122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China: Man Sentenced to Prison for Stealing Railway Electricity to Mine Bitcoin on: October 10, 2018, 08:32:39 PM
This guy really crossed the line in here. Bitcoin is banned in China yet he still has the guts to mine bitcoin using stolen power. He should've used his resourcefulness in another way, not in an illegal way. Worst thing is that those BTCs that he mined won't even suffice in paying his bail. Sometimes we really need to think before we do stupid decisions for it may haunt us down and put us behind bars.
123  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin talk activity increase on: October 09, 2018, 05:43:13 PM
hello friends is it true that you can get maximum 14 activity every two weeks by posting 1 post every day

If you can post 14 posts in a single day, all your allocated 14 activities for two weeks will be credited to your account then you will have to wait for another two weeks in order for you to gain another activity. I suggest that you focus more on reading vital information in here and try to post substantial posts if you want your rank to level up. Your number of activities won't matter if you can't get any single merit. A newbie needs 1 merit to rank up to Jr. Member and 10 merits to rank up to Member and so on.

125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: goodbye fiat and USD. on: October 08, 2018, 01:25:13 AM
I read the local news, and there is several articles that made me interesting, a few weeks ago, the mobile version of the Bitcoin wallet bitcoin platform decided to eliminate the conversion of bitcoin currencies with USD. then replaced with Satoshi.

the decision was taken to eliminate dependence on fiat currency. because bitcoin capability if converted to fiat, will interfere.

developer samourai wallet says "farewall fiat" or "goodbye fiat".

Still they can't eliminate the fact that bitcoin can never replace FIAT. They'll just coexist because there are some people who doesn't even know about the technology of blockchain. There are some remote areas as well that has no access to electricity or the internet.

For me bitcoin will never be a currency. People will forever deem bitcoin as an investment vehicle or a good store of value just like gold.

127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Manipulated by Cryptocurrency Trading Bots: WSJ on: October 07, 2018, 08:14:51 PM

trading bots I often find in altcoin trading with low value, but in trading bitcoin bots are only seen passing and disappearing
bot in my opinion in bitcoin trading is only to disrupt humans not for price manipulation

I guess its much easier to use trading bots if someone really wants to manipulate the market. It's just that it will take billions of dollars for them to manipulate bitcoin's value. The good thing right now is that bitcoin remained strong and slowly holding its ground towards the bull trend.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for bounty hunters Yes or No on: October 06, 2018, 10:02:46 AM
hy all,

please i m sorry asking this or...

i know that someone else might posted this earlier but i want to confirm why is KYC necessary for bounty hunter?
or do you think KYC is for Investors alone or for both.

but to me i found out that kyc is just for investor because bounty hunters are just to promote the project and make the ico successful so i don't see any reason why kyc should be for bounty hunters.

to me proof of authentication is enough to cover the kyc because most times some people tries to cheat in the bounty campaign by submitting multiple account in a particular project, but the aids of the proof of authentication will help reduce the cheating and the rest.

so now tell me what do you think and what are you ideas?

I am not in favor with this but there are some people who has lots of bounty armies. In order to prevent such spams from bounty hunters who has a lot of alts, some projects need to have KYC for bounty hunters but I think its not that really necessary as long as those bounty hunters didn't purchase tokens  themselves. KYC should be done only to token sale participants to prevent money laundering.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the US government passes the Bitcoin ETF, will the market immediately become on: October 06, 2018, 09:59:56 AM
If the US government passes the Bitcoin ETF, will the market immediately become a bull market?
https://www.trackcoinmarket.com/en/crypto-news/31897/op-ed-talk-bitcoin-etf

There's really no assurance that upon passing ETF decision crypto will experience a bull market but its likely to happen since regulation will make bitcoin legitimate to the eyes of the public and will become a more trustworthy investment. There will be more investors that's gonna dive into the vast ocean of crypto space trying to get some profit. All we have to do is wait for that moment and see what the future will bring.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ICO bountiess are a hazardous threat to the value of Bitcoins and Ethereum. on: October 06, 2018, 09:56:55 AM
It won't create much impact with that very small percentage of money from bounty hunters and not all bounty hunters are dumpers. Some of them hoard tokens and wait for right moment to make a huge profit. I was once a bounty hunter few months back and I invested to different good projects that I find to give me good profits in return. Those dusts of money won't really affect the whole value of bitcoin as a whole. When we talk about bitcoin's value we are talking about billions of dollars and even a million a day won't affect that much.
131  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Price Manipulated by Cryptocurrency Trading Bots: WSJ on: October 03, 2018, 05:05:34 AM
https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-price-manipulated-by-cryptocurrency-trading-bots-wsj/

Trading bots are rampant in the market. Many whales are actually using such bots to execute the trades in behalf of them doing it manually. The good thing about using bots is the absence of its emotions, unlike us we often let our emotions cloud our judgement.

Do you really think that trading bot is capable of manipulating market prices as a whole?

