841  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: July 31, 2023, 12:01:10 AM
Currently, I am using Electrum 4.3.4, which is not the latest one. But I am okay with it.

First things first, you are worried about the security of your wallet, but at the same time you are ok to use the previous version of the Electrum and not want to upgrade it. Do you know that every new version comes with some sort of security enhancement or at least remove any vulnerabilities found in the previous version.

Yes, if the computer is malware effected, or you share your seed with anyone, you may lose your funds but do the basis first.

Latest Electrum version is Electrum-4.4.5 which was released on June 20, 2023. Download it ASAP if you haven't done already.
842  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is It Normal For A Site To Ask For Your Wallet Address? on: July 30, 2023, 06:50:14 PM
I want to transfer funds from my Bank of America account into Atomic Wallet.
However, there are 7 different USDCoins.

I would suggest not to use Atomic wallets as it has been compromised in the past and people stopped recommending it now a days. There are much better secure wallets which you may use instead.

Secondly given them the USDC public wallet address is safe because no harm can be done if you give the public address to anyone. Only you need to safe guard your private key and i am sure you are already aware of it.

By the way, i still not get why did you got this email from the Atomic Wallet ? What will they make sure even if you tell them your public address  Huh
843  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin expected (implied) volatility below 50: Sign for a bull run? on: July 30, 2023, 05:23:42 PM
Option traders are as confident as never before (since 2019) that the current price is fair. This is in my opinoin a bullish sign or at least a sign that no crash is ahead, but of course external events could always change the picture.

We all know that halving is near and, on every bitcoin move, you will say people saying that this is a bull season start time. They will link every bitcoin pump, dump or no volatility to the sign of the start of the bull season.

If we see the past data, we will see that there is a major bitcoin crash very near to halving, last time it was a covid crash. I am not saying that we will see another major crash before the start of the bull season, but we still cannot say that the bull market is officially started.

Seeing the price action, bitcoin needs a weekly confirmation over 32K and then we may say that we are in a proper bull trend.
844  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Travel to the Caribbean with BTC on: July 30, 2023, 12:32:47 PM
We are hosting our first Roatan Bitcoin Experience tour.  Roatan is an island in the Caribbean and it is located off the coast of Honduras (central america). We have been a mission to make Roatan the Bitcoin Island of the Caribbean and so far it's been amazing. If you would be interested in something like this. Reach out to me. The first one is set to start September 4th and its for 11 days. Bitcoin is widely accepted here on Roatan and we have a big and great Bitcoin community.

It is difficult for me to go on this tour though i would love to go there one day. By the way, can you tell us what are you charging for these 11 days visit and what will be services you are going to offer in the package ( as i think that you are the organization of this tour Roatan bitcoin tour from your post).

Also, if you can share the experience of the first tour somewhere near the end of September will be great for everyone who are thinking to join in the future.

And I guess since it's a Bitcoin tour, you will be charging in bitcoin and not in the local currency. Smiley
845  Economy / Services / Re: I need Pertime online income platform. Perday [$5-20] on: July 30, 2023, 11:42:51 AM
$600 is the maximum you can earn here from just creating posts (but you need to develop your knowledge of Bitcoin)

It's hard to earn through signature campaigns as he is just a Jr Member and it may take many months before he can rank up, and get selected in any campaigns. But again, nothing is impossible, but everything requires hard work and time.

Of course sir, I am very happy to receive a merit given by you. You have inspired me a lot by giving me a merit sir.
You have instilled in me a hope that I can, I will. Really sir I am very happy to get that merit. I have a request to you sir. Looking at the posts for those with small IDs like me to inspire them.

I am really happy sir .
Sir you will be by our side to raise us.

You just become a Jr Member. This is just the beginning; you will get a lot more happy moments on the forum. Also, I will suggest you to check Fivver and see if you can offer any services. If you are a good writer maybe you can start your article writing service. It is you hwo have to develop a skill and then keep on trying on different freelancing platforms and you will get success one day if you are honest to yourself and a hard worker.

very cool Theymos, Thanks for this piece as I finally know where I belong currently, the next ladders of recognition to climb in this prestigious forum as well as what it takes, and how to get there. There's lots of work to be done. This calls for serious commitment to learning, contributing and advancing in rank in this forum. Being properly informed is a great tool of guidance for my journey to the top in this honorable forum. Thanks once again.

I just saw your post history and you started well as a newbie and try to help and get knowledge from the forum. The forum is a great learning place if you have this intention.

As you move along, the merits will come automatically, and you will rank up slowly and steadily. You do not need to worry about the merits, rather you should be more focused on getting used to the rules of the forum so that your account does not become restricted in case of any violation unintendedly.

847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Way to explain what is the bitcoin on: July 30, 2023, 04:24:00 AM
Btc is cup money is liquid the water and Banks are from the word like a River bank.
So money currency is water and btc IS the cup all assets gold btc and other crypto are the cups where the money the water flowing in.

Those who got cups to collect the water when it's raining those got most of the water so to speak they got most of the money.
If u sell btc early it means you empty your cup ...btc is big cup small coins smaller cups they full faster then biggest cup the bitcoin.

