121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was bought some bitcoin by sell my land on: February 04, 2018, 02:08:19 AM
With the rates at the low edge, I don't think selling your Bitcoin at this time would do you any good. I hope you did know that in the world of Bitcoin, you don't always have a gain due to it's volatility. Selling your land for investing all of it in Bitcoin is greatly risky. I believe that you have faith in this platform so just hold it for some time. Sooner or kater it would get better.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: February 03, 2018, 04:39:03 PM
Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?
Not all people do have the same interest in life or the leisure that they do seek out.Online games might be interesting for some but not all people would really jumped in the same ship. There would be always a guy who do seek out more thrill in life which would involve money and this is where gambling would take in. They do feel the thrill and at the same time they do possible earn the money.

As Oilacris said, we all have different perspectives and preferences when it comes to the leisure we enjoy. I personally think that people would prefer gambling over any challenging online game because these games does not have the real deal when it comes to the winnings. In gambling when you win, you feel a certain vibe that not any online game has can make you feel. The reward (in this aspect: money) is really a big factor on why people prefer gambling. For gamblers, nothing can beat the feeling of being entertained and at the same time winning some cash. The vibe is just really different that I am having a hard time expounding on it!
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering,It just hit $9000 again. on: February 03, 2018, 02:30:23 PM
Just goes to show how Bitcoin just needs time. Situations like this just proves that Bitcoin comes through and rises back right up. Hopefully, this is the start of it's recovery. If not, then as always make an opportunity out of every situation and don't be a pessimistic. Keep believing because when it comes to Bitcoin, timing is a big factor. So just hang in there!
124  Economy / Economics / Re: Those who have invested in bitcoin when it was 18k-20k$ on: February 03, 2018, 11:40:44 AM
Rookie mistake but I can't blame your friend for his interest especially during that remarkable peak. However, I hope that before he engaged himself with Bitcoin, he should have known that unfortunate things such as what is happening today is bound to happen in this uncertain world of cryptocurrency. Just a piece of advise, if he decides to pull out what he has invested now then he would just end up losing more, so just tell him to be patient. Bitcoin will get its rythm back, you just have to give it time to do so.
125  Other / Meta / Re: Don't you think that merit system is like avoiding new comer in Bitcointalk? on: February 03, 2018, 09:51:58 AM
How is the merit system for avoiding new comers? More like for avoiding spammers, shitposters, and account farmers. People used to rank up really quickly even with little to no knowledge. Now you actually have to post useful and good stuff to be awarded with merits; and I really don't see the problem with that. To be honest earning merits isn't even as hard as I thought it would be. You'd only need to be worried if none of your replies are given merits by people(because obviously, your posts might not be good). It's only survival of the fittest. If you have this problem, STUDY.

Also, you don't need to have merits for Jr member. You only need merits to get Member and above.

Everything that mjglqw said is true. The merit system wasn't made to burden lower ranking members, but instead to motivate and mold them to be constructive members of this forum. I really think that when you're joining forums such as bitcointalk, it is your duty to post something informative and interesting and not just post anything that does not make sense. This situation just solidifies the fact that you should be doing your duty as a responsible member of this forum. The merit points is just for recognition to those who are truly showing their effort. So if you want to receive some, work hard and it will definitely pay off sooner or later.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices dropped, should you buy? on: February 02, 2018, 04:32:18 PM
It has been prevalent that over the past few hours, Bitcoin has been on a rocky road to which is causing panic and worries to some of its users. At moments like this, we always have to remember that optimism is they key to surpass this frustrating time. Optimism may not result to what we expect but nonetheless, you're not stressing yourself out of something that would definitely recover if you give it the time to do so (as a true believer of the capabilities of this cryptocurrency). It is important that we see this as an opportunity rather than a tragedy. Let's make the most out of the current situation to be favorable in our part and in the future, it will hopefully be profitable.
127  Other / Meta / Re: Why is copyscape not integrated here ? on: February 02, 2018, 03:22:35 PM
This is actually a great idea! I am not familiar with copyscape but somehow I feel it provides service like Turnitin where it can give you a score or a percentage of how much of your work is plagiarized or not properly paraphrased. This can be a great addition to the features of the forum. Maybe someday we will see the incorporation of such programs for the betterment of the forum.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: February 02, 2018, 08:05:52 AM
A common scenario for all the newbies in casinos. I personally experienced this thing, I feel like an ignorant guy who just go to casino to make some mess but yeah they actually don't care as long as you have the money to play then they will seat with you. Also some gamblers saw this as an opportunity to fool you and have some money, I encounter this thing before. Well if you are a shy type person, online gambling is way better for you.

