Hey MT, is there a shipping fee for international buyers or is it included in the cost?

The shipping fee is included in the price for any destination. Depending on your country's customs you may have to pay a tax.

what happened to the offer to give these away you made on onlyonetv bitcoin show when your site was hacked. you said they would be free to peeps who had trades reversed, ie inconvenienced..

i stand corrected, they are free if your account was affected like mine !

If someone is computer literate enough to be using TOR, why would they pay money for a book in a torrent they are more than capable of getting on their own?

131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deepbit nearly at 50%! Change Pool now! on: July 06, 2011, 12:13:34 PM
AFAIK even if worst case take over of deepbit network happened it would only mean temporary problem for bitcoin network, as new client version will be released to reject fake block chain, and people will stop using deepbit at that point, and probably more in the future once they have had that sort of thing happen.

so dont fret, but sure peeps out there should be better educated that being with biggest pool doesn't necessarily have any particular advantages worth choosing it for.

i started with deepbit but have since moved to a local (my country) based pool which has a real tight nit and helpful community that you get that chance to become friends with in irc etc.

132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GPU 450 Mhash/s , HEAT problem! , Specs in thread. on: July 06, 2011, 12:07:05 PM
a big thing for me and im sure others is ambient room temperature. if i have it in room with heater running it will make 80c or 90c easy. but without heat (it is winter here in au) i get a nice cool 70c.

but as may have been mentioned its not just gpu fans that effect their temp, all the fans will help cool the hole thing down, so look into better or more case fans, even leave the case open and as suggested get house fan aimed at it
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why underclock video memory? on: July 06, 2011, 06:26:32 AM

There is no need to have fast memory, or much memory, when hashing since nothing is being cached in the RAM on the card.

so this is why i wonder if its really worth it as its not even being used so musn't be using squat power

Since the RAM on graphics cards are Dynamic Random Access Memory(DRAM), they need their values refreshed on an interval since the capacitors storing memory leak the voltage. This is done regardless if a address in memory is being pointed to or not, or "being used" in simpler terms. The memory clock controls this refresh interval, thus lower memory clock equals lower intervals to refresh voltages, which uses less power.

thanks

Being a gift/donation makes it harder to reverse it. Having it already spent aka in your other account makes it even harder.

sorry but it doesn't as discussed in other threads. there nothing stopping someone claiming unauthorized access/use. and paypal reversing the funds. and dont think moving it to another account will save it, they'll follow it and get where ever it goes. unless you go through the process of withdraw and that takes time to setup, and then they will just close your account and you will have to set it all up again if they even let you. as they will no doubt block the same details and bank account being connected up to a pp account again after closure.

too bad mate, its no good.

there wouldn't bet many surprised to hear that though. its funny ebay was cancelling the listings and when i first looked on ebay au there was 1 international listing. now theres heaps of domestics.
138  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Optimizing ATI performance, 6950 in particular on: July 06, 2011, 12:22:27 AM
yes that is correct . just checking. im not sure what your problem is and it is lucky you do a have a backup bios. maybe you just are unlucky however with your card. im not sure if peeps have 100% success rate with these procedures. i cant think of anything more to suggest, maybe someone else can.
139  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [BETA] Dark Exchange: a 100% decentralized p2p exchange on: July 05, 2011, 01:20:52 PM
how counter-party risk is mitigated on such a exchange i.e. what are the chances that after I transfer my bitcoins to some anonymous guy I get any fiat in return?

ditto
