121  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Unofficial BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 25, 2014, 02:39:21 PM
At least we got some answers Smiley

Regarding the turbo mode, I never saw this "up to" statement before. Was this added later on? I'm really not sure  Huh

It`s even still not on their products page where you order the rigs - just copied this:

Code:
Product Description

Available in 28nm technology from 500 GH/s to 2 TH/s in 250 GH/s increments, nominal.
Hashing power of 200 / 400 / 600 / 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 1400 / 1600 GH/s in power save mode.
Hashing power of 350 / 700 / 1050 / 1400 / 1750 / 2100 / 2450 / 2800 GH/s in turbo mode.
Power consumption: from 300W (400 GH/s, power save) to 3000W (2.8 TH/s, turbo mode) on a standard 110-230 V, 50/60 Hz AC universal power supply (included).
Standard 19” rack mount case with brackets, 4 rack units height (4U)
Control unit based on Raspberry Pi board with ARM11 700MHz, 512 MB RAM and 8GB flash storage
Custom Linux operating system with Web based interface for easy configuration without any command line skills needed.
Front display with 16×2 characters

so simply no... maybe somewhere but not on the product page where we ordered our product.

Amazing... now the people are guilty for that mess he is responsible for -  Lips sealed

Mit Auslösung der Bestellung wurde auch eine Lieferverspätung von 61 Tagen akzeptiert. Diese akzeptierte Verspätung ist noch nicht verstrichen.

So, when exactly did you order? When did they promise to ship.

Are you still planning to do a "Betreibung" on bitmine?

Can they lie direct in the official statement.... if you need a attestor I will be available for you - just PM me. I can only repeat me as an Avalon Clone client I calculate a week with 7 days & my delievery date was contracted with 3rd of Dezember + 61 days. So yes we are moving to 90 days - this is all a huge scamming on clients... don`t be stupid and calculate on their base.

I cannot see any "not guaranteed" or maybe or best effort......people ordered because of the turbo.

So a fully populated rig with full cpp (60%) needs to achieve 4.48 TH/s

2000 posts now and the story begins to explode - I think nobody should accept less than normal CCP calculation dates from now. This scam is getting for sure land in front of the court & there are 100 points against bitmine. Their TOS is even against European & Swiss law - with that whole story now Giorgio would have it hard to go even not to jail.
125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 24, 2014, 09:42:49 PM

I received an update on my Desk order an hour ago at ~1700GMT

"Hi there. Your recent order on BITMINE has been completed. Your order details are shown below for your reference:

Order: #10xx" (80 < xx < 95)

and my order status on my bitmine.ch account has changed from "Processing" to "Completed".

Just FYI Smiley

ps. Dunno my queue number because I never asked, but I had completed payment within about 10 minutes of the preorder queue opening on Sept. 9th.

e

how many bonus modules?

Looks like one, so 20%?

Just one - I can`t follow this for such a delay... seems it`s again a typical bitmine-calculation.

So they say finally that it`s just 2 weeks (TM) late? WTF

It could even be just 1 week, since 200GH is the smallest increment they can make. I have to say, I've been very tranquil about this whole delay -- it's a familiar routine by now since this was the 5th company I've preordered from and they were all late (Avalon Batch 2, Feb BFL orders, megabigpower August Kit + October modules, KnC (1st batch, not delivered until 29th Oct), bitmine).

That said, this is disappointing. Without getting into review of emails, blog posts, or etc, my original anticipated delivery date in my own head was around Dec 16th. Definitely shipping by Dec. 31st, however. Give them until the end of that week, and that's Fri, Jan 3. So this is 52 days after that. Take 10 days off for the allowed lateness and we have 42; round down to the nearest multiple of 10 and we're at 40 days, or 40%.

All in all, I think two modules would have been within the letter of the agreement, and three or four would have been closer to the spirit of the original dates and marketing tone.

This calculation will never hold on court - shipping date was 3rd of Dezember... don`t be stupid and accept that fraud!

They are just pure scammers & not holding their words at all - did you order an Avalon Clone before?

...you know when this clients paid?
130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Avalon mining rig clones thread from bitmine.ch (NOW SHIPPING) on: February 24, 2014, 05:07:57 PM
Thank you al lot.
What to you mean with "Cycle" ? Change the router?

Are there any special configurations for using the miner on wifi/lan?

Don`t think anything broke... what network configuration you want now exactly?

If you want connect the Avalon Clone via WIFI to your network, you have to look at the wifi configuration first - you should have the same settings as in your router. After this I think you just need to look for a tutorial "wifi-bridge" for OpenWRT (the mainboard of the host is just a linux router with OpenWRT fork installed cgminer) - like this: http://root42.blogspot.co.at/2014/01/how-to-setup-openwrt-router-as-wifi.html.

I am using 2 WIFI-bridges with DD-WRT (other linux distribution for routers) & I needed the "wifi-bridge-config" to get them working. Think that should be the key to get it running  Wink

Hi,

where can I find the firmwares & flash-tool - any idea? I look around everywhere... 3 boards make some problems (SICK) and I want to test around if another firmware can fix it.

Thanks!

- Hope everything is OK at you Lucko... was it snowing strong again?

MrTeal maintains this stuff on the Chili thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304250.msg3257013#msg3257013

I have 2 of Lucko's boards. One of them runs better with the 1.1v limiting fw, while the other works best with the "standard" fw.

Thanks I found it later - it`s located in the 2nd thread of the Mr. Teal Chillie post.