What crzy said is true. As a newbie there is a certain shyness you feel and sometimes you don't know where this is coming from. I get intimidated when someone's watching me while I play which is why sometimes I try to find a machine or a table where there are less people passing through. Somehow I get intimidated and feel judged while making my own decisions in the game which would make me uncomfortable. I also get shy when I bump into someone I know and ask me to play with them. I guess I feel this way because I am in the younger bracket compared to them. Somehow you'll just get used to the vibe and be on with it. If you can't conquer the shyness, maybe online casinos would be the right place but I really think that it gives a different feel compared to the real thing.
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Valentine's Day affect BTC? on: February 02, 2018, 04:39:32 AM
I really think that events or holidays does have an impact towards Bitcoin growth. With Valentine's coming up, couples are busy with deciding how to surprise one another or how to give a perfect date for their special ones. This type of an event does require celebration in some circumstance to which depositing of Bitcoin may be needed. Maybe a lot does source out from Bitcoin or maybe they don't. Nonetheless, I wish everyone a happy valentine's and may the odds be in our favor both in love and in Bitcoin.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: wait for bitcoin prices to go up on: February 02, 2018, 12:50:21 AM
Despite the unpredictability of Bitcoin, it has been proven  that even the least of what is expected can happen at any moment because anything is possible with this cryptocurrency. Knowing how Bitcoin's growth can be influenced by different factors, the possibility of it recovering and rising after a major event such as the Chinese New Year is not impossible. However, there is also a chance that it will continue declining due to the other factors that are affecting it. I guess we just have to wait and see because only the present can give us certainty. I can say that if we give it some time, sooner or later it would recover.
131  Other / Meta / Re: Loyalty of the participants to their campaign? on: February 01, 2018, 11:04:11 PM
For a member to transfer from one campaign to another from time to time, it can quickly say so much about that person's personality and motif. As you've said they are disloyal. I don't think it's the manager's loss if a participant wishes to withdraw their participation on a certain campaign. I think as a manager, you don't need people who are disloyal instead you need people who will work hard to promote the campaign and have the courtesy to stay during the whole duration of the campaign because they were chosen among hundreds of other participants. If a member is in a campaign just for the pay, then that person is not deserving of the spot. I guess managers are greatly aware of these people.
132  Other / Meta / Re: Level of Difficulty of Merit Points to Newbies on: February 01, 2018, 03:01:36 PM
The first thing to do is to step back and say to yourself -"Why do I want to increase my rank? "

If your answer is that you don't really care about Bitcoin or virtual currencies, but you heard that Bitcoin Talk is a handy way to pick up some extra income, then you should re-evaluate your motives. This isn't a forum for people to earn easy money by just posting garbled rubbish.

If you are here to learn how to use Bitcoin, or to explore the world of Bitcoin, then welcome to the forum. You should be able to earn points by asking reasoned questions, as well as providing insights and help, but please make sure that your question hasn't been asked many times before.

What Jet Cash said is true. You said that the merit system would be a challenge to the people who wants to rank up. I hope you don't mind me asking but why do you want to rank up? What is the reason you joined this forum and what is the goal you want to reach? I hope you do understand that this forum is a platform to share knowledge or opinions with one another and not solely made for the purpose of earning. I do understand that with a higher rank, people would take you seriously and see your credibility. However, I believe that with genuine intentions, no rank can define your integrity. So I hope you do take time to ask yourself what your motif really is because if its about learning, then ranking up should be the least of your priorities.
133  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System hits me hard. on: February 01, 2018, 11:53:40 AM

I would have to agree with pugman. The main reason why this forum is built is for all the members to express ideas and informations or help one another out when it comes to the aspects of Bitcoin and even other cryptocurrencies. This forum is not a platform solely made for earning money through signature campaigns. If you have genuine intentions towards this forum, the merit system would not bother you. It should inspire you to do better or just keep doing what you do if you believe that you have been constructively contributing to this forum. I understand that most people also felt the same way, but it's time to move on and work hard so that sooner or later you will get the merits that you'll need.