Those who got cups when its raining they collect the most of the money more water more cups needed to collect water.

For a moment think that the other person do not know anything about Bitcoin and giving such examples will further confuse him.

To start with, you should tell that Bitcoin is digital money and try to compare it with paper money. This way the person may understand quickly and may not remain in the puzzle. After giving some introduction of Bitcoin, you can give him some basic Bitcoin videos or article links and if he/she will be keen to know more about it, they will definitely study about it.
848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for newbies on: July 29, 2023, 08:28:22 PM
Learning to trade in crypto is not as easy as imagined by beginners who are just starting to enter crypto trading. There are many things that must be studied seriously and because even in analyzing there are also many factors and indicators that we must learn and master.

There is a misperception that trading is an easy job, and anyone can do it even without learning. That is the reason why most people usually lose in trading and very few make good money through crypto trading.

If you want to become a doctor, Engineer or IT professional, you spend a lot of time getting the skills and on education. But why is it that we come to trade the world financial markets and think we can succeed without having any knowledge or experience?

As per my experience, even if you got complete knowledge, you are still a newbie in the financial field until you have some good experience to compete with the guru's of the market.
849  Economy / Reputation / Re: Give your ratings on: July 29, 2023, 07:35:25 PM
I don't really wanna bug anyone for review to merits my post but is just a simple truth I need to know that you are increasing that is to say "Yes you are gradually changing for good" or "Put more efforts while making post in this section of the board" but however, if you feels they are worth the effort being put on those posts then you can spare some merits to it and give back your ratings in this thread then I would know where to make my adjustment.

I just saw your posts in the first couple of pages of your profile and it seems that you are doing a good job. Also, the merits you received, and you spent in the last 120 days indicate that you are a good contributor to the forum.

Please I don't mean any insult and I wouldn't want anyone to start attacking me, I just need this to make me happy tonight as I already had a very bad day today, so needed someone to rate me and cheer me up.
Love you all

Whatever the reason for the bad day on the other day, I wish you keep happy all the time. Well, i found it an interesting way on how you choose to change your mood Smiley

And again I made this topic self moderated as I won't take any hate words from anyone just as I had explained earlier any hate speech leads to immediately deletion.

Even if it was not moderated one, I don't think there is anything wrong with your posting, that anyone can point fingers. Instead, you are much better than many of the posters of the forum.
Also when you know you are good, then you're good. No need to get confirmations.
850  Other / Meta / Re: how do mod get selected? do they get paid? on: July 29, 2023, 07:04:10 PM
You can ask questions to know about forum, but you have to maintain a limit, it is not polite to look into other people's pockets. There is no need to ask questions like how much money mods earn. No one will stop you if you ask questions, but you should have the thought to ask yourself what questions I am really asking. Your other question is fine anyone can ask this question out of interest, and you already have the appropriate answers from the community.

I remember a famous saying that "Do NOT ask a Man his Pay and Women her Age" and i think OP should respect that.  Smiley

This question has been in my mind for, like, more than 1 or 2 months, just after I joined this platform. And I never tried to find answers because I thought it was none of my business, but I was still excited to know about it. And today I have at least some of my answers. That are Yeah, Moderators do get paid (I thought they might have volunteered for the job for free; yeah, I know these are some childish thoughts). But your provided links also enhanced my knowledge, which I had never thought about before.

Well, it is obvious that moderators get pays as it is a full time job and who has time to do such work without any incentive? Also, there is a difference between doing the job voluntarily without getting paid as you can get relax a bit and doing the same thing with pay as then it becomes a responsibility.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Casino Slot Streamers on: July 29, 2023, 12:06:41 PM
Here I found a list of Top 10 Casino Slot Streamers which includes Corinna Kopf ,Tyler Faraz Niknamm, Flávio Fernandes and many others.

Do you guys follow the casino streamers and are they fun to watch? Or do you think that playing casino slots yourself is more fun?

While these streamers may earn a good amount of money through streaming, they sometimes may become inspirational to the gamblers which may lead the normal gamblers to gamble more or become addicted too in some cases.

Thoughts Huh

JUST IN - 🇺🇸 US Congressman Brad Sherman on #Bitcoin: "I don't believe that Saratoshi Nagamoto was innovative." https://t.co/qTWnndaaem

https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1684220413021155331?t=QBbWfL_o9A5mm5_fWGq71A&s=19

Mr. Sherman indicates " Saratoshi Nagamoto"

But who is Saratoshi Nagamoto?

Those who can't spell the name Satoshi Nakamoto correctly, how can we give them the right to decide the fate of Bitcoin???

The opinion of Mr. Brad Sherman should not matter to the Bitcoiners.  Cool

856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 26, 2023, 06:26:38 PM
What will they say next? The amount you send to us is not near what we asked for? Then they will ask for another transaction. This time they will say that you can not send the missing amount as that is too small to be considered as a transaction. Then they will ask for the fee with full amount that they will give you. The moment I saw that they asked you to calculate the fee amount, this is what came to my mind.

