Will your miners be up today?

Don't seem to be today... Maybe next Monday or Tuesday.....

I just unplugged my refrigerator ....

Ah, I thought you were referring to something else in this thread.

fair enough

Oh, your'e still not mining on your Pool?

What's wrong?

Well I hope he starts soon because I could really use some help! haha

No kidding...at 7TH/s with no difficulty increase it still would take @9+months to find a block depending on luck and your losing @$30 per day by not mining on a pool that is hitting blocks or paying PPS. Maybe the pool operator will plug those two S4's in he says he has and you will get another 4TH/s mining on the pool. Good Luck.

that is why i ask to overhash, it looks a bit ... , like you said before in this thread.

Something don't add up... but the variance on such a small pool is hard to take. I think I would rather just solo mine on CK's pool.

One other thing that bothers me is OverHash says he was a miner as he stated his equipment was older stuff that was not profitable to run but he also said they test stressed this pool, but with what? says he has 2 S4's but can't power them up with the electric circuit he has so is updating his power to 3 Phase...said he should be up and running Monday or Tuesday... still nothing. I guess that is what bothered me so much from the start that a miner goes to all the expenses to start a new pool but was does not have anything himself to mine with. Heck I would mine with anything, profitable or not on my pool until I received my new equipment.

Edit: meant to say S4 not S3

You will also be accused of not being able to do basic math.

When someone says that 1% out of 25 bitcoins is 40%, what would you call it? A math professor?

Luckily everyone can see through a lie like that. It's worse with the things that are believable to newbies and confuse the hell out of them. It's a good thing I don't run Bitcointalk. I would wear out the ban hammer.  Grin

I have never made such a remark, but have been accused of not able to comprehend basic math due to the fact that I mine at BAN and the pool can not keep paying the 10% bonus forever. (Even though nobody can show where the pool  ever said they will pay the bonus forever). All I do know is the pool does pay me every 2 hours and the pool did send me a winning S3 miner from the drawing.
1187  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Whatever happened to Bitcoin Affiliate Network? on: December 10, 2014, 09:39:21 PM
If I like to use BAN's mining pool, does that make me a BAN shill or BANster?

LoL yup. You will also be accused of not being able to do basic math. But heck the payments keep coming every two hours.

next block will be found at 6:23 PM Eastern US time   Grin

We're late. Cry

unfortunately or do we have to wait 24 more hours?  Wink

Sorry about that will elaborate, wasn't 100% sure what aurel57 was trying to get at and used a little wrong terminology.

We are in the process of re wiring/getting 3 phase installed as we cannot currently supply enough power to the S4's with everything else running in the office is what I meant. This is why we have not currently got them mining at OverHash.

We understand people might see the promotion we are running as similar to others, but the cost of 1 S3+ is worth the marketing value. Also the substantial investment/time to setup and run + running costs should also show that we are serious as our server costs alone aren't exactly cheap (yes the server may be over kill, but stability/uptime is a core value to us).

We apologize for the misunderstanding and hope that clears it up for you all!
I am sorry I didn't think my questions were that hard to understand.

Is it possible to mine for this pool from the United States? I have tried to set up my miner to work with this pool but it's always unreachable for me. Is it because of the great FW?

I live in the midwest and have mined on this pool with some of my S3's with no problem.
1191  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 07, 2014, 10:50:33 PM
Thanks, hopefully we can find a block soon! #lucky

Yes hopefully we do!

We are still small so there is bound to be some skepticism, yes there are other pools out there currently with more miners and faster blocks but isn't the whole point of having more pools to spread decentralisation?

I am not against more pools but still would like to know where you mine at with your 2- S4's miners?

If you had read the thread which you quoted us from we are against the other S4's and the PSU's to arrive which is hopefully Monday/Tuesday then the will be hooked up to mine on the pool Smiley

I did read it and maybe I misunderstood what you wrote?