As what I understand about trading bots, humans are still the one who are setting it up and limiting the trade operations to be done daily. Is this really one of the factors that affect the price of bitcoin to go down? Share me your thoughts. Thanks!
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BITCOIN VALUE INDICATOR SAYS PRICE ‘STILL OVERBOUGHT’ BUT BOTTOM ‘NEAR’ on: October 02, 2018, 08:29:15 PM
https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-value-indicator-says-price-still-overbought-but-bottom-near/

“Bitcoin is probably still overpriced, but the fundamentals are steadily improving while the average price of Bitcoin has continued to fall,” he wrote concluding the findings.

I somewhat agree with this statement. As much as I wanted to see bitcoin's value reach its new ATH for this year yet seems so vague due to lots of factors affecting its performance in the market.

From your own personal opinion, what should be the rightful price of bitcoin considering every factors to acquire a coin? Is bitcoin really overpriced despite the difficulty of mining a coin nowadays and the resources needed to perform such tasks? Share your thoughts!

134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Continues to Consolidate As Volatility Reaches Lows of 2018 on: October 01, 2018, 07:54:33 PM

I don't much interested about the fourth quarter of this year because I believe that there will be nothing new is going to happen in the remaining days of this year but I hope this is the flat market days expected to have more investors when it has enough stability on the prices for a while now at that time the bull run will begin and will go for another new all time high and the cycle will keep repeat N number of times.
A lot of things can happen in 90 days. Maybe history will repeat itself? The unexpected bull just like what happened last year December. Grin
The market is uncertain and unpredictable. But there has been nothing in the past few weeks to suggest that the market would recover in the final quarter of the year.
This period in the year usually leads to market pumps but with pending decision regarding bitcoin ETF and increased restrictions in some countries this year might be different.
ETF decision won't affect bitcoin value that much. There are still lots of die hard bitcoin supporters lurking in the shadows who believes in the technology. The bitcoin community won't just let bitcoin go down the drain cos of ETF decision being turned down.

135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Continues to Consolidate As Volatility Reaches Lows of 2018 on: October 01, 2018, 04:24:08 PM
Bitcoin BTC technical analysis for 1st October 2018. Bitcoin continues to consolidate as we enter Q4 of 2018. We have experienced a prolonged bear market for the first three quarters of 2018, will the last quarter be any different?

https://blokt.com/technical-analysis/bitcoin-continues-to-consolidate-as-volatility-reaches-lows-of-2018

I think the last quarter will exhibit a bullish market. We have been in the bear market for quite a very long time now since the year started. Hoping that by the last quarter there will be a recovery when it comes to bitcoin's performance in the market.

Whether we end this year a bear or bull market, I still believe in the technology and always supporting bitcoin. What are your thoughts on this guys?
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin and decreases in 2017 and 2018. on: October 01, 2018, 03:50:53 AM
$6k to $500 is not realistic indeed. That huge dip is very impossible to happen. If ever bitcoin will fall to that very low value at the end of the year then altcoins' value will be down to zero. For we all know that when btc value drops, altcoins value will go down as well.

That down fall will really create panic if it will happen. We can't really tell but in my own honest opinion about the value of bitcoin, I'm pretty sure that it wont go down past $5k. We shouldn't underestimate the community that supports this awesome technology.

Bitcoin has gone so many downfalls but still remained strong and recovering every dips that happened. What I can see is that by the end of the year or the beginning of the next year, bitcoin will have a strong recovery. We just have to wait and see what the future will bring.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the largest purchase you've made in Bitcoins? on: September 29, 2018, 01:14:37 PM
As far as I can remember its steam wallet. I was shopping for some games and ingame items. Also gifted some of my friends few games for us to play with during weekends. Roughly, I spent around 0.3 BTC. It may not be a huge amount for others but for me that's the largest that I purchased so far online. Right now I'm into hoarding as much BTC as I can for I do believe that BTC will skyrocket 2-3 years from now.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Arrogance of Bitcoin is its own main Enemy on: September 29, 2018, 01:05:36 PM
I don't agree with your post. First, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency not a person. The term arrogance won't apply to a thing. If you find something that has of great value arrogant then there must be something wrong with your judgement. I just don't understand why there are some individuals who are so salty when bitcoin's value skyrocketed. They are really doing their best to bring down this awesome technology for they don't understand a thing. We are moving into the digital world and nothing can stop this technology for this can bring lots of benefits to all of its users.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto- addiction, Signs you may be an addict on: September 28, 2018, 07:49:37 PM
Everything that is done excessively is an addiction. If you can't balance your time and spent almost everything into crpytospace then you are really addicted to it. Everything that is above and below normal is not good. This will create stress on your part specially if the goal that you wish to achieve will not be met. You need to just chill and manage your time properly. Addiction into something will always lead to stress and depression.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and fake news on: September 28, 2018, 07:02:44 PM
If there's no fake or negative news about bitcoin then there will be no balance. Yin and yang, positive and negative is always present in this world. That's the best thing about this technology because of those fake news we were given chances to purchase discounted bitcoins.

This technology will not be tilted by those fake news. If Im a newbie into cryptospace and learn more about the technology then I would research thoroughly and be able to spot which is fake news or not.

We'll just wait and see what the future will bring. Have a great day everyone and happy hodling!  Grin