There's no way this is a legit thing. It screams scam right to your face. What you have in that wallet/account, consider it lost. Don't try to get it back or listen to them. Don't put a penny in that thing.
Move on to something new and consider this a lesson. Don't make the same mistake again.

The scammers know that the people have become intelligent, and they need to come with new ways to scam people, the ways which do not look scam at the first sight like asking to pay for taxes etc. Some people will find these things legit and they may pay these scammers keep their business running. Sad

Some sites may also give you free money and ask you to deposit certain amount as a proof that you are a human and not a robot. In shorts, many scams are being taking place in cryptocurrency world and one need not to be greedy and do not fall for any offer which seems too easy to get the money.

Remember making money is always hard and usually easy ways to earn money will lead to scam.
857  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CBDC in Russia on: July 26, 2023, 05:57:40 PM
From August 1, the law will come into force, but CBDC won't work everywhere and it is not yet clear how this will work in practice.

I do not understand the idea of CBDC. The country does not want bitcoin to be legalized but since they see the people's interest in crypto coins, they decide to launch their own CBDCs. The government control CBDC with no control over the supply is a no threat to bitcoin.
Also when all the countries do not have their CBDC, how will they operate within the countries? One contury want to trade in fiat while other in CBDC  Huh  Or will the people be allowed to buy bitcoin through CBDC ?

I don't see this model working well as of the developments till now Huh
858  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 26, 2023, 05:00:49 PM
I admire your trust in the casinos suggested by the community. But that doesnt mean you shouldnt do your homework before working with them anyway. Consider the casino's operational transparency, licensing, and history of managing customer complaints in addition to its position in online forums while making your decision.

That some people don't fully grasp KYC is a valid point. But I feel compelled to add that sniffing out wrongdoing is only part of the story. It's a rule that needs to be followed so that crimes like identity theft and financial fraud don't happen. It has nothing to do with how large or small a gambler you are and is instead a measure taken to maintain trustworthiness and openness in the online gambling system.
The people that are not easily willing to complete KYC verification at casinos when demanded are going to have nowhere to go for their gambling activities in the near future because there will be strict regulations then, and someone who doesn't complete their verification on time would simply not be allowed to use a platform, gambling is a very far thing, so people need to start getting used to this system because it is most likely here to stay.

While most of us believe that a casino that operates under a license tends to be more safe and secure for us and our assets, this small group of people think that a casino that has a license and asks for KYC verification is going against their privacy, like they are the only ones being asked for it.
But even so you can still gamble without the obligation to do KYC, with the limits set by the casino itself, so in my opinion it's not a problem if you want to maintain your personal identity by not doing KYC, you only need to deposit and withdraw below the limit. But yes, when you get big profits with small capital, of course you also need to do KYC if you want to withdraw the winnings you get in your gambling.

KYC cannot be avoided even though it is contrary to the wishes of anonymity because the average gambling platform has implemented it, except maybe a gambling platform that does not have a license, that is possible, but it is not safe for you to gamble.

And it seems that this policy is indeed based on the rise of gambling activities that are misused, and including gambling using crypto which is experiencing increasing adoption.

KYC is not a hindrance in the growth of crypto gambling as people are ready to do KYC in return for doing crypto gambling. The advantages of crypto online gambling are more than fiat gambling. So that is the reason that online gambling is increasing day by day as more people are leaving physical gambling or gambling through fiat money and moving towards gambling through cryptocurrencies.

KYC cannot be avoided in online gambling or offline gambling, so I don't think we have a choice of gambling without KYC.
859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: July 26, 2023, 04:23:10 PM
I like that how Duelbits representative has accepted their mistake and apologized for the inconvenience. They have even credited $1k bonus as a gesture of apology to the user account. Every casino doesn't apologize for their mistake like this, giving a bonus is far away.

Anyway issue resolved and they did not request KYC.
Congrats man! $20k withdrawal without the KYC verification requirement is really a positive thing there.
Oh wow! Such a generous for a honest mistake. Normally a casino will only resolve the case without compensation about the hassle that it gave but duelbits is quite generous. I hope no one would ever tried to exploit it and abuse their generosity. Actually this is the first time I saw a casino that had been honest for their mistake and gave bonus, its just amazed me.

This also shows the creditability of this casino and gamblers can safely gamble here without any issues.

In times when most of the casino are not user friendly, some of them only looking to get money from the gamblers, casino like Duelbits do exists who give bonus to the users, if there is any mistake by the casino and inconvenience is faced by the gambler.
860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: July 26, 2023, 03:50:10 PM
We regret about missing Bitcoin, then about XRP then about Ethereum then Doge then Shiba then Pepe (these are some top of my head and from what I've come across in my crypto term).

Point being there are always new opportunities and dwelling on regrets is futile.

There is nothing as an opportunity being missed as the prices retrace back and give us another opportunity to invest and take advantage of the surging prices. Some people do not understand this logic, and they just big high, thinking that train has been mised and they just do not want to be left out. It is at such times when they buy at higher prices and prices start to dump.

Patience is the key to trading and if you have patience you will not FOMO and most of the time, will not regret your decisions (as 80% of the time you will take the right entries)