Yup i can understand your point brother and thank you for your honest opinion, i have genuine intentions toward this forum also i joined bounties to help me financially to cope up in what i need in school, because this year is my thesis year so i prolly need budget tho. But still im going to push myself further so that i can improve and polish my posts so that it can contribute well in this forum.

Thank you for handling each of the feedbacks here positively. I understand that you were caught off guard before, that's why you reacted that way towards the new system. I can see now how you changed your perspective in handling the situation and I do understand where you're coming from as well. Aside from learning about cryptocurrency, the reason why I joined this forum is to earn some Bitcoins so I can fund my thesis as well. Through what I earned from signature campaigns, I get to spend for my research without touching my savings which is truly a big help. Now that my research is nearing its end, I will still stay here in the forum for the sake of learning and sharing informations or opinions, the pay I will get is a bonus to the knowledge I will gain. Wishing you all the best for your thesis. Good luck, bro!
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price recover? on: February 01, 2018, 09:26:13 AM
It always recovers. You just have to be patient with all that's happening. The volatility of Bitcoin can truly be unpredictable, which is why you need to get used to it with the help of time. Just hang in there, sooner or later it will be back on track.
135  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System hits me hard. on: February 01, 2018, 07:23:10 AM
Rank has nothing to do with this fucking forum. If you're really here to talk about bitcoin, then rank should be of your least concern. Campaigns won't exist forever, what will you do after that?
Though you're saying you have "moved on" after the merit system has clashed your dreams and fantasies to a sad reality, it really doesn't look like you have moved on..

I would have to agree with pugman. 136  Other / Meta / Re: Smart spammers on: January 31, 2018, 02:29:15 PM
I'd like to make you aware of an interesting case that i've noticed. A guy is leveling up by spamming, although he's doing it in a "smart" way. He's throwing one of the existing posts into some kind of rephrasing software (probably made to combat anti-plagiarism software that looks for similarities in writing). Words in the given post get substituted with synonyms so that it looks completely different but the meaning remains the same.

Examples:

The original:
The relation between the Bitcoin and Economy is very strong. Bitcoin can improve the economy of a single person and also of a country. There are many opportunities with bitcoin for people so that they can earn a good income with bitcoin. Like Working online for the investor and traders of the bitcoin.  working with bitcoin investors make people rich and working with trader give them high idea about the bitcoin too. After that you can also invest and can make trad with bitcoin.

Paraphrased spam:
The connection between the Bitcoin and Economy is extremely solid. Bitcoin can enhance the economy of a solitary individual and furthermore of a nation. There are numerous open doors with bitcoin for individuals so they can acquire a decent wage with bitcoin. Like Working on the web for the speculator and merchants of the bitcoin. working with bitcoin financial specialists make individuals rich and working with broker give them high thought regarding the bitcoin as well. After that you can likewise contribute and can make trad with bitcoin.

The original
Why not?It can be possible to recognized Bitcoin around the world if   everybody legalized it.When BTC was used by everybody no one are poor.
Maybe as of now they know or hear about Bitcoin but lack of information regarding cryptocurrency. And some place has no internet.

Paraphrased
Why not?It can be conceivable to perceived Bitcoin around the globe if everyone legitimized it.When BTC was utilized by everyone nobody are poor.
Perhaps starting at now they know or find out about Bitcoin yet absence of data in regards to cryptocurrency. And some place has no web.

Original
thats good to hear that forex had already decided to accept cryptos on their platform this event could greatly have a big impact to the cryptocurrency economy but not only forex but also some other big companies online like facebook and amazon has also planning to have a partnership with crypto specifically bitcoins but soon they could also add some altcoins like eth as an alternative to bitcoin if ever the fees had sky rocketed again.

Paraphrased
That is great to hear that forex had effectively chosen to acknowledge cryptos on their stage this occasion could extraordinarily have a major effect to the digital money economy yet forex as well as some other huge organizations online like facebook and amazon has likewise wanting to have an association with crypto particularly bitcoins however soon they could likewise include some altcoins like eth as a contrasting option to bitcoin if at any point the expenses had soar once more.

