11841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 13, 2016, 05:19:48 AM
Waves stays at 30k and no news.

I think it will go back down. The rise was nothing but merely a pump. But it seems the pumpers are not around anymore so expect it to be under 30k in the next few weeks.

and nobody in polo..im alone troll for xem..fuk  Cry Angry

12K is not enough to harvest many blocks... Roll Eyes

How much XEM is recommended in order for harvesting to be slightly profitable? I think a guide to how to harvest XEM should be written and posted online to encourage people to be proactive in the network.
11843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 13, 2016, 05:14:42 AM
I hope the people will hold both NXT and Ardor after the it is all given away. But I am afraid most of the people here are buying NXT because they can get free Ardor and then dump both for a healthy profit in bitcoins. We should change this behavior and encourage the support for the two platforms.
11844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 13, 2016, 05:03:26 AM

Who cares anyway?

Today EXP passed ETH in mining profitability.

Where can we find this information? Is there a website for this?
11845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 13, 2016, 04:59:29 AM
Please help me to understand this snapshot thing..

Let say I have 10000 nxt and remains same during the Snapshot period, which is 91 days or 2184 hours, since the snapshot will be taken on an hourly basis...

So, at the SNAPSHOT period, my total nxt accumulated if snapshot taken on a hourly basis and then added, i.e. 21840000 NXT, which then will be divided by 2184 hours, which comes to 10000 Ardor for me... ri8???

Or my concept is totally wrong..

You can use this example if i hold 10.000nxt for 14 Days with hourly snapshots.

10,000 NXT * 14 days * 24 hours / (90 days * 24 hours) = 1,555

Thx for the clarification..So, at the end of the Snapshot, my 10000 nxt, if remains same, will become 10000 ardor...

Yes Smiley you will own 10000 nxt and 10000 ardor at the end.

I am only speculating here but I want to ask what will happen to NXT after all the Ardor is already given away? Will the ones who bought NXT just to gain Ardor now dump NXT or will they dump Ardor? Or maybe dump both?

I am now suspicious that a lot of the people who recently bought NXT or only in it for the profit in bitcoins.
11846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: July 13, 2016, 04:51:04 AM
Is the rise of Sia over? I think this was only a pumped because there was no huge good news after the price went up. Or maybe we still haven't seen the best part yet?

The SIA was mined previously mainly by users, now, it is mined by the professional miners. So there will be dumps.

So does it mean that SIA will be very much the same like bitcoin? Will the professional miners also become a cartel and have power over the SIA core developers and bypass the community? I hope it's not so.
11847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 13, 2016, 04:47:32 AM
>dat steemit

damnm why is not lisk doing the same  Huh Kiss

It's understandable that most of you just want to ride the pump and then sell for a profit. But what is essential here is the true growth of Lisk. But if you're here waiting for the pump, keep holding. It will come I assure you.
11848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 13, 2016, 04:36:44 AM
it did drop back to below 30k but that's going to be the last time most likely.

A few factors people keep forgetting about waves

1. Not added to poloniex yet
2. Full nodes aren't in yet
3. 16 million dollars were put into this platform.

Is there a plan to get Waves tradable on Poloniex? I think that will be a big positive for the platform. In the topic of full nodes, when will the get online?

Waves had a successful ICO so it would be foolish to think they are going away soon. Waves will be around for years unless their burn rate is high.
11849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: July 13, 2016, 04:24:45 AM
I have an idea for XEM

What if we ask Poloniex Exchange to put this coin on their lending page.
or is it too early to ask.

Please give me some opinions on this.

how about usdt also

I think usdt has a better chance to be listed in their lending page after bitcoin to be honest. But I do want margin trading for NEM, I think it will be good for trading.
11850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: July 13, 2016, 04:18:30 AM
When will we see the official release of the GUI wallet?  I think this will help to get ordinary users to start using Monero as their cryptocurrency after bitcoin.

11852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: July 12, 2016, 07:55:57 AM
The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5)

Then why is the catholic church very rich? They preach things like this but it is they who use money to manipulate the poor people to follow them. Do not listen to them, if you want to gamble then gamble.

