If we see 36, I'll definitely be happier. May even have to grab some fizzy wine with one of those pop-out corks.
OK then...

So it seems we've adequately busted down the layers of resistance around $34.5k and are now firmly knocking on $35k's door. Woops! Welcome back $35k! Glad to see you doing well... how's your friend $36k?

No surprise a tool of the state is against something it cannot control.
They may not know much about Bitcoin but they know that when the proletariat start inventing their own financial system, it's probably not in their interest.

The above idea to put solar on every roof top means we burn less coal. We mine the same and store it just in case we get cold and not much sun.
Unfortunately the idea above will never happen.
Due to the false fight over whether or not global warming is real and caused by people.
Solar has its own benefits and panel technology and required related technologies are also constantly improving. It wasn't all that long ago that solar was a negative proposition. It's foolish to rush it. All you do is end up with a bunch of outdated and defunct junk going in the landfill when the better stuff comes along. Solar will be there in its own time because it makes financial sense. Global warming arguments not needed.

Remember your opsec protocol Richy_T.
There's really not much opsec on this username. Potentially I should create another.

Haha! Said no one on the internet ever, lol. It's interesting to me, once you get outside our btc bubble how completely uneducated on this topic the vast majority of people are about it. It's like Dunning-Kruger Mt. Stupid level understanding combined with complete apathy/uninterest about the topic they claim to know all about.
Heck, even within the bubble, there are still quite a few nuances that many people are not really aware of. Change addresses, transaction dependencies, block emission and so on. Bitcoin is definitely the poster boy for Dunning-Kruger.

The next sentence was "So I'm going to stop here until I can increase my understanding enough that I'm qualified to write on the topic", right?

I am not sure I can teach you the whole concept of thermodynamics in a reasonable amount of time in this thread.
That's fine. I believe my o-level and a-level teachers and the lecturers that contributed to my physics degree have you covered. Then why ask? Because I didn't see the closed system you were claiming. And I am not particularly impressed with degrees bragged about on a internet forum to be honest. All I am getting from quite a few of you is that you just want to argue. I am done at this point. Zero sum game.
------
Good night.
You brought up my knowledge and/or capability of understanding thermodynamics. I don't believe I've ever mentioned it before on these forums (certainly not in a long time), nor have I used it to assert one thing or another.

Lets shelve this for 20 or so years if you have the time and then you can get back to me...I will be curious if your opinion has changed by then...if I am still even sucking air at that point. Would that we could. Unfortunately the climate alarmists are all "Marxism now!".

just put all that aside and absorb the cinematography then if you dont believe humanity is impacting our environment either you believe in science and the theory of closed systems or you do not
What is the closed system in your scenario?

Look at that Order Book of Bitstamp. I guess vacation time for most of the ppl.
CB, would it be useful to add the active orders from the Time&Sales somehow besides the passive orders from the Order Book?
Not in the same chart but in addition somehow? Like a bar chart of volume divided into Sells and Buys over time?
Possibly. I don't remember what's available from the API. Do you mean like what's on the right on bitcoinity?

Fair enough.
If the various never ending puzzles of richie T are crowd sourced, sooner or later everything is going to make MOAR senses.
It's really not genius level stuff. The answer is even in the URL.

^^ ... I'm not saying weather modification technology exists but damn if it isn't a coincidence that the covert biowar out of Wuhan was followed by cyber-attacks (masked as "ransomware" hacks) in the West began happening and now rainfall events in Commie China in excess of 200mm per hour!! wtf?
... oh yeah and HAARP was powered up again not so long ago, and it's almost incontrovertible now that the ionsphere and our weather in the troposphere are an inter-linked system
Well, weather modification technology definitely exists. Just what we know about is nothing near that level. But that reminds me of a story that's always stuck with me. Some astronomers in academia were working on a project whereby you would shine a laser into the sky and by observing the distortions, you could remove atmospheric distortions from images collected by telescopes. They were getting fairly far along when the military said "since you're going to work it out anyway, we already solved this problem" and a buttload of research they had already long completed was declassified and released. I didn't get to hear what the astronomers thought of this. Anyway, point is, if something has military applications, the military is probably a fair bit further along than what the public considers state of the art.

This just proves they do not take their peoples lives into account when planning infrastructure iprovements. The 1975 Banqiao Dam failure was the collapse of 62 dams. In a totalitarian regime, you do what you're told and push-back on bad ideas is not an option.

I actually heard of a third slightly before I posted but although I found quite a few references to it, I couldn't find a good primary source. If it happened, it's near Zhenghou City. Obviously the humanitarian side of things is pretty bad but it could be a mixed bag for Bitcoin and stocks. There is also talk that the three gorges dam might be under increased pressure and if that fails, it would affect China's major industrial area and could threaten 100 million people (I don't have much solid on this though).

Wasn't there a reference to some kind of China dam news? That's what I was referring to.
Oh OK. Have it your way then. I guess it didn't happen.

*shrug* he's a WO original. yeah... you engage in these kinds of disinformation campaigns with a decent amount of subtleness, but still noticeable enough for some of us folks attempting to pay some attention.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Reaction to the China dam news?
Link or it did not happen. What didn't happen?

I think all three others mentioned that this has been something some part of the community has actually advocated for.
If by "some part of the community", you mean Luke-Jr then yes. Thinking about it, he'd probably be in good company with Dorsey.
