Yeah, the above is very bad. But we're back to 1982 thinking here, and that's probably the best response in that type of game.

I'm ready...

Where you go from there is complicated. Nation building is not the forte of the US and there will be 140 million very unhappy people with broken Iphones......

Shoulda stuck with the ones where you carry the battery like a briefcase.

... next up "war rations" stimmy checks

... redeemable only with vax pass QR codes

MMT from WEF health security mfers

Vax pass trojan horse has fallen apart but they're pushing ahead with digital ID.

Anyone using a savings account to "save" money and not hodling BTC is simply throwing assets away at an increasing rate.

Savings accounts don't even try to act like they're worthwhile anymore. I joined an online one back about a decade or more ago that was offering 3%. It's currently at about 1/3%. Laughable.

After all, who's going to want to borrow your money (a savings account is basically you lending money) when the central banks can just digitally print up a bunch extra and lend it out for cheap.

Does Elon understand how the world works?

If the price of Gas/Oil/Canolis goes up due to increased demand or decreased supply then it will rise until someone says "Yeah, I'll sell gas at that price". At a certain price point shale oil comes online. At another tar sands. At another synthetic gasoline.

At the same time as prices go up or down I as a consumer change my habits. Instead of driving my 15mpg big Porsche around I start driving the 24mpg littler Porsche. And if the price keeps going up I park the Porsches and drive the hybrid.

There's no "extraordinary measures" needed. Just good old supply and demand. Like bitcoin mining....

You have to be able to develop those sources though and at the moment, the government is standing in the way of a hell of a lot. Meanwhile, Russia is making windfall profits and is using it to fund military adventurism.

Not saying Musk is right (though he is), but you don't have a free market when government starts meddling (especially when it's for political reasons).

I guess war is war, and business is business

War is business.

Joe Biden during State of The Union Address:

  • (Re)fund the police
  • Secure the borders and control illegal immigration
  • Buy American, bring manufacturing back
  • Revatilize the rust belt

Don't forget decreasing the price of insulin.

with all this nuclear talk...good thing i'm a fan of novels like Metro 2033 and games like Stalker.  Of course its a moot point, since your worst enemy will be clean water and starvation.  I think if we killed all wild game in my area (big as a couple states, with more wildlife) it would feed the population for....8 days.

8 days.  No nuclear war pls.

You need enough to hunker down and make yourself an undesirable target while the rest of the population thins itself.

Trump and Putin do not seem to be very rational lately,

Everyone's just letting that slide then?

Whoever designed that Y axis needs a slap. In fact the price labeling is fucked up all over the chart. Is this someone that's trying to present themself as professional?

Edit: I thought this was going to be a kid but this Bianco guy is old enough to know better.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they're all assholes.

This is the best explanation I've seen so far (ran out of merits again), too bad we don't solve all conflicts with sports.

That's the discussion we had last year about the coloured glasses:

But did you check recently? (Most notably between the time you made your comment and the time I made my reply).
574  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 26, 2022, 06:21:52 PM
And the coloured glasses still have their lenses swapped...

I have no idea what you're talking about Wink

You have a good point on the axis though. It seems that liquidity has dropped below the lowest division on the axis so it's no longer represented. I'll have to add some auto-scaling there. The price axis also appears to have become quite stretched out while most of the action is happening in the middle. I'll have to think about that as I wouldn't want to truncate any large price swings. Not too sure about the labeling as it's supposed to be a thumbnail but there's probably room to tweak that a little.

Moms do know though. As do several soldiers tricked into going to the border for "maneuvers" and now ordered to kill people who don't look like nazis in the slightest. My snark about ice cream was just... well just some random snark.

Are soldiers tricked into anything? You signed up, you go where you're told.

I am going to write a post about the whole thing, looking for advices on how to prevent tamper of the seeds once you get it stamped.

What kind of tampering?

Surely EU cant expect the product if they have no way of paying for it. Or can Russian then demand payment be delivered say in gold bars

LOL, should be fun. Much of German gold is in Fort Knox which is to say not in Fort Knox. They asked for it back a few years ago and were told they would get it in installments and not with the original serial numbers. In fact, that might be a big opportunity for Putin to land a solid blow on the US and the petrodollar.
578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 26, 2022, 05:54:46 AM

We can't start having mutiple bots spamming but if everyone wants it added you wouldn't have an issue adding it would you?

I agree but that kinda depends on how that would work. (Though I'm not sure how I feel about adding it over all. Just saying that it's not completely trivial. I think there would need to be a consensus that people wanted it).
579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 26, 2022, 12:25:12 AM

Maybe the thug life shades would be better.

Always red & green with CB. Just happens that Joe already provided the red in this one.

Edit: Also, who made CB? I would love if they can tell me how I can automate the posts. Cheers!

It's just a bit of Perl scripting. That's not very fashionable these days but works well for me. There's not much fancy about it, just HTTP POST stuff.