Lucko any updates about the last missing 6 boards of my order?
http://www.24ur.com/novice/slovenija/foto-in-video-posnetki-iz-zraka-ob-katerih-zastane-dih.html

I tested if my car can get over one of the lakes and I got stuck there... And got 500€ mechanic bill. I'm not ready to risk it again... All the wood that has broken off is stuck in rivers and all melted snow and rain combines into making a nice lake... I will see if TNT will be able to get hire today. I have it ready but just not been able to send it...

OMG - didn`t know that it´s still so problematic down there.... didn`t want to give you some pressure.

So Giorgio you scammer - did Petahash ordered Avalon Clones??? ...otherwise we are forced to sue you now.

Where are our machines from the "seperate special delievery queue" for old Avalon Clone clients? ...how can CryptX own now machines from January batch?

That is exactly the point. Why do you highlight KnC as the only successful company delivering (almost) as promised? I tell you why: they were the only one where the PCB was designed by the same company that did the chip. They knew exactly what to do to get the chip hashing as soon as put on the board. Everybody else had to go over (numerous) prototype revisions to learn the chip and adapt the HW - this is what is happening here. HashFast are no idiots, CoinTerra are not, and Bitmine engineers are neither.

This part of your reply Zefir answered several open questions imho;
to be forced to do and redo PCB designs takes a lot of time of course.
You have shown outstanding engagement on this forum and I do trust your statements even though you might be biased as a shareholder.

Any kind of improvement regarding transparency is very welcome.

The problem is - the damage is already done.
Difficulty exploded and 2,5 months in bitcoin time is and has been a lot.

+1 & thanks Zefir for all the infos...

WARNING about counterfeit, scam & lower grade business operation by Bitmine!

Now the story of the "not original" A1 chips  Huh  - I am 100% sure this are our Dezember batch chips. What you want to explain with it - someone cloned a fake-chip? ...finally it looks for me your "secret" mining investor sold our A1 chips earlier than he should. How can someone "fake" a chip?

Edited: as now is Video online
138  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 12, 2014, 11:44:58 AM
The funny thing about the "Lawsuits" is, that currently there is no legal base for it "yet": While buying the order from them, you accepted the Customer Protection Plan. The Customer Protection Plan says that they can deliver as late as +61 days after the "Agreed Shipment Date". So, the earliest Agreed Shipment Date there is, is "Last Week of December". Which in worst, lawyer-language could be the 30th of December (I for one am still hopefull that they count for the CPP since 23. December). So 30th of December + 61 days = 01.03.2014. So they still have 2-3 weeks time to deliver the FIRST orders without any legal base (as we customers accepted their Term of Sales). If, of course, the 1th of March passes without devices delivered and Bitmine wouldn't be cooperative in paying back the order-amount + 10%, then I am totally for suing them too, because otherwise you will probably never see your money and device again.

But before that, lets give them the benefit of the doubt, I mean, its also in their interest to deliver the goods. The hardware gets less profitable day by day and they would be stupid to not deliver it now if they could. I think sadly that they really had lots of technical difficulties, which of course makes them amateurs, but what did you expect of a company that seemed to consist of like 2-3 persons back when it started? I for one remain hopeful as the last official info is that they will ship the first orders this week, so lets give them this last few days in peace and without any threats to sue them (as it wouldn't be successfull today anyway).

I just want to remind you:
http://bitmine.ch/?p=4192

"effectively forcing us to delay the December batch orders. As of now, the January and later batches should NOT be affected by the delay"
If you take a look at you calender: Even the 1 week February batch is delayed by this week and there is still no official update.

I am an optimistic but not blind. It's getting very hot for the Bitmine guys soon.

If a great layer would get into this, I am pretty sure we will see if Bitmine intentional planned to screw their customers over at the first order.

Edit:
even this could get them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=215431.msg3026743#msg3026743

they are moving in very thin ice.

Exactly - not only did they change their stated rules - they also denied to have done so. Also they once stated delivery of the first CoinCraft batch from 3rd of december on.

Furthermore you can always sue for/claim indemnification - you don´t have to sue according to  customer protection laws.

I also callculate with 3rd Dezember shipping as they stated this when I bought my units ( + upgraded my old Avalon Clone orders). Here is my post with copied statements from Dez.:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.msg4069552#msg4069552

The old Avalon clone clients was told that they will be the first what will be delievered.
139  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 05, 2014, 03:34:37 PM
So it's more of an overclocking issue. Ofcourse you can reach the 2.8 TH, but you would have to have really excellent cooling conditions, and perfect current delievering the 3 kW.

What power supply are they using?

Must be a custom one (ATX sized) as in the pics of the prototype only a single PSU will fit & there are no 3kw ATX PSU out there.
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU facility - ORDERS OPENED for Chili on: February 05, 2014, 10:49:33 AM
OK my road is open again Smiley

Home we are still with limited power only. Out of 3 phases only one is working from time to time... Not sure how much you know about electricity but generally that means that I only have power in every 3 device or power socket... Also only 2 lights in house are working... But luckily central heating is working again Smiley So I'm totally fine with things as they are...

In the time I was cut from the world MrTeal did send me posible fix to a problem. Will do my best to test it ASAP... Let just hope that today's weather predictions are wrong and I won't end up cut away from the world again. More ice rain and now also some wind...

Grate out of power again...

Nice to hear that you are ok - saw the pics of my friends.... their house was damaged by a tree & no water/heating too.
