Lautaro Martinez needed a companion after Lukaku's returning to Chelsea. He has been used to play with a two forward system for a long while. It has become like the version in which he shows his most effective performance. Now they have Marcus Thuram instead of Lukaku. I wonder if he can make at least the same level of impact with Lukaku. Lukaku and Martinez were players who knew how to play well together. Inzaghi was preferring the Dzeko - Martinez duo mostly in the recent times though.
However I don't think Inter will make do with only Thuram signing to the position. They aren't interested in Lukaku anymore so someone else should be brought there soon.

It is said that Galatasaray have signed Cedric Bakambu and he was supposed to arrive in Istanbul today. But interestingly Transfermarkt says that Al-Nassr signed him on a free transfer at the beginning of this month. I didn't understand why he would join Galatasaray not even after a month going there. Anyway if that's true then Galatasaray would be in a better situation before the Zalgiris matchup as they have had only Halil in the centre-forward position before.
By the way I heard Paredes continues to reject every offer coming from Galatasaray. Hence they had better look for another defensive midfielder.

Leipzig are also not so differen than Dortmund when it comes to vision. Otherwise as you said Leipzig are normally a rich team that can be quite convincing to sign better names by offering more money. It won't be easy to compete with Bayern Munich regularly anyway of course. Because it will take them a quite much time to build as good squad as Bayern Munich's. Besides there will be some time needed to have full chemistry among the players as well. Besides it doesn't end there either.
Management of a team is the most important thing for successes. If the owners don't have a good understanding of management then it is still quite difficult to achieve big things.

While Lens are about to compete in the Champions League group stage they have lost one of their most critical players who is Openda. If Leipzig weren't a part of the Champions League then maybe their job would be easier to keep him. But as the conditions are equal of course I understand why Openda wanted to sign for Leipzig. Lens haven't been a consistent team to be competitive for the Ligue 1 title for some time and make it to the Champions League as well.
But Leipzig are one of the most consistent teams in the Bundesliga. They have a way more promising squad as well. I started to think Openda did the right thing for himself.

Inter continue to be in search of a striker now. They aren't going for Lukaku anymore as you know. I have read that they are after Morata or Balogun signings. Morata is already willing to leave Atletico Madrid and join an Italian team again. He is 30 years old with way bigger experience than Balogun technically. But when it comes to scoring skills I don't side with Morata too much. Because he isn't the kind of a striker that scores so many goals in a season. He is doing better with a striker beside him as well.
In terms of this situation he can fit Inter's formation nicely. But Balogun has a really bright future on one hand. He was impressive in the Ligue 1 last season with 21 goals. I guess Arsenal would only loan him to them rather than a permanent deal for now. I wonder which side Inter will choose.
I don't know why Inter Milan prefer to choose Morata or Balogun. In my opinion, Lukaku is much better and more productive than Morata or Balogun. Lukaku already played in Inter Milan for a few years, he doesn't need to adapt with Inter squad anymore. Lukaku also proved that he is a good striker and can be a machine goal for Inter Milan, he already scored some goals since he played in Inter Milan. Actually, it is a bit confusing why Inter Milan doesn't want to sign Lukaku. Anyway, I am not familiar with Balogun. Although he can score 21 goals in Ligue 1, I am not sure he will easily score many goals in Serie A. The level of Ligue 1 and Serie A is different, he also needs to adapt with Inter play of style. Inter don't prefer Lukaku anymore because they are out of the talks after hearing about Juventus' negotiating for Lukaku as well. Inter are really frustrated about this situation as they believe Lukaku betrayed them by being in talks with Juventus on one hand. I can't say that they aren't right about that either. Because we have seen the news so many times that Lukaku's first option was Inter no matter what. He even rejected big offers from Saudi teams. It is disappointing as a result. Balogun is very young and not known as much as Morata indeed. I don't know, if they are in search of an experienced striker then they should go with Morata instead. |

Can it be finally PSG's time to win the Champions League title now? It is really hard to answer that question for me at the moment. Luis Enrique has been brought to the job and he is a Champions League winner as well. But he has a different system than PSG have used so far. His system worked very well with Barcelona because he had just the kind of a squad for that. But I'm not sure about the same thing when it comes to PSG's squad. They like to play quick rather than a control possession style.
Mbappe is at the highest level of his performance especially when he plays quickly and penetrates into the box. If we don't see any serious conflict and Luis Enrique build a working system then it would really be possible for PSG to go for the title.