Ah gotcha, thanks for the heads up we currently have 2 already  and haven't had any problems so far *fingers crossed*

1193  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 2 to Dec 15 diff thread. ( +0.15%) to (+0.92%) on: December 07, 2014, 07:09:48 PM
well here we are on sunday morning  price is 370 usd and diff dropping just a bit.  frankly I thought we would have a 4% bump so far this drop is very nice.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty   (-1.52%)

http://www.bitcoincharts.com/  (-0.64%)

If we keep the -1% and go under 40 diff  on the 16th or 17th We may not get another jump until JAN 1 2015  which would mean from Nov 5 to Jan 1

we would have been basically flat lined close to a diff of 40 .    Plug that into your calculators and mining looks a little better then the negative talk we have heard.

a 55 day period with 0 growth looks like a very good chance .  WOW

Who would have ever thought this a few months ago? I am kind of wondering why? You think the equipment that is being sold is not new but sold from farms? Or do we have new equipment sales not keeping up with decommissioned and/or undervolted equipment?
1194  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 07, 2014, 06:33:19 PM
I guess we will wait on an answer to that question?
So maybe the 7+TH/s miner "anonymous" is the pool operator? If it would be nice to know. Look at Kano's pool and you will see both pool operators use their name on their miners which means a lot to me for a couple of reasons.

That is me.

ok thank you for answering that ...so I guess then the pool operator has his 2- S4 miners mining somewhere else?

Good Luck to you guys!

Thank you for your answer.
The time neede't is clear, the benfit side is the point.
I will take my little hashes to Kano, it is the best way i think.
I just got three S1 and undervolted them, and one U2 and a BFL Jalapeno (horrible GH/s to Watt ratio).
By the price of energy i wait for the summer, then the solar array is able to power the units.
At the moment i powerd one S1 full and one S1 only one Blade.

I have a miner mining on  Kano's pool and have mined at times on CK's solo pool. I also mine on BAN which had a S3 giveaway that went horrifically wrong for the pool (even thou I won and received a S3 miner) I am not sure why anybody would try that again? But at this pools hash rate I highly do not think anybody will want the S3 miner by the time if or when a block is found here.

What I don't understand  is why this pools operator would post that he has two S4 miners and not have them on his pool mining?
1197  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 07, 2014, 06:01:31 PM
Huh So what you would advise me then?

I don't know overhash, maybe your'e right, and it's not worth trying.

I only want to give him a try. But if he is not trusted...

Right now there is only two of you mining on the pool at a very small rate of hash. But there are others that have left and have a high amount of shares built up. So the way I see it you both are basically darn near solo mining without the benefit if you would get extremely lucky and find a block you would only receive a small portion of the block as you will share with the others as the top miner of pool shares has 90 times the shares you have right now and at this point they are not helping to find the block. ( At today's difficulty if it never changed, your looking at 12 years to mine a block with only .46TH/s on the pool.)  The pool is new and I would have a hard time trusting a pool operator that is not mining on his own pool and would worry about getting paid if you happened to hit a block right now as a few things to me just don't add up, which is why I have asked questions on here,  but that is my opinion only.
1198  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 07, 2014, 03:29:05 PM
i think he is one of the "anonymous" with 400GH/s usere's ?!

I put my rare GH/s (still begining with it, KW/h in ger is 0.27€!!! ) on his side
but also put on Kano and ck's Solo Pool.

Kano and ck i trust, overhash has to proof...

The pool is reporting  Pool Speed: 0.66TH/s

So even if they are the "anonymous" with two S4 miners they appear to not be mining on the pool. Basically anybody on there right now is pretty much solo mining and I rather trust soloCKpool  with paying me.
1199  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NEW] OverHash.com - VarDiff, Pay TX, PPLNS, Chat, INSTANT PAY [WIN MINERS!] on: December 07, 2014, 11:56:11 AM
I have one question. Why should anybody else mine on your pool when you don't yourself. You stated you have at least 2 S4 miners and wonder where you mine at?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766998.msg9735154#msg9735154

I have all of this going in my small closet now while I work on building the larger one.

Please don't mind the wiring.  It's a mess; I know.  I'm not concerned with neatness at the moment.  I'm about to move this to a new closet I'm building.

I added two more S3's and 4 more S4's.

How much is that putting out? 18THs~?

Will have to put some up of our setup once our S4's arrive Wink

When you say, "Will have to put some up of our setup once our S4's arrive Wink," what do you mean?

Sorry meant to say will have to put some pictures up of our setup once our new S4's arrive Tongue

Gotcha   Grin

Cool...  Look forward to seeing them!

I just got in four more S4's today.  One of them had a blank screen when I first turned it on.  It would not boot up.  I had to loosen 6 screws on the top; pull the lid straight up; press the little SD card about the size of a finger nail in to eject it then press it back in.  Then, it booted up just fine with no problems.  Just saying, in case you run into the same issue.

Ah gotcha, thanks for the heads up we currently have 2 already and haven't had any problems so far *fingers crossed*
