to try and risk their crypto.
1176  Economy / Economics / Re: Ditch the Dollar on: April 05, 2023, 11:52:48 AM
I think these trade agreement between these nations have some political undertone. It is clear that China is leading an economic war to whittle down the financial influence of the United States. I support the idea of using local currency for international trade because it helps to reduce the cost of such transactions and also eradicate the influence the dollar has over these economies. I am pained by the amount most developing nations have to spend on international trade because of the dominance of some currencies. These expenses would have been used to provide basic amenities for these poor nations. But these policies should be done with good intentions and not just to score political points.

The dollar has been the mainstream currency for all countries if they want to trade with each other. Due to this reason, every country kept the dollar reserve with them, and the more the country have dollars with them in reserve, the richer they were considered.
Also, the US knew this fact, and they kept on printing money which did not make the dollar value too low, although inflation does increase when you print more dollars.

However, now when countries are using other currencies, this means that demand for the dollar will decrease considerably globally, and their currency value will be devalued. The world economic system is changing rapidly.
1177  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to buy Udemy courses with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? on: April 05, 2023, 11:37:56 AM

At https://udemyonsale.com/, we’re proud to offer you the ability to buy Udemy courses with your favorite cryptocurrencies. Whether you prefer Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or other digital currencies, you can use them to purchase the courses you need to take your skills to the next level.

It's hard to trust on your site as anyone comes up with this plan and copies the courses (thumbnails Only) from udemy and put them on sale to be purchased via bitcoin. On the Udemy site, when the course is sold, the originator of the course also get a percentage of the money, how do you link the creator of these courses to get their money share without officially linking the site with Udemy  Huh
That's a red flag for me

The other issue would be what is going to stop Udemy from getting your website put off for legal reasons?

Better to wait a few days and see if the site still remains active. Also, we can contact Udemy support query about this site?

the main audience of the site is for countries which udemy banned them. me my self bought more than 1000$ in courses and just because I was from Iran my account got closed without any compensation (although due to recent lift of sanctions on Iran they should provide access, but I think just banning and taking the money is sweeter).
So in short I believe everyone should be able to educate in the field they love , if you have access to udemy just buy it from there and if not we want to help.

So this means that you have bought the udemy courses worth 1000$ or even more nad have uploaded in on your site and selling them. I don't know the original authors or the udemy site can claim copy right issues on your site ?
Anyways my question is that are you selling the courses with the same fee as sold on udemy or you are giving these courses on a discount.

Still you have a new site and people might not be confident sending money to you, why not vouch one or two users, so they are allowed to buy one course for free and share their reviews here.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 11:12:37 PM
The best time to gamble should be first when you have interest in gambling, having enough money you wish to spend on gambling and less busy on other activities that could serve a distraction to your gambling, once you can have all these together at once, you have every freedom it takes to freely gamble to any extent as you wish, because in gambling, there's always fun, also you make use of your mental and physical skills to enjoy gambling on certain games.

Gambling requires attention and peace of mind so that you don't have emotions overridden in your games and bets. Due to this, the best time to gamble is when you are free and have no work or tensions in your mind. For sure, you need to have money for gambling as without money there is no way you can gamble. It is never recommended to get loans to gamble, as it will put you in added pressure to win because you have to repay the loan.

Finally, I would say that gamble when you are happy as that might be the moment when luck is with you and you have experienced some wins in gambling. The major factor is luck, if you are a lucky person, you may win in every situation.  Wink
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto traders beaten by girls on: April 04, 2023, 10:54:06 PM
"Singaporean women ‘outperforming’ men in crypto trades, survey reveals"
https://cointelegraph.com/news/singaporean-women-outperforming-men-in-crypto-trades-survey-reveals

The dawn of mankind is officially here. A recent poll from Singapore revealed that women managed to outperform men in the manliest games of all - crypto trading:
"As per the survey data, 76% of women reported either making money or breaking even on their crypto investments, compared to just 72% of men"

Since it looks like the answers were self-reported, there's a chance that women may not be telling the truth, to make themselves look better. But maybe there's something in the female approach to trading that would explain it (i.e. higher risk aversion?).

Link to the original survey: https://www.independentreserve.com/blog/news/independent-reserve-cryptocurrency-index-irci-singapore-2023
There's a downloadable pdf, they're asking for name/email but don't verify, so you can put anything.

Maybe women have better control over their emotions, perhaps they don't over leverage, or they don't put their hard earned excessive money in a single trade. That might be the reason that women traders are more successful in trading as compared to the men traders.

Also, if the see at the percentage, the difference between the women traders and the men traders in only 4% which is not so big difference.  Of course this data does not include the 100% of the traders so based on only this data i would say that there isn't much difference between both the genders when it comes to crypto trading.
1180  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: April 03, 2023, 11:33:03 PM
Some people kick against someone taking loan to invest in cryptocurrency I've not been a wise idea or why decision but from the way I am seeing taking loan to invest in Bitcoin I do see it as a wise idea because the money used for the investment can bring up another money so I don't support that decision of some people go decline or reject someone who borrowed money to invest for Bitcoin

Well, it has always been told not to take a loan to invest in bitcoin but what if someone does not have money to invest in bitcoin, but they also want to buy bitcoin and get an advantage when the prices reach high prices? Everyone wants to invest in bitcoin and change their fortune.

I think if bitcoin is at lower prices like below 25K or 20K, that may be the right time to get some loans and invest in bitcoin for the long term. Make sure, you do not accept to return loans anytime earlier than 2 or 3 years. In this case, you are surely gonna get the benefit. However most people get loans to buy bitcoin when they see bitcoin at all time high and they do this only because of the hype in social media, in that case, they will never be able to pay back the loan.