First of all there is no sprint race on this track for this season but maybe they would do it in the next one. The next race weekend with a sprint race is going to be just after Hungarian GP which is in Spa, Belgium. For Hungarian GP I don't expect a big surprise about the winner of course. There should be another race Verstappen wins easily. I wonder what Perez will do in qualifying this time. He has been messing things up for himself in the recent times and he just makes his job very difficult about making it to podium.
I wonder what the reason behind this downfall in his qualifying performance. He still has the fastest car on the grid compared to other teams in the end.

I can't overlook what Spalletti did with Napoli as well. It was really something else. After more than 30 years Napoli won another Serie A title in a really magical way. It was such a dominant one that it would never be forgotten in team history for sure. He could have stayed and worked for maintaining the success but he didn't want the continuation of this relationship anymore. Because he believed that he didn't have any energy left to maintain success.
Now he has even given a break for his job. If the situation is really like that then I believe he did the best for himself. Hopefully Rudi Garcia can keep Napoli being competitive.

It is true that Real Madrid lost their focus on the La Liga title in the previous season. This made things much easier for Barcelona to just dominate the league and become champions. But even though Real Madrid moved their focus to the Champions League mostly they still couldn't have the success they wanted. They even got a really embarrassing result against Manchester City in Etihad. There was no trace of the Real Madrid we knew in 2021/2022 season I'm afraid.
However we watched Real Madrid balance both tournaments at the same time in that season. This is a thing that they can do so they had better focus on bringing back the same spirit with Ancelotti.

Evet bir de bu da doğru. Yabancı kuralı geniş olsa bile sırf takımın teknik direktörü inatlaştığı için yine bir işe yaramaz. Her teknik direktör bunu yapar demiyorum ama yapan çok var. O yüzden ben açıkçası yabancı kuralının olabildiğince esnetilmesi gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Son zamanlarda çok yetenekli oyuncu olarak görebileceğimiz Türk sayısı oldukça az ve senelerdir de böyle. Aslında altyapıdan gelecek vadeden oyuncular çıkıyor ama doğru düzgün şans verilmeyince kısa sürede sönüyorlar ya da zamanında keşfeden yabancı takımlar araya giriyor.

I don't doubt the Vlahovic deal between Juventus and PSG thinking of the player's own good. Because those fans did the same to Lucas Hernandez as well but he has joined PSG anyway. There is no problem at all for him now. The same thing should be happening for Vlahovic as well. He seems eager to join PSG so none of the sides has worries about this situation. Firstly yeah I can agree that Guardiola is really a great coach. He came to Manchester City, built the squad according to his own system and brought great successes to the team so far. But we will never find out what he could have done with an average level team instead of big ones. Because his career has always been with top teams - Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona.
After having a career like this of course he wouldn't like a downgrade in any part of his career. I will give him that about it because I wouldn't either. But it would have been easier to find out how good coach Guardiola is for real.
Because the coaches he has been compared with so far are all people who worked with below level teams as well before starting to work with top ones.

PSG are closing in on Vlahovic deal with Juventus. The agreement is done between the team and player for a salary worth 11 million euros. Now the talks between PSG and Juventus are going on to complete the deal officially. However Vlahovic is also not tolerated by some group of PSG fans just as it happened for Lucas Hernandez. According to news they have threatened Vlahovic with cutting off three of his fingers if he signs for PSG. The reason why they are doing this is said to be related to a gesture he made while he was playing for his national team, Serbia. But I don't expect this to affect PSG or Vlahovic's decision badly of course. |

NaVi made a really nice start to BLAST Premier by beating Astralis 2-1 in the opening round of Group B. Astralis did a good work by winning the first map which they picked. But NaVi stayed cool and made a great comeback to win - 16-6 on Nuke, 16-12 on Overpass. jL and iM were both shining today with nice fragging skills. Their next opponent is Heroic on Sunday. Heroic are currently at the top in HLTV rankings. This is a really early big exam for NaVi with their new roster. However they played a show match against Vitality a week ago with this roster and they seemed strong against Vitality. Hence I will be expecting see the same competitive team against Heroic to fight for winning the series.  |