MakerDAO Founder Claims “Absolutely Zero” Obligation to DAO Investors In Interview

http://bitcoinist.net/makerdao-founder-claims-absolutely-zero-obligation-dao-investors-interview/

But what is the sense of the DAO if there are no obligation to investor. Is it worthless as investment. For what does it serve?

I think what the MakerDAO founder meant was the Ethereum community. He was asked "How much responsibility does the Ethereum community have to those staked in the DAO?". To which he answered “Absolutely Zero.”

But he seems biased to the hard fork. It's maybe because he has his own project on Ethereum and is protecting his interests. Can't blame him.
11854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FBI May soon open an investigation about ethereum intellectual property fraud on: July 12, 2016, 07:33:34 AM
Complain to FBI is one thing, FBI will open investigation is another thing. They are quite distance. I don't think FBI will handle this, period.

So what does that say about cointelegraph? That they are also instrumental about spreading the FUD and could be biased against Ethereum? I find that unbelievable because are the press. They should be unbiased and facts based.
11855  Other / Politics & Society / JFK Assassination and Agent George Hickey on: July 12, 2016, 07:30:01 AM
There's been a lot of JFK assassination stuff on TV lately as the 50th anniversary is coming up. I think basically all JFK conspiracy theories are nonsense but his was one I had never heard before. Basically that a secret service agent, George Hickey, accidentally shot JFK with an assault rifle as the car lurched forward after Oswald fired the first two shots. to try and substantiate this, the documentary (which came from a 1992 book called Mortal Error) That the angle of the headshot was too low to have come from the book depository building, and ballistic analysis to try and show that the bullet from Oswald's rifle wouldn't have reacted the way it did when it struck the President's head, but the bullet from an AR-15 (which hickey was shown holding shortly after the shots) would have. I know this isn't new, but I guess it's unpopular, as I can seem to find anything credible that have tried to counter these claims? Anyone know anything about this?
11856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 12, 2016, 07:22:37 AM
Is it safe to say that Ardor will be available on Poloniex for trading? NXT is there, so it is only logical the Ardor will be there also. Unless they have other plans.

It should be, why not.

Ok that is good to hear. Because large moves in the market is only possible if it is listed in Poloniex. Like Ethereum, I do not think it will be possible to have large price move if it wasn't listed there.
11857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 12, 2016, 07:20:05 AM
Waves will be listed on MtGox soon after they add Litecoin.  Roll Eyes

Other than that, Bittrex is the only trusted and known place to buy Waves.  Then there is some random, Chinese exchange.

Talk about Full Nodes at the end of this week, so maybe in 30 days from now, we might see full nodes, its only a small team, with small capital, its not like they got millions to hire good devs and get developments done quicker.   Grin

I hope to stand Corrected.

What do you mean by this? I think they made decent funding in their ICO and got millions. So they will spend these millions to make the platform a success. Other platforms had smaller funding yet they are still a success. One good example is NEM.
11858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FBI May soon open an investigation about ethereum intellectual property fraud on: July 12, 2016, 07:15:02 AM
The FUD is strong in this one.
Good luck suing math err... ETH.

But if this FUD and Jared Mimms is just trying to scare everyone then why did cointelegraph print story? We might see the bottom of this soon.
11859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: namecoin accumulation on: July 12, 2016, 04:30:05 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPUJl8uhJs4   one of the namecoin devs giving a recent presentation.

This project is still alive? I didn't think the devs are still working on it. I'm glad to see they still want to pursue namecoin. Good luck to them.
11860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FBI May soon open an investigation about ethereum intellectual property fraud on: July 12, 2016, 04:26:37 AM
I do not buy this. The FBI is not the lead agency in the United States to deal with this

If there is a valid patent and there is infringement then civil litigation for patent infringement would be the likely result not an FBI investigation.

This right here. Who else did he call upon, the Fantastic Four?

If this is untrue then why did Cointelegraph print this? Maybe they have the corresponding documents to the claim of Jared Mimms. Who is the representative of Cointelegraph in Bitcointalk? Maybe we could ask him to produce the copy of the documents.