It seems to be working as most people don't notice something like that. It's nice to see spammers are putting so much effort into this. I guess this is what we call an excess of form. Smiley

Solid work, coolcoinz! I think that these posts aren't even considered as paraphrasing, these posts are straight up  PLAGIARIZED. I was taught that when you paraphrase something, you have to change the whole formation and wording but you have to keep the same thought into it while giving recognition to the person who originally stated it. As you can see,  Peterson410 just changed some of the words that even the placement of the punctuations in each of the posts are copied. Wow, how lazy can this person be? Thank you for being very vigilant, coolcoinz! This forum truly deserves more people like you.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They are Banning crypto every where - now facebook on: January 31, 2018, 12:59:13 PM
I mean they have the right because those ads is misleading and leading to scam.   I rather have people learn crypto from other real people not just some ad spam on facebook.

Yup, what hyet24 said is true. Not only the credibility of Facebook is on the line here, but as well as the reputation of cryptocurrency. Although I believe that Facebook has the ability to filter out the ads they wish to show in their site, the idea of cryptocurrency and ICO being incorporated with spamming can be misleading and not trustworthy. At the end of the day, the responsibility of researching and educating oneself towards what is legitimate and what is not falls under our radar. What Facebook is doing is for safety measures to assure the protection of their users, but this will also be dependent on how you handle things.
138  Other / Meta / Re: How to get free merit on: January 31, 2018, 05:07:20 AM
Everyone now in the forum specially low ranked users has only one target : how can I get free merit points , I have the solution for you :
1- improve your writing style
2- try to read posts before relying so you don't repeat something already said
3- improve your English or just stay in your local board
4- try to avoid participating in signature campaigns because this is the big issue in this forum and the reason of the low quality posts nowadays
If you're here to make money then there is millions of opportunities and ideas in this forum that should help you , not only signature campaigns .
Anyway I advice you to forget about getting something free here , every thing has a price , even this post has a price , his price is my time .  Wink

We already got so many topics related to this. But still some people like you are making thread like this again & again.I really fed up with you people. Please stop posting about how to get merits and all this. Not everyone is interested to see how to make quality posts and increase merits.

BTW, you just got 50 merits for this topic.I can't believe a Hero member gived you more than half of his sMerits.I have a doubt on this, maybe it's your alt.

Thank you for pointing this out DU18. OP highlighted in his set of rules how one should read through or check out threads before replying so that no repetition of answers or topics would happen, but here he is going against his own stated rules. I've seen numerous threads of the same topic, but this one gained the most merits at one giving. We all have the freedom to give our merits to anyone we want as long they are deserving. I really think there are far more better posts that are deserving of such merits. How can we make this forum better if these types of threads deserve such recognition? Let's all be responsible in giving merits, please. People should not incorporate their abusive ways in the new system just like what spam posters do.
139  Other / Meta / Re: Merited posts on: January 31, 2018, 12:24:56 AM
Believe it or not, I think there is someone out there who is patiently going through random informative threads and is giving merits to those who are truly deserving or someone who is simply giving an effort. I had the same doubts as you when I learned about the merit system being implemented. I know there are a lot of people here who has been constantly posting constructively ever since they joined but are unnoticed simply because there are thousands of members and sometimes their post drowns in a sea of spam posts. I personally received a merit from a post I did last year and it really surprised me. I guess you just have to be patient because I truly believe that hard work pays off. If you're really doing your part as a good member of this forum, just hang in there. You will get the recognition you truly deserve sooner than you know it! Smiley Good luck, work hard, and believe in yourself!
140  Economy / Economics / Re: If you achieve your target in crypto field then what you are going to do next? on: January 29, 2018, 03:57:33 PM
My answer here is simple. I will get a portion of what I earned and reinvest it in another venture while I set a new target goal for both the fields I am investing in. I am an aspiring civil engineer and I plan to start a construction business that specializes in building and selling. I believe that branching out your investment would allow you to have a good and stable economic stature which is why I plan to continue on setting new goals everytime I get to achieve one while making a profit out of it.
